I went to my local toyota dealer and test drove both the RAV4 hybrid and the Corolla Cross gas version. The hybrid isn't on the lot yet. I liked the feel of the cross and fit very well in it. The RAV felt decent but definitely bigger. I'm getting to retirement age with no kids so if I didn't have to haul a bunch of stuff, I'd stick with the Corolla Cross. Nice review. One negative about the CC hybrid in Canada is that roof rails are ONLY available for the XSE top trim, which really a bummer is these are standard on most other subcompact SUV. One advantage for the CC hybrid is that the high voltage MGR cable connector is now in the trunk and not underneath the car as in the RAV4 H, but the trade off is losing the spare tire. You also forgot to mention the drop in range in the CC hybrid compared to the RAV4, since it's gas tank is only 40L vs 55 L.
Great comparison, thank you! CC for me, I don’t need a bigger car. 5th generation hybrid engines seem very performant. Other reviewers are reporting encouraging numbers (great fuel economy and 0-60 in under 7s!!) Also, the reported corrosion in the Rav4 hybrid cable is problematic with all the road salt used in Canada. If you must get a larger vehicle, I’d wait for the updated RAV4, even if more expensive.
Had Camaro Z-, 28, kids arrived--had several vans, and now retired, was waiting for RAV 4, but Cross Hybrid became available, so like you said Cross Hybrid is the right choice for us. Thanks for another great post....

These will be cross-shopped a lot and some will like the extra space of the RAV4, others will prefer the smaller size of the Corolla Cross Hybrid. Either way, both are great choices that offer good fuel economy. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the comparison.
I drove the CC hybrid and arm rest is so tiny and short. That bothered me more than the lack of a spare tire. Ok for around town, not great for longer trips. I did find an armrest solution on line to extend it, not sure how good the solution it is. I did love the drive and size of the CC hybrid.
Easier to park the Corolla in the city & cheaper to insure. I dare say that plenty of aftermarket compact spare tire kits will become available once the Corolla hits the market!
Nice review and comparison. We ended up getting a 2023 Rav4 Limited Hybrid for our daughter. She loves it. We drove it out to Utah from the Midwest and it is a great travel vehicle. We wanted a lower trim model and possibly a Prime. The one we bought was literally the only one we could get. A customer cancelled an order, and we had to wait 4 weeks for it to arrive. Paying over list, and limited supply is a real problem. That was about a year ago...hopefully things are getting better!
US CC SE hybrid . 63, single, kids on their own, have kids. I ALWAYS hyper mile. 55+ MPG highway, 70+ non highway, which is 2/3+ miles. The nimbleness is fantastic. Never have passengers, so I'm removing the front passenger seat to add even MORE UTILITY, 10+ft long carry inside, my kayak... easy camper. Still have back seats. May get hitch for bikes, additional cargo. Going to get spare kit, available, or save a few bucks and just buy components myself. Spare is standard Aussie and SE Asia markets. Far prefer CC over sister's Rav 4. Have full size Chev extra cab and suburban. They're for sale. CC AWD hybrid is absolute IDEAL vehicle for me, egress is perfect.
I think they priced the Cross too high. I have not had to use my spare tire in a long time. Over 20 years. But, I still want one! I see the logic of the tire repair kit, but I'm just a plan-ahead contingency kind of person. Love my '23 Rav4 hybrid!
Andrea, the reason for the looks of the Toyota Cross Hybrid (5:49) is because they're using the same front clip from the JDM model, which the non-HSD US-spec variant doesn't have.
3:34 Thank you again for your work and your reviews. In this segment with all the talk of quieter than this, etc. Would you please consider using a decibel meter app on your smart phone? this will help us translate what you’re saying a bit better. Thanks again
I sure want to love the Cross for an urban setting. Be nice if there was a bit more price difference. But, the size of the Cross is better for the city. Wonder how it drives on the interstate for long road trips. Retired empty nester here.
