I took my wife thru hell and back for many years. We are still together, sleep in different rooms, no sex, only spend 3 hrs a week together when we go grocery shopping. I committed to my vows. She tells me she was committed for all those years she is drained and done.

If you haven't already, counseling would be a good option to consider. You can call us at 719-278-3708 and we can get you scheduled for the two of you and help the two of you move forward.

@@DrDougWeiss I really wish it would have worked for
Me. We finally went to Colorado Springs in September.
I just don’t know how fall in love with him again. So much neglect. I have had more than 12 clinical depressions in this marriage. We are talking with Mary Pat and having sessions. I just don’t know what to do It’s like my heart is dead. I keep asking God to give life to these dry bones and to fill my heart with love for my husband. So far nothing. I am at a loss and I don’t know what to do. Is it over? It’s funny because now he compliments me ALL THE TIME. Now he wants to kiss me. And I just pull away. Help me! Please!

Marriage with an autistic spouse who demonstrates IA feels like incest- if the IA/Autistic prefers the dependent child role, in the isolated instances of sexual encounters, the sexual act can literally feel like an incestuous experience with a child. It is heartbreaking, physically/ emotionally/ spiritually- the neglect is devastating to live for decades within the dynamic exchange of pain for love.

I have never understood is why anyone would accept or settle for anyone who is incapable of meeting my needs. Any time I have been in relationships I have told her that she can do whatever she wants but if she desires to stay in the relationship with me X will never happen and Y always will. Life is difficult enough as it is but to willingly be with someone who makes it worse?

I think sexless marriages are common for many years, I just wish someone would have warned me. Not one warning from any of my married friends. That's where the real betrayal lies.

Most of the time it’s porn use. If you listen to the video, he says, “if it’s willful”. In that case, the marriage vows are already broken and you have every reason to leave.

I have every right to walk out. 20 years of neglect and depression. He didn’t up hold his vows! Now he wants to fix after I begged on my knees and I shed so many tears. Not having intimacy and or sex will erode the love and loyalty in a marriage. I asked and begged till I was dry.
I have no idea how to even get in my heart to start to love him again. I am so angry and deeply sad. I am not in love with him.

@@VanessaSimon26That is strange something is wrong with him if he doesn't want to be intimate. I watch porn because my wife isn't as interested in sex as me. I prefer the real thing but if she says no it doesn't bother me. Maybe he should get some counseling.
