I am am an esthetician with a decade of experience with a small practice. When I watched this and heard you say you never brought any of those devices to your practice, you had my attention. You continued to explain that you were a late adopter and needed to get a better understanding of any device you would bring to your patients and that they must actually work and you don't bring in anything just to make money. This is how I operate, and I can appreciate the integrity when I see it. It seems to be rare these days, so thank you, Dr. Karam.
Finally someone said what I’ve always thought about fillers. They don’t make people look younger, they make people look like old people trying to look younger.
That's a gross generalization. There is a point in life where fillers aren't useful but you can't say all people who have fillers look old, that's just nonsense. Some people get too much or have it poorly applied but when it's done correctly it can make a person look better.
I know someone that get fillers and botox. She can afford it. I saw her once deflated and she looked fifteen years older with lots of wrinkles. She has the money to keep having it done for the rest of her life.
It really depends on who does the procedure be where you have it done. I’ve seen women who had it done very professionally. And it really worked very well.
@@eclectictomboy6873lol, that’s such a lie because it doesn’t work like that at all. You don’t suddenly get “deflated “. Very slowly, the wrinkles start to come back in. you can go back and get them filled or not. Why are all of you people lying about this? Don’t get fillers if you don’t want them but don’t make them into something satanic because they’re not.
❤I'm so glad you are addressing this!! This has been my own observation in the industry that I work. I have seen so many women with skinny, over stripped faces, that have had fat melted, filler added and all signs of life stripped away by resurfacing!! I came to the conclusion that these devices are melting precious fat, and I agree with you! I am also not a lover of Retin A use, or daily, as it too can make skin look placid and like paper. Skin should glow, pores and all, look plump and actually have a tone to it! I prefer glycolics, enzymes, peptides, growth factors, hydration, LED light therapy to rebuild...IPL for sun damage...but too much and you look older than you realize! I was admiring the work a plastic surgeon had done the other day, and thought she looked so great for her 60's....welp, she's not in her 60's and too much will take you into looking 10 plus years older!😮 Treatments aren't always the fix! Watch your posture, hold your phone higher, don't slouch, eat right, cut back on alcohol, go on a walk, exfoliate, use peptides and sunblock and SMILE!!😊
"Myth 4:: Fraxel lasers will not cause you to lose volume. Fraxel stimulates the production of collagen and thickens your skin. It is not penetrative enough to melt fat and cause the aforementioned volume loss. Neither will Fraxel have any negative effects on any filler that you may have in your cheeks to compensate for prior volume loss." - Dr. Solomon board certified plastic surgeon
It depends, my skin looks 10x younger with regular use of retin-a and glycolic acid, have done Co2 lasers a couple times and get regular botox and fillers that nobody ever noticed until I pointed it out myself when they were surprised at my actual age. Just don't overdo it and all these are completely fine.
Sooo true regarding fillers! My fillers are over 10 years old and are still there with an unattractive overfilled look in some areas. Listen to Dr. Karam.
OH MY GOD! Dr. Karam, I swear that's exactly what happened to me, but no one would believe me. The owner of the clinic said I was delusional that I'm aging and I needed more sessions. I, of course, stopped all the procedure, even though the clinic owed me 2 more session. The sad thing is that my skin now looks terrible and very saggy as a result. Unfortunately, I cannot afford a facelift. Thank you so much Dr. Karam.
Which procedure or device that he mentioned did you get ? I listen/follow dr Stefani Kappel on YT and shes used and promotes the hell out of lasers & divices like thermage .
people who are making these comments and deciding against all fillers and all cosmetic surgery, how do you think this doctor makes his money? Do you think he makes it from TH-cam? He is giving you advice on things not to do too much of things to be careful about, but he is not telling you not to get fillers or not to get cosmetic surgery. Not by any means. Don’t put words in his mouth. He makes a living being a cosmetic surgeon.
Ive done lazers and microneedling and have had great results. Im 62 and on a good look like in 45. Everyone's different and you absolutely need a very experienced Dr. and not over do it
@@iwontrespond4039That's so incredibly rude and cruel. You don't know the poster so why would you write such a comment? Is it not possible that "on a good day, she looks 45" (while being 62) is because people tell her so?
He's right. I had facetite, morpheus 8, and sculptra. My plastic surgeon told me it would keep me from needing a facelift for five years. It's been over a year sine I had these procedures, and I feel nothing but regret. The sculptra was overfilled in the lower face, and the facetite and morpheus damaged my skin. My skin sags now, and my neck has become loose. I was assured that I wouldn't lose fat, and I feel I was lied to. These procedures are big money makers.
@@patrak3606 I had facetite over a year ago. I'm in my late-40s, started to get some jowling and had a small pouch under my chin (not a double chin because I'm slim.) Today, I have lost a great deal of fat in my lower face, which looks gaunt and the pouch under my chin is now loose skin that folds when I look down. I'd definitely not recommend facetite unless you're overweight and have a prominent fat pouch under your chin or a double-chin. There's not only NO tightening but it looks horrendous and much worse now. I joke that I spent 1000s of Euros just to see myself age faster! Now I'm considering LanLuma (it's a more advanced form of Sculptra, with proven results because it's a bio-stimulator which works over time to increase one's own collagen and elastin) in order to restore some volume and lift the saggy, crepey skin from the facetite.
@@patrak3606 I was told that the procedure was easy, I'd be awake, and have option of nitrous oxide "laughing gas." For me personally, the procedure was hell. Not so much that it hurt, but there was a lot of crunching as he dug the canula through the area under my chin. Then the canula goes up into the jowl area. I was scared and it was difficult for me. It was much worse than my morpheus8 experience, which, as you know, is no walk in the park. I look older now, and different. I had swelling for a year after facetite.
@@patrak3606I had FaceTite about 2.5 years ago, because my double chin area started dropping, even tho I've never been overweight. It was purely skin laxity. I did not like my profile anymore. They insert a canula into your skin around jawline, neckline etc., and on the outside, there is a heating element that stimulates collagen and liquifies fat. The canula on the inside is sucking away the fat, while the probe on the outside heats and stimulates collagen. I have been really happy with my results, and the double chin has not returned. 🤷♀
You were lied to. Legally, they rely on the manufacturer's statements that it does not cause fat loss, but anecdotally, they have seen it time after time ruin their patients' or clients' faces, necks, arms, and other body parts. They are feeding their greed while believing their last-minute assurances and your signature on pages and pages of "your understanding" that the procedure may not work for you or damage you will protect them from lawsuits. Please warn the public on all social media forums against these unscrupulous practitioners.
