when she said half an onion and showed that bowling ball size onion i laughed so hard. if my unions were that big i too would only use 1 union per dish. i love union like her haha
Thank you I just made this with lamb leg and I put in the instant pot on high pressure for two hours (about 3lbs of meat) I added some additional spices like cinnamon stick bay leaves and wow it came out fantastic thank you
I've had birria a few times in my life and it is amazing. the place that served it was a small family owned restaurant. it was the best tasting meal ever. unfortunately they are no longer around 😢. I haven't been able to find any place that puts so much love 💕 in their food like they did. thank you for the recipe . my daughter wants me to make it. prayerfully I can do the meal justice ⚖️. 😊 can't wait to make it happen.
That was brillant! Your delivery and energy is fantastic! How do you not have a network contract already? I haven’t tried birria yet but it looks great! I want to make it at home but I don’t know how it’s supposed to taste so I’m going to go out to get a bowl today from a place my friend recommended. Perfect day for some warm soup on this overcast and drizzly Southern California morning. Thanks for the inspiration!
I'm so obsessed with Birria you made this recipe seems very easy and doable for non latina cooking folks like me. You're the best thank you for uploading this. ❤️🙏
Your video is great, all the other videos have people talking way too much. You know the arts of balance my dear. Great recipe. I will follow it through
It sets the time automatically. It is like 40 minutes and other 20 for the Instant Pot to achieve the pressure plus the time to let cold down to be able to open
This is truly historically authentic. Researchers have found that the people who created the recipe in Jalisco worked tirelessly to perfect the cooking technique on their... Air Fryers and Instapots?
My family has it's own recipe, we don't cook in the slow cooker, instead we make a huge pot with the sauce, marinated beef ( marinated in sauce) and water then boil it until the meat is really tender but make sure to balance the amount of water with the amount of meat or else you miss out on flavor.
Takes about 1:30 to 2 hours if you leave it in a simmer, but depends on bone in or boneless meat. Best way is to poke at the meat until you feel it is tender
It is not spicy just do nit add the red chili or chile de arbol, food recipe in my blog Google Birria food and deals by Laura. If you have ore question send me a DM in IG
Keep in mind that back then they didnt use stoves back then or have special fancy pots like we do now. Back then they worked with whatever they had. My family makes it a certain way than most people. They used all the red dried chiles and spices of course but back in the old days things were done underground so sorry. You are incorrect but now we make things more advanced because of how much has changed over the years. My family to this day makes birria de chivo or borrego underground maybe where your from they made it differently. Also the method my family uses is a rare method but still it is done in mexico but now people use a stove. So theres no right or wrong way to make anything 😊@MexicanFoodbyLaura
Wheres the beef bones, chili de guajilo arbol and pasale marjoram cloves roasted tomatillos vinegar bay leaves all spice coriander Coffee grounds and garlic ??? !!! You forgot so many ingredients. The recipe you have is Totally NOT authentic

Thank you AWESOME
My pleasure 🥰
Can I skip pn the thyme? I really don't care for it
Yes
I made Birria Pupusas! 😋
That sounds so good!
Gracias ama you are wonderful
De nada mijo 😄
Which kind of meat 🍖?
I used goat but you can use beef
I only have California chilies will those work for the sauce
Honestly it does, it’s going to be the base of all the taste.
If I don’t have a pressure cooker how long do I leave it in the Holla ?

I might say about 2 hours of it is goat, for beef probably 40 minutes to 1 hour
So meager on all the spices except oregano! Is this a teaspoon/tablespoon typo?
The best way
If I don’t eat spicy (hot) food, can I skip putting any chilies?
It is not spicy just do nit add the red chili or chile de arbol, food recipe in my blog Google Birria food and deals by Laura. If you have ore question send me a DM in IG
Arepa Birria❤❤🥰
Que delicia!
Going to make with my goat meat that I raised myself:)
I made enough for 3 people for 4 days. Tacos, ramen, quesadillas then enchiladas
I’m going to try with pork this weekend!!
How it came out?
@@FoodandDeals AMAZING! We started using pork more often for Birria because of the cost.
What kind of black pepper? Is it the ground black pepper? I’m a little confused about the “10 black pepper” in the ingredient list 😢
Yes, pepper corns but instead you can add 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
Thank you so much!
In my town where I wa raised in Manalisco Jalisco we always used Lamb and it would cook underground all night until the next day.
That is barbacoa de hoyo amigo

The original in mexico does not get served with cilantro!
I prefer the goat meat .
