    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Max boost I saw by me ever was about 14/15 PSI that's about right the C200K should be seeing around 1 bar and the C180K should see about 0.8bar if im not mistaken they have different pulley sizes.

  • @TheSnuggs01
    @TheSnuggs01 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great fix, is that a C180k? What’s the part number on the sc? The reason I am asking is you are getting 14psi boost, which should be a C230k. I am looking for one of these sc’s for my VW G60 engine and I need 14psi boost, what I understand is the C230k has the same compression ratio as my G60 engine, so a good match.

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi nope its a C200K I dont know the part number its a stock M271 engine i believe the 180k is the same engine but that is stock boost when i look it up. There is a smaller pulley kit to make more boost on that sc if you want.

      @TheSnuggs01 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@YusufPetersenCPT Hi, thanks for the reply, the C180 & 200 have the same sc, just different compression ratios, the c180 is 10.2:1 the c200 is 9.5:1, the C230 has a different sc and a compression ratio of 8.7:1. I gather that the ECU limits the boost on the bypass valve, so I will need to find a c230 sc, thanks for the assistance.

    Did you get the error “The Boost Pressure Deviates From Specified Value”? Because I keep getting this issue and my car goes into limp mode when I’m driving up a hill

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just got a boost system fault code on the reader that i have that should be the same discription as it doesnt see the right boost or low boost that made my engine light come on. The car feels very weak when the engine light is on there's still some power but i can assume thats some sort of limp mode. So once the leak is fixed i cleared the code and car drove just fine ever since. I reset adaptations at the mechanic but that doesnt have to be done as the computer will correct itself after the code has been cleared.

    • @TheYoungWarlock
      @TheYoungWarlock 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yusuf Petersen I’m getting the code 3539 and 2263 so I’m not exactly sure what the problem is. Mechanics tell me different things to replace including boost sensor but I think I should give your way a try before going into any of those other ones

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheYoungWarlock it could be a couple things yes but i would check that pipe first its a common issue i was told and if thats where the leak is then great but if its all fine then most likely a leak somewhere else or a sensor issue checking there first would be the cheapest easiest fix.

    • @TheYoungWarlock
      @TheYoungWarlock 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yusuf Petersen thanks so much for your advise! I think it’s not the sensor issue because the car only goes into limp mode when it’s going up hill, which means there’s a leak and pressure is leaking when the car is under pressure

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If i look up that 2263 code its the same code i got pretty much talking about something with the turbo charge boost performance so we could be on the right track.

  • @eduardoa4558
    @eduardoa4558 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Yusuf Petersen. I have seen your videos. Top. Look, I think I'm always behind you when it comes to problems ahahah. I have this tube with oil. When you had the air leak, did oil also come out of that tube? In addition to this oiled tube, I also have the lower ESP oiled area. The oil doesn't smell like engine oil to me. Could it be brake oil? I really like the W204 and the m271 engine, but after solving the valve cover leak, I now have this one :/

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If the oil is coming from the ABS pump it is most likely brake fluid its that or power steering fluid if its coming from the power steering pump. Maybe see closer where it is coming from. I hope you come right let us know how you get along. I know theres oil in the intake system that leaked out the boost pipe crack.

    • @eduardoa4558
      @eduardoa4558 ปีที่แล้ว +1

       @Yusuf Petersen but your tube is very clean. Did you clean it before making the video? In the video it looks really clean. Mine is all soaked with oil all the way to the bottom. Yes! I have a 2cm crack that section. it seems! What's confusing me is that the oil doesn't smell engine oil! And the brake oil level seems to have dropped! And there's oil under the ESP. Could the oil dirt on the wires under the ESP come from this leak? In your case, did the oil that escaped dirty the bottom of the ESP? Tks

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In my case all the oil in that spot came from that spot its engine oil that comes out that leak and goes all over it comes from crankcase pressure and returns back into the intake. If there is a leak on the boost pipe fix it then clean that arear with a pressure washer and some degreaser then check again to rule that out. If your brake fluid is dropping its most likely the ABS pump they are known to also fail like that.

