Jeez. I've had my Focus ST for 10 years now. I can hardly believe it. I've done most of these mods and kept her maintained pretty well. Still runs like a champ in it's class and never had a single problem
This video is very useful as I'm working on maintenance/upgrade rather than looking to mod the hell out of it. I want more subtle stuff but definitely anything that gives better torque. Not looking to race it or anything wild just make it a better driver. The first thing I did was replace my air filter too lol
Glad to see the Mishimoto updated their bracket. I have a first generation, and it broke due to vibrations or other engine movement (they were great and replaced it, though I still had the old one welded up with a small gusset). This new one has that great diagonal piece which will undoubtedly prevent such breaks.
Thank you for all the knowledge/information that you are sharing. I am using your videos as a guide apply it to our 2015 Escape 2.0T AWD. So far I have done the K&N filter, SS brake lines, Hakw pads and slotted rotors, Hotchkins front sway bar (rear going next), Whiteline end links, Radium Catch can and Mountune breathable plate. I found this company (Livernoise) that have some great tunes for the Escape.
Thanks for the reminders on the rear motor mount and catch cans...of the "many more" parts for less than $250 that I like are a rear sway bar, lowering springs, and motul brake fluid!! Looking forward to your 2022 content and will be in touch as soon as this 100k warranty is over with 🙄
Im just watching your video today 04/14/2023 and is a very helpfull video. The best part is that i just see that you guys are in Denver! Im from Castle Rock and i just get my first Focus ST and im in love with it. I get it from a dealership and i know that it have some extra things on it but im not sure what exactly work maybe have or not. I will love to go to your shop to see if you can see it and help find whats on it please!!!
Y'all should make a fun/dumb video for each of your builds. I'll be ordering a tune here soon. You guys have been an awesome channel for my focus. I ordered that milltek non resonated from ya :)
Awesome video, looking forward to spring and I can start playing with my FoST. Are you planning an install video on the wastegate actuator? You speak very highly of it but there isn’t a lot of information about the install process.
For whatever reason my ST hates the ngk’s. Would the ford performance 1 step colder plugs be a good choice? I’m running oem plugs and the car loves them.
Interesting... did you make sure your NGKs were properly gapped? Even though they are Iridium, a gap adjustment is usually required. That said, a one-step colder plug is great for a modified Focus ST, and we recommend and sell a ton of them.
Yep started at what my tuner recommend and went smaller to wider and no matter what I did I got Boost blow out even at light throttle started sputtering at 3k. Super weird, even bought 2-3 sets thinking maybe it was a bad batch. I’m not even running crazy Boost on stock turbo, (still on stock intercooler. JBR intake tube oem air box, catless Downpipe, 3.25 tomei catback) even made sure the coilpack string was seated correctly and wasn’t kinked or jammed up inside the pack pack. Put in the oem plugs and I could beat on the car and had zero problems. Ran flawlessly.
Hey I have that filter and new to upgrading my ST. Keep the box top in correct? Otherwise I’ll be sucking heat? I wanna get the snorkel but do I even need to if I just wanna do a full intake kit? I don’t wanna go nuts as it’s a daily/occasional autocross car, mostly looking for some air, res delete, and maybe a flash tune? If I could run 300 reliably that’s all I’m after
Do the bulbs work for pre-facelift models ? As I do not have led’s therefor I don’t have the projector lens. I’m wondering if I need to change the full head lights or just the bulbs
Need a video on how to install the Cobb Turbo Blanket. Is it installed from top or bottom? I want to buy one but need to know if I can install it myself?
Rear Motor Mount: Keep in mind 2016+ STs come with the better eFocus RMM. According to forum posters, this is roughly equivalent to the Mountune RMM. Anything stiffer than the Mountune is going to cause noticeable NVH, especially at idle with the AC on. The stiffer ones definitely do their job in reducing well hop, etc., but plenty of people get put off from the NVH in their street cars and downgrade.
I have a 16', It came with the Efocus mount. The Mountune is WAAYYY better. Nvh at idle is about the same as stock but it's not even close as far as controlling engine movement. Mountune is faarrr better. Currently running CPE stage 2 and there's only minor increases in NVH from stock.
I have an ‘18 and switched to Mountune’s RMM. It’s a massive difference in control, but the increase in noise was very minimal, worst is vibration at idle w/AC running, but the rest of the time I really appreciate “feeling” the engine. I’ve never even thought about taking it off, and my wife hardly even noticed a difference.
I have a 2013 focus st3 with a full 3.5 inch exhaust ,1320 high flow catted down pipe, mishimoto intercooler, boomba bov, billet aluminum shifter bushings, cobb intake with green stiff filter, boomba sound symposer delete, cobb v3 accessport, bov relocation, colder plugs, hard intercooler piping, ags delete with bc coilovers. I have a custom stratified tune on 91 and 93 octain (stage 3). I hear you guys do a very good job with tunes and im looking to try something different. Update a little. What you guys think.
@@WarSecrets The main thing i asked was just max power and performance but with factory engine and settings. Basically in track mode you have 330 HP, 530NM and unlimited top speed which for me was about 285km/h on highway, i think for a 290 max.... I didnt asked for anything else, so they give me that for money. All this so it can pass emission test.
My early 2013 ST-2 has the older 2.0L Ecoboost that uses the closed deck Mazda L-block. Any build upgrades needed to run 300 whp other than a bigger turbo? I have a Mountune intake, intercooler and cat-back. The MP-275 tune currently puts out 263 whp on 91 octane, and I’d prefer to stay on pump gas, as the car is on long distance runs pretty regularly.
Haha that is definitely unrelated. You talking about the unpainted RX style wing? That was a one-off, we haven't seen it sold anywhere... and ours isnt for sale 😎
Many will, yes! It is largely the same layout, just turned 90 degrees. Unfortunately, we haven't specifically tested the fitment across all the ecoboosts
More will be coming soon, we've been doing some repairs and gathering parts! Namely, doing research on turbos and the best supporting mods - stay tuned!
These engines do not get any gains whatsoever from an aftermarket air intake but hey i cant expect a company that wants peoples money to be entirely honest.