You are totally right! When I was 46 y/o I went for a facial to my dermatologist’s office. The estetitian “convinced “ me of having a “skin- Pen ” procedure instead saying that it will help to produce more collagen and bla bla bla… I had a pretty decent skin tone and elasticity at that time. But she sounded to convincing that I let her to do it. Only 2 weeks after the procedure, my face literally melted down! I lost all my subcutaneous fat 😢 I literally looked it like a 90 y/o woman . It is still traumatic to me because even with all the procedure I have had to have my face back, I never could see myself in the mirror again. Since then my life has been a nightmare ( both physical and emotionally) trying to recover my face and my whole identity. I have had 2 fat transfers, fillers, botox, and Venus, and NOThing really worked out. I have spent thousand of dollars 💵 in treatments/ surgeries, and the worst part is that I really loved my face before. It had a heart shaped face and was thin but not old. I looked in my late 30's and never wanted to do more than a facial 😔 My neck also got ruined and it still is. It looks 30 years older than my age. Thank you Dc for being truthful and honest about this topic. You are saving lives!
Thank you for sharing your experience. It takes courage and vulnerability to share that, but you are helping others navigate these tricky waters. I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through.
Many years ago I started seeing a medical dermatologist for melasma and he warned me against going for any form of laser treatments etc because there was a high chance that it would cause scarring on my skin type and/or make the melasma worse. I’m so glad that I took his advice 🙏

Dr. Karam you are an excellent teacher. I agree with everything you said. You left out a few important things which I would like to add. In order to maintain your youthful visage for as long as possible prior to surgery, if you decide to have surgery, you must: 1)Eat a 100% nutritious diet. Stay away from fads and make sure you eat only high quality unprocessed foods. Organic is best. But not organic jelly beans. Avoid all artificial ingredients, and MSG additives. Avoid sugar, and what is worse artificial sugar substitutes. 2)Stay hydrated. But do not drink charged water. It is counter productive. Drink water, simple nut milks, some teas. 3) Stay away from alcohol, smoking, drugs 4) Get a good night's sleep. There is a reason it is called "beauty sleep" 5) exercise moderately and consistently. 6) keep your weight constant Binge and purge, or binge and extreme diet is not good for the same reason inconsistency in skin care is not productive. 7) Stay away from toxic people. Find the joy factor in your life Of course, Dr Karam is 100% correct about sun protection and the use of effective skin products from natural sources, like fruit stem cells, and squalene, etc Then when it is time for a nip and tuck do your research and seek out the services of a top surgeon like Dr. Karam who unfortunately no.longer does a mini facial or just the platysma for slight laxity in jaw and neck area. Having said all that, lots of folks love to eat for fun, do not wear hats in the sun, indulge in things that are not good for their looks, like too much partying, whatever that entails. I love your videos, Dr Karam. I have learned a great deal. Keep informing us. Thank you😊
How do I go about finding a surgeon who uses the same technique as Dr Karam? I would love to have Dr Karam do my surgery but I can’t afford the quoted 100k.
And lastly I know it’s more obvious to myself than others, as my son has always told me how beautiful I am as well as his daddy has, I’ve always just been natural never really worn make up, just mascara etc. Yes I have a pretty smile when I have my teeth and although completely humiliated for anybody to know. I can’t tell anybody I can’t go out to dinner with them because I can’t eat with my teeth it hurts too much I’ve had to put up with so much Idiocracy living in Louisiana, it’s pathetic. I was raised properly and I don’t like drama, I fell I didn’t even have a leg to stand on medically anyway. After watching multiple videos in regards to whether it’s skin care ,healthy foods, Etc. you are the first person who seems so genuine so please if you don’t mind can you give me some advice. Thank you graciously, many blessings to you and your family. Respectfully, Victoria Clair Slowinski 🇬🇧
I have had extremely great results with the judicious use of fillers. Done correctly, i believe can be the addition to my skin care that will keep me away from the knife.
Same here. My doctor is one of the best injectors around. Judicious use is the key. Just one vial in each cheek and around lower jaw makes me look 15 years younger.
0:30: 🔬 Dr. Amir Karem discusses three anti-aging procedures that may actually be aging you. 7:09: 👶 As we age, we lose subcutaneous fat, giving us a more chiseled and contoured look, but some people prefer the plumpness of subcutaneous fat in their 30s. 10:15: 🔥 Repeatedly exposing your skin to heat and deep repair treatments can be harmful and does not prevent skin sagging. 13:10: 💡 Consistency in using daily actives and sun protection is key for maintaining healthy skin. 16:06: 👴 Adding volume to the cheeks and jawline can make the face look older and more aged. 19:07: 💉 Fillers and fat transfers are not effective for treating laxity in the face, surgical procedures are needed for rejuvenation. 3:36-3:51: 😔 Patients who underwent All Therapy, Thermage, or Morpheus 8 treatments reported negative effects such as gauntness, loss of volume, fatigue, and a tired appearance, leading to dissatisfaction and concerns about looking older. Recap by Tammy AI
Your colleague Dr Ivan Wayne here: agree 100% with the energy device problem-patients lose SubQ fat volume and even some dermal volume after being subjected to the heat of the energy devices-that is why we don’t have them in our office.
I do recive radiofrequency since 5/7 years ago, I am in Spain. I really had benefits, my face is not sagging... I am 64yo. I do intake vitamins, i do swim in the sea...
You nailed it Dr. Karam! I got 3 treatments of Laser Genesis to help boost collagen BUT a few months later, I’ve noticed a change on my skin, especially around my cheeks. The areas where I was treated, I’ve lost a lot of volume. I have pictures to prove how I looked 3 months ago (full cheek volume etc.) and how I looked 3-4 months later. Huge difference! Please avoid any laser treatments. Thank you!
The same thing happened to me with Laser Genesis. I got fat transfer, too, and it did nothing. I tried to sue, but it is impossible because you have to get another Dr to confirm not only that the device causes aging, but that you were affected. Every Dr I went to started off saying that lasers can cause fat loss, but as soon as I asked them to write a drs note stating this and that I was affected, they would back off and started back peddling. Some of them started denying that lasers could case fat loss, even though minutes ago they confirmed that they do. Unreal.
I feel your pain. I’ve been going through this the past two years and I’m only 42. I had great skin with full volume prior to the laser treatments and the pain/agony of getting PDO threads, fillers, and fat transfer. None of it helped or last.