I just bought a 2023 Subaru Forester limited, I live in the US honestly I wish I bought the Rave 4 hybrid . I would lose too much money to trade it in now. ThankYou for your videos they are Really informative . Also wish I found your channel sooner…. Happy New Year🥂🎉
I owned a Prius V 2012 for 10 years and 8 months when hybrid battery finally failed. My wife had a hard time getting in and out. I recently received my 2023 RAV4 LE hybrid AWD and I am really liking it so far. My wife can get in and out much easier now. I needed the cargo space and I wanted good fuel economy.
Love all your great reviews! My husband and I love the size and look of the Cross. We have been on a list for quite awhile. We are supposed to get ours in November.
The spare tire repair kit is good for a tread puncture but it would not work for a side wall damage, then you're screwed.. It looks like you could jury rig a spare tire well, which is what I would do.. Great commentary btw
Toyota has a couple of fine vehicles here, but the CC really needs a proper spare tire. There seems to room for it, so what's up with it not being there? Seems like a bizarre oversight. Great review!
Very thoughtful and thorough comparison and review,as always. Well into retirement, I am leaning towards the Cross hybrid. I want a hybrid, I am used to a small car (2004 Civic-- never a problem), and I need to sit higher than the civic groundsweeper. I have not yet test driven either Toyota. I have avoided dealerships for 20 years and DREAD all the new technology as well as their games. The Forester has such great sightlines, the comparison will be tough. Too bad Subaru has no hybrids.
I just stumbled on your youtube site and it is EXCELLENT. Love the comparisons and the presentation. It looks like the CC/H is for me. As for the noise I have no problem taking it to an automotive audio store and having more sound Deadening /dynamap type insulation installed on the firewall and doors. Also a spray insulation for the wheel wells to reduce road noise will work. That's what Lexus does to the high end vehicles to make them quiet. If it adds a little weight, I'll take the MPG hit to make it quieter
We have driven our 2020 Rav4 Hybrid now over 41000 miles. We have never changed the MPG reading (the big center number) since we had zero miles, and we are averaging 39.2 mpg on combined driving. We are empty nesters, but often utilize the entire cargo capacity on travels, so not sure we would be happy with a little smaller vehicle. We are very comfortable with the Rav4 Hybrid, would never consider gas-only, and would be happy keeping it for many years. However, we would consider the 'someday' Rav4 small hybrid pickup/ aka Stout.
Excellent review! I currently own and drive a '22 RAV4 Hybrid, was thinking about switching to a smaller corolla cross hybrid at one point but, will probably keep my RAV4 because I like how spacious it is and better handling
I loved my 2002 Rav4 when it was smaller and based on the corolla. It was a joy to drive. The new Rav4 is too large. The gas version of the corolla cross was not fun to drive. Glad I didn't wait to find out it is another year for a hybrid cross that is missing too many features. The Rav 4 is noisy and a rough ride. After a decade of Prius and lackluster MPG in winter, I went to Subaru Crosstrek. The price, value, mpg made the Subaru a better choice. Toyota is in a nice restructure of their lineup. Unfortunately, there is a gap in this area currently. I'll wait and watch what happens and maybe they'll be back when I'm looking again in maybe 8 years.
I also find the RAV 4 getting too big. And the Corolla Cross is as unrefined as the Matrix that I used to drive until I fell in love with the Subaru Crosstrek 😊😊😊
I chose the Corolla Cross Hybrid XSE, and it will come to me soon in November. It would be unique in Calgary, just want not to be everyone else. I like the front with a smaller radiator grille, and agree no more of its sporty look. We have no child, but two dogs. Hope they fit in well. The other worry is only without the spare tire.
Good luck getting either in Canada, I've had a Rav 4 Hybrid Ltd on order since last June. Cross Hybrids 😂 you might see one next summer, since the Cross are all made in the states Canadian dealers are on the bottom of the ship list.
i went for corolla cross, I have a smaller garage, it fits well, ive test driven my friends rav 4, and compare to my corolla cross, they feel very similar, although i will say the rav 4 has the aggressive front grill, which looks very nice. for those who are thinking about getting the CC, just understand that this is a larger car than you may think, i thought its similar size to a regular corolla just in a suv form, not the case, it is much longer and wider, i was kinda disappointed that is it so big, I enjoy small cars and lower cars. other than that, as a first month owner i love it!
