    My 2013 C250 had the same problem and I thought the transmission was about to break thanks to your video I changed the spark plugs and air filter and now it works super and smooth

    Expensive fix, mine was the high pressure fuel pump located in the engine bay.

      My high pressure fuel pump is bad too or going bad, on emergency full throttle it goes straight into limp mode until I turn the car off and back on again. But I rarely need to accelerate that hard so I haven't got to replacing it yet. You replace it yourself?

      @@ZachBuddhahigh be careful...I tried to save some money and bought a clone from amazon. The "ticking" sound was as loud as a Mack truck. Broke down and bought the part from the dealer for around $600, like new now.

    I had the revised banjo bolt and turbo oil line and gaskets replaced! I have experienced better acceleration.

      Ya I replaced the banjo bolt with new updated version and new turbo oil feed line with gasket. Was the biggest oil leak I've had lol. Extremly important these turbos are maintained and getting fresh oil constantly that's why I change my oil at every 3k

    Man I’m only finding this video after I’ve already fixed this issue. TH-cam is really messing with me.💀 But yes to anybody who finds this video, spark plugs / ignition coils going bad in your car can look like a transmission problem and give you a lot of anxiety ( at least it did for me).

    All car owners with direct injected engines face problems down the road which is clogged up valves and intakes due to the PCV system.
    On the W204 with engine M271, the PCV system is the brake booster vacuum pump at the back of the engine blowing into the cylinder head and then those vapors are released through the long black pipe on the left side of the engine into the the turbo inlet pipe. As the MAF sensor sits before that, Mercedes installed a little sensor on the little pipe leading towards the turbo and basically cancels out the vapor gases that flow by it.
    The little black plastic pipes, one connected to the flexible T to the turbo inlet as well the one routed to the outlet of the big plastic PCV pipe are both not used / have no function and simply there to fool the emissions people.
    The only way to prevent clogged up turbos, valves, intake and charge air system is to vent the big plastic pipe coming from the back left of the valve cover to atmosphere ( no worries, it is the brake booster vacuum pump provides engine with fresh air. There will be always positive pressure inside the engine. ), remove flexible grey T and then close the inlet for that T on the inlet pipe to the Turbo.
    I suggest to thoroughly clean turbo impeller, its housing, pipes and intercooler as well as intake manifold, basically everything including the valves themselves using a toothbrush - all this with care, brains and caution using brake cleaner and aviation 100LL, as both leave no stinking or sticky residue.

      Yes this also depends on the owner, i have only cleaned my throttle body plate, intake manifold, and air filter. These motors really dont have any buildup like older motors. my turbo had just about zero carbon on it when i first checked it at 90k, and now at 135k and my turbo still looks brand new, all vac lines are all very clean. and these motors use map sensors instead of maf which so they dont need any special matinance like how a MAF sensor does. They do have a problem with the high pressure fuel pump, which tends to fail at random times. But that is worst case scenario

    Bro, I have a C180, I changed the Spark Plugs and still have a stutter around 15-20 MPH. Will be cleaning the throttle body hopefully this weekend to see it fixes the issues.

      @@dusanmatic6259 Replaced air intakes pipe and replaced the air mass sensor.
      Now its better, just stutters on cold start but when warm no stutters.
      OH yeah.. also did Engine and Gearbox full service.

    Forget K&N. all that oil is disastrous for your engine. Use only paper or dry fabric filters. Weistec is a good option using woven cotton. Definitely better and won’t mess up you mass air flow sensor with oil.

      False. This is a c250, it does not have a Mass Air Flow sensor, only has a Map Sensor, which cannot be harmed by the filter oil. Will not damage your motor either. If this was a non-turbo with a MAF, then I would agree. But its not, Its a turbocharged motor with a MAP.

    The turbo lag just made the car feel unsafe to me. Especially when changing lanes on a busy freeway. I ended up upgrading to an E class

      Zach Jacobs would also love a video on the cleaning. Changed my spark plugs and valve cover gaskets and still have the problem. Another problem has come up with my car going into limp mode. A little research says it could be the high pressure fuel pump. Any experience with that? Apparently it’s a real bitch to replace and is a common issue in C250s. MB needs to do a recall on it. Anyway if you have any thoughts would love to hear them. And good luck with the tech program!

