I love your setup, bro. I have a stage 3 Focus ST, coupled with a stratified tune, catless downpipe and intercooler, and it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

i agree with you on this , i have a similar build but with the atp 2867r.64 also tuned by alan jackson....i dont have access to 100 octance or e30 and on pump gas he manage to give me 380hp . also i have the 2 port aux fuel either way one of the biggest issues is the knock and that is contributed by the type of gas in using either way, i got the itch to get MORE POWER BABY!!!!!!......
U have the same turbo set up i had in the good old days. I always thought the turbo you have is the right size for low end and top end for the ST unless u want above 430-450whp without taxing the turbo at 100%. the .64 is key!!!!!! I made 420whp on e30 stock fuel. At that power I ended up burning oil after 1 yr and the motor ran fine. When we open it up one piston ring was broken so we slapped piston and rods and it ran hard till I sold it. Since u dont have e85 U need WMI to break you into the low-Mid 400s....Good Luck!!!!
I also have a race red. Going slow modifying it. I plan to keep it for a looooong time. If I'm lucky my son can drive it in 16 years lol.

Did you build the engine? Im also planning on going with edge autosport for my big turbo soon. I saw him make 380 whp and 390 wtq with a gtx 2860 gen 2 on 91 octane with e85. I have 93 octane & e85 available here to me which is what im currently running on. I feel more comfortable with a 380 whp build because my engine isnt built and i do have 65k miles. If your engine isn't built, are you worried about blowing it?
The big thing when you go big turbo is fuel starvation, that’s was popped my OE motor IMO if your going big turbo get at least methanol injection or aux fuel

With the Mountune intake they offer a silicon turbo connection pipe instead of the smaller hard pipe which is the full 3 inch.
Do you have any website I can buy that from? Mountune I think just barley got rid of their ST intake cause I can’t find it anymore on their website

On my 2012 speed 3. Make 367whp 387 ftlbs on e30 mix at 22psi. Bnr v3 s4 Turbo and huge 800hp rated cp-e intercooler.

gonna buy my first st soon, i wanna stage 3 it right away lol, any suggestions on what all i need to do for stage 3
Catless or Catted Downpipe, catback exhaust, Cold Air Intake, and DEFINITELY an intercooler. The stock intercooler on these cars are notoriously trash. I chose to go with Mishimoto, though a common and very renowned brand is CPE. And of course, don't forget the step colder spark plugs from NGK. Gapped between .026 - .028.

It's a nice car but with the air box on there you're restricting air flow you can get an aftermarket air box that opens it up more but still keeps it in clothes from the engine

Yes that’s rear factory brakes all the other kits cost 1500 for the rear
Frankenbrake upgrade I think you can run the RS rear disc, all you need is a bracket from a Volvo. Last time I heard. I believe the caliper is the same on the RS but just blue. Haha

Stock internals and engine?
100% stock. Built ST’s are sitting more comfortably around 500+ HP

Because I have a stage 3 st which I want to big turbo but not sure how realiable it will be after it’s got a big turbo which a stage 3 tune on stock internals
@@randyklassen2005 All depends on the power your trying to reach. With a big turbo your only able to reach 350hp without aux fuel, with aux fuel and depending on what turbo you want I’d say anywhere between 350-420 is reasonable with a safe tune. Once you go beyond mid 400’s, upgraded internals might be in the picture. A big turbo will probably be better for your engine then consistently maxing out your stock one because of LSPI. Check out edgeautosports on TH-cam if you haven’t amazing education videos on their platform.

Water/Meth injection would negate the 100 octane fuel requirement. I use it in my supercharged Mustang without an intercooler.

How much power can the Gearboxes in these cars. What are there weak areas ?
They can hold close to 500whp and anything past that I would do the lsd and also the synchros
@@Duraguy love these cars. In Australia it's strange. We have the XR5 Turbo which has the Volvo 2.5 litre 5 cylinder engine and the Focus which has a 2.0litre engine. There is a stroker kit that they have for the 2 litre that brings it up to 2.3 litre all forged internals.
What size engine did yours have?

I have mine for sale 2017 st low miles 48,548 mid bolt ons almost stock for 21,345 car looks new i only used to go to work a came back 7 minutes from my house send me your phone and email i send you pictures of the st im located in texas

Just get a used motor from a Ford Edge or Lincoln it’s easy to install the only thing u will need is the oil filter u will swap the one from ur st to the new motor that’s it
@@Duraguy Rebuilt title means it's had some body damage and been repaired. Might be worth it. 9k for a 2017 with under 23k miles!

No it’s not that’s a 2.3 hybrid I believe
@@Duraguy the one that’s in the maverick is a 2 liter 4 cylinder eco boost AWD. The other engine configuration you can get is the hybrid 2.5 but FWD and like 190hp

@@robreeto no the st fuel pump and injectors can do up to 400+without upgrading and even more with aux fuel

I heard another 2k$ check and $1k a month....if it goes through. Gonna order that JBR bov pipe tonight and then coilovers and tires, think I’m gonna hold off on wheels and run my premiums with spacers and get the raw RS brembo’s and paint them red....or shadow black.
