I’ve just stumbled onto your channel. Came to see someone playing the Roundabout bass line (I don’t know why. I don’t play bass; I play rhythm guitar), and have stayed b/c your channel is awesome. Also, Kiss was a huge influence on me, growing up in the 70s. Thank you for sharing!
I absolutely love this stuff. I love the horror stuff and just cool dark artistic things. Been hoping that you'd do a video showing this stuff off for a while; glad to see you finally did it. Not sure if you remember a comment I made on one of your previous videos about whether or not you were using a Sansamp YYZ pedal. But I picked one up and have been very impressed by it. I have been playing bass for probably around 20 years and I've never used a pedal before, it was always just straight through an amp. I wouldn't mind seeing a video where you compared the other sansamp pedals with the YYZ pedal, or just your gear in general. Looking forward to more videos like this one. It's good to see you talking, I'm sure that most of us want to hear what you have to say and learn a bit more about who you are. Always love your videos! Hope you're doing well in these crazy times.

A video like you suggested would be a little beyond my capabilities as I don't know how to get my bass to record direct along with my voice. I can only do one or the other. Loved the tour Troy! Want to let you know: the Sea Foam Green ‘62 Jazz Bass Geddy pictured in his book came from my collection. He loves it so much that it replaced his Black ‘72 which he used for years!

Hi Bud. I was hoping you'd email me (and still hope you do) but I'll tell you how it unfolded. I got that '62 Sea Foam Green refinished Jazz Bass about 7-8 years ago off my buddy Gary. He got it off fleaBay years back from the original owner who refinished it in the early 80's with Duco car paint that he got directly from Buick. So, upon finding a fully stock early '62 slab board Jazz Bass, I decided to sell a couple of my refinished ones to help fund the purchase. So I sent two down to Guitarbroker in Florida and a few weeks later he texted me saying: "Geddy bought your Sea Foam Jazz Bass." He sent a couple pics in their rehearsal room with him in it with the bass which I'll share with you if you drop me an email. That was about the extent of it. He handled the sale totally and I had no interaction with him unfortunately. I did request a book from him seeing as it was ME who let that bass go and it's now his FAVE bass! But I got declined. I preordered the Geddy Lee bass book as soon as it was announced. Never even removed the wrapping from the book. So basically unopened, bran spanking new. Amazing how over the years all these items it added up to such a great collection:) Looking forward to your bass guitar vids. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, Lynn and I have both been deemed as "expendable", I mean, "essential", so we're both working. I may take myself out of the game either this week or the next, depending on how things progress.

Aw thanks. I have to say that one of the biggest joys in my life are our cats. Whatever is happening in our lives, we can always go from room to room and find one to kiss, hug, chase, play with... Gabby would much rather be with her owner but, since that's not possible, we'll try to give her the best life she can have. You be safe as well... it's amazing that both Lynn and I have been deemed expendable... er, ah, I mean essential, just as you have.
Love me some horror movies so i really enjoyed watching the tour you gave during this video. I'm sure you've been asked a billion times(including by me in a private message) about the masks. You called the figurine at 12:45 the sideshow freak, but couldn't remember where it was from. I know what I thought of when you first put the camera on it........i thought of the crazy backwoods people from the "Wrong Turn" movies. The hair and face kinda look like those characters, but not sure about pretty much everything else.......the black clothing, the big hands with pointed fingernails, and the mouth. It could still be them.....they were pretty messed up looking.
I remembered it in the continuation of this video. It was the Sideshow Freak from the movie, "The Funhouse" which was directed by Tobe Hooper. Very cool movie. But, I agree, the character is very reminiscent of some of the Wrong Turn characters.
Oh wow. My first wife and I used to work for Jim Shore. He had a place in Heath Springs SC. We are both from around 20-25 miles from there. This would have been back around 89-91 if I remember correctly. She was a painter for him, and I was one of the poor souls that ground the casting flash from the art pieces so they could be painted. Love all the art you have there.
That's very cool! We used to love their stuff, but at some point it seemed to lose the magic. We still have a bunch of older pieces though. Do they make anything in the states these days?
@@TJH3113 , I don't know. I think he eventually became more motivated by money than art. His designs suffered and production moved out of the states for all but his signature merch. He could be kinda harsh at times, but his wife was always really sweet. They were good to my wife. When she got far enough alone in her pregnancy with our son, and for the first month or so after he was born, they let her take a few hundred pieces home and she painted them there, and took them to them after she was done. She had to work from home after she gave birth. She was / is tiny, 5'3" and maybe 105lbs, size 0-2, had to shop in the junior's section, or special petite stores, even today in her late 40s. They had to cut her in order for her to be able to have the baby and she had something like 30 or more stitches. Poor thing suffered for a while. He really had some creative and interesting surrealistic pieces that I wish that I'd bought. One was dwellings, Hobbits or Dwarves maybe, in a series that were suspended or that floated, and they had roots and things hanging from the bottom of them. Very cool.

