Hell yeah! Glad to hear I can share some ideas! Make sure to post a video when your done!😁
Great work, nice result! I'd have gone for a more café racer humpback seat personally (I was doing a similar build i.e. a black café racer with a 1990's Triumph Bonneville but the weather over here just killed the project and my garage). You have access to a brilliant shop!! A walk in powder coating oven?! That must be for professional use surely!
@@shovelchop81bikeralex52 haha! Thanks for the feedback. The seat could definitely be better, but for my first time doing a custom seat I’m happy with it. I used to powder coating for customers but haven’t for a while since I started a new job. Good luck with future projects!
Great job. You did a fantastic job fixing it the way you wanted it! 😊
Absolutely love the dedication you put into this thing. Great job!
When this started I was all oh no… Gona jack up a perfectly good gold wing. But by the end I was all damn that’s really nice. Great job Mi Amigo. Definitely something to be proud of.
Building an 83 wing bobber RN and may or may not steal some ideas I love it!
@@DangerousDaedric that’s sweet man!
I like it!! I also like the riding part at the end. Nice camera angle and amazing area. Greetings from the Netherlands (Europe).
Thanks! Appreciate the support from across the ocean. Glad to hear you enjoyed the video!
I like the original setup of the Goldwing, but you have really made that one bad ass. Cheers!
I like what you did here.. I had a 1983 GL1100 Aspencade that I chopped into a cafe style bike too.. I managed to to retro fit a set of analog gauges and ditched the digital dash that my bike came with. I had to go through every single wire in the front harness to see what it did and how to make them work with the analog gauges LOL .. Wish I still had that turd of a bike :)
Stock rear fender had a good shape should have kept that and trimmed it up. Hats off to you bro
@@ahbalone thanks man! Wanted just a little more aggressive look, not sure if I have it in the vid but it actually is the stock fender, just chopped and pulled in. I do think I could’ve left a little more on there.
I like your build. Perfect blend of I did it myself, did a good job, good ideas and good use of what I had to work with on a budget.
Would love to see another one of these builds
Sehr schön gemacht . Eine tolle maschien, ohne Schnikschnak, einfach nur geil
I bet it handles nice because they're pretty good stock except for the side clearance. I'm curious as to how much weight you were able to take off the bike😊
@@ahbalone I definitely need to weight it some time. I’m actually pretty stoked on how it handles. Super smooth with the flat 4, and goes straight like it’s on rails. In the turns, I definitely struggle more than my buddies on lighter more aggressive bikes, but I’m feeling good on an all day ride while they are standing up cause they are bouncing around on a hard seat.
bro did a better rattle can job than me doing with my air compressor
@@udaralakshan5206 haha, 20/20 paint job. Good from 20 feet away at 20mph😂 what the video doesn’t show is me screwing it up the first time, sanding it down and redoing it.
Very cool project ! Bike truned out great. Love that mix of blacks powder coatings. Simple but effective. Makes me want to get a goldwing and work in it.
Cheers buddy.
I thought it would be something I could do, but man, you have skills …
Beautiful bike
This build is as we say in the U K THE DOGS BOLLOCKS or THE MUTS NUTS and what a transformation I've got to have one of these GOLDWING SPECIALS its awesome. Matt from HASTINGS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM Across The Big Pond.
@@matthewfrancis8825 haha! That’s awesome, can’t say I’ve heard that before! Appreciate the support brother!
Wow! Nice work! Makes me want to buy a cheap goldwing and build this. This is an epic build. Nicely done!
Your one bad dude bro great work 👍
Thanks man😎
You did an Awesome Job on this Build! I love how it turned out! 🔥🏍️❤️💯
I bought a Yamaha Venture for $300 a couple years ago, and now I know what I'm gonna do with it!
All I can say is I wish it was mine. Awesome build.
Haha! I think you gotta build your own now man! Hopefully I got you hooked and gave you some good ideas.
Superb video and astonishing build! But brother, pleaseee, look after yourself! Easy to forget being young and feeling indestructible, thats exactly how i feel myself! Breathing in fiber glass is bad, bondo even worse! Paint is no good too... only got one pair of lungs! Anyway loved the music, loved everything in this video, many thanks!
@@Elmantukas thanks man! Appreciate you lookin out for me. Definitely something that’s easy to overlook but I’ll keep your words in mind. Have a good one!
I have an 83 Goldwing 1100 I am kinda doing the same thing to. Funny thing is the exhaust broke in the exact same spot when I took it off. So far I just ground it smooth but I plan to weld on a piece of fresh pipe so I can connect smaller mufflers.
Dude I was not expecting it to look as bad ass as it does. Great job!
Great build mate. You're lucky to have such great roads to ride around. Nice video. Greetings from Thailand.
I got a 1979 for free from my dad and its a base model Gold Wing, so isnt going to be a lot of work to make a bobber of it. Cafe racer would be fun but thats always an option too, just gotta see what it feels like it wants to be.
@@thegrey8643 that’s awesome man!
Bro, you basically made a Valkyrie out of an 80’s goldwing!
Haha, I won’t lie that was part of the inspiration behind the build.
Great job I'd 1000% buy that's bike if it were for sale, would be cool to see a newer goldwing motor swapped into it. Also use some Mothers aluminum/magnesium polish on the forks and any other parts you didn't powder coat to make them shine
You' ve done an awesome job with that GW.
Dude.. that thing looks SICK. good job.
Thanks dude! Glad you liked it!
That is absolutely amazing I love everything about it. But personally I really don't like that seat. But other than that it is amazing
What a guy!
Great content.
Just found you today. Youve got lots of skills and a good set up at home to do everything yourself. Jealous of that!
Best wishes from a very rainy 🏴
Wow that's a fine looking bike. Would love to see some tuning on it. Good job sir
Thanks!
Should've painted the fork legs gloss mirror black. Should've painted the rims black as well. Next time
Enjoyed the video it was a fun build to watch. I think you definitely hit a custom feel for it that suits the nature of the bike and your own preferences. 👍
Nice build. More impressed with the driveway but that's just me .
Haha, it is a nice driveway.
Very cool, brother. Love seeing you doing all of the work yourself.
Appreciate it man! Glad you enjoyed the build!
“True classic American bagger”
😂I thought I was pretty funny there. Glad you caught that
From 1980-2010 they were built in Marysville Ohio, and something like 80 percent of the Goldwings sold go to the North American market. So even though it was probably a joke, it’s fairly accurate. Nice build.
@@davidburnside2944 haha, I did not know that😂 thank you for the info!
Bro I disagree with calling it a cafe racer build, but you put a lot of work into it, if you like it and enjoy riding it more power to you. I can agree it's a sharp looking ride.
great job! keep at it you will only get better and better the more you progress and learn! im impressed!!
Gold Wing and Cafe Racer are two mutually exclusive terms.
Really like your budget.
Really like your workshop.
You made that into a lovely oneoff custom bike ,great job.