Laser Genesis is total rubbish! I had it done about 13 years ago and it totally destroyed my face and it took a long time to resolve. The clinic I went to was owned by a plastic surgeon and the nurses said I needed something like 6 sessions of Laser Genesis to treat 'rosacea'. The first session went fine, but they booked my sessions all 2 weeks apart. On the second session is where I ran into issues. Within days of the second session my whole face began erupting into cystic acne, and I'd never had cystic acne before, just small bumpy hormonal / monthly pimples. This was just the beginning of my nightmare. I got onto the manufacturer of the laser machines and was told by one of their highest ranking consultants that the laser should never have been done on my skin at 2 week intervals and it was explained to me that everything in my skin would have overheated. It's a really long story, so much more to it and I don't want to re-live it by going through it, but I ended up very ill and it took years to resolve. I went with Osmosis Skincare and retin-a and had to be very careful with everything I put into my body. I wish I'd never had that damned laser. I wouldn't wish what I'd endured on anyone. After contacting a few other clinics and finding out one of the staff had a similar experience to me, then reading reviews on various forums, I realized this wasn't just a weird anomaly or ME thing.
Hi! Esthetician here. I have to agree w the heat generating devices, and filler. My favorite treatments are NON rf microneedling for fine lines and Forever Young BBL to keep any discoloration and redness at bay. I get my treatments at a very reputable plastic surgeons office, but even they push Morpheous 8 so hard! My esthy knows I'm an esthy and always asks why I won't do Morpheous and doesnt say much when I tell her I'm not risking losing precious fat. She's also bewildered how I'm in this industry and have never had filler (I'm 51 yrs old) or Botox and still look a good 10 years younger than I am. Botox may eventually come into play, but fillers are an absolute no for me. I also caution my clients against heat generating devices and fillers. Any time I've thought ok, let's try Morpheous this time, but my gut says noooo, and I go w that. I'd rather just get the face lift when the time comes than mess w all the other stuff that I luckily have the knowledge to avoid.
I am a decade ahead of you. Since I was a teenager I knew I had to care for my skin. As I had fair skin, it was not hard to figure out. I can say that I have consistently used the best skincare available to me for ~40 + years. IPLs started in my late 40s. I started Botox about a decade ago. I had one fraxel in 2015, but went back to an annual BBL. That was the same year (2015) that I was reading earning warnings about energy devices. One South Florida surgeon stated he was starting to see significant structural changes in individuals getting RF. I enjoyed my non RJ micro needling treatment in 2019. It give a nice glow before an event a few weeks out. And, no fillers ever. No filler work I saw looked remotely good. Now I will go to surgery. I have waited awhile but I have been fortunate that I naturally look younger. I will share one last comment. A famous hairdresser in the grand tradition said the first face lift is always wonderful. The problems comes with numbers 2, 3, 4…..LOL. But he would know. Maybe this is why I waited. I only want one.
Like the commenter below, why do you think IPLS and BBLs do not cause structural damage? If I had to guess it would be that because they are not true lasers, but rather a broad band of light wavelengths. As such they do not generate enough heat and do not penetrate below the upper layers of the skin. Thank you again for your seasoned professional thoughts and comments.
Thank you Dr Karam for kindly sharing your knowledge with us. I've spent the last 25 years staying out of the sun as much as possible to protect the skin and when having to be in the sun I always wear sunscreen factor 50. I'm now 60 and although I have aged, I actually don't look too bad and I'm able to go about my day without make up and just using skincare. I've listened to your advice and taken it, I have a basic skin care, cleanser and retinol at night and during the day cleanser, vit C, hyaluronic acid, a peptide and moisturiser. It's all working and when I win the lottery, I'm coming to you for a Vertical Restorer!🥰
I'm a 47 year old male and I've had several Ulthera treatments and the results are always amazing. Very nice lifting and firming from it. Perhaps a very small percentage of people get a negative result depending on the practitioner they use or perhaps they aren't great candidate. Don't forget this guy makes his $ by cutting you open...
Really refreshing to hear exactly why things do sound like they are too good to be true and shouldn't be treated as "preventative" procedures for those of us who are still very much in our youth - it scares me how people in their teens already mentally prepare themselves for things like fillers and botox. Glad I found the right dermatologists on TH-cam to get my skincare routine consistent early on!
I think a lot depends on who is doing the procedure. I had both ultherapy and morpheus 8. Ultherapy definitely tightened up my neck. Morpheus 8 did absolutely nothing. But neither aged me. So make sure you go to someone very experienced
I work in the dermatology industry and now more than ever I have realized to love yourself and accept aging as a part of life. In most cases, these procedures do more harm than good and could leave your face worse off than it was and possibly permanently disfigured. That’s why each patient always has to sign all the wavers of the risks and sign away any liability. Unless you have a deformity that you just can’t live with, I would forgo this kind of stuff and any surgery. Taking good care of your skin doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. Now that we are on topic, don’t overspend on skincare. You need a mild cleanser, moisturizer, and spf of 30 or higher and wear sunglasses religiously when out which will help defray crows feet and squinting lines. Each product should cost you no more than 10 bucks and there are really good science backed product lines that are affordable like Good Molecules and The Ordinary.
@@meaghancolman8319 Me too! And more importantly, I respect them for keeping a reasonable price point on their products. There is a 78% national average markup on skincare. The only proven anti-aging topical is prescription Retina-A. These expensive lines in my opinion just promote fluff. There isn’t anything they truly offer that you can’t find equal or better benefits with an economical drug store brand.
True. I'm not a dermatologist, but I've been to various dermatologists who all recommend something different. I am against the frequency with various devices based on the principle of laser and radio frequency because it has been proven that when they are used too often they make the skin older, as well as when the face is exposed to the sun too much or improperly cared for or neglected. Nutrition and fluid intake are also important, as well as quality day and night care, and with all that, lifestyle. It is important to do some sport, I have been doing fitness for many years. The skin needs a lot of antioxidants. I'm not against surgical procedures when, due to poor skin quality or faster aging of the face, one wants to improve the appearance, so this most primitive approach is still actually the best, along with regular prp treatments, which actually only strengthens the skin, because it encourages it to produce more collagen. I also drink hydrolyzed collagen, because it is good for both muscles and skin. I can't say that a surgical procedure with a really reliable surgeon is not a good choice, because I know that one day I will definitely have a complete one. If in the meantime they don't invent a better, non-aggressive method. My skin already looks much younger than my biological age, and for that there are devices that measure your skin age.. 👌🥰
This is obviously your opinion and I respect that. If you use products that cost $10 it’s gonna show. There’s nothing good in a $10 product. Maybe one additive but really after a while you will see that it just isn’t working for your best outcome. When you hit that age where you need more than a $10 product it will be to late to get the results you want because you waited to long to begin treating you face with the additives this doctor has recommended. Some people are fine with growing old gracefully and that is great if it’s your choice. We are all here because we want better. We want to know what works and what does not. I want to look as young as I feel and a $10 product isn’t gonna give me the results I need.

