- When you need a new tire mounted on the rear of your motorcycle you'll need to take the wheel off first. You'll save yourself some money by doing this, then just bring the wheel/old tire to the shop vs. them doing this service for you.
Watch Dr. Speed lemon shows you the process on this Yamaha R6, and start saving more money by removing the rear wheel yourself!

Yeah the collar thing was in the back of my truck. We just replaced the rear tire. And put everything back together. Wonder how important that piece is
exactly what i needed to know! I have a 2020 r6 and my tires need replacing. Thank you sir!
We aren't perfect here at Motorcycle Maintenance Channel, but always trying to learn more for ourselves and to help out the motorcycle community as much as we can. Thanks so much for watching, we really appreciate it and so glad we could help out a little bit. Ride safe!
This video helped me so much! First time switching out my tires on my R6. I couldn't figure out how to get the rear brake caliper in and you saved me! I didn't know about the groove it was supposed to sit in. I kept thinking I was missing a bolt and it couldn't just sit there haha🤣THANK YOU!
Really glad our video helped out!
Thanks for watching, too!!
This video has been a huge help for me thank you so much bro.
So glad to read this! Thanks for watching!
@@motorcyclemaintenancechann2131 Absolutely keep doing what you do bro.
I know this reel was about removing the wheel, but how come you didn't adjust the chain? And/or loosen the chain adjusters before you pulled the wheel out or took the chain off? I don't understand...??? When you loosen the axle nut, you always adjust the chain!
Watched the vid from start to finish and found it informative as I have just purchased a R6. But what’s going on with your torque wrench my dad had one of them in the early 80s.
good job bud i used to remove the rear brake caliper mine is an 04
Great to hear it!
Thanks for a great video, it’s my first time doing it and I felt a little intimidated
Glad it helped!
Awesome video!!! This will be a huge help. Thank you.
My tire feel stiff. I did everything right. I hear some scraping noise coming from the back. What do I do?
Double-check you put the caliper on correctly and the spacers as well
Thank you! Is there a particular reason you chose that particular Pit Bull paddock stand for the R6?
They’re good stands, worth the premium price😎
Great informational video! Appreciate the kush drive part!
Having a real hard time getting the caliper back on... any tips?
Did you get it?
If not, spread the pads with a screwdriver wrapped in a micro fiber cloth so as to not scrape the pads too much. Then try again. Hope you got it already!
@@motorcyclemaintenancechann2131 yes I did, did exactly what you said actually lol. Thanks for getting back to me though. 🤙
