Awesome! Congratulations!
Which model and did your dealership try to add all these dealer markups that scare buyers away?
Great work. Thank you for this review.
I am glad you liked it! Thank you for watching!
Hi Matt! I'm am researching the XSE version of this very crossover and I'm giving my Toyota dealership 8 months to get me one from the Alabama factory. My current crossover is a 2022 Hyundai Kona and the lease is up in October, so even if this is hard to get, I'm hoping I can still get the color and trim level I want in time (8 months should be no problem, but you never know). The XSE has the fog lights, the larger infotainment screen, 18" wheels, and a convenience package which is a sunroof and power liftgate. Adaptive headlights (all lights are LED on XSE) are optional, but don't want to splurge for those). Also looking into getting another Kona (2024 Limited AWD) but the Kona gets a whopping 26 mpg while the CC Hybrid gets 42 mpg.
That a big difference in mpgs. About the same hp. Difference is in interior quality and electronics as I replied on the Kona comment. Both great choices though.
dose it has wiped. at the back ?
Yes there is a wiper in the back 4:30
The cheaper version won't have a wiper. The middle and highest doesm
to have had one for two months! , I only have problems! non-stop, it vibrates, the panels are poorly adjusted and my garage is null.
What do you mean by "vibrates"? Does it rattle while parked or driving?
@@MattTheCarguy
on the highway it vibrates. I would tell you not to buy a 2023 model! They have adjustment assembly problems.. Toyota was already a great manufacturer but it has lost a lot of them in the last few years.
Mine doesn't rattle at all
I was seriously considering buying the Cross hybrid until I found out that the gas tank was only 10.6 gallons. With a range of 400 miles, the range is only mediocre. Imagine a 600-mile range at 40MPG, where do I sign up. Really, how much more does it cost to produce a 14-gallon tank instead?
It's a great point and did not even realize it. It is smaller than the non hybrid which is 12.4 gallons. Sometimes it makes no sense.
mediocore range? where are you traveling that doesn't have a gas station within 400 mi? What other vehicle has a range of >400 mi?
@@jicalzad I'm used to getting 350-mile range with a 16-gallon tank in my Crosstrek. If I'm going to pay over $35,000+ (including all taxes and fees) for a similar vehicle that is a hybrid, a 400-mile range just isn't acceptable. I'll just keep my current car which is 10 years old with 161,000 miles on it. Since I just knocked the Cross hybrid off my list, I've heard that Subaru may have a hybrid Crosstrek for sale in about a year. If they keep the 16-gallon tank, that's a slam dunk.
@@miked8121 okay, but a Crosstrek does not get 40+ mpg. It's probably more like 25-30 mpg. I do agree, that you probably wouldn't need to replace your current Crosstrek for a while. It's all relative to what vehicle you're coming from. Still not certain why most would need a 400+ mile range vehicle.
@@jicalzad Yes, but with a standard hybrid, it might. The current Crosstrek hybrid (not my model) is a plugin hybrid, and its mpg wasn't worth the high extra price. It was discontinued this year. Subaru is 20% owned by Toyota and Toyota has been working with Subaru to design a Toyota-like hybrid for the Crosstrek. Crossing fingers.
So, I can't have a spare tire?
As a standard equipment Toyota will provide you with Tire reapir kit only however because a lot of manufacturers are doing it and people want their spare tires there are aftermarket options available online unfortubately at additional cost ( probaly 100-150) but keep in mind that if ypu remove the styrofoam underneath the floor board you will find the orange wiring harness there so you may not be able to fit it there.
yeah, to me, this is it's major drawback. Could be a dealbreaker for some.
Hybrid doesn't have the spare because the electrical wiring for the rear axle electric motor is located in the spare tire well. Dumb engineering in my opinion for Toyota but I have a spare in my Kona and NEVER needed it.