Good to hear that, I just got a 2017 ST1 a few days ago I love it so much
You guys should do more list like this. Do more 250 or even go up to 500 or 1000
Thanks, We just might!

Dope! This helps. Just picked my 2014 ST3 with 45k miles about a week ago! Already has Catback and rear mount upgrade. Now to do some tasteful ones
Glad it helped! Feel free to call our shop if you ever need guidance, Nicholas.
I just did some Redline hood strut elites. Solid mod to delete that ugly prop rod 😂.

Look into the JMS boostmax if you don't want to get a tune.
First mod I installed was hood struts.

I dont think I've ever had to dump my rear catch can in the year I've had it. It looks all "racecar" though so I like it being there
Love the vid. Only thing I would add is the steeda clutch spring. Great mod for super cheap!
Thanks, and noted!
I have the Steeda clutch spring and Damond throttle pedal spacer installed on mine. Improves the driving experience immensely!
Excellent content guys as per usual

Do you have to have a tune with 1 step colder spark plugs
You wouldn't need 1-step colder plugs unless you are tuned, does that answer your question?
I have a 2016 ford focus SE no fog light. Can they be installed?
How many of these mods also work for the Ford Edge 2.0 Eco platform? Do you do tuning on these as well?
Need a video on how to install the Cobb Turbo Blanket. Is it installed from top or bottom? I want to buy one but need to know if I can install it myself?
2013 Ford edge 2.0 turbo ego boost. How do I get more power?
are these specific to the ST? I have a 2015 SE.
i'm pretty sure the velossa tech bigmouth can work on the se, i was recently looking into it. Not so sure about anything else though
Definitely don't downplay how hard it is to get the stock shifter bushings off of the cables in the engine bay
Whats the part number for the spark plugs

Does the Cobb air filter fits on a base se model?
@1:46 you listed the wrong plugs (they are for a Holden) you need LTR6BI-9 for Focus ST 2014 - 2019
The plugs we recommend are one step colder for the Focus ST, the graphic on the video explains what that means and when it would apply to you.
hey can any of these mods fit on a Ford Focus SE 2012?
Not sure if this question was answered, would st parts fit on a sel?

For some extra money you get the factory soft to 330 hp and some 530NM, which is better than all these
With what mods?

300whp will be a bit of a miracle on the stock turbo... Our Garrett Powermax-powered ST with full bolt ons just barely got over 300whp on E85.
can these parts work for ford focus sel
Unrelated to this vid but is there any place to buy the wing on the FC3 I really dig it and would like one for my coupe
Haha that is definitely unrelated. You talking about the unpainted RX style wing? That was a one-off, we haven't seen it sold anywhere... and ours isnt for sale 😎

the rear motor mounts, would it have an affect with a standard 1.6 Ford Focus? tuned to 145 bhp and kn filter so pulls nice
Yeah, it will make the driving experience more direct, it should feel firm and responsive!
Is there a plan to showcase a Focus ST 2020 - 2021?
Maybe we will upgrade when they update the engine, in the meantime, we may be getting into something a little more exciting.
Im from Puerto Rico , can't get a order online , it tells me you dont ship here .
We should be able to, please give us a call on Monday and let's look into that for you.
Lol the big mouth upgrade was 250$ for me
Does anyone know about a supercharger I could use in my 2012 2.0 focus?

Why only Ford Focus St not Model S
The base model S doesn't really have the potential of the ST, nor the aftermarket support...
