Before the rains start you might construct a “rain flap” over your tent. Here in Hawaii most tents are pitched under the added protection of some sort of temporary roof, the most simple being a tarp.

@@MelindaFriedman-jj1zd Ah, yes, the rain tarp makes a big difference with rain, of course, and delaying the tent becoming shredded by the blazing sun. Have seen tents deteriorate on other Centro channels.

Great work Joaquim, I'm especially interested in the deck build - possibly going to build a cabin on a deck at ours (100km south of you) and all other experiences are most helpful. Best wishes for all you do, Phil

Love the progress on the stone walls. Intrigued by the idea of the huge tent. Look forward to seeing it set up.

Hello, from Canada! I am impressed with how straight the tops of the stone walls are. Such skilled workers. I would hope each of those men could find a young person who is interested in learning that trade. It would be a shame if it were to be lost. Your place is coming along beautifully and I think your grandparents would be thrilled.

I also wondered the same thing. Maybe the new build will get too hot or dusty?

You could check with Martijn Doolaard. He lived in a tent for two years in the Italian Alps while he rebuilt his first cabin.

    Hi. Joachim.
Does Alabaster ever get a summer haircut, or would that leave his skin vulnerable to sunburns, bug bites, etc?
Tenting sounds interesting. How come you don't want to rent a studio with a mini-split, its own little kitchen, and for the summer and winter? I guess they're not easy to find in your area. I don't blame you for not wanting to leave the land. I've watched other CP youtubers suffer in the heat with minimal infrastructure. Hopefully, you won't.
What a bounty of tomatoes you have, and it's only starting to yield. Will you can your surplus of produce? or trade for items you need?
    The new walls look fantastic.

Is there no possibility to put a temporary roof on a room or two on the existing house with a small stove for the winter?

    Bom dia
    Vale a pena pensar nisso?
