Thanks. I just bought my new polishing machine and I've been very embarrassed today when I tried to wax my car. But I'm learning with experience end good videos like this ❤️
actually you CAN combine a compound with a polishing pad,a polish with a compound pad,a finishin pad with a polish etc etc it just depends on the paint hardness and the defects you want to remove!!!
Yo on point no.5 you can put weight on the machine if youre using it for renovating and polishing at the same time cause it needs to rotate slowly. But can only be done with the right pad and compound.
Lol was in stitches when he went right over car from back to front an windows too 🤣,most of this is really just common sense to be honest, thinking about buying one of these polishing machines, i use simoniz diamond polish an wax an do it by hand on my black jeep renegade an looks beautiful so cant wait see if it looks even better using a machine 😁👍
Wtf....i ve been doing ALL these, in a different order of course, and my car and my friends cars ive been working on look AMAZING!! I DO have AMAZING results!!!
On number 4.... oké BUT some compounds do like water. Dont do it... unless the instructuons tell you otherwise. There are some compounds made specifically for using water. But these are specific and not the rule. They are quite fun to use. Since you spray off and dry it off instead of buffing it. It means you will get to work with a lichter grid polish without having to buff it off. Ofcourse the last layer will have to be buffed.
Switching to a DA now but I got a electric sprayer for auto painting so I don't have to hook it up to a air compressor. My DA getting tommorow charges off a battery charger to me that will be better with no wire hooked up to it. I decided to switch to DA because think will like it a lot better and I won't have to just move from side to side with it.
How do you blend paint with a rotary polisher I have paint flakes from my paint job I did on my truck but don't want to paint it again just want to get the paint looking blended in right with my polisher. I have a yellow pad, orange and other colors what pad do I use to do this.
Patrick how did you keep the camera so calm on 8 that’s horrible ha ha! Dale didn’t seem as pained in this one as payback, he should be. I bet it’s him, who would have to remove any inflicted damage anyway. Unlucky.
I’ve just bought the MT320 DA, cant find a video that covers how to correctly use a DA on the contours of the car. All demos seem to be on simple flat panels.........please help
Some do vibrate way less, some even expensive ones vibrate more. You need to do some more research rather than relying only on the brand name. However, overall you can trust that companies like Rupes put in enough research and development that there's run fairly smooth. Griots G9/G8 alsovare particularly smooth running machines. Also keep in mind, that you can, with some basic modifications, fix most vibration issues. Most vibrations happen either due to the cheap lube in the head, or the pad weight to counterweight balance. So you can take apart the head, and relube the gears with some higher quality grease (something I always recommend). You can also adjust the weight of the pad and backing plate combo by either adding washers to the backing plate, changing the backing plate to a different brand/design/size, or trying different pads. Another thing you can do, which is a less done modification, but still totally viable, is see what kind of bearings are used throughout the machine. If they're low quality bearings, you can order higher quality replacements (usually the bearings will have an identifying part number/sizing mumber stamped on them). There are three main types of ball bearings, un-shielded, shielded, and sealed. You can use youtube or google to identify quality brands for bearings, and just buy from them.
There are other bearing designs, like needle bearings. Some companies can even cheap out and use bushings instead, in which case you normally wanna see brass used as the bushing surface...ideally.
When the dealership says " well give it a quick buff while we finish the purchase process"

Hi Meguiar's UK
how about small areas ? can the meguiar dual-action machine mt320 be used in small areas? like a Pillar etc...?
absolutely. You can either change the backing plate to a 3 inch to fit a small pad on or you can do it by hand.
Patch regreating his chose of donor car.

This was so funny
Do those expensive polishers vibrate your arms less than the cheaper ones ?