      @@meggiko if you changed your spark plugs make sure they are gapped to the correct specifications... change air filter to high air flow filter if your running stock or just get a replacement. You should really try and clean your throttle body it helped me... as far as the limp mode is it when you take off fast from a stop? and do you hear a whine? that would be the high pressure fuel pump right behind the engine next to oil filter. mine is bad and only goes in limp when i do a really high takeoff from a stop... should fix itself from turning car off and back on but i would advise a new one...make sure your running high octane i personally use 93 always.... give me more details if possible like symptoms, miles, codes, check for any vacuum leaks there seems to be a small vacuum hose that breaks on all c250s...

    Spark plugs are consumables. They should be changed every B Service. Change all plugs at the same time.

    Ty you for this post! Having same issue here. Just did a basic tune. Spark plugs and had a bad coil. My air intake looks good. I did notice this after I installed my Dinan tuner. Gonna attempt to pull the throttle body and clean it myself. What spray or cleaner do you recommend. Seems something I can due before I go deep into my pockets.

      Yep! Throttle body is easy to do, just gonna need a r25 torx bit if I’m correct for the 4 screws, adjust intake out of the way and some connections going to throttle body. You can use throttle body cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.

    p061b-96 I got this error code while I was getting the diagnostic done on my 2013 c250. I got it done from Pep Boys and not Mercedes dealership. I really dk why it's giving that error as the car runs smooth. The description on the error was " The torque calculation of the control unit has a malfunction. There is an internal component fault".

      As far as the spark plugs, if you needed to cruise its fine but upon medium to high accelation like needing to switch lanes quickly or go around a car it would fully jerk the car multiple times. Very noticeable. As far as the throttle and dirty intake yes it was almost as if it skipped or had a very light jerk... Not the the best idle and power loss absolutely

      I'm at 121,000 miles on my 2013. Love the car and haven't experienced any extreme issues. Just keep up with maitnance, mainly oil/filter changes every 3000-5000miles and other prevenitive maitnance and she will last you a long time!

    I just test drove a 2013 mb c250 with 72k miles. The car was ultra clean and looked brand new, handled well, but it felt really sluggish. I was really hoping to like it but I don't know what to think. Are these cars somewhat sluggish?

      The cars TCU probably hasnt been reset, it adaptive, and changes shift points to driver... I actually reset mine every week to two weeks and it makes the car feel new again, it takes only a few minutes to reset it and requires no special tools or taking anything apart. many videos on how to reset the adaptive driving and make the car not feel sluggish anymore!

    P0017.
    On take off: can’t accelerate passed 10 quick without it shaking/ power loss.
    Cruising: Stutter, can’t accelerate fast.
    50+ cruising: Smooth ride, but when coming to a stop, it will start to jump, (RPM will dance). -car does not die.
    Idle: smooth, RPM sits at around 7-800.

      You could have a vacuum leak, but these cars have two common problems one is failure of the High Pressure Fuel Pump, and Camshaft Adjusters. Both can cause problems. High pressure fuel pump will cause most of the problems you listed. Mine has failed and I have not replaced it, so I make sure to change my oil/filter and add a full can of seafoam every 3k. It has really helped with the HPFP failure. Also good to keep your fuel tank above half full, everytime I fill up completely with 93 premium it does not stutter or go into limp mode anymore. Will have more info available soon or do a video regarding these problems in detail

    Hey I have a 2008 Mercedes c350 for some reason I feel like I’m getting lack of power. When I come to a complete stop sign I hear a very small light shaking or rattling noise in my car is eating gas very bad do you know the reason

      I can not say specifically what it is, only because I would need to hear the sound and feeling myself. If you have high mileage it could be anything. Sparks, coils, fuel pump, timing system, fuel injectors, throttle, etc… you gotta diagnose by reading the live data with a scan tool

    Hey..thanks..got couple of questions...first I had to replace high end fuel pump then the head gaskets were leaking I replaced all plugs..got code #3 misfire ..
    Replaced it...still jerking...but today after puttting in a coolant sensor...my coolant fan doesnt want to cut off & check engine light shows P0002 ECU wiring or vacuum leak....car runs like there is a vacuum leak or bad plug

      If you watch the videos I recently just posted it could be a issue with the spark plug gap. I bought a brand new set of spark plugs for my car and the shop I bought them from said they were Pre-Gapped for my Benz.... Turns out I got misfires, limp mode, stuttering, rough idle, code for 02 sensor and such. All because the spark plugs were gapped at .042 and they are suppose to be at .028-.032 max! I gapped them to .028 and engine codes went off after a couple of starts, runs better than ever honestly. Try that out if not could be a few more issues I can go over. Think you should check the gap and see if that fixes your problem. If not, message me and we can figure out the problem

      Might be a leave in turbo oil feeder tube. They will also use newly modified banjo bolt. I now have better acceleration hesitation is gone! I think that a small leak from oil tube to turbo was causing issues ( losing pressure) the oil will help keep turbo cool and bearings operating correctly.