Bought my 21 Rav 4 XSE Hybrid in the summer of 2021. Was lucky as back then the wait was only 2 months. Got it 2 months after i placed the order. Love the car. It has been great so far. Corrola Cross is not for me as i have a child and need the extra room in the back. I also prefer the truck like look of the Rav4. The Rav has been so great , that im bringing it with me overseas to Portugal when i move there this summer.
I can't believe that a heated steering wheel is not offered on any trim level on the CC. Do they think that everyone in the USA lives in the southern states? Seems like a big miss by Toyota!
We're in the position Zack described---older, no kids, lots of suburban traffic---Corolla Cross for us! Now...if I can just get over the look of the "snout" in the front. Hopefully, for 2024, they'll put the hybrid system in the LE and XLE models; they look much better, IMHO.
I still like the look of Corolla Cross and too bad it doesn’t get much features as RAV4 but that’s ok. Like Zack said once the kids move out, this Cross is perfect. 😆. Funny thing is I had check some of Toyota dealers and they don’t have a Cross available.
There are two Corolla Cross sitting in the showroom that my dealership. However not sure what wait time would be but at least can take a look at what it's like. They might even have test vehicle I didn't ask.
Thank you for your video. I’m looking around for a small suv. Also, can you share what suv you are sitting in while making this video? It looks beautiful inside! Thank you
I appreciate the video, it is very Informative. But, the important question here to ask is, what is the wait time on either of the cars. Since, wait times will definitely affect the choice here in Canada. Is there any update on when will the delays go back to pre-covid era. Thanks you in advance for answering my questions👍🏼
It depends on where you live in Canada and the dealership. Some say 6 months and others over a year for a RAV4 hybrid. The Corolla Cross Hybrid inventory will be mostly in Quebec and BC to start.
If you go to one of the largest dealerships in Canada. (Vancouver, Edmonton) the RAV4 hybrid is about a year, 7 to 9 months. Not sure about Corolla Cross yet.
I liked my previous generation RAV4 very much, so I feel drawn to the Corolla Cross hybrid over the new gen RAV4. Ultimately, none of them are available anywhere without serious markup. Very sad. I’m not looking forward to buying a vehicle at the end of the year. 😔
One of my go to reviewers... straight up and funny. Please could you spend some time on the active and passive safety. Will it prevent an accident and if I am in one what are the odds of my family and I walking away? You have to wonder when they give you a pedal operated handbrake instead of a press button, what else are they skimping on?
I test drove a 2021 RAV4 HYBRID. While driving on the highway, I noticed a great deal of wind noise whistling throught the door/window frame. I thought the window was slightly cracked open. It was that loud! Have you experienced this with the RAV4 or other Toyota models?
A lot of people have complained about this on the Reddit Rav4 forums. I think it depends on the individual car because my '23 Rav4 hybrid seems to be pretty quiet. Mine was built in Japan and I wonder if maybe they have better QC there. I would be interested to survey people and see where those with the wind noise complaints were assembled.
@@viaPlanetNu if you are in Canada you won't see a Cross Hybrid till next spring if you order now. I'm on my 11th month for a Rav 4 Hybrid. Plus dealers won't guarantee the current price. They will leave an "open" invoice subject to manufacturer price increases. Same thing in the US , maybe 9 month wait
Is the Corolla Cross hybrid S model a mistake to buy? The inventory is low where we live and it is the only option. We are in desperate need of a car so we are kind of over a barrel. Wondering how bad of a mistake it would be to get the S model?
Nissan have offered the Qashqai / soon-to-be-discontinued Rogue Sport in The States (direct size competitor to the Corolla Cross), but Toyota couldn't offer a RHD version for UK / IE (LHD versions are most likely offered in the EU and those maybe HSD-only).
@@syxepop The Corolla Cross Hybrid is already available in Ireland in 2WD form. The Corolla Cross is also available in other RHD countries like South Africa (very popular there), Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Thailand, etc.
@@DaveDVideoMaker - even weirder that they offer it in IE and not in UK and I felt other RHD countries got it (in Europe as HSD-only) as well. It may sell well in ZA because they build it locally, like in (Alabama) the US. Besides BR, all of the other factories that makes them are in Asia.
