I'm responding to your video over 50 don't ruin your face I do agree that after a certain age or a certain development of Aging only surgery will give people the results they desire however in the beginning of your video you showed pictures of Christie Brinkley and Nicole Kidman and you mentioned how fillers and Botox don't look good on older women however once a woman has had a good facelift I'm 78 and have had one at 47,a 2nd one at 65 and a 3rd at 75 and since I am very rejuvenated fillers and Botox do look good on me so I think you neglected to say that once a woman's face is restored to youthfulness with surgery then Botox and fillers can look good on her at almost any age especially if she's looking in her 30s or 40s
Thanks for sharing very valuable facts. However as already been commented here by others, I'm in the same situation that there's no way I can ever afford to do a full face-lift. 😢 I would like to know, what's your opinion and experience about plasmapen? Could that be useful to tighten up areas under the eyes? Sagging skin. Or could it be helpful to get better looking skin around the chin and mouth area? Where I am bothered by large pores and harsh looking skin around those areas. I am turning 53 in December. I live in Sweden so unfortunately I can't visit your clinic. Thank you in advance for answer!🙏🙀
100% agree that full face rejuvenation at this age is the way to go, but in the US, it's so expensive, and it's possible to delay aging and reverse a LOT just through Microneedling. No procedure that I have done in my life was as helpful as the high-quality derma pen I got for around 100$.
Yeah sure, during the years I have tried almost everything to look younger + delay aging as much as possible, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight), home devices and what not. I swear, Nothing made any real difference compared to microneedling. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm 20's again, but definitely not 44 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less are nonexist (never had jowls though). People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin
At 54 yrs old I’ve taken a very holistic approach. After playing with the thought of fillers and deciding against it, I’ve been doing osteopathic massage with incredible results. Consistency is a MUST and you will see results. It won’t give you the look of a tight “facelift” but it will give you a natural, youthful look along with proper skincare and adequate hydration. The key is to age beautifully as well as gracefully. Who wants to look 20 with a 60 year old body anyway? Aging is inevitable ladies. Love yourself naturally❤
Great, I agreed. I ll look for those massages. There is also a Face Yoga . I have heard great things about it. And beauty is everywhere and every time. ❤
I am a former massage therapist and I went to my clients homes, they were allvery wealthy and had many face lifts starting in their 40's. No matter what people still know a person's age. The best thing I found is healthy foods, don't drink a lot of alcohol, stay active, moisturize, and do facial exercises they work. I also massage my face and drain lymph so it gets rid of puffy eyes and saggy jowls. Be your age and be proud of it!
Michelle Collins facial yoga expert on u tube too I have her book and I am 61 people say I look mid to early 40s ..and I feel it too ..no surgery anything yet ...
I agree about full face rejuvenation... But not everyone has $100K+ to spend. What can be done for those of us who have a limited budget, but still want to look more youthful??
I'm 57 and in my 2nd year of menopause and have noticed changes in my body even though I am in pretty good shape. I have noticed jowels and a heaviness on my eyes etc. As I see women my age getting these procedures done I have been tempted to get a little this or that. One thing that is very noticeable is that when I smile in pictures I look way younger and that is the the answer, for me anyways. I am getting older and will continue to try and stay positive and smile more. Putting stuff into my face makes me nervous , so for now I will just try and smile more 😊
This is 💯true. I'm 55, and I was not ready for what happened to my neck when I hit menopause! I wish women were more prepared for how it affects every system in the body!