Laser ist actually amazing. Had a few sessions against redness and rosazea in the face also for acne scars. A face lift wouldt help at all with this problems

Great to see this video and read comments. I started fillers in my early 60s. Luckily I have fair skin and have stayed out of the sun and now use sunblock. My neck and hands became sun damaged due to being in vehicles for 6-8 hrs per day (my job) in my early 20s. We didn't even have sun protection then! I have touch up fillers, never more than 2ml total. Decent skincare, sun protection, diet and regular facials and a series of laser skin tightening treatments every year have kept me happy. TBH its all I can afford. As long as I look refreshed and my skin looks clear i am happy. Fortunately the Dr I see for fillers is extremely judicious in her placement of fillers and quite regularly turns away patients who want more fillers to pump up their faces. I know young girls getting their faces pumped with fillers and shopping around for the cheapest operator. Quite frankly, its frightening
Dr Karam, thank you for your honesty, I was going to get some fillers done, and after watching your video, everything you say makes sense, and now I say forget it. Thank you for saving my face!❤
Hahahahaah please speak to another professional before believing him. He is doing this for the plastic surgery industry. As less people are getting facelifts and non surgical treatments instead and loving it. Listen carefully to him. He is trying to scare you on anything non surgical
he never even used rf device before. how can he be so sure of what he thinks the technology can do? i think his wife can benefit from some simple facial exercise so rich can just hire some professional guru tailor made practices but he went and did a v lift for her *face palm. he's a doctor doesnt mean everything he said is true in practical reality. But his skin is nice though. he looks better and at least decades younger than his wife lol
I literally BAILED on two procedures because my gut was telling me that they will melt facial fat - Halo and Morpheus8. I cancelled both procedures because I didn’t understand how they could tighten without affecting facial fat. On top of that, they are expensive and I was not going to pay for something I suspected would cause other problems.
God was looking out for me! I am scheduled for rfm next Tuesday and will now change it to old-school microneedling! Thank you so much for these videos!!!
Facial fat loss is what I’ve always dream of as a man lol. Ive loved all my results from lasers. Compliments abound and I look totally different in a good way
I am 73 years old and do not have any wrinkles. After JAMA report on RENOVA (tretinoin). I have been using it for maybe 20 years. I also use sunscreen everyday I go out. I now use Vitamin C and peptides, carefully so as not to interfere with tretinoin 0.2. BUT….I do have jowls which are somewhat getting less since I lost weight….(5’6”..160 lbs) ALSO, I have under eye bags (hereditary)…I hide with glasses. ALSO, I have serious eyelid dropping, which I use eyelid tape. YIKES!! A LOT of vanity…. But, the sunscreen and consistency of tretinoin are the key. Only wish I could afford Blepharoplasty. Thank you, Dr. Amir Karam Take care everyone.
Awesome! ❤ I’ve never really liked using retinols because they make my face peel. Can you please share when you use your retinol product versus when you use your other products? Thank you. 🙂
@@getitvintage yes, the peeling and “uglies” can be rough. I now use Trentinoin almost every night. I'm so upset about getting radio frequency treatments last year. I'm 58 and totally notice now my face was negatively affected looking and to the touch like I lost volume - I received 10 sessions. Thanks for the ongoing information so we can make better, informed choices.
Thank you for your insightful video discussing the potential aging effects of energy devices in anti-aging treatments. Your perspective on how treatments like Ultherapy, Thermage, radiofrequency microneedling, and Morpheus8 might accelerate the aging process by damaging subcutaneous fat is thought-provoking. However, I'd like to offer some additional viewpoints based on scientific literature for a more nuanced understanding. While your observations about the potential harm of these energy devices are compelling, scientific studies present a more mixed picture. 1. Effect on subcutaneous Fat: You mentioned that these devices could harm subcutaneous fat, likening it to melting butter. However, studies have shown mixed results. Some research indicates that non-invasive skin tightening techniques like radiofrequency can be effective for skin tightening without significant fat loss (Alam et al., 2010; Fabi et al., 2015). On the other hand, there are studies suggesting possible fat reduction as a side effect of some treatments (Brightman et al., 2009). 2. Long-term effects: The claim that these treatments accelerate the aging process is challenging to confirm without long-term studies. Most existing research focuses on short-term effects and suggests that these treatments can be safe and effective for short-term skin tightening. The long-term implications, especially regarding accelerated aging, are less documented. 3. Individual variability: It's important to consider individual variability in response to these treatments. Factors like age, skin type, and specific characteristics of subcutaneous fat can influence outcomes, leading to varied experiences among patients. In conclusion, while your concerns about the potential adverse effects of energy devices on subcutaneous fat and the aging process are based on anecdotal evidence and some studies, there isn't conclusive scientific evidence to fully support these claims. More research, particularly long-term studies, is needed to understand the complete impact of these treatments on the aging process. Thank you for initiating this important discussion and for sharing your experiences and insights.
You have nailed this! I stopped getting fillers due to the reasons you've pointed out - my cheeks being filled made my temples look more hollow than they were, and really just my entire face changed. I had never even heard of anything being put in the jaw, and I never would have even thought I'd need it, but the last injector that I saw convinced me that it would make me look more youthful . I didn't notice a thing until AFTER the filler started to wear off and my jaw no longer looked as defined as it had always been. Still so angry. It's so hard to convince people though bc they truly believe they won't get the same results, they get a tiny bit and love the results, but I don't care who you are, you WON'T continue with only that same tiny bit - people just can not get the results they're looking for, and when they finally realize that, it's too late. Wish I had known this. It's been about a year since I've gotten any injections and although I'm not thrilled with what I'm seeing, my face is starting to look somewhat more natural. My temples don't look freakishly gaunt in comparison to my now deflated cheeks (but I still don't see the same face that I used to) I'm a great candidate for a lift, but I'm petrified (and financially unable at the moment). I'm making due with a tight ponytail for the time being - and now I need a hair loss solution 😂 On a related note: What are your thoughts on exosomes therapy? (I'm going to ask that in a separate comment in case no one has read through my babble 😂)
Ugh. I wrote you a very long reply addressing your issues, but TH-cam refreshes and deleted it. I'm a double board certified dermatopathologist and dermatologist (specialized in cosmetic and surgical dermatology). I can give you advise on how and what procedures that are less expensive to reverse the damage that was done to you (I am so sorry you have to deal with this), skincare maintenance to help improve it, methods of payment and financing for facelifts, and different solutions for hair loss if you'd like. I just don't want to rewrite the entire post if you aren't interested! Let me know, and I'd be happy to pass it along (just remember that any advice given online is not an alternative for seeing an actual medical professional in person!)