      Interesting question it was hunting a slight bit but nothing heavy high idle on startup is normal it should drop after a few seconds. Engine behaved normal just low on power it was noticeable. You could have the problem where the vacuum hose under the intake is cracked and and lets in unmetered air that is also a know issue on this engine.

      Hey there if all else is normal that you know of and you have the same m271 engine it could be a couple things. 1 the timing chain is stretching and on start it's slapping around and idle will be rough. 2 you have that common idle air pipe leak under the intake manifold. And 3 worn engine mounts or a combo of these things. It should start farely smooth and idle smooth if everything is in order.

      Good question i looked this up a while ago if you have the c200 Kompressor you already have the smaller pulley the C180 has the bigger pulley. There is an even smaller pulley aftermarket that can be put on and yes its a press fit style so you have to pull off the old one and warm new one and put it on it can be done on the car but its very tight to get the pulley puller in.. Some put on a larger crank pulley that increases boost too i see around 15psi boost and im stock.

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oooo could be a few things. Start with checking for good spark plugs, then for any vacuum or boost leaks there shouldnt be much lag it should just kick down and go. Watch my latest video where i go to the drag strip and see if it pulls the same as mine.. remember im stock just removed cats. Rough idle could be the gears are going or it already skipped a couple teeth on timing. Its gonna involve some checking im afraid to rule out things. Could also just be that idle valve pipe that sits underneath the intake thats a common issue, the pipe tears and it creates a vacuum leak.

    Hi, my W204 C200 Kompressor is having the same problem and the error code is P0046, could it be the supercharger or the boost pipe

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      First check boost leaks the supercharger is fairly robust. If its the charger then thats alot of work. Boost leak is easy to check for.

      @@YusufPetersenCPT Thanks a lot, l suppose checking for leaks is going through the intake manifold all the way to the intercooler. Can I check for this whilst the engine is running

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes the front intake pipe runs all over so there can be a leak anywhere best way is to get a diagnostic tool to check boost amount you should be seeing 14psi if its like 5psi or something low you defs have a leak.

      The App i use is called Torque on the Android app store that allows you to pair with the scanner you will however want the full version of the app. Or just search the full apk and install

    It seems your silicon hose slightly bigger size. What is the correct oem inside diameter if I want to buy one ?

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh man i cant 100% remember i rote it down somewhere it was a weird number i think 58mm and the silicone pipe was 60mm its not much difference i know i couldnt get a silicone hose the oem size thats why i got the size i did. Worked great tho still holding boost just fine and shouldn't tear like the oem one.

      Thanks Yusuf, I want to inject water methanol from this location and would like to use T pipe of silicon here. What do you think?

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Drill a fitting into the plastic 90° hose that goes into the throttle body the intake air run for this car is super long so you have to pick the right spot. But i was thinking about it and thats where i would put the inlet fitting.

    • @CB-gp9dc
      @CB-gp9dc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@YusufPetersenCPT I was thinking to inject from the line right after the throtle. But it is difficult to acces and may impact to other system. Also it suppose prior throtle in order could be measured the amount of air. You are right it is a bit far, therefore I think the longger silicon pipe up to the throtle could solve it.

    • @YusufPetersenCPT
      @YusufPetersenCPT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes that pipe cracking is very common I was told it by a mercedes mechanic hence I thought let me find another way rather than just replace with the OEM. It's turbo piping connection I got from my local car mods accessories shop. Turbo shops should have it just take oem one with to match size you won't get the same size its a weird size but the one I got was very close

      @YusufPetersenCPT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry no store link i got it from a car parts accessories shop in athlone. Maybe some car parts shops will have it. Even a normal water type hose should work it just needs to be the right size and hold boost.

    • @YusufPetersenCPT

      You can feel the car is down on power because if the pipe is cracked you will be leaking boost just before the throttle body. Also if you stick your hand down you can maybe feel its cracked.