Thank you so much for the advice, I will save a ton of money and protect my face from getting worse. Turning 54 and I think I will stick to eating right, exercise and a smart skin care routine plus never go a day without sunscreen. Cheers to growing wiser beautifully ladies 😊
@AHK99. Do you have any advice or hope for those who can't afford you or the vertical lift? I.e.payment plan, etc. Or is your message, essentially if you're over 50 and not rich, it's all over for us in the looks dept. and to just accept it? While I appreciate your message re don't waste your money on botox and fillers, how about hope on payment options or how one might be able to afford it. I.e. 1 yr /3 yr/ 5 yr / plan or something to at least give us some offer of hope. Or show us how the money wasted on fillers, in addition to x amt. Could equate to vertical lift cost almost. I'm 51 and have only had botox, fillers twice in 2 years. I can't afford vertical lift yet, but I also want to be able to have a professional career without ageism and continue to look like myself. Message of possibility if any would be appreciated
@@brandwithani My plan: sleep, meticulous skincare, balanced diet, low impact exercise… and play the lottery so that maybe one day I can afford the vertical restore in 25 years 😂 It’s Dr. Karam’s or no face lift for me…
I fell into the trap of a couple injections of Botox and a little filler but my common sense told me that this wasn’t going to be the long term solution financially or esthetically. So I held out for a face/neck lift at 68. NO regrets!! Worth every cent for me.
I liked how I looked until I was about 47. I’m 52 now. My neck drives me crazy. Would love to have a facelift but gotta win the lotto first. Such good information here. As a single parent, I can’t afford any of this stuff, even Botox but I guess now I don’t feel so bad. Thank you!
Single parent, too. Facelift yoga is very effective for jowls specifically. So is facial acupressure. Jowls are easier to fix. The electronic devices also that he says don't use on the face (and is correct) can and probably should be used on the jowls...like red light therapy. The reason not to on the face is we lose valuable facial fat that holds things in place. But the jowls are different...they are excess that stuff. The exercises (free on TH-cam ) plus acupressure ($19 course I got for facial acupressure) plus a red light/heat device for jowls (100$) is a potent trifecta. However, you probably don't need all three. Start with one.
@@nothingworksworks3511 It's a tradeoff. More efficient to recover from multiple things at once but could be more painful. As long as they're willing to give you good pain control, it might be worth it to get it over with.
My respect for a surgeon who accepts his mistakes and does his research. Thanks for the info. I was trying to figure out what to get done and didn't trried any of those, but yes, I can see changes in all those areas on my face. 🙄
Yes, taking care of skin, I am 62, and my husband actually commented that my complexion looks very youthful! Surgery isn’t for me, will continue to control what I can with diet, exercise and taking care of my skin.
Well thats your journey and good for you, but its not right for everyone. If you are so happy with your appearance, then why are you watching videos like this?
Thanks ! the video came at exactly the right time for me. I'm 60 and have been thinking about non-surgical treatments for a while. everything you say makes sense. Since I consider a full face lift to be too much trauma for my body, I will now get used to my natural aging process 😉
Great advice. I'm 65. Just had (today!) a tweaking procedure of my upper Blepharoplasty, lower Blepharoplasty, brow lift. The procedure was just in my upper lids. More skin needed to be removed. So...9 months ago, I opted for ONLY the upper and lower Blepharoplasty and forehead. No facelift, neck, fat transfer, etc. these are all major procedures absolutely is a great idea to do it all at once. However, I did not want to be anesthetized for all of those hours. I'm grateful I did not do it because just the forehead and eyelids plus I had a ptosis repair in my eyelids, which is the muscle that not everybody needs correcting. I did need it. Seems to be some genetic thing in my family. Plus, I cannot afford to do all of that. And my face does not look funny. My eyelids were quite droopy, and it was affecting my vision, so there were other reasons for doing it. I just don't want women to feel like they have to do the entire thing although of course, it makes sense. I wouldn't just do my neck and not do the facelift.
Dr. I thank you for providing such thorough and accurate information. I am 55 years old and for years I went on the search for a surgeon to do my facelift. My options narrowed down to two ..you and another surgeon in my city. My hubby and I opted for our local surgeon for obvious reasons -aside from the fact that he’s an excellent surgeon that also specializes in face surgery. I had my surgery 14 weeks ago and I am beyond happy with my results. He did exactly what you mentioned. My point is that you are 💯CORRECT and on point with all the information that you provide and your approach to facial rejuvenation.👌🏼 Thank you for sharing your expertise. 🥰 Your work is exquisite.
