I have no idea how I was able to put this together so fast. I'm not sure if this run was easier or if I got really good at the controls from playing a lot of Galaxy 2.
Hiya! Currently kicking the challenge machine into overdrive so I can't talk long. There's a few days of 2018 left and I'm so close to 50k subs I may as well work my... uhh... work my spring off to reach it. So here's the sequel to the SMG2 video!
Not gonna lie, I think my favourite part of this run was trying to do the secret star in freezeflame despite it turning out impossible. I reached so many weird areas I never knew existed.

When I first played this game, I thought you had to skip the gate in Deep Dark Galaxy
I tried doing a lot of these skips in my own run on purpose to give more of a challenge, and you just concluded that a lot of the ones I thought were impossible were actually possible.
same for me i always tried to do challenges and most i thought were impossible

I have always hated the bee and spring mushrooms because they limit your mobility to just jump and either "fly" or super jump. I am currently trying to beat the game as Luigi while using them as little as possible. I've had some success, since Bee Luigi's flight is the same height as back flipping into a wall, jumping off of it, and spin jumping to just reach the top of the wall. I'm glad there's someone as committed as me to not use Bee and Spring mushrooms lol.
(Also, fun fact, you can collect all 5 warp star pieces off of the queen bee without bee Luigi. 4 are accessible with backflip spin jumps, and the 5th is the same, but off a fountain.)

WaluigiGoesWa only has 2000 subscribers even though two relatively large youtubers told their viewers to go watch them.
Shoutouts on yt usually don't do that much. I think when PewDiePie shouted out someone in a vid with 4m views they only gained 12k subs.

That skip in Honeyhive Galaxy is ridiculous, I'm great at this game, but I can't do that speedrunning technique because of how frame perfect and pixel perfect it is. First off, getting up these two previous slops weren't difficult, it's getting up that stupid tree that's just insane, I'm surprised a human can even do this, since it looks like something only a TAS bot can do. The worst part is that if you're doing an 105 star bit run (not "star bitless", because you're required to get five star bits for the black luma after beating Dino Piranha, and one hundred star bits to feed that first pink luma), that trick is required because after disturbingly climbing on Queen Bee, you get a launch star, which if you use it, you grab the star bits around the launch star, making the normal route impossible, dang it man!

This is really cool. It doesn't seem hard at first but then you think of things like the bee mushroom and how you can't use it. Really nice video.
Also I like it how these sorts of videos like "Beating New Super Mario Bros. without collecting any coins" have become more popular. They're really entertaining!
4:28 the runner amarishiro recently improved his WR and managed to skip both Boo mushrooms via having half of Mario’s body in the wall.
Re watching this video that was uploaded not even 8 months ago, and mayro has gone from aiming for 50k to well past 100k? Keep up the amazing quality and humor Mayro! Cant wait for 150k!

Ghostly galaxy 1 is posible, but hard as hell. Using the clip you mentioned at a different angle, you can clip into the room with luigi and grab the star
