EDIT: Made a mistake on the wired version being 89 grams and the wireless being 106g as listed from Logitech. Been seeing in the comments lots of weight discussion for the G502. Sorry I got confused on what was posted also. Mouse still feels great, the glide is a testament to its PTFE mice feet. I got the posted specs below!
    Connectivity: USB-C Charging
    Weight: 106 grams
    Mouse feet: Low-friction PTFE feet
    Height: 131.4 mm
    Width: 41.1 mm
    Depth: 79.2 mm
    LIGHTSPEED wireless technology
Up to 5 onboard memory profiles
    13 programmable controls
    8-zone RGB lighting
Battery life: Constant motion 120 hrs (37 hrs RGB on)
    Sensor: HERO 25K
    Resolution: 100 - 25,600 dpi
    Max. acceleration: >40G2
Max. speed: >400 IPS 3Tested on Logitech G240 Gaming Mouse Pad
G502 is such an icon mouse, that just had to cover it. I am still trying it all day today. Figured give all the thoughts & impressions of the mouse and even compare it to the old G502 that I ran down back in the day and also compare it to my G303 which is my main driver atm. Tried to change the format where it felt more authentic and really gave more details to help give you informed thoughts on the mouse!

Honestly, I feel like I do better in first-person shooters with a heavier mouse. When using a lighter mouse, my hand comes off the mouse pad more often than with a heavier one, so I feel like most of the time, a heavier one is more accurate.

Upgrading from those garbage switches is an ez dub.
I'm constantly surprised by the amount of people that disable the dpi shift buttons. Biggest selling point of the mouse. Not the dpi shift functionality, but button location. Map them to keys. I use the forward dpi button for picking stuff up in games and back dpi button for melee or gernade depending on the game.

I know a ton of people who use the G502 for work too. The comfort and layout of the buttons as well as the customization of the button layout make it a very special mouse. People like to shit on it because it's heavy like their mum.

I have 3 g502 lightning, one at home, construction site and office/rental flat. I have ESC and ENTER on the triggers and it's making me really fast. For AutoCAD I have a special profile where there is L and M on the trigger buttons to draw a line and move an object. It's the best mouse. Oh and I stuck microUSB - USB-c dongle to each of them for good so now I have "usb-c version" of g502 lightning

Ever since I converted to a glass mousepad I've begun to strongly appreciate enormous PTFE feet and in all honesty this is my primary concern with this mouse. I plan to buy Superlight skates for the sole purpose of pasting the circular skate onto the dongle cover of the G502 X. Only if your mouse is starting to fall apart. Logitech has a habit of lowering the prices of their peripherals after a year on the market so if you can hold out until then, you could upgrade for a discount. We also don’t know if double clicking has been addressed with these new hybrid switches so it’s best to wait if there’s no issues with your current 502.

    EXTENDED BATTERY LIFE
With efficient LIGHTSPEED, HERO, and LIGHTSYNC RGB battery lasts for up to 120 hrs, 37 with RGB on.* but the reviewer claims it is a flat 140 hours battery life wihtout any conditions imposed but did not even test this is correct. Just spews out facts without any testing. It's wrong as well as it is only advertised as up to 120 hours. Poor review.

Most people aren't actually good enough for mouse weight to effect their game in a meaningful way. It's largely just marketing hype and chasing after skilled streamers set up.

In your description for this video on YT you even copy and pasted "Constant motion 120 hours 37 hours RGB on " yet you then go to claim a flat 140 hours battery life at 08:31 Bad mistake and factually incorrect information being imparted by this reviewer. Failed to provide us with any real world testing on battery life. Even though he admits " I am still trying it all day today" so uses it for a whole day but nothing about if the battery life advertised is what he is getting. Disappointing review. That's an important feature for a WIRELESS gaming mouse.

Soo, no review thus far had mentioned shit about the fucking on-board memory capabilities.. Probably another fucking mouse that will force you to run the fucking G-Hub software in the background should you want to be able to fucking use its features..

    • @Dazs
      @Dazs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

I don’t think I have ever used their onboard memory. I am pretty sure you need the software to do certain things. Going to be blunt, I close the software and never let it run in the background.

@@Costinmusca I am telling you I have no clue because I never use their software to that degree. Most I do is save DPI. (Which I mentioned all I did in the software) Never found any mouse software reliable. I know all these mice come with fancy software but a real gaming mouse is mostly on shape, glide, and other buttons that help you in game.
You shouldn’t be switching DPI on the fly in game and you shouldn’t care about the color of your mouse while you game.
Even different profiles is odd if someone is taking their gaming seriously.
Again bluntly, for a gaming mouse, I find the features odd. I don’t do tons of mouse reviews, I am a gaming channel, if I see something that sparks my interest then I cover it. To give those on my channel the perspective on how I view mice and the qualities that are important.

@@Dazs So this was a thoughts and opinions video, not an objective review of the item at hand. It's not about the supported capabilities and potential use cases, it's only about what your views on it are, based on your.. sample of one case scenario. Got it.

@@Costinmusca I reviewed it as a gaming mouse and my experience in game (hence the gaming portion), glide, specs that matter most to FPS genre, and who would like it.