Today is my 61st birthday. My hair is quickly turning white. My throat has two tiny longitudinal sags from chin to collar bone that I only see in pictures. I'm okay with it. I was close to all 4 grandparents. Their white hair and wrinkles were beautiful. So are mine.
This procedure is my dream. When I look in the mirror I am disgusted at my melting face, makeup looks awful on me as it just enhances the wrinkles and gaunt look I now have. It would be so nice to feel normal again. Great work Doctor..
I am 53 .. I look just fine the way I am never had any procedure. And no plans . Don’t smoke, drink and watch ur sun exposure .. it keep your skin young
I'm 69 years YOUNG. That means that I value my beauty; natural beauty. I never had botox or fillers. About year ago I had a facelift and I'm VERY pleased with the results this is why I know this surgeon is honest and very professional and I highly appreciate his recommendations. I just wish he was in my area.
I have stayed out of the sun all of my life. I am 70 no wrinkles, don't put sunscreen on every day either. Lifestyle is key, don't drink, don't smoke avoid the sun will put sunscreen on in the summer, but I live in Canada.
@@northofyou33 if your knees or heart bother you, you have no problem wanting surgery. Or you can just die from heart failure or be in a wheel chair because your knees aren't working. Same principal different parts.
The doctor is correct! 18 months ago a had the full Monty. Brow, face and neck lift (upper bleth 10 yrs ago). That’s the only real solution to get a lasting youthful rejuvenation.
I cannot tell you how much I love your videos. I’m in my early 40s and I feel like I have learned so much about what and what not to do as I go forward. You just seem so honest and trustworthy. It’s really appreciated 🙏🏻❤
I’m 49 and see the aging process progressing faster now (jaw&neck). I was very lucky so far and only had botox every now and then. THANK YOU so much for this honest analysis. I’m gonna safe the money for a real lift!
Im 65 and have never done anything to my face. Now is the time, and i have made the decision to go have the procedures mentioned in this video. This and other videos from Dr Karam has given me great insight on how to move forward with my own surgeon in SA Also advising the do's and dont's which i greatly appreciate. I thank him for the time taken.
Oh well what's the point in watching any more of his videos if the over 50s only way to look younger is a face lift. I will just keep microneedling, chemical peel and skincare. There is no way that most of his followers can afford a face lift. I have enjoyed his videos but for me now I'm going to stick with Dr Rajani he is very very helpful for the older person 👌❤️
@@paulinemclean375 The average cost of a facelift in the United States is $8,005 according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, but can be much higher than this … May 29, 2023
I 100% agree with what you are saying - I’m a 55 year old female - I’m completely sold and contacted your practice very excited thinking I can look 10 years younger however 100k is way over my budget. So it seems only the people who have 100k spare can afford the vertical restore. As a single mum of 3 children it’s difficult for me to have that surplus cash. Your videos and knowledge are amazing and confirm to me that I only want to have you Dr Karam and do not want to go anywhere else for this type of surgery. What can the 90% of your viewers do to look like the people who can afford your procedure ? Surely you have packages or some type of plan for the rest of us. You mentioned you average 20-30 patients per month and if we average this out over 12 months this equals approximately 30 million per year in vertical restore sales which is incredible and you deserve very penny for the happiness you make to peoples lives. I want to feel this too and look 10 yeas younger 😃 thank you 🙏 you have done an amazing job and we are all convinced you are the best so now what do we do??? Thanks you Ellen, Manchester, England
I agree I really want to do something but $100000. Look at all those 0000's. I have too many other things that I need to use that kind of money for . So please what can someone that maybe could do $10000 + $30000?? I patiently await a response
100k!!! Really? It is barely possibly for people to save 10k because of the cost of living. 100k would never be feasible, for the majority of people I'm sure.