    Hi there.. is this car a gas guzzler? We own a 2012 and we are getting really poor mpg. Wondering if you'd is do to spark plugs.. gear ratio... We also get a jerk from first to second gear when car is cold.. I have seen a drop in 1000rpm before it engages to second. Any thoughts? Thanks.

      If you are guzzling gas, then you have a problem. It could be spark plugs, clean throttle body, clean air intake or get a high flow intake or intake filter. High pressure fuel pump could be possibly bad, it's common on these. Make sure you are changing the oil every 3000-5000. These c250s have turbochargers and I have taken automotive training on turbochargers, they require more care, and more frequent oil changes. Also you do not want to be driving the car when it's on cold start. Allow the motor and turbo charger to warm up for 2-5 mins when you first start the car for the day. This allows time for the car to reach operating temperature and and gives it enough time for the oil to pressurize and lubricate the turbo and engine components. It's jerks if you do not allow it to warm up. You are shortening the life of the motor internals , turbo, etc... When you give no time for the car to warm up. Make sure you are running 0w40 or 5w40 full synthetic oil, 91+ premium gas. Keep up with preventive maintenance spark plugs, oil changes, coolant flushes, air filter, seals and gaskets, throttle body cleaning, fuel treatment. Also check your engine timing if you can, besides the high pressure fuel pump on these going bad, they are also know for the camshaft adjusters to be faulty, which causes poor fuel efficiency, timing chain rattle, incorrect engine timing, loss of power, engine codes. Camshaft adjusters should have a warranty to 120k if they fail, depending on the dealership near you. But overall keep up with maitnance, inspect your fluids, hoses, electrical connections etc....

      It could be multiple thing, make sure you are running 91 or any premium petrol. Spark plugs may be bad or spark plugs gap may need adjusting. Dirty throttle or dirty air filter, high pressure fuel pumps commonly go bad but you should still be able to run it without it working properly. Also reset the adaptive driver learning, I reset mine every 2 weeks and it makes the car feel new and get rid of most of the jerking

    I had the same problem kinda still do I changed one of the coil packs and it ran good like back to normal but not a day later and it does it again but only down times it doesn’t make since lol

      If you only changed one coil pack and it fixed it, I would recommend changing changing the sparks and maybe the coils. If you only changed one then its possible another went out, more info would be good!

    hey 2013 Mercedes benz c250 bought brand new from dealership 55,000KMs don't drive that often. Had the jerking problems goes into LIMP MODE. Shut the car off sometimes dosent turn on. Send it to the mechanics they said my electronic plate is faulty changed that , changed tranny oils etc cost me $2300. got the car back today dosent go into limp mode anymore but i feel when i drive the revs is going higher then it should be and when i floor it the revs going way higher then it should anyone knows whats the go with this please help me

      Its hard to tell, could be normal now that you have everything fixed. maybe not. Have you tried to reset the TCU? The transmission shift points may change high or low depending on the driver as in these mercedes they have adaptive learning on these transmissions. I Personally reset mine every 2 weeks-1month. You can really feel the difference everytime you reset it. Look up video on how to do it, there are many videos and its very easy and quick to do. hope this helps if not get back to me if this does not solve the problem!

      I will try,, but first off do you have any engine codes or specific lights on your dash menu? You can start off by trying to reset your adaptive driving system. It basically adjusts your gearbox/transmission modules to how you drive or how your previous owner drove it. So usually I reset mine every 2 weeks or so depending on how much I have been driving. You would have your car off the whole time. Get in your car push your gas pedal all the way down and hold it for 5-10 seconds, keep holding down and turn the key to (Position two) wait for another 10 seconds in (position 2) then turn they key to off position while still holding the pedal down for another 10 seconds, release the pedal and sit their for about 2 minutes. Once all that is done you can start to drive again and you should feel a complete difference, makes my car feel new again every time I adjust it! If it doesn't work or you need me to do a video explaining it better, just let me know and hopefully we can get this figured out!