@@syxepop Most of the time if cars aren’t offered in the UK, they won’t offer it in Ireland either. But there are a few exceptions to the rule. Another example is the latest generation Toyota Prius Prime. Even though we won’t get it in the UK, it will be offered in EU countries (including Ireland and Cyprus which drive on the same side as the UK), as well as Japan which is also RHD.
@@DaveDVideoMaker - usually JP, AU / NZ and IN doesn't have the same models as UK, even though they share RHD. Another thing is that the UK market maybe large enough to "dictate trends" unlike IE, CY, AU and NZ.
I wonder If the heated steering wheel of the Corolla Cross hybrid is complete for the Canada version. When you say it will be available in june 2023, do you mean available for orders or those who have order it (like me) will have the change to finally get it? Thanks!
@@andreaspencer9813 Thanks Andrea! yes I pre-order it 10 months ago, maybe a little more. I was waiting for the regular gas model and as soon as I knew that there was a hybrid model comming I changed the order. So I really hope I will be driving one this summer!
I went to a dealer and sat in the Rav and felt the seats and specifically the headrest were very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t buy it for that reason because I drive 25k miles a year
I ordered the rav4 hybrid in 2022 june. The dealer is saying that I'm not expected to get a 2023 model, which means either year end or early next year. I just hope they dont mark up the price yet again. They've already increased the price $2600 for my trim + tax for not really any additional features other than the new 8 inch screen vs the 7 inch in the old one. Im not impressed and not happy about the wait times. This is vancouver. There are toyota dealers in Vancouver doing: 1. 7-8k "market adjustment fee" - this dealership is in the east side of the map, close to a river. 2. a name brand automobile group (a big one), not allowing any orders unless if you have a car to trade in, so to earn more money based on second hand vehicle resell. They cap all trade in car value to 31k no matter if you bring in a brand new 50k car. All in all this is just predatory business strategy from shitty dealerships here in Vancouver. If Andrea and zach are to know anybody in Toyota Id be wishing for you to voice out against these ridiculous business practices. People need cars, it's a necesity, and toyota need to get their shit together, not bid up pricing and offer nothing in return. the XLE after tax and everything is now 47k, which is not far at all from the ridiculous Honda CRV hyrbrid touring trim. Not to mention the german brands only starting at the low 50s. It's a horrible time to be looking for a new vehicle at the moment, especially if you deperately need one. My family still has two cars, but they're both over 12 years old and I don't know how far they'll go. One's a civic and one's a mercedes. Looking at other places around the world, there's barely any car shortage (mainly in Asia). Having this issue in Canada for half a decade is ridiculous!
Andrea and Zack....3,2,1, state your fav between Rav4 hybrid, Tuscon Hybrid, Sportage hybrid........i havent test drove a Rav4, but it seems to be my new fav after watching your reviews....
I would say Rav4. More spacious interior and a bit better mileage. When the family goes out, we can use one car instead of two. Saying that, won't have all the bells and whistle as a SE or XSE in the Corolla Cross for similar pricing. If Toyota reduces the front row leg room by 1" to 2" into the second row seats for the Corolla Cross, it would be the winner. I sat in one before and behind my driving position at 5'6", I had under 1 inch of space from the knees to the rear seat; quite a disappointment for me when I saw it.
I am 5'6 and rear space was really good when I test drove gas model last year.. I sit closer to steering wheel but recline the seat further back and that results in alot of space back there. Taller passenger should sit on the right side front or back as you can adjust position better there. Remember, taller ppl sit on right side or middle even.
If I try to save money but have nice seats RAV4 XLE would have better seats than both S and SE Corolla cross trims - which are limited to manual 6 way seats. So if I want nice seats I'm forced to compare RAV4 XLE vs CC XSE (even though it isn't "fair") RAV4 hybrid XLE is Corolla cross hybrid XSE is $32400 and RAV4 hybrid is $34070 Better like to like comparison is XLE premium/XSE with JBL premium sound. And here CC shines - rav4 XLE premium with premium JBL sound starts at $39445 (XSE even more than that), realistically over $40k While CC XSE with premium sound starts at $34450 - pretty much $5000 difference. It does make sense.