@@killbethy I'm sorry that your initial reply disappeared, that's the worst! (When I realize I'm typing a long comment I'll often copy it to my clipboard at various points) That said, if you wouldn't mind too much, I would greatly appreciate your advice! Whenever you find the time to rewrite it, I'll be here to read it 😀 Thank you so much!
@@mesunone I've never heard of Pantogar, I'll look into it, thank you! I actually started using rosemary oil and it's definitely working, I'm surprised at how fast it worked! I still have a lot of hair so I don't *think* it's severe, but it's upsetting to see the hair in my brush as well as my hands just from running my fingers through it
I wanna thank you! A few months before the big 60, I thought I would give myself a facial tune up. The plastic surgeon's office offered a consultation (free) and were big on the energy treatments. I asked about retinols (because of your channel) and asked about fat loss in the face. The girl said 'I can turn up the energy and burn any fat you want away!'... and I recoiled. She was young (under 30).. and most of her patients are in their 30's to 40's.... I thought 'OMG'... they do not know what they are doing to their future selves. I have started the retinols and have been using other actives for decades. I'm going to wait until I need surgery (and decide then if I really need surgery). You saved me from a terrible mistake be presenting the true 'cost' of these procedures.
Dear God, how could they possibly think people want thin, gaunt faces? I hated my full face in my 20s but you'd think a professional of that age would know better!
plenty dr's use these tools. there is some truth to what he's saying. just remember he is in business and pushing his products that support his business. the whole industry is about making money. none of them are out to help us.
Esthetician here, I have a feeling you are right about all the devices that heat way up damaging the fat. Possibly with the right settings it can help but I think that’s very hard for a technician to get right. Not worth the risks.
Fellow esthy and I myself an not sold on RF devices. The place I get my microneedling and IPL is a lovely, very reputable place, but they push Morpheous 8 so hard. When I tell the esthy who does my treatments why I stick w regular microneedling, she doesn't have much to say lol I never recommend those treatments to my clients and even caution them on filler (which I've also steered clear of).
@@sabbycat3848 yeah I think they have to push those treatments hard to try and pay off those expensive machines. I’ve had a few clients come to me saying they had radio frequency and their skin looks worse now 😥 filler can look good in small amounts but so often gets overused and ends up looking strange.
No joke! It definitely doesn't hurt that he's so easy on the eyes!! But I am starting to notice he almost always comes back to recommending surgery... Which I personally cannot ever imagine doing. I just think too risky to cut the whole face off!! Fear of nerve damage and so many possible complications... Just not an option for me.
49 year old from Vancouver, BC here. I've been watching your videos for months receiving what I feel is honest and educational research for future treatments. I tried Forma in my early 40's for laxity around the lower cheeks, and Ultherapy as another desperate option in my late 40's. As you've indicated, my skin isn't even remotely tighter. Sadly though, I finally had a $300 consult with a plastic surgeon in Vancouver and he said that due to where a small pocket of fat is in my cheeks, even a mini lift or complete deep plane face lift wouldn't address this concern. Sigh, $300 to tell me there's no cure for my fat pocket cheeks. So, I guess I'm one of those genetic anomalies where a even a face lift can't correct my problem. By the way, he knew of you and spoke highly of you!
I did ultherapy with 47 for my jawline and neck and a bit of sculptra in my cheeks. I am more than happy with the results. I don't regret anything. My doctor was very informative and realistic about the results. People around my just noticed that I looked fresh and rested just like after holidays.
speaking from the experience of having had at least three of those procedures trying to stave off a full on facelift and he is absolutely spot on because I paid a lot of money time and stress and I didn’t see much difference if any. it’s like throwing money away. However the most disturbing is that I have noticed a flattening and hollowing under my eyes. I hadn’t connected it to past procedures until he mentioned it here. I wish I’d have just gone for the face lift in the first place. especially seeing how beautiful his work is.
It would help to know how old you were when you had the procedures and how old you are now and what those procedures were and if board certified doctors did them or not.
I so appreciate your honesty and integrity--it comes across every video that you make. I can attest to the effectiveness of obsessive sun protection. I started when I was twenty, after reading about this in one of my mother's magazines--almost 50 years ago! All I could find was Coppertone SPF 4, but that's what I used under my makeup, and it started my skin protection journey. Today, at 69, I constantly receive compliments on my youthful skin. Thank you for all the information.
Two follow up questions! 1. How often would you suggest getting a laser treatment? Forever young bbl and moxi. 2. Are red light LED face masks considered radio frequency devices? Thoughts on their effectiveness ?
@@AlastrionaS That's b.s. Lasers are amazing. No one in their right mind thinks that a laser is going to fix your face if you need a face lift. They have a totally different purpose. He's just selling face lifts for a lot of money. At this point he's become a used car salesman in his approach.
100% agree. This doc should be ashamed pretending to be this knight in shining armor saving patients from "skin damage and wasted money" when he's so clearly biased and trash talks every procedure that he doesn't sell/offer in his own clinic. All of his evidence is anecdotal without being backed up by any science whatsoever. Worst of all, dermatologists never claim any of the procedures you've mentioned can replace a facelift should you really need one. You should take them as an example. I’ve become such a student of your videos! By the time I come see you I feel like the consultation will only last 5 minutes!🤣 I truly appreciate the education you bring us!! Thank you!!
Hi, I wanted to share my experience with Morpheous8. I had 2 treatments about 7 weeks apart & I have to tell you that I actually was very pleased with the results. Mind you it was subtle but I had very fat cheeks & jowls setting in. My Skin texture was the most noticeable improvement. Also like you said if it melts fat in my case that was good for me, because of my fat cheeks. I’m 64 & I’m told I look early 50’s. So it’s all contingent on each individual I think.
