    i have a corolla cross with 2.0 engine. i use extreme driving style to get 5.0L/100km, which is 47MPG. i never go over 100km/h, seldom let the engine go over 2500rpm when accelerating and hyper mill when ever possible. so l smile when i see the gas pump, and its a different kind of fun to squeeze for MPG.

    • @walltiger6603
      @walltiger6603 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JASHVEER22 i am the right person to ask because just before the Corolla Cross, I had the Rav4 Limited with the 2.5 L engine. I prefer the Rav4's interior, more mature and more comfortable. The overall feeling of the Rav4 is more refined and tough, especially with the 8 speed automatic. I get about 38 MPG for the Rav4 on the highway, which is not bad, but can not match the CC for MPG. The CC, the overall feeling is econo car, nothing special, and with the CVT, you have to be gentle with it, no hard and sudden acceleration. (will cause slippage down the road) But you do get incredible MPG. i mean the CC revs only at 1500 RMP at 100kM/h. So here's my take on the two car. Good luck.

    Do you guys have catalytic converter theft issues over there? I honestly couldn't do a hybrid SUV cause it makes it even easier for them due to height and hybrids is what they target. Either combustion or full electric for me, one or the other, no combos. Just my 2c. Nice car indeed for what it is, really nice car, but this one is going to be targeted big time by thieves. Maybe fake badging would help to pretend it's the petrol only version so they don't bother, who knows.

      @@NobbyOnCars Interesting. It's everywhere it seems. I am picking up my new Cupra Ateca tomorrow (the 300 HP/400nm version), Australia here, and I was thinking of getting some sort of catalytic deterrent since there is a lot of news about the thefts lately in OZ. Hopefully that, and whilst alarm is blaring will be enough for them to go to next vehicle. That said I am doing a full tri cam (front/rear/interior) dash cam setup with parking mode so I can at least see who does this sort of shit if it does happen (but mostly for possible accident evidence of course).
      Do you reckon they definitely target hybrid over 100% combustion cars? Ateca is not that high compared to normal SUV but I think they can still get under it easier. yeah I have full insurance already but it's the hassle of it all.
      Love the reviews by the way. You do a good job and it's great for me cause you mostly do right hand drive variants. Cheers!

The alloys were 'refurbished' by said dealer prior to purchase, but within 12 months they had started to corode, badly. I complained and was told, not covered by the extended warranty, the drivers seat also broke and this wasn't covered by the so called 'VW warranty' either and they wanted £500 to repair it. The Drivers SEAT! I declined. I then went to a proper alloy wheel repairer and was told by them that the wheels had been 'butchered' by the previous work done, they had taken off too much material, this was the wheel repairs undertaken by a franchised VW dealer, remember, and that my only option was to have the wheels painted, they recommended gun metal grey and did a fabulous job, unlike the franchised VW dealer. But that's John Clarks VW for you. Piano black plastic is a horrible thing which should be banned as all it does is attract, dirt, finger prints and scratches very quickly indeed. Rant over!

    Hybrid SUV? bit of an oxymoron that. Surely If ur after an economical motor and u dont specifically need raised ride height then an estate,hatchback or saloon will provide more economy due to the more aerodynamic shape and less body weight. Then again Karen might look down at u on the school run in ur peasant hatchback. God forbid u didnt follow the rest of the SUV sheeple.Less space, heavier, worse handling,more.expensive and mpg.I just dont get it??
