Yeah, it's funny the things you remember. Most of the time, I can't remember someone's name five minutes after being introduced. If I ever do a tour of our basement it will, most likely, be the last video I ever post because Lynn will kill me.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, we were very fortunate to be able to put some interesting details into the house when we had it built. And we lucked out by building it just before the boom in 2004. For instance, the space where the masks are were supposed to be closets as was the space out in the hall. We have another area downstairs where a fireplace and chimney (which we did not want) was supposed to be that we turned into a floor to ceiling display area. We've been in the house for 16 years and treat it gently. Not having children helps greatly in that endeavor... haha. Thanks again.
This was superb....i really loved the Lon Chaney Sr Phantom of the Opera mask.....that image freaked me out as a kid as did Max Schreck's Nosferatu.Thanks for taking my mind off the chaos in the world just now Troy and i hope you and and your family stay safe and well!

Thanks Julie. I can't believe how great it's coming along! Can I ask, did you sketch each mask or did the program convert them into sketches? Yeah, like with the blackbird, I'm not a real fan of taxidermy but I couldn't resist. Fun fact - Have you ever seen a spider molt (that's the term I should have used in the video, not "shedded")? Anyway, they leave a perfect husk behind. You can take it out of the enclosure, put in into the position you want, and it will stiffen up a bit. Then you can do what you want with it. That's what made me think that the one in the glass case might just be a husk. I still had a tarantula when Lynn and I first moved in together and when she would molt I'd save the husk and bring it to the grocery store with me and put it behind boxes or cans on the shelves.😂
@@TJH3113 Hi Troy! No program conversion at all. I'm putting every line in there myself. The time saver though is that I can trace over the photos you gave me. I tried to record that part but it's hard holding the camera in one hand up above the screen while doing that part / zooming in and out / using different size brushes, etc. Maybe I'll have Tony or my daughter record that. I'm almost done! (And EW GROSS about the spider husk!)
Great videos Troy! I enjoyed them very much, Lots of fun stuff. You're getting to be a pro and the talking videos now too. I would love to see you do a short intro on your bass vids telling us why you picked a song and what you find interesting about it.

We use to go to the Fangoria horror conventions in la every year, but it's been so long, I think the last one we went to, Quinton Terrentino (I'm sure I butchered the spelling) was announcing "from dusk till dawn". We have the same tastes indeed, but was surprised none duplicating yours, I fact the only piece I have that you do is the silly glasses, but none of the same horror art/mask/memorabilia. As well as unfortunately we live like a crazy person gave a couple of 10 year olds a house. I'm afraid the older I get has no effect on "growing up". We have so little "on display" it's just scattered all over the house. Sorry about just blabbering on, I'm sure I seem like a weirdo, just going on like you asked. But thank you all the same. Thank you Marvine. I have a few friends who are into figures and, from what I hear, it can become an addiction. The quality of the mask you sent to me was just fine, I think the fact that it was a big cat was what they didn't like about it... haha. My phone died and shut off halfway through so I continued the video in a second clip that I posted shortly after this one. Not a whole lot of family background to talk about. For the most part, it was just my Mother, my two sisters, and myself.

The hearse also reminded me of the 70's cult film, 'Harold and Maude'. Brilliant black comedy with Ruth Gordon and Bud Cort. If you haven't seen it you should watch it. What about a guided tour of that bass collection? :) Stay strong.

Also the first little dude you showed the demon in the cage I believe is from a Full Moon entertainment movie I wanna say Sub Species or one of the Puppet Master movies but I could be wrong. It's one of my favorites. The only thing I can tell you was the artist was a woman from Los Angeles and this was one of the first prints done on canvas that we'd ever seen, so we bought a couple of pieces from her. They all came framed and I just checked under each to see if her name was on them, but it was not.

This really brought back memories when I was in 6th grade at BC hainy elementary I had to go to Atlanta costume to by a sombrero for cinco dmio and they have a lot of impressive mask 1 stood out was 1 that had plastic cover over the head you can see the brains ..cool huh??
Well with everyone staying home, this is actually a nice pastime until everything goes back to normal. And yes, to all the younger folks things will go back to normal. This is not the first nor worst epidemic humanity has had to live through.
Not at all. I appreciate your observation but we are far from what might reconsidered wealthy, though "wealth" is subjective, isn't it? I know a few people who I consider to be wealthy and, I can tell you, wealth does not automatically grant the possessor - happiness, grace, class, or contentment. I drive a truck for a living and Lynn has worked for Avis for over 35 years... so we are very middle class. I was brought up poor, being raised by my Mother along with my two sisters and we made due without quite a few things that I now take for granted. Lynn and I are more fortunate than wealthy. We live very well within our means, have managed to stay out of debt (our mortgage is our only outstanding debt), and we spend our disposable income on the things that make us happy. We built our house just before the building boom in 2004 and we do our absolute best to take good care of it, as we do all of our possessions. The biggest factor in our financial quality of life would probably be the fact that we have no children which was a decision we made very early on. Children are very expensive. There were things we wanted to do that would not have been possible with children. My car is very sensible and 13 years old now and I plan on driving it for as long as it serves my needs. I bring my lunch to work everyday and my big treat for the day is to splurge on a coffee on the ride in.

This really brought back memories when I was in 6th grade at BC hainy elementary I had to go to Atlanta costume to by a sombrero for cinco dmio and they have a lot of impressive mask 1 stood out was 1 that had plastic cover over the head you can see the brains ..cool huh??

Well with everyone staying home, this is actually a nice pastime until everything goes back to normal. And yes, to all the younger folks things will go back to normal. This is not the first nor worst epidemic humanity has had to live through.

Not at all. I appreciate your observation but we are far from what might reconsidered wealthy, though "wealth" is subjective, isn't it? I know a few people who I consider to be wealthy and, I can tell you, wealth does not automatically grant the possessor - happiness, grace, class, or contentment. I drive a truck for a living and Lynn has worked for Avis for over 35 years... so we are very middle class. I was brought up poor, being raised by my Mother along with my two sisters and we made due without quite a few things that I now take for granted. Lynn and I are more fortunate than wealthy. We live very well within our means, have managed to stay out of debt (our mortgage is our only outstanding debt), and we spend our disposable income on the things that make us happy. We built our house just before the building boom in 2004 and we do our absolute best to take good care of it, as we do all of our possessions. The biggest factor in our financial quality of life would probably be the fact that we have no children which was a decision we made very early on. Children are very expensive. There were things we wanted to do that would not have been possible with children. My car is very sensible and 13 years old now and I plan on driving it for as long as it serves my needs. I bring my lunch to work everyday and my big treat for the day is to splurge on a coffee on the ride in.
