  • In this video I demonstrate how to record yourself on video with the Spark app. This is one of the biggest feature releases to date! I also accidentally found an update to the name of one of the amp models. Hope this helps!

    The amp is really great, no complaints overall...But yes, there is no point in this if it doesn't feed the audio directly to the mobile device from the spark. Put a little more time and thought in it and let you layer additional tracks and provide some rudimentary editing. Then it would be gold!

      So it records using the phone/tablet mic only? I don't wanna buy a condenser mic 😢

      Stunningly weak "feature". I am shocked at how they didn't include direct recording since that would seem to be the only benefit of building access to your camera into the Spark app, at least for me.

    So, its encouraging to see that the dev team is realizing the potential of having an in-app video function, however, it is far from being as great as it could be. I'm really unsure of how it wasnt obvious to devs, that the guitar signal should be run from the amp into the video. Like layer the audio over the video. It kinda baffled me, on my first use, that its recording my guitar thru my gat dang phone speakers? What? I thought it was a little fuck up on my end...i was a bit peeved when i found out that wasnt the case.
    Now, im not a complaining type of dude. Im not sitting here and trying to stir shit. Im just letting you know the viewpoint of a first time user, one that was super stoked about this amp/app duo. I enjoy the GO so much, like...alot. But i just think adding the audio signal from the amp live over the video in the app...like a mini easy daw function, would be a massive...MASSIVE addition. Like, seriously, if i was employed by Positive Grid, I would be in thst office night and fuckin day programming thst into the app. Id be willing to wager that one single change/improvement would shoot your sales and user count way up.
    Also, GIVE US AN ENVELOPE FILTER!!!

      Dude I could not agree more. I was totally pumped about this feature. I went through the painful process of getting some mp3s on my iphone (found a way to do it without signing up for Apple Music, as they make it difficult to use your own mp3s without a subscription now). Kind of bummed after all that it is just recording from my phone mic

    Is there any way to get the Spark to be routed into the video directly as the soundtrack? I can't believe that PG didn't think of that when they developed the video feature. It only seems ot use the mic off of whatever you record video on. I tried iRig but that won't do it either.

      Same here. I went to record and was disappointed to learn it was only audio from the device mic, not the sound channeled through the app/amp.

      That makes it completely useless when using headphones. Very disappointed.

    Does it combine phone microphone and guitar at the same time?

    Thanks for your video, is this feature available with android?

      This isn't a feature really; major fail from Positive Grid. Just use your Android device's camera. The Spark app adds nothing, other than the expectation that you can use it like an interface to capture quality sound direct. Last thing we need is a tiny amp sound captured by a phone mic.

      great question. Does anyone have the answer?

    • @MrAmiddaru
      @MrAmiddaru 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@marcemelgar the answer is no, i tried and if you record with a headphone on, it records the sound from the mic of the tab / smartphone so you don t hear your real sound from app. :( Or i didn t managed to find how to do

      I use headphones and use the USBc to my iPhone but the video always has a crackling sound with the audio. I tried both the in app video recorder and my native camera app.

    Very disappointed. The recorded guitar track is raw; none of the Preset signal changes are included in the video audio layer. Neither is the imported backing track, if used. And given the level of background noise picked up during my three test videos, I think the recorded guitar track is picked up from the iPad mike, not the Spark. Or am I missing something from some hidden recording control panel within this function? 1 Star.
