    Thanks for the video. Made me appreciate my 2013 C250 even more! I'm the first owner and so far it has done 28k miles. Self-maintained since new other than recalls. Stock keyless entry, push-to-start, staggered 18" amg wheels, lighting package and becker map pilot. I just replaced the 10-year-old but otherwise still good Pirelli tires. And lately, I had issues in the morning with the stiffed-up brake pedal. I'd say this is the very first issue I had. I replaced the brake vacuum pump and fixed it. I also heard about the Banjo bolt and this will be my next project.

    I have a salvage title 2013 c250 sport package, bought at 77k miles and currently at 105k had it for 3 years miles maintenance wise it’s not to bad if you have extra money after you purchase the car you should be fine I absolutely love my c250 I maintain it really well ! In my opinion I feel my car is super reliable due to my obsession of having my car at 100% and putting 91 gas

    My father left me a 3 owner, full service history 2002 W203 C270 CDI with 210 000 miles on it, the suspension, auto transmission and motor are still unbelievably smooth and has been very well looked after. This car moves when you want it to, only issues were the crank shaft sensor, transmission selector switch and a small leak on the mechanical diesel pump. I am seriously considering a non boosted large capacity W204. My first Mercedes has been a great experience.

    • @GhostMafia4
      @GhostMafia4  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank for watching! I'd recommend taking it to your local German Car specialist. But if your trying to d.i.y it. I'd tart with unhinged all the 87 fuel out of it. Then refilling with premium fuel then replacing the spark plugs unless you know they've been replaced already with quality ones in the near past. After that chasing down your misfire to ignition coils and such. Otherwise lower grade fuel shouldn't actually cause any issues to your car from a one time accident. Unless the fuel was contaminated. Hopefully this helps.

    I wish I was near you. I have an 05 c230, 17 E 4Matic and just purchased a 12 c250. All sport coupes. As you can see I love these cars but this c250 I just purchased to get to my local job May have been a mistake. Nice aesthetically with 110k miles and vegan leather that tears easily, but it’s only been 5 days and it’s steaming with a smell of antifreeze inside. So either there’s a radiator issue or maybe a cap issue. I’m hoping that maybe if there’s a heaven above that the service from the dealer I got it from could have overflowed the reservoir. I don’t think the mechanic of a ford/Honda dealer would know how intricate repairs or service should be on a German car. But if you say it’s a decent buy then I’m not as disappointed. The differences here is I noticed the smell and steam at a drive thru at the bank last night on a similar incline and platform but the temp gauge was normal and did not elevate. Would you say go for manual or auto transmission, also is that 2.1 engine a renault one? Would you agree with me that mercedes looks great outside but inside feels outdated? Or is just my feeling? Also is it worth getting mercedes c class estate with 115k miles on it(not taxi) or is like with all cars- pay for inspection before buying if possible and no matter if merc or audi? Have you worked on honda accord 2012 2.2 diesel estate? They look great inside-leather is much better quality than in merc you showed in video. • @GhostMafia4
      @GhostMafia4  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for watching! It's hard for me to compare to VW since any direct injection engine is going to naturally buildup carbon over time however If the engine is happy I've seen them go over 100k miles without major buildup so the answer is if the engine is happy it runs cleaner than if it's unhappy. Things like leaky valve cover/oil pan, bad pcv, vacuum leak, faulty injector, weak turbo ect are all going to accelerate carbon buildup

      Interesting you should mention range rover we have been talking about them in my shop and it's almost as tho certain cars get a reputation. We've actually never seen a range rover with a major mechanical problem. And the electrical problems that they "have" are generally just modules that need replaced and reprogrammed. To answer your question more specifically I'd give the Mercedes a 7 out of 10 as long as you got the AMG model as mentioned. As far as mechanical reliability. If it is in your budget to buy it twice any repairs you may have shouldn't be an issue.

      If it's below the average selling price of others in your area and dosent show signs of fluid leaking orany other mechanicalflaws , it could definitely be a car that treats you well.

    • @Sympatiko85
      @Sympatiko85 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I did :). took advantage of the low market price. 13' mb C250 amg sport plus 87k, it does not have a backup camera or rear window shade however it has a Sport button and active rear dampers. The Sport Plus is an extra tune to the transmission i think since it only has Economy or Sport mode, no comfort mode like the other models i see online. it is a great car! 2-4 less cylinder, 2-4 less to maintain. the engine has a bad reputation, however 10k oil changes seem neglectful. Mercedes has a dual adjustable cams called Camtronic, it like a Vtec feel after every shift on Sport Mode.
      so far fun to drive, satisfied with the power but the chassis so balanced would be a greater car with 300hp at the wheels. the front of the car is so light. it's a great driver car, the handling is engaging, and steering wheel feel is phenomenal in this trim package. the C250 is well balanced sport sedan. worth it very well sorted car.

      @GhostMafia4  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice! 10k service intervals I feel like is a marketing thing that never gets questioned. Similar to "lifetime" transmission fluids. The one you was able to get would be there highest trim line for the C250 correct?

    • @GhostMafia4
      @GhostMafia4  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thank you for watching and commenting ! My personal opinion only because its higher in mileage without a service history and its the entry level series would be to pass. Due to the higher mileage it may currently be fully functioning but parts and seals are beginning to need to be replaced.

    Hi @ghostmafia I’m looking at a 2013 C250 for 13k with 80k miles. Do you think it’s worth it? It comes with a 3 month warranty and I can buy an extended warranty. What should I beware of in terms of maintenance and other potential issues? I would hate to get any car that has unbearable issues.

    Pin my comment to the top , w204 has common rusty rear subframe that would eat thru from the inside out. MB USA extended our warranty until 2030 , they will replace it for free of charge and no questions ask even not original owner . This is new so not many know it.

    Can someone tell me the difference between a c200, c220, c250 and a c300 cuz they all look the same from the outside
    I was wondering how to buy from these w204 models since the c63 is the obvious highest model

    • @GhostMafia4
      @GhostMafia4  ปีที่แล้ว

      First off thank you for watching the video! Very good question. Simply put the C63 would be the highest performing c class model. Mainly it's engine size / suspension / transmission configuration that's gonna separate the trim lines.