For a touch of reality.... you really need to add $5000 plus to the prices in the US ..... and that's if you can find one. There is still a 12 month wait for a RAV4 hybrid. Can't even find a Venza.
The Cross is a more compact and athletic drive. RAV4 feels more substantial. Even if the Cross is smaller inside, the interior styling is more modern. As cheesy as RAV4's interior quality does, Cross feels a bit higher quality on certain areas. Given my appetite for small cars, my pick will go for Corolla Cross until new RAV4 arrives next year. Then we will see how far has Toyota improved its interior quality, as well as , base engine's NVH standard.
Great review as always. my wife likes the Corolla Cross Hybrid because it is a bit smaller. Still get ground clearance with Cross. I like the the the RAV for extra room to haul camping gear. I think a small cargo container should fit on the Cross ?
I tried, I gave up after a year. And 2 price increases. Lexus dirtbags changed a 23 to a 24 ( same car) just so they could jack up the price 2x in 6 months....dirtbags
If you can get either of them. I would want the Corolla and only for the extra mpg, what kills it is that front end. 🤢🤮 Also, to answer your question I would prefer a real tire over the kit. I’ve had blowouts where the entire side was gone and a kit would have done nothing. But, I’ve also put on my spare and it was flatter than the one I was changing so it can be argued either way. Also, I already own a very decent air pump because most gas stations air pumps are either broken or cost money to use at almost $1 per minute. I guess what I’m saying is I don’t need a second air pump or a can of tire fix that I can get from walmart. The better choice is at least the “option” because everything is an option these days on a car so why not the tire. But, could someone try and put a real (or as close to real as they come) tire back there to see if it would clear the battery disconnect?
You mention that there are features the Rav4 has that are unavailable to the Cross, but the same can be said for the opposite. As of 2024, the Rav4 is cannot be had with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 that is standard to the Cross. (The 2024 Rav4 is Toyota Safety Sense 2.5) That means the 2024 Rav4 does not have the Low-Light Pedestrian Detection, Bicyclist detection, True Lane Centering Assist, “Full Stop” Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, reconizes fewer types of Road Signs and has no Intersection Support that the Cross has.
We are recently retired and just returned from a 2100 mile trip. We averaged 39.8MPG with our 22 RAV4. If I am going to put up with less space, I would like to get better MPG. Highway mileage is about the same. RAV4 for me.
No spare tire is a deal breaker for me. Very nice comparison.
I agree. No spare is not an option for me and the roads I drive. The non hybrid would probably be the way I’d go. But I’ve heard they are sluggish power wise. Yep, I actually got a flat test driving the RAV4 hybrid XLE, so it sells itself.

@@rlandau2009 We were fortunate and it had already been ordered. WE placed a deposit on it and it arrived in about as month. We were told the wait time is normally 6 months to a year.
Im with Andrea…..I like the Corolla cross styling. 👍
Enjoying another comparison video Andrea. Always lots to think about but like the information and entertainment too!
These will be cross-shopped a lot and some will like the extra space of the RAV4, others will prefer the smaller size of the Corolla Cross Hybrid. Either way, both are great choices that offer good fuel economy. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the comparison.
I previously thought I wanted the RAV4 then I heard about the Corolla Cross and I wasn’t sure. Now I’m back to the RAV4 definitely!!! Again thanks!
I dare say that plenty of aftermarket compact spare tire kits will become available once the Corolla hits the market!
actually insurance is less on the Rav 4 Hybrid as its in its 5th model year. New versions always cost more to insure.
$100 bucks/ month for me on the CCH. Surprisingly cheap
Thanks guys for sharing!! Really helpful, all the concerns about the difference between those cars are fully explained
I second that as a bit more technical context would help to make a decision👍🏼
I sure want to love the Cross for an urban setting. Be nice if there was a bit more price difference. But, the size of the Cross is better for the city. Wonder how it drives on the interstate for long road trips. Retired empty nester here.
Toyota was too greedy with pricing the Corolla Cross to make it an attractive choice.
Drives well
I just bought a 2023 Subaru Forester limited, I live in the US honestly I wish I bought the Rave 4 hybrid . I would lose too much money to trade it in now. ThankYou for your videos they are
Really informative .