      The mechanic said all the spark plugs wear shot so he replaced those and just did the service b that I needed and it solved the issue and runs like new again

    Hey there I have a 2013 C250 w204 coupe and I am having some issues with acceleration. Especially when in traffic it struggles to pick up unless I shift it down myself. Also, I have a weird idle going on as well. It bounces up and down just cruising or even at a stoplight
    BTW I have changed my air filter(stock), valve cover gasket (bc it was leaking), and just spark plugs. IDK what it is, there is no check engine light either. could someone have a solution or idea? please i would love to know!!!!

      Replace the high pressure fuel pump and the fuel pressure sensor

    Can anyone help me i got the same problem on my Mercedes V Klasse 2015 Bluetech 250d i took it to diffrent mercedes garages they couldn’t find anything and I didn’t get any engine codes but the cars works fine most of the times but sometimes the car doesnt want to accelerate like normaly and jerks and it holds back like if ur going forward and a little bit backwards.

      Did you do all the things in my video? Also check spark plug gap, sometimes they aren't pre gapped like they say. Mercedes ecu actually learns the way you drive and adjusts how it feels, by the gearbox etc.... So what feels like super laggy and slow can be reset by simply holding down the acceleration/gas pedal with the car off, turn car to position 1 while still holding the pedal, then position 2 while holding the pedal, finally switch the car to off position while still holding the pedal down. Release after 10 seconds. Each step I listed above will take 10 seconds before moving onto the next. The whole reset you will be holding the gas pedal down the whole time with the engine never on. They also have videos uploaded of how to. Make sure after you do the reset to just let the car sit 2 mins so the ecu can adjust, after that you can turn the car on and feel the difference.

    In other words, SPOIL your car with new touch-ups, filters, oil, etc. I'm buying a 2013 C250 this weekend, probably. Funny thing, the car is located at the same dealership it first got bought back in 2013 and serviced there at ALL times.

    My car is doing this now. And the code came up as p0326, and everyone keeps telling me if it was sparks or ignition coils a code would specifically say that. But honestly, I havent changed the sparks on the car since I got it. And I've put miles on this baby. Lol. I hope it's just my sparks, if it doesnt stop the sputter on hard acceleration after I replace the sparks myself. Its has to be what your talking about. Also that pvc pipe connected to my air intake tube is severely broken as well. 🤔 I'm planning on replacing the air intake tube fairly soon. My car isnt under warranty. #mypocketmoney ugh. It's ok though. I do my brakes, oil changes, sparks, subwoofers, music, and my one time water coolant line myself. I'm sure I can do a damn fuel pump 🤔 lol let's hope!

      Yes change all your spark plugs and make sure they are gapped correctly... Also that pipe breaking is a common problem but it needs to be fixed asap, that broken pipe will give you a code and you will be able to feel it without a doubt. Replace that piping to turbo, you can find it for 20-40 on ebay...

      How do I clean throttle body? I just did my spark like 4 days ago and it's not sputtering anymore at hard take off! But I've also heard that I have to replace the whole air intake tube?? Because I cant just fix the broken pipe.... but if I'm understanding correctly, you're telling me i can just replace the tube that's broken? Because i was looking in investing in a brand new ceramic air intake for about 250.00, if I can just replace that pvc pipe, let's go!

      @@pershamackinting5662 you can really replace any pipe on that car, I mean a performance one would be better but it's really up to you. And throttle body is pretty easy I will try and do a video soon enough even tho I've cleaned it twice already. It's 4 hex screws, unplugging the intercooler tubing and that's really abouf it just make sure to not lose the gasket inside the intercooler tube, they tend to fall in the engine bay, also throttle body has a gasket to

      Could you be a little bit more clear? I'm confused? Your car can only accelerate in Drive or Reverse... Are you trying to say that you can rev your motor in park or neutral. basically your mercedes is not driveable? connect computer/scanner and check for codes from service engine light

      Well I'm in the auto industry and this car is actually very reliable and easy to maintain as long as you keep up with preventive maintenance... I stay away from American cars and stick with Japanese and most German cars besides BMW.... All cars have their own problems...