I have fat-ish lower part of my face that bothers me and was going to get buccle fat removal. I knew that things like morph 8 and that could melt it somewhat, so I'm glad to know that. Really good insight, at least we know what to watch out for and have more info 👍🏽
Thanks, Doc. I’m 52 and so appreciate your insight on these procedures. I’ve had my doubts and dabbled around with treatments hoping for youthful results. Your in depth explanations have reinforced my plan of action: no more wasting money on bs office treatments. I’m putting my hard earned dollars into a piggy bank for what really gives results: restorative surgery. Thank you for all your wonderful educational videos, doc!❤️🙏🏻❤️
Same, apart from microneedling at home, led light mask at home, retinol, vit c, peptides, growth factors and occasional peels, and some Botox, my hard earned cash will be going towards a facelift when the time comes. No wasting time on gimmicks like lasers and fat melting devices
I appreciate your medical opinion on procedures. Good thing am aging gracefully. I started going to a dermatologist early at 18. Have been consistently using sunblock and doing skin care maintenance along with healthy eating. Am 45 but look way younger. Genetics, lifestyle and dermatological care matters a lot. I love doing oxygen facial and diamond peel for years.
As an aesthetician AND laser certified laser tech …thank you, seriously thank you for getting this out there and saying it! Nothing more lovely than beautiful, well care for skin!
Probably because they don't have $100,000 for your service. Or has it gone up. Every woman wants to look younger and beautiful but most of the women here on TH-cam don't have that kind of money that's why we're on TH-cam trying to learn how to do some of these things ourselves and I'm telling you I have seen great changes in some of these women it does work. I know you're a fantastic surgeon and you are very gifted and you make women look beautiful and give them back their life but I'm telling you every time I watch your videos you leave me feeling hopeless because I will never be one of them.
Just make. A plan and follow it even if you don't have a lot of money you can do a lot facial exercises and all the things he tells you not to do just do them carefully thoughtfully with a lot of consideration and research😊
Very true. I actually learned about the bad side effects of RF Microneedling from reading other people's experience in the comments of derm videos, before I ever heard any physician talk about it. Dr. Karam speaks the truth.
Same here. I read about Thermage in the early 2000s and saw some pictures of how peoples’ faces looked like they were starting to melt off. That put me off all of those devices.
Same here. I almost went for my second round of fillers and hoping to do skin laser off some sort but have been dragging it. I’m glad I came upon this video. You’re so honest and the best doctor, Dr Karam. Thank you .
I‘m 73 years old and had three face lifts done between the age of 49 and 65. I‘m very happy with it and I‘m looking younger than I am. I‘m getting Botox for the „eleven“ and the crows feet but I don‘t like fillers at all cause they can migrate as I experienced on my upper lip. I’ve been using a Retinol Cream each evening and an AHA Cream each morning and of course a good sun protection since my 50th birthday.
Thank you so much! I spent a lot of money on Morpheus 8 treatments and the skin on my neck looks much worse after them! I had a nice, moisturized, tense skin before the treatments but I was stupid and naive… I regret it very much! 😢
I relate to what happened to you.I was talked into getting kybella by a trusted dr it not almost killed me but aged me 10 years I am 57 I was mistaken for my early 30s before this I don’t want to leave my house so depressed!this was 2 years ago
I’m so sorry 😢💔 The worst thing is that it can't be undone... I have a slight improvement thanks to massages, using retinol, collagen, castor oil... But it's still much worse than it was before I had these treatments 💔
@@kt9190 I do massages with this oil, then I apply a lot of it (I add some moisturizing cream and retinol) and protect it with a cotton cloth and I keep it for about an hour or two. I see some difference but it has to be done regularly and you have to be patient 🌸
I’m so glad I came across this video! I’m in my mid 40s and have been considering getting a non-surgical eye lift (ultherapy, thermage, or Morpheus 8). After seeing this I’ve definitely changed my mind!! Thank you for sharing this information and saving me and countless others from making these huge mistakes.
It’s so frustrating how I’ve had a lot of these things recommend it to me when I am literally underweight and trying to gain weight . What is wrong with people
Don’t do it!!! I absolutely ruined my under eyes by getting agnus RF. Trying to get rid of my bags.. I now have super wrinkly undereye and the bag is still there.
I found your page because I've been doing a lot of research on these procedures. I'll be 52 in 2.5 months and had cheek filler last year. I absolutely LOVE my result. One side of my face was noticeably larger than the other and it drove me crazy. I had filler and Botox for a little reshaping. The Doctor was great, he took a very minimum approach. I look like myself but with a much better shaped face. I say all this to say, the filler did make me look older eventually. Not incredibly aged or bad, just older. During the consultation with the doctor before any procedures was done, he noted that I was a young looking 50. It's tempting to get a little touch up, but I'm not going yo do anything. I'm in a FB group with people sharing their horror stories about these devices and procedures. I was thinking about a fat transfer but as someone shared, that can make your face spread as you age.
THANK YOU - for all your valuable sharing. And re: skin care, what you say is so true. I have been using active ingredients since I was 30 and I’m 48 now, and people NEVER believe it (including Doctors lol, they double check my chart) Edit: oh and of course SUNSCREEN!! my only regret is not doing the back of my hands earlier. Now I have it in my car console and make sure I apply when driving .
Sorry of Im wrong but I believe leaving sunscreen in a car that retains heat will either lessen its effectiveness and/or can be dangerous to apply to the skin?
Thank you so much for demystifying and debunking these popular procedures that just don't work! I'm gratified to see and hear that my decision NOT to go down these routes like some of my peers because I don't like the look of the results was that right thing to do. Thanks so much for your straightforward and honest approach
If someone has done radio frequency around the eyes and lost the subcutaneous fat under the eye, what would you recommend to correct that, if not fillers? Thanks for such amazing and honest breakdowns! 💜✨ You always hit spot on what i have questions about!!
This will help so many people. Every time I go for Botox the provider pushes threads, morpheus8, fillers. I just tell them I am saving for a face lift and believe those treatments do more bad then good. My girlfriend said the Morpheus pain was excruciating! No thanks. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 😊
💯 agree. Had RF laser and Thermage done and it made me lose so much facial fat! And another worst thing I ever did was Buccal Fat pad removal. Aged my face and I regret it so so bad. I did when I was sin my 30s and now I'm in 50s and it looks awful . And can't put filler there. Huge mistake for me
@@wreamdeaver8931unfortunately I paid more money together fillers:(( and it doesn't even look right. I can't ever have my face back. I look puffy now cuz of fillers. But better than looking gaunt and aged I guess.
sorry to hear that! but also glad that i see this. planning to get this something done to my face cz i have chubby cheeks and makes my face looks wider and big but i also the same time makes me look older.
I have no skin care credentials, no nurse or Doctor No aesthetician but as a lover of skin care and knowledge, I have come to this three point great skincare motto through my experience. I have skin that is at least 15 years younger than my chronological age I get people almost every asking about my skin. I will start to follow you. It’s good to find someone a MD with a like mind about the skin care and anti-aging game!!
