Where is code enforcement?! Where is the health department? Rats cause hantavirus. Roaches cause all sorts of health problems. Why aren’t the owners being held accountable? Is there a landlord-tenant association??
How about the Park Falls apartments in West Houston the place has mold and lots of cockroaches I had apartment 705 and it was loaded with black mold inside the air conditioning Box and the cockroaches trying to kill them was ridiculous.
Open bag of Cheetos nearby where she is cooking probably doesn't help with roaches. If they will get into a hot pot of food she is cooking on the stove, I am sure they made a way into that open bag of Cheetos. The infestation of insects and vermin is so bad that is hard to believe those buildings are salvageable at this point. Everyone needs to leave---they needed to leave ages ago. Those buildings need to be condemned.
Yes, there a lot you can do. I like my landlord but just rebuilt the entry stairs as he's so busy. Next, the toilet is coming out, but I'm handy. And I need a new entry door; the one now is an interior. But clean like japanese clean helps keep the bugs away.
I mean your right about being clean to minimize rodents but in this scenario their neighbors/whole complex is already infested with them. Being clean will not keep them out