Great review!
weight savings for fuel efficiency
@@NelsonGasparDrives it's more cost savings since the weight difference is negligible
Why wouldn't Toyota offer a spare as an option?
👍Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid👍
Why pay more

You guys are awesome, love this channel!
Wow, thank you so much, we appreciate the support!
You both have great knowledge and presentation.
Very good.
CC for my 17 year old it is. Fun vid! Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
The RAV-4 needs a total restyle inside and especially out for sure...
Excellent review! I currently own and drive a '22 RAV4 Hybrid, was thinking about switching to a smaller corolla cross hybrid at one point but, will probably keep my RAV4 because I like how spacious it is and better handling
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Real spare tires please. Thank you for comparing those 2, it really makes sense to think about it.
Exactly what I am looking for. Thank you!
I like the Corolla Cross, however Rav4 always wins in my book!
excellent comparison, A like for you!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
As current Rav4 gas model would pick Rav4 Hybrid. 😎
Excellent review on these 2 Toyotas. I have been waiting for this
Awesome thank you!
And the Corolla Cross is as unrefined as the Matrix that I used to drive until I fell in love with the Subaru Crosstrek 😊😊😊
one year later, prices in Canada have risen by approx. $ 3,000 on all models and trims of the RAV4 hybrid and Corolla Cross hybrid
What's up with the picture at 7:20? Did you combine two photos?
i went for corolla cross, I have a smaller garage, it fits well, ive test driven my friends rav 4, and compare to my corolla cross, they feel very similar, although i will say the rav 4 has the aggressive front grill, which looks very nice. for those who are thinking about getting the CC, just understand that this is a larger car than you may think, i thought its similar size to a regular corolla just in a suv form, not the case, it is much longer and wider, i was kinda disappointed that is it so big, I enjoy small cars and lower cars. other than that, as a first month owner i love it!
Thank you this a great comparison
I'd have to get the Rav4 because of that spare tire, and the lack of heated steering in the US corolla cross.
Alex on Auto said you can finagle a Spare Tire on without a lot of effort
I can't believe that a heated steering wheel is not offered on any trim level on the CC. Do they think that everyone in the USA lives in the southern states? Seems like a big miss by Toyota!
XSE has heated steering I believe
We're in the position Zack described---older, no kids, lots of suburban traffic---Corolla Cross for us! Now...if I can just get over the look of the "snout" in the front. Hopefully, for 2024, they'll put the hybrid system in the LE and XLE models; they look much better, IMHO.
Subcompact hybrid cross: Choice is between Corolla Cross & Lexus UX250
good luck getting either
Yeah, this is all kind of Fantasy Football!
Definitely the Corolla Cross. More powerful, more fuel efficient, more practical than the Lexus
I still like the look of Corolla Cross and too bad it doesn’t get much features as RAV4 but that’s ok. Like Zack said once the kids move out, this Cross is perfect. 😆. Funny thing is I had check some of Toyota dealers and they don’t have a Cross available.
The Corolla Cross hybrid information isn't listed on the Toyota site just yet. I am sure it is coming.
@@andreaspencer9813 They will available in May I believe.
There are two Corolla Cross sitting in the showroom that my dealership. However not sure what wait time would be but at least can take a look at what it's like. They might even have test vehicle I didn't ask.
Hi and thank you...What model are you sitting in at the moment?
Thank you for your video. I’m looking around for a small suv. Also, can you share what suv you are sitting in while making this video? It looks beautiful inside! Thank you
Always a cute couple, now compare to the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport?
Thanks for putting this together. It hit all the points i was looking for. You both do a great job in your reviews!
@@andreaspencer9813 Thanks for the reply. Would you be making a comparison video for corolla cross hybrid and Prius Hybrid soon?
@Vikramjeet Singh Bajwa it's definitely one to consider, do you think those two will be cross-shopped?
I believe they will very well be cross shopped since they have similar Hybrid technology and close price range.
Is there room to put compact spare in the Corolla Cross under the floor if I got my own from one of the tire dealers?
I think the power connection for the rear motor would have to be moved. Also where to store a jack and lug wrench?
Great logic. I agree. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it! I am sure these will be cross-shopped quite a bit.
You can bet they will!
