For sure looking for a song with my name in it I chose SweetCaroline. Never hand a song you wrote to Elvis. Every song someone sang that became popular and it got in Elvis’ hands was gone for good. Just saying.

"MY WAY" is Elvis's life....no one does the song better! It is so easy to forget that,even though Elvis was and is a superstar, he was also a man. A man who had disappointments, feelings, struggles, and insecurities. He always tried his best to give his all to his fans....which he did. It's just so sad it cost him so much. Rest in peace Elvis, Yes, you did it your way, and it was wonderful!

I live in Memphis Tennessee where Elvis had his main home. We would see him around town a lot when he was home. He liked to go to the Cadillac car dealer a look at cars. He was known to buy unsuspecting shoppers new cars more than once. He really was a wonderful, God loving man. He is missed even now.

Frank's version is great, but Elvis' version is amazing, beautiful, emotional, powerful, passionate, sentimentally mixed with certain regrets!
When he sings..."regrets, i had a few"....and then the strings start to play. Goosebumps!!!
Even his bodylanguage is different. The man who can't stand still, hardly moves while singing this song and that's what makes it so very special and impressive to me!

Frank was a crooner, and he sang it beautifully, but the power in Elvis’s voice is unmatched. There has never been another then and now that could match that beautiful baritone voice. Please listen to If I Can Dream. Maybe his best song ever. Try to learn the back story of it, and why it was so important to him.

Elvis's version, hands down. Frank's was great but the emotion that Elvis brings out , goes straight to the heart and soul. No one has or will ever, compare.
My daughter Sarah died unexpectedly at 36 years old. She as I loved Elvis. I had this played at her funeral. This Seemed appropriate being who sang it and what the words say...described my Sarah. RIP
To me the two versions are very different- Frank’s is great, velvet voice and all …but Elvis puts his ALL into it, and his range is amazing. My vote goes to Elvis.

I only knew Elvis’ version for most of my life. My mom was a huge fan so that’s probably a good reason why, lol. I heard Frank’s and I was like, “Eh..” 😆..I relate the phrase, “My way” to Elvis so much that every time I look at my bottle of Armani My Way perfume I hear him singing the lyrics 😂 🤷🏻♀️.
I also highly recommend checking out his version of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” if you have not already. Absolutely stunning.

Sinatra’s version is timeless. Everything he did was fantastic.
BUT, Elvis’s version rips your heart out of your chest and brings the toughest to tears.
I’m so thankful we have each version to pull from depending on what we need in the moment.

I feel like if Elvis was here today, he would be like me and most of the older generation...no question about it...he would probably be singing the way that he always did. This stuff today is not music, it is garbage and I refuse to listen to it. I love the older music 🎶. Elvis is still the King as far as I'm concerned.

My 36 y/o daughter died in 2012 unexpectedly. She loved Elvis. I chose this version and it was played at her funeral. May sound strange. But, she loved his voice/music and it sounded so much like her. Of course I think of my SARAH every time I here this. She's been gone 10 yrs this month on the 25th. GOD BLESS YOU SARAH! Elvis was a vocal purist. He was anti-tech and honestly, all you should need to make great music, to him, were instruments and singers. The guy made the most important album of the 20th Century with a three piece band and slapping his guitar to create rhythm. That's what I love about older music. You can hear the realness of the instruments and the artist's breath which means they're really singing. On the other hand, Elvis had such a good ear and even still, I think, ahead of the times that his influence on shaping music would be even greater.

Let all the wonderful singers, sing the song: Frank, Elvis, etc. But the beautiful rich tones of Elvis' voice aren't matched by anyone else. The lyrics do fit Elvis perfectly, and before he performed it I heard him say it's 'one of my favorites.' He did take the blows, as he was starting his career being subjected to vicious criticism & ridicule, and being drafted into the Army just when he was making it as a star. And without question, he performed HIS way and changed the world.
1 and a half billion people watched this concert from Hawaii. They raised 75,000. For charity.
