Always wished the Top Gear Gents had more of a interest in motorbikes. I mean May and Hammond do, but Clarkson was always against it. Would of been nice to see bikes racing cars or a bike on the track. A lot of cars would have beat the bike, but it would have been thrilling.
Such a shame not to have boothy with you, he's sorely missed by everyone and an awesome addition to the channel, the mental aswell as physical toll on him must be immense, but I think with you two supporting him and being his mates will give him such a boost, get well soon boothy
Loved my 93 YZF750 in magenta pink. Took it to one of the Yamaha Weekends at Donnington and got to ride the track in Shitty Leather Jacket and jeans. God bless 1990s Heath and Safety!
@@alanmacer5078 Why be so rude? He's just giving credit where credits due. Chris has been open about his struggles with weight and been sharing his weight-loss journey and has clearly made some great progress to becoming fitter and healthier. Just because you care doesn't mean others don't
Great review guys, keep them coming, I had both of these back in the day, the foxeye blade i got new and felt a notch above the YZF but I think now the Yam looks better. We used to ride then to Assen each year to see Foggy, Scott, Russel, Kosinski, Haga, edwards, Chill, Whitham and co...... VERY special memories. Bugger, I might have to get one of these now before its too late. Look forward to the nest review and thanks, your 24hour 125 stuff cracks me up :)
I had the 1000 version back in my 90’s youth 😃 with the sticky exup valve (no power after 6-7 k) and dodgy reserve switch on top of side fairing. Great to see these fantastic bikes again, keep it up, can’t wait til next episode
They raced the 900 RR in Formula Extreme AMA, and Formula USA. They raced GSXR 1100s against 750s, 500GP. All kinds of bikes. The Muzzy Raptor, Open class.
First big bike, an RRS. Loved it. Used to ride it from Copenhagen to London via Amsterdam. Perfectly comfortable, so well built. Thanks for the memories.
Great news, this is the best thing motorbike related on the internets… Chris might have a challenge on his hands this time round 😉👍 The fireblade is going to be hard to beat…Hlope Boothy’s doing well and we get a surprise appearance later on 💪🤗 Ticket booked for the big show 😉
Ok I have been able to binge watch all the old BBBs... This is my first one I have to wait for each episode... I already can't wait for the next one! Have fun boys!
I've always said biking is *by far* the best value route to real excitement on the road. If you don't mind a lot of spanner work and you're not committed to the latest fashionable wallet shrinking Panigale/Superduke/R1 etc, you're quids in even with these near thirty year old machines.
So looking forward to this one! As a kid, a school friends dad had a YZF 750 brand new and my bedroom wall was plastered in posters of the Urban Tiger CBR, oh and pictures of Pamela Anderson and Anna Nicole Smith! Send Boothy our love!!
Something to keep in mind riding in Germany now- research the noise limit on the roads you're planning on taking, police are pulling bikes over and checking the logbook for the dB level from factory, and if the log book states its higher than the limit for that particular road it's an on the spot fine around 200 euro. Some of my mates are out there atm and two of them have already been fined this week
What the Sheee-it !! So much absolutely stankin content this week boys !! So good to see ya'll back - its like 27 pints of Stella after a wander through the desert.
Awesome. Love a YZF750, although maybe not that one. This is going to be one hell of a test for these vintage rides. Not confident they'll come back under their own steam but what fun finding out. Can't wait.
Bavaria?! Guys, you have to pop in at mine and Renna's house. We are near Würzburg. Great forest roads here to explore, too. Al knows us. We popped in the team tent when he the TT in 2016! Very excited for this bbb!
