  • In this tutorial I cover all of the main amp model controls including gain, bass, middle, treble and volume/master! These are universal controls for every single amp model! Hope this helps!

    Thanks so much ,Really really helpful ,I now have a starting point, thank you for paying your knowledge and help forward..I think this amp will help get me out of the intermediate range guitar player I been struggling with so very long, I have got to get knowledge on the fret board so I can tie in with all the chords I know...

      Practice makes perfect man! The thing I love most about this amp is that it actually makes practice fun! At least to me. Good luck! Let me know how you progress!

    Just getting into my new Spark, and I've noticed that on some of the amps, the Master does have an effect on the saturation, almost like what a cranked power amp does in a tube amp, and its distortion structure is different than the Gain. You can go between the Gain and Master to tweak the distortion a bit- it doesn't work on every amp model this way though.

      This makes sense. I recently did a video on gain, master/volume and output. The master is basically the digital volume of the amp model and effects. So you can hit the “sweet spot” of the amp model volume without cranking the output on the Spark. Very nifty feature!

    Appreciate all of your help. Have you saved any of your “go-to” clean and distorted settings to the cloud?

    • @sparkamptutorials2169

      I have created a few if that’s what you’re asking. “Weezer Buddy Holly” is one of my more popular tones. I did one called “3 doors down kryptonite” (i think that’s the name) that I was pretty proud of. I haven’t made any in a while though. The funny thing about tone cloud is that not only is it completely subjective but it is also completely dependent upon what type of guitar you are plugging in to the Spark... even the room conditions and volume make a difference too. It sounds different through the speaker and two different sets of headphones I use even!

    Most EXCELLENT video.
    One question. Is that ANY way, say in a given effects chain to replace an effect with a different effect? For example instead of the Noise Gate at the front, you wanted the Graphic EQ?
    And for that matter, can you build an effects chain from scratch with whatever effects (pedals) and amp you want in any order?
    TIA.

    Really appreciate all the informative videos! Please keep them coming, as it helps this newbie out tremendously. Question if I may? What type of laptop/tablet are you using with your Spark in these videos? Thanks in advance. Shannon O.

      That is an old iPad with a bluetooth keyboard attachment. My daughter recently broke the keyboard though, so I don’t have that anymore haha... I’m also getting a new iPad soon, so maybe I’ll get another keyboard!

      The keyboard is actually a case as well, so it almost feels like a laptop.

    How do the app amp settings relate to the physical settings on the spark 40? Does the app override the spark 40's settings? So for example with one of your "even" profiles, what settings should be on the spark 40 or does it matter?

    Hi, great job! It would be interesting how to think when cranking sound when playing acoustic, because then it´s most often an equalizer on the guitar as well. How should the guitar and amp knobs be adjusted versus each other?

    • @sparkamptutorials2169
      @sparkamptutorials2169  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good suggestion Robert! I am planning/preparing for some acoustic videos as well, I'll think about how to cover that!

    Thank you for all that you do. If you find a tone that you like in the app or tone cloud, should I manually adjust the amp as well when switching between tones via the app? Or if you select /download a tone from the cloud via the app, does the amp adjust in real time? Meaning if you’re using the app should you only be using the app to adjust your EQ or do you also have to fine-tune it with the physical knobs on the amp itself?
    Just curious to see if you have to adjust both amp and app eq and fine-tune both collectively or if the sound you want is on the app, then that’s the sound.

      @sparkamptutorials2169  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! The short answer is no, yes and no. Haha
      When you download a tone, the settings in that tone override the levels that your knobs set at. The software is always the primary indication of what the settings are. You can still adjust the knobs manually if you like, you can even see the settings change in the app as you do so. I like turning the physical knobs and watching the app knobs move. I know.. I’m a nerd. ;)

      That’s a reasonable thought, but I’ve found that even some of the basics aren’t necessarily obvious to everyone. For a lot of people, this might be their first amp, or foray into audio. Trying to cover as many bases as I can!
