Gets me Everytime!! Elvis died when Lisa Marie was only 9. They never got to experience singing together. Love how this was put together. I know they are all together again. 😢😇💔 RIP Presley family. Gone ...but NEVER forgotten
I was born in Tupelo, MS, the same town that Elvis was born. My mother, believe it or not, went to school with him. He was raised in a, what we called, a shotgun house. This house was located across the road from where I went to church. If you ever get the chance, if you have never been, go to Memphis and walk through Graceland. You can feel the spirit on Elvis everywhere you walk. A great vocal duet. Lisa Marie was so much like her daddy.
Beautiful sentimental song....made even more emotive by the magic of Elvis' voice and Lisa singing along with her beloved"Daddy". Powerful stuff. May they both Rest in Love❤️⚡💯
Lisa broke down crying several times while recording this a another song she sang along with him singing. She said she felt his spirit with her and thats what got her through it. Watching and listening breaks your heart, because you begin to imagine how proud he would've been of her and them actually singing together. Her voice blends with his perfectly! I imagine them in Heaven singing the Gospel he loved so much, with his mom and dad like he did in his childhood.Only now he has Lisa,JD and Charlie harmonizing.❤❤❤
When Lisa Marie did mixes like this, it was always either his birthday or the anniversary of his passing, she'd donate the proceeds to charity. Elvis and Lisa Marie singing In The Ghetto is Amazingly beautiful!
When Lisa came out singing everyone was so happy and wanted her to carry on his legacy, she felt so much pressure that she stopped singing and said she just couldn't do it.
This was done in 1997 in memoriam of the 20th anniversary of Elvis' passing & premiered during ELVIS WEEK 1997 in front of Live audience presented by Priscilla. They play this video at Lisa's museum exhibit at Graceland.. And 27 years later, it STILL tears me up.
This hit hard watching this again today because I have not seen this since Lisa Marie passed but just said now she’s with her daddy. Loved your reaction and yes she had a great voice and looked just like her daddy.
This was mine and my dad’s song. It was even more special when Lisa did this duet with her dad. My Dad passed away in 2018 and I miss him everyday. This song gets me in my feelings every time.
I’m sitting here in tears knowing they sound so beautiful together, and it seems criminal they never actually sang together, and now they are both gone.
I have watched this over n over.. Each time it gets me in the throat..He was so young when he passed and Lisa was only nine but they were so connected...Her love for her dad was amazing.. It's very sad they didn't have many more years on earth together..It would have definitely made a world of difference for them...
My parents divorced when i was 3, i remember crying myself to sleep with this song thinking about how bad my dad was hurting. Its funny how music can touch us in the ways it do. Great review, much love brother.
Elvis has FIVE songs on my list of the 13 saddest and most beautiful songs of all time. Besides this one, there is "My Boy", "Separate Ways", "You Gave Me a Mountain" and "What Now My Love"
You did this about a month ago but I am an Elvis lover. I have all his movies, numerous books about him and his life. My prize is my piano music and getting to sit down every night and play Elvis music for about an hour or longer if I want! Its so relaxing! ❤
I had heard the original version with only Elvis growing up and it hit hard. Then I came across this one shortly after it was posted, it hit harder. I’m so glad Lisa Marie did this. It’s beautiful
She was singing with her dads hologram thats why i cried they never got to sing together in real life ! He would have been so proud of his little girl ❤❤❤
My husbands daughter took his beautiful happy daddy girls. She left with another man moved off 3 states away. And to this day he cannot stay in an empty house. He’s says there is nothing more sad thing than a quit house. Now we’re married, and it is so exciting to see 30+ year old daughters run across a parking lot screaming Daddy. And him picking them up swing them around like dolls. He talks to them every day. It’s precious
Hey Sebs, Just watched your beautiful reaction to this song. Thank you so much! I don’t know how anyone could possibly get through this video with dry eyes, I know I can’t! I really enjoyed your commentary during and after the video. You’re a great Dad and it’s obvious from what you hold most dear in your life. I’m a Girl and a Boy Dad myself, and the idea of them feeling like they need to comfort me (and now I’m crying) is just something that they should never have to do. But their instinct to do so means we must have done something right in their upbringing. Didn’t mean to write a novel here, just wanted to say Thank You! And special thanks for calling me out by name for my request and reading my note. That’s a first for me! Please take good care, and although I wish you continued success with the Channel, what I really wish and pray for you is continued love, happiness, and health for that special family you and Aly have created and are a part of. Cheers! Phil
Lisa Marie wanted to do something special for all the Elvis fans on the 20th anniversary of his death, 8-16-97. This video was first shown at Memphis's FedEx Forum, to everyone's surprise and delight. After that day, it was released for all the world to see.
My sweetest friend the brother i never had we were friends for several years. We both needed a friend and we were that for each other he asked nothing of me and i asked nothing of him just a friendship that i never expected in a million years. Awesome reaction love and prayers from the one and the only Memphis Tn.
This is after Elvis passed when Lisa Marie was 8. This was in Memphis where they celebrate Elvis on the anniversary of his death. They also celebrate his birthday
It gets me everytime. They sing from experiences and that is how songs were written. They were meaningful words . We could not say out loud but what was in our hearts.
Written by Mac Davis....who became a tsar himself. This is not the original Elvis only performance, but very special, breaks your heart worse now because they are BOTH deceased.
I think this is a great rendition with her daddy but the original by Elvis is the best!! Separate ways by Elvis is another great along these lines of loving and losing... But there's countless wonderful songs by Elvis that the list is too long to write!
Check out "In the Ghetto" and "Trying to Get to You" from his 1968 Comeback Special. ELVIS COULD SING ANYTHING. He was one of the most loved and talented entertainers in history and will never be forgotten.❤
Too hard to watch, now that she’s also gone at a young age suddenly. She was her dads defender in life. Now several generations are gone. Lisa Marie lost hr son in 2020 and she was devastated. Her daughter has taken over for her keeping Elvis’s legacy alive and running Graceland. God bless that family. Wealth, fame and such tragedy. Elvis’s mom died early and he was so close to her. Then he dies at such a young age and his daughter was only 9 and she saw him dead in the bathroom until they got her out. She’s lived with that. Then her 27 yr old son committed suicide with a shotgun in his mouth. She barely got over that. What got her out of isolation was the 2022 ELVIS blockbuster and she had to go to premieres etc. She became really close to Austin Butler ( the guy who played Elvis). He was young and I think was like a son to her. She was like a mom to him because his mom died when he was 23 & devastated. He wins the Golden Globe award for best actor. They were all together. He was photographed with his arm around her and she looked so at peace. Two days later there was breaking news that she was rushed to the Hospital in cardiac arrest and died at the Hospital from complications she had from a previous surgery and she had adhesions. Austin was so devastated and saddened that by the time he was able to make a statement, you could see it on his face and in his eyes. That 5 generations that died in that family since I’ve been alive. Now her 3 daughters are left. I pray that generation lives long lives because they went through such an upheaval since the twins lived with her. The older girl was married and had a baby shortly after her moms death. So when anyone says how lucky these people are, they’ve suffered great heartaches and tragedies in their lives. 😢😢❤❤💔💔
In September 2023 I broke my femur. And have been none weight baring until now Aug 2024. So I have enjoyed watching you relate to the stories of country music. I watch other reactions post. But you Alllie and the girls are my grounding calming go to. Thank you for helping me through many hard times
When this first came out I wept for her and all she had missed out on having lost him at such a young age. I've not seen this since Lisa Marie passed away. It breaks my heart in a different way. R. I.P. to them both.