It's still a hard decision, but ultimately I like a more compact car and fitting all those features in a small package is a plus.
Great Review!!! Thanks
i live in a major city. the bigger a vehicle gets, the worse it is. going up in size is a downgrade
The REV4 is the choice for me....at least at the present prices.
One of my go to reviewers... straight up and funny. Please could you spend some time on the active and passive safety. Will it prevent an accident and if I am in one what are the odds of my family and I walking away? You have to wonder when they give you a pedal operated handbrake instead of a press button, what else are they skimping on?
The HP difference is proportional to the weight. So is 197 vs. 219 a distinction without a difference?
I test drove a 2021 RAV4 HYBRID. While driving on the highway, I noticed a great deal of wind noise
whistling throught the door/window frame.
I don't like how insightful this was cause now I'm stuck again ! 😩 Lol 🤦🏽♀️
it's easy....neither one are available 😂 you will wait a long time
@@mikej238 already prepared to do that . I'm not bothered by the wait time , I just don't like how closely it's priced .
Andrea, is that the jacket from the thriller video?
Is the Corolla Cross hybrid S model a mistake to buy? The inventory is low where we live and it is the only option. We are in desperate need of a car so we are kind of over a barrel. Wondering how bad of a mistake it would be to get the S model?
Because the Corolla Cross is not offered in the UK, I’ll have to get the RAV4.
Nice review! thanks
I wonder If the heated steering wheel of the Corolla Cross hybrid is complete for the Canada version. When you say it will be available in june 2023, do you mean available for orders or those who have order it (like me) will have the change to finally get it? Thanks!
It's supposed to arrive at dealerships by then. People are pre-ordering now.
There are toyota dealers in Vancouver doing:
1. 7-8k "market adjustment fee" - this dealership is in the east side of the map, close to a river.
2. a name brand automobile group (a big one), not allowing any orders unless if you have a car to trade in, so to earn more money based on second hand vehicle resell.
In my town in Michigan it’s a whole year Wait for a RAV4 hybrid.
same with most places in North America, my one year is almost done!
Are the seats in RAV4 up higher than Corolla Cross?
Does the CC have space for a spare on top of the power cable?
Great question, there are some nice aftermarket spares that may fit. Love to find more info regarding spare tire options.
If I try to save money but have nice seats RAV4 XLE would have better seats than both S and SE Corolla cross trims - which are limited to manual 6 way seats.
So if I want nice seats I'm forced to compare RAV4 XLE vs CC XSE (even though it isn't "fair")
RAV4 hybrid XLE is
Corolla cross hybrid XSE is $32400 and RAV4 hybrid is $34070
Better like to like comparison is XLE premium/XSE with JBL premium sound. And here CC shines - rav4 XLE premium with premium JBL sound starts at $39445 (XSE even more than that), realistically over $40k
While CC XSE with premium sound starts at $34450 - pretty much $5000 difference.
Yes, I think you would be able to fit a small container in the cargo area
Not having a spare tire was a way to nickle and dime folks into a Rav4
rav4 hybrid 2024 or Venza 2024? Really love your videos.
Was gonna get the RAV-4 but ended up getting the RX350h Premium.
That's a great vehicle and the perfect trim.
(The 2024 Rav4 is Toyota Safety Sense 2.5)
That means the 2024 Rav4 does not have the Low-Light Pedestrian Detection, Bicyclist detection, True Lane Centering Assist, “Full Stop” Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, reconizes fewer types of Road Signs and has no Intersection Support that the Cross has.
We are recently retired and just returned from a 2100 mile trip. We averaged 39.8MPG with our 22 RAV4. If I am going to put up with less space, I would like to get better MPG. Highway mileage is about the same. RAV4 for me.
Hmm in Quebec the RAV4 le hybrid starts at $37,794 so the step is around 4k between the cross hybrid and the RAV4 hybrid.
The prices you are seeing online for the RAV4 include freight etc but the Corolla prices are just MSRP at this point, waiting for the other info.
Gotta ask yourself if you want to be part of cable gate with the RAV4 or be part of a redesign in the Cross 😅
Cable Gate issue was fixed. Please let it go!
only if you live is Salt Hole QUEE bec and never wash your car properly