I’ve been doing RF microneedling to improve the skin texture of my skin as well as remove scarring from a skin burn and I love the results. I do RF microneedling once a year and love the results. I think it depends on what they’re used for.
This is probably his most accurate video I’ve seen. We don’t even offer energy devices or those frequent laser treatments, even though patients want them. But if we can’t get good before/ after pics, why would we offer it? Lasers do work for acne scars & sun damage, of course, but the really effective lasers have down time
Recently had a RF Needling. What a devastating, massively aging result. I am 59 - always having taken care of my skin, always looking like 15 years younger. No sun light damages, no sagging - just the tendency to dehydration and first fine lines like other women in their 40ies. It’s like a nightmare to have lost my youthful skin within an 1-hour-treatment. I was told that 1 in a 100 might have such an effect and I was the first one they saw aging after the treatment. They told me it would become better than before in about 4 weeks. I would be happy if it would become just like it was before. Still can’t stand my face in the mirror.
That's so distressing for you. Anything with heat is destructive to the fat pads. I read this years ago when they first brought out Ulthera. Horror stories. Darling, try Adipeau face cream. It does restore fat pads. Slowly but surely.
Thanks so much for this video. I’m 57 and relentless with my skin care regimens. I have great skin, but the facial dropping is driving me nuts. I’m going to have to think about a vertical lift for my 60th! You’ve saved me a lot of money on lasers.
Try the Ziip! It’s the best Microcurrent/the safest as some like the Foreo bear(as it’s often faulty) can cause fat loss in the face, but in my experience the Ziip does not
I looked at your website and many of the procedures you say should be avoided are the same procedures advertised in your site. Please explain and/or take a look at your site and update.
I had ultherapy twice I don't think it ages me probably because it was minimal setting ... I do feel like it helps with sagging a little bit... My favorite anti treatments are sculptra, profhilo, microneedling + PRF, I probably look 15 years younger to the western eyes. on top of it I don't eat any processed food, work out, I use active ingredients loads of skinceuticals (but La mer is still my favorite moisturize in the past 20 years)... take supplements..
I had prophilo done once in Asia, I don’t think that is approved by FDA here in the USA. I wish we can get that done here. I love how it makes my skin looks hydrated and glows!
As someone who currently can't afford the downtime of a surgical option, combined with an aversion to filler, something like Ellacor then fat transfer sounds like an appealing option. I also believe not all laser tx & energy devices should be grouped together, when taking into consideration as to who is performing certain tx's & who is receiving. Not everyone can get em & not just anyone should be givin em. Although I do see how the warning must be generalized and agree.
Your time is incredibly precious and the fact that you spend it talking to us is remarkable you're amazing and I thank you SO SO MUCH Its deeply informative and I've come away with the wealth of excellent information. Because of this I have now got the best information for me going forward 👏 I'm particularly interested in fat transfer and you mentioned it right at the very end thankyou I'm 59 and desperately need a vertical restore with fat transfer and now I know exactly where they need to be! Im in Bangkok end of next year for surgery. Im in charge!!!
Facial acupuncture is a good and noninvasive choice for those who want natural and/or maintenance of treatments. It addresses other more subtle issues as well, e.g. health matters which can contribute to appearance so it's a 2-fer method!
I had just started reading about fat loss from Morpheous 8 and facetite last year!. I cancelled my scheduled treatment and looked into a facelift instead. I ended up deciding a facelift & necklift was the way to go but because I have a semi blocked coronary artery, my cardiologist urged me not to risk it. Dang! So I am using your trifecta, sun avoidance, diet and daily exercise to have really great, glowy skin and a fit body for my age (a young age 71) and accepting that I can age and still be beautiful to myself and my hubby. Thank you for all the really great information you provide in your videos. You've kept a lot of people from heartache I'm sure. And your skincare products are like little miracles in bottles.
I’ve never heard that people abused these treatments to tighten skin. I’ve dabbled but only to address acne scars and they have greatly improved my skin texture. Good to know that there is no reason to continue to pursue this to anti age. Thanks!
Obsessed with this channel lately. As a 50-year-old who has had good and bad habits over the years, I can see the various types of aging across my friend group. For some it’s laxity, others texture, and for me especially it’s volume loss (too often told I look tired). More and more, I see that Botox and fillers don’t correct these issues. I’m letting mine wear off, focusing on my skin health and diet, and saving my $ until I can see Dr. Karam.
I love love love your channel💟Esthetician here for 20 years and thank you always for your knowledge about what really causes skin aging; also thank you for detailing why you don't jump on the band wagon of the "latest and greatest" devices that give people false hope about their appearance. I've had High quality radio- frequency and it worked very well- I'm 50 and my skin looks like 35-40- it just has to be done correctly with high quality devices. Also laser helped me to heal my rosacea! It really depends on which kind of laser you use...
Same! I have had RF with microneedling and it makes my skin glow. I’m also having fillers and so far I don’t see any negative effects. I just don’t think I will have a facelift and I need something that helps me to keep as youthful as I can.
This is the first time I'm seeing a video of yours and must say it makes soooo much sense. I'm 61 and i never miss sunscreen. I use a serum which contains 2 to 3 actives (Astaxanthin, Vitamin C, etc) and which is formulated with a penetration enhancer (ethoxydiglycol), & does not contain high molecular weight esters/lipids, so it penetrates the skin better. Additionally I eat a lot of fruits & vegetables. Ive not done any of the procedures you mentioned in over 10 years, and i love how my skin looks at my age! People should understand that sun protection 365 days of the year equals good skin. Thank you for educating us in such an easy way and taking out the time to do so. Much appreciated. Oh and yes, just subscribed to your channel!
I had RF micro needling done about 6 years ago and it was the best thing I’ve ever done for my acne scarring. On one cheek all scarring disappeared and on the other 90% disappeared. However I was 29, so I’m not sure if my age made a difference, but I was lucky to have missed all these awful side effects I’m seeing and hearing about now.
It is the operator of the machine and the parameters they use. I was told that over 2mm depth is risky. I think she used 2, then 1.5 and then 1, for the three layers. The nurse used Infini Genius which does not appear to have a bad reputation unlike Morpheus 8. She is also the regional trainer for this.
@@audreysmob Infini Genius is the name of the machine, is it? I think mine was called Sylfirm X. There were also different settings. For active acne. The doctor said it’s going to be the deepest one - I don’t remember though the exact mm!