I never saw myself in that same light, but I believe you are correct. Those busts are great, aren't they? Those prints, unfortunately, when I framed them, the artist's name was blocked. There is a band called the Invincible Czars that play live music over Nosferatu. I've seen them a couple of times during Halloween time at the Picture House in Pelham. You should check it out if they do it again this year.
totally NOT a waste of time. i tune in often, whenever I can. I dont have a lot of horror themed figures, nothing as cool as what you have. i have a 16 inch Tall Man from Phantasm complete w/ chrome sphere. I also have a pretty big figure of Darkness from Legend, thats really cool. lastly i have an 18 inch Darth Maul with double bladed lightsaber. anyway, stay safe and well and have a good one. 🙂

My favorite mask is Hellion! Oh Troy you have an actual museum there. All of your items ameaning, historica and have a lot of depth. Your place is so neat. i was hoping you would've put the camera on sweet Lynn. Hello Marvine. Hellion is an interesting choice. He has a menacing smile, doesn't he? I haven't given thought to wearing a mask again, but you never know. I rarely get to watch any television or movies. I'm usually either working or playing.

Aw thanks. I have to say that one of the biggest joys in my life are our cats. Whatever is happening in our lives, we can always go from room to room and find one to kiss, hug, chase, play with... Gabby would much rather be with her owner but, since that's not possible, we'll try to give her the best life she can have. You be safe as well... it's amazing that both Lynn and I have been deemed expendable... er, ah, I mean essential, just as you have.
Love me some horror movies so i really enjoyed watching the tour you gave during this video. I'm sure you've been asked a billion times(including by me in a private message) about the masks. You called the figurine at 12:45 the sideshow freak, but couldn't remember where it was from. I know what I thought of when you first put the camera on it........i thought of the crazy backwoods people from the "Wrong Turn" movies. The hair and face kinda look like those characters, but not sure about pretty much everything else.......the black clothing, the big hands with pointed fingernails, and the mouth. It could still be them.....they were pretty messed up looking.
I remembered it in the continuation of this video. It was the Sideshow Freak from the movie, "The Funhouse" which was directed by Tobe Hooper. Very cool movie. But, I agree, the character is very reminiscent of some of the Wrong Turn characters.

Oh wow. My first wife and I used to work for Jim Shore. He had a place in Heath Springs SC. We are both from around 20-25 miles from there. This would have been back around 89-91 if I remember correctly. She was a painter for him, and I was one of the poor souls that ground the casting flash from the art pieces so they could be painted. Love all the art you have there.
That's very cool! We used to love their stuff, but at some point it seemed to lose the magic. We still have a bunch of older pieces though. Do they make anything in the states these days?
@@TJH3113 , I don't know. I think he eventually became more motivated by money than art. His designs suffered and production moved out of the states for all but his signature merch. He could be kinda harsh at times, but his wife was always really sweet. They were good to my wife. When she got far enough alone in her pregnancy with our son, and for the first month or so after he was born, they let her take a few hundred pieces home and she painted them there, and took them to them after she was done. She had to work from home after she gave birth. She was / is tiny, 5'3" and maybe 105lbs, size 0-2, had to shop in the junior's section, or special petite stores, even today in her late 40s. They had to cut her in order for her to be able to have the baby and she had something like 30 or more stitches. Poor thing suffered for a while.
He really had some creative and interesting surrealistic pieces that I wish that I'd bought. One was dwellings, Hobbits or Dwarves maybe, in a series that were suspended or that floated, and they had roots and things hanging from the bottom of them. Very cool.

Those busts are great, aren't they? Those prints, unfortunately, when I framed them, the artist's name was blocked. I'll have to take on our and see what he's been up too.

There is a band called the Invincible Czars that play live music over Nosferatu. I've seen them a couple of times during Halloween time at the Picture House in Pelham. You should check it out if they do it again this year.

totally NOT a waste of time. i tune in often, whenever I can. I dont have a lot of horror themed figures, nothing as cool as what you have. i have a 16 inch Tall Man from Phantasm complete w/ chrome sphere. I also have a pretty big figure of Darkness from Legend, thats really cool. lastly i have an 18 inch Darth Maul with double bladed lightsaber. anyway, stay safe and well and have a good one. 🙂

My favorite mask is Hellion! Oh Troy you have an actual museum there. All of your items ameaning, historica and have a lot of depth. When are you going to play in a mask again? You said they are uncomfortable to wear. i was a Chiller Diller fan and I still like horror movies. Do you like them? What about Lynn?
Hello Marvine. Hellion is an interesting choice. He has a menacing smile, doesn't he? I haven't given thought to wearing a mask again, but you never know. I rarely get to watch any television or movies. I'm usually either working or playing.