Lisa Marie had an incredible voice. Just couldn't get out of her dad's shadow.
Her songwriting was amazing too!

Your reaction made me tear up. I bet you are a wonderful dad. Kids have a way of bringing out the best of life.
Kids have a way of bringing out the best of life? Never heard anything so dumb.
Lisa-Marie blends well with her dad. Another good one is Where no one stands alone.
He already reacted to that one! It was great too! Go find it! 😊
That's my favorite
Wow I can't even handle hearing this. Heartbreaking.
My parents divorced when i was 3, i remember crying myself to sleep with this song thinking about how bad my dad was hurting. Its funny how music can touch us in the ways it do. Great review, much love brother.
ELVIS' Dad could really sing as well. There are a few uncovered recordings of him singing that are just fabulous.
This song makes me tear up every time
Beautiful song
Brings tears to my eyes.
Elvis has FIVE songs on my list of the 13 saddest and most beautiful songs of all time. Besides this one, there is "My Boy", "Separate Ways", "You Gave Me a Mountain" and "What Now My Love"
Good choice. They are all great songs where Elvis emotions really come and shine through every time he sang each of them♥
Are you Lonesome Tonight? Another tear jerker

Oh oh wow ❤❤ WOW
The audio version of elvis just singing this is awesome
I think she was only maybe 1 or 2 when he originally recorded this. I love how technology was able to have them appear to be singing together. ❤
This song just tugs so hard
Great reaction. Good man
Check out "In the Ghetto" and "Trying to Get to You" from his 1968 Comeback Special. ELVIS COULD SING ANYTHING. He was one of the most loved and talented entertainers in history and will never be forgotten.❤
In the Ghetto and Unchained Melody which is from his 73 concert make me cry every time, and I'm a bitter old 64 yr old guy. O.K. not bitter😂

I think the new Mommy lyric is from the original song and relates to Elvis losing his mother when he was still just in his 20's.
i know every elvis song ❤ he was one of a kind
Lord, this gets me.
I just watched your video on The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald, really liked it, saw you react to this with real emotion, and just subscribed.