So amazing this! Even my wife loves watching you guys with me hahaha... And she hates me watching all these motorbike and car videos lol... Unfortunately we live in the Netherlands and making a trip over to the UK in January doesn't sound all that nice😂
Brilliant. Can’t wait. A mate of ours had a “pinky” YZF back in the day. We used to call it the Gay Jamboree. Never ran right and he was always stripping the carbs. In the end he realised it had burnt valves. A rebuild sorted it. They look cool again now though. 😎
This sounds awesome! Good luck gents. P.s Chris I watch you walk on Instagram most days, but seeing you on here I can really see how much weight you've lost. You look great 👍 P.P.S Al you're sexy too
Bloody fantastic - did a similar route on my Daytona 675 back in 2011 & riding your Welsh adventure vid route on Monday on my Tuono V4 factory😃😉 Looking forward to all the B500/Nürburgring shots with Hoff’s No.1 German hit “I’ve been looking for freedom” blaring out in the background...☺️
Got to get your comment in quick these days! 😅 Yes boys, this is just the news that was needed as the curtain comes down on another summer!!! (love to Boothy 🧡) 👍
Love both these bikes and it's had me misty eyed with nostalgia 😍 it's also had me perusing fleabay looking at 90s sports bikes and convincing the lady that I can indeed squeeze in a 3rd bike next to the Blackbird and Pani V4. Love the channel 😁😁😁
Currently in Bavaria for the next week. Defo try and check out Neuschwanstein Castle and the Fussen area. It's stunning. Oberstdorf is bit further south but worth it for some mountains.
Epic, my bro just bought a 1988 CBR 250 GP, after doing the 200hp superbike thing, we're definetly with you guys, having fun with old bikes is the BEST!
That Blade! Had the yellow/purple version until some scrote nicked it, bought a YZF750 with the insurance payout. Both exceptional bikes! The Blade did race, they were used in the Proddie TT when it was brought back, Mcallen on the Motorcycle City one.
The perfect budget bike battle ! I’m 44, and those two bikes were way up there in my wet dreams 😁. My bedroom walls were packed with maxi size posters of half naked women from Woolworths, and posters from the centre fold of Performance bike magazines, and bike dealership brochures. But Pritt sticked to my bed side table was the Yamaha YZF 750 Exup in Pink & white (both SP & standard, spotting the difference was like finding Wolly). I ended up buying the later 1000cc blade, but test rode, and nearly bought that same 916cc blade, but in red white & yellow as I remember. It reminded me of a more comfortable early R6. The nineties was the best for proper looking super bikes and mad two strokes. Top work boys 👍. Saw a chaps comment earlier about your show being like motorcycles Top Gear. Quite right he is 😉👌.
Awesome, I absolutely love all the BBBs! And I must say Baron looking pretty fit and clear minded👍 Don't forget the Nürburgring has a exhaust sound limit so no open cans. Greetings from Würzburg
Wooo!! Been waiting for this! And excited about the bike choices! My dad had one of those Yammy's and my first road legal bike was a 98 900rr and I absolutely loved it. Can't wait!!
Cracking pair of bikes👍The second worst hangover I ever have and was during Oktoberfest…..the last morning, anxiety levels through the roof and then had to deal with getting on a plane…it was horrendous.
Yes indeed, I am happy you guys are doing the budget bike battle again! If I lived in the UK I would bring my old ass to the premier! I can see from the pre view it is going to be a barrel of laughs! Have fun guys!
Exup valve..?? I had the same issue and found the cable wasn't opening the valve correctly. Had to rebush the bearing also..Cracking vid guys I love the bbb.👍😁
Morning fellas.A mate of mine recently had same fault as the Yam. We went through all the normal to try and fix. If you rode it hard ran out of guts 6 k Wound it on gently 7.5 / 8 k Turned out to be the fuel pump. With what u described I think it’s worth a look. Looking forward to the BBB😎

That Fireblade is a quality machine especially as it looks so standard. I rode an RRT to Spain about 13 years ago and it was faultless, the only niggle was the 16inch front wheel meant I couldn't fit the tyres I wanted but that may have changed now. Great stuff as usual and looking forward to this.
BBB is the greatest show since the heyday of Top Gear 10+ years ago. Keep up the amazing work boys!

Nice choices! Chris, aside from fueling, check the EXUP valve moves when you rev it. If that stays closed down, top end will suffer.