@@patchouliheart Yes, it is Infini Genius which is a Korean manufacturer. The needles are insulated meaning safer and the heat generated goes to the depth in the settings. Also, there is impedance feedback. Meaning if there is too much energy generated for that part of the skin, the machine will beep and the operator will reset to another safer setting. Go look it up. Acne scar sufferers need machines like these. They are not all bad. Operator dependent.
Dr Karam which procedures do you take yourself as you seem to be getting younger and younger in the videos ? im the same skin tone so would be useful thanks
Thanks for your videos Dr. Karam. My plastic surgeon told me that the Laser Resurfacing would thigh my skin ... it DIDNOT... on the contrary.. its been almost 3 years and I still haven't recover completely, I still have post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and my skin is extremely sensitive (it wasn't like that before the laser).
@@lesjf8832I've never seen someone that looks good with fillers
I was admiring the work a plastic surgeon had done the other day, and thought she looked so great for her 60's....welp, she's not in her 60's and too much will take you into looking 10 plus years older!😮
Treatments aren't always the fix!
It depends, my skin looks 10x younger with regular use of retin-a and glycolic acid, have done Co2 lasers a couple times and get regular botox and fillers
that nobody ever noticed until I pointed it out myself when they were surprised at my actual age. Just don't overdo it and all these are completely fine.

@sallyhu5028 You are so correct and I'm wrong.I'm sorry
Please talk about co2 ablative
But you didnt do THIS 3??
Lawsuit- medical malpractice

In order to maintain your youthful visage for as long as possible prior to surgery, if you decide to have surgery, you must:
1)Eat a 100% nutritious diet.
3) Stay away from alcohol, smoking, drugs
4) Get a good night's sleep. There is a reason it is called "beauty sleep"
5) exercise moderately and consistently.
6) keep your weight constant
Binge and purge, or binge and extreme diet is not good for the same reason inconsistency in skin care is not productive.
7) Stay away from toxic people. Find the joy factor in your life
Of course, Dr Karam is 100% correct about sun protection and the use of effective skin products from natural sources, like fruit stem cells, and squalene, etc
Then when it is time for a nip and tuck do your research and seek out the services of a top surgeon like Dr.

I have had extremely great results with the judicious use of fillers. Done correctly, i believe can be the addition to my skin care that will keep me away from the knife.

Does this include micro needling for acne scars
Your colleague Dr Ivan Wayne here: agree 100% with the energy device problem-patients lose SubQ fat volume and even some dermal volume after being subjected to the heat of the energy devices-that is why we don’t have them in our office.
Hi does this include microcurrent and red light devices
Hi Dr. Ivan Wayne, glad you are here, What do you think of NeoGen ?
And what about endolift.
Thank you!
Just to add… I had fat transfer done back in January 2023 and I feel like a majority of the fat did not survive. It’s like I’m back at square one.
@@MsGlamourcat - I feel your pain, trust me. I’m still going through it now.
Thank you for your professional advice.
@@anyaamasova6607 Wonderful ! Good Luck on your facelift. I know it will be great; you sound like the type of person who does her research.😃
Thank you for your insight, I’m taking notes! Can you please explain to me more about the Forever Young BBL? Doesn’t it generate heat too?

Where and how much?
I think he also sells the serum. I just need something for under $1000.
His advice has some truth in it but you are right, he wants you to go under the knife. The devices he is talking about underwent clinical trials
What dermatologists on TH-cam do you follow?
What is your skincare routine?
Hey can you share with us the dermatologists you watch on youtube? ❤
I think a lot depends on who is doing the procedure. I had both ultherapy and morpheus 8. Ultherapy definitely tightened up my neck. Morpheus 8 did absolutely nothing. But neither aged me. So make sure you go to someone very experienced
For the neck area or under the chin fatty area is good .. that’s fat u want gone
I LOVE the ordinary.
@@rhondadunn4228untrue for the ordinary products. I switched out my regime for the ordinary products because I lost my job 6months after the ordinary launched. My skin has actually improved. If you personally prefer to send £££ on skincare go ahead, but please don't diminish the affordable brands and their effectiveness.
YES omg, I experienced the same with Morpheus 8, and it was physical torture - hurt so badly I bawled on the table. Cost thousands, aged me, and hurt like a B. Now I’m scheduled for mini facelift as a result at age 42 😤

Consider prf gel filler. It’s basically dervived from your plasma and natural
filler in lips and around (to lift the angles) can be a good option once in a couple of years. especially with more tense texture of the filler

I've had 2 rounds of Ultherapy and am extremely pleased with the results.

I am glad you were able to take away valuable information!
Dear God, how could they possibly think people want thin, gaunt faces? I hated my full face in my 20s but you'd think a professional of that age would know better!
Yep
I had an appointment for tomorrow for face and neck tightening. I just canceled it after watching this.
plenty dr's use these tools. there is some truth to what he's saying. just remember he is in business and pushing his products that support his business. the whole industry is about making money. none of them are out to help us.
Esthetician here, I have a feeling you are right about all the devices that heat way up damaging the fat. Possibly with the right settings it can help but I think that’s very hard for a technician to get right. Not worth the risks.
Yep! Not worth the risk. The best way to make sure you don't damage the fat is to always stay superficial.
@@sabbycat3848so regular microneedling is okay but not with radio frequency? I keep asking this it’s so confusing lol
This is the first one of Dr Karam's videos I've seen. Truly, God gave with both hands to this man. He is brilliant and handsome.
But you look so young! ❣️
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Oh sweetie get second opinion but don’t pay for initial consultation 💕
I believe every thing you said in this video. This is why I haven’t done any of those things.
Have you done regular micro needling

I can confirm on energy devices… Morpheous 8 and Ultherapy totally took away my fat pads and it aged me a lot 😢😢😢😢😢
Ahh so sorry to hear that! Thanks for sharing
thank you Dr. Amir. You saved me from wasting valuable time and money on laser treatments as anti aging solutions.
My pleasure! Thank you for sharing and thank you for watching along.
I would also like to know... I use LED mascara 3x a week, is it harmful?
@@dateerrado No, it is very beneficial. Lots of good research info out there.
Ya ,lm thinking the same thing but dam a lower face lift is $$$$
Same, apart from microneedling at home, led light mask at home, retinol, vit c, peptides, growth factors and occasional peels, and some Botox, my hard earned cash will be going towards a facelift when the time comes. No wasting time on gimmicks like lasers and fat melting devices

Dang! This is the first time I'm seeing a video of yours and must say it makes soooo much sense. I'm 61 and i never miss sunscreen.
