- Welcome back to Average Mike where we tackle another Durango task. No need to purchase an upgrade CD for your UConnect system in your Dodge Chrysler Jeep vehicle. There is a way to make your own software upgrade CD and we are going to show you how to do it.

Same here with PND did not update. Acts like it's in a loop goes back to updating HDD and Radio modules and gets to NAV and did not update again. Pay attention to the version level and it says update from version 50 to 50 and just click NO. That stopped the loop and seems to be okay. The PND has to do with outdated maps I believe. Not sure but it all seems to work. 2012 Rubicon
I still have my 2006 Dodge Nitro which has the MyGig system. It hasn’t been operable for years(other than radio). Will doing this allow me to convert/update to Uconnect? Would really be nice to be able to pair my phone with the vehicle again. Thanks!

Engineering Menu to force Map Update for 430N RHB
1) Power on to car (Accessory Mode, or Engine Running)
a. Make sure no USB is connected or disc in the disc drive.
2) Power off radio (Should only see the Time/or black screen if you have the clock disabled)
3) Press and hold 3 Buttons Simultaneously for 5-10 seconds.
a. Radio (Button) + Media (Button) + Menu (Button
4) Menu should open
a. PND
b. System
i. At this step insert USB with update files, or disc with update files.
1. If your using USB make sure it’s the one on the radio and not in the arm rest.
c. Emergency Update
Mike, did you ever get the camera fixed? I came for the update process but we have, or hopefully, had, the same rear camera issue
hey mike, thanks for taking the time to post this video. However, i followed these steps and it appears the websites have changed. Do you have any advice since your steps are no longer available? I'm trying to do this to my 2010 dodge ram

I can’t get Sirius radio subscription to activate. I spoke to Sirius and they sent multiple refresh signals. But it didn’t work. All I get is channel 0 (ID) and 184 (promotions). Thoughts?

Yesterday the NAV screen started to flash in and out and the maps wont load now. . But its only for the NAV, the radio screen works just fine.
Does this update the road maps on Nav?
I’ve been trying to do the update on my 2014 GC and it never recognizes the flash drive that I plug in, any ideas?

It appears that the website has changed and no longer has links for downloading the software. Bummer.

I do not think so... I am pretty sure I looked into that because it is the easiest way but I don’t think you can. There is no way to tell the radio to use the USB for the update

Yours gave 4 different firmwares to pick from
mine Gives the option for RHR

After purchasing the Uconnect System software with the activation code, Can you use the software update on more than one car?
I did not purchase, it was available for free.
All the site has is repairs , don't see any nav upgrades ?
They just changed it from the easy disk install to 2 SD cards and I've been having a time trying to get it uploaded. Keeps saying that my navigation system is out of date. Looking on YT for a video of how to do. Have a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country.

For the problems I’m having , no Audio on Bluetooth, everyone’s telling me to update. But when I type in my vin it says there’s no update available on the website
I'm having the same exact issue, any update here?
Would this fix an issue where my phone connects and can take calls through uconnect but it won’t let me stream my music. Had to buy an aux to lighting cable to hear my stuff at all.

How long did you wait for the screen to go from "DATA" to Yes or No? I waited like 20 minutes and it still didn't do anything...
It was a long time ago. I do not remember. I don’t think it took that long though

How did you save the files on the disk, please help me please, please help me
dWin bernal if you watch the video I go over how to burn it onto a disc on a Mac computer. If you are on a windows machine you may be able to run through the same procedure by right clicking the file and burning to a CD or you may have to find an ISO burning program to do it for you. Of course, you would need a DVDRW drive to do this.

No it will only load from a CD/DVD

No I tried to go that route as well but you need to make a DVD

Did your vehicle have GPS navegation before the update?
I don’t think so because he doesn’t have the navigation button on the right side
How long the whole thing takes? 30mins?
Just upgrading it has been a while but 30 mins sounds about right

Yes, unfortunately, this nice solution has been cut away from the consumer. What a crock. Now you are forced to send in your entire radio, and hope to goodness the systems controlled by the radio's infosystem remain effective or not start acting up.
Do not do this. Crashed my system now I have to get whole new radio for $1200
Which model and version was before the upgrade? And which you installed?