I am sixty and I look great. Letting my natural grays come out. I workout and always have since age 25. I’ve never smoked, drank, done drugs or partied. I eat pretty healthy. People tell me I look younger. I don’t really care anymore. I’ve embraced who I am and I am happy to be aging. Here’s a tip…FAST. I do often and did a four day fast. Read up about it. On the fourth day, there’s hormone growth recovery. Fifth day, cell rejuvenation. Start fasting. Drink water. Exercise. Eat healthy foods with omega 3 oils. Sleep. Don’t stress about life. Enjoy the outdoors. I truly believe fasting is where it’s at.
Hi there. I'm 58 and discussed getting filler and botox with my 33 year old daughter yesterday. She loves these treatments and she always looks great. I was tempted to try it in an attempt to look younger too. I am so grateful for your video, as everything you have said makes complete sense to my logical mind. A big thank you from Swansea, UK. The city by the sea 😊
Why isn’t anyone commenting on accepting aging or the emotional and mental suffering imposed on women by our culture’s obsession with youth and beauty? I’m 59. I’d rather spend my money enjoying life. Id rather spend my time meditating on self love. The time, energy, and money spent and the pain endured, especially by women, makes me so sad. I wish you all happiness and full hearts wrinkles and all. You don’t need to look youthful to be (and look) joyful. ❤️
Good for you. However, you can't force your feelings and beliefs on others. Just let women do what makes them happy. What works for you won't work for everyone. Hope this helps!
you don't need to, but if you want to, why not. nobody is telling you to get work done, but you feel the need to lecture others. you do you and move on.
People lie to themselves. We are all aging fact. The sad thing it becomes an addiction. And what happens with your 20 year old face and 80 year old body. Mmmmmmmm
Because this is directed to people that would like this kind of treatment. If you are so fond of natural aging why are you watching this to begin with.
I am 53 and I've never done any cosmetic procedure even people think I am in my early 40s, I was thinking of doing something cosmetic procedure but after this video, I'm not gonna do anything thank you for your advice after 50 years. Be peaceful, take care of your daily habits, sleep well, don't drink, do no drugs, moisturize, take sun properly, hydrate, and be your age, Be happy yourself!
Appreciate the instructions. As a 76 year old, retired RN I have always wondered about the long-term results vs. benefits of "partial technics ". Thank you, for being honorable with Ethics. Blessings, and prayers. Continue to help men and women. Teach you Innervative techniques to worthy "Fellows ".
I appreciate your honesty because you probably just saved me some money. Everyone is complaining about how that can't afford the full facial approach, but that's not your target audience anyway!
I have a little micro-current gua sha ($35) and it really did favors to my skin. Best results when you use it daily, but I just add the 5 minutes it takes to my morning routine (I use it with serum)
Scarlett RF was AWESOME for me. I started to notice a bit of Jowls and first treatment was AmAZING ! I paid for 3 at my hair salon that have a med spa. I felt no pain after the numbing. Just a bit of heat in the more sensitive area by my mouth but really no big deal. I experienced tightening. I was very pleased.
I’m 55 & get Scarlet RF 3 times a year. It has changed my face for the better. No fat loss for me and I’m a fairly thin person. A nurse does my treatments & she doesn’t go deep. I also use an LED mask daily & love it.
Agree with you so much. Vertical restore seems to be the solution after 50 years. But you know, it's not all the ladies who can afford this surgery. If plastic surgeons can adjust their prices, you are going to have much a lots of requests for this. But now, if all these people are close of their retirement they have to think wisely of their finances. At more then sixty years old, you should propose something for this specific clients. It can be interesting.
@@mauramcloughlin4575Usually the doctor has a plan whereby it’s a payment plan with zero interest if each payment is in time. And then an interest rate is charged if you’re late.
Would you walk into Tiffany’s and demand/ask for Zale’s pricing? Very few people can afford to purchase everything/anything they desire. That means we simply don’t purchase those things - it doesn’t mean pricing for those products and services should be reduced.
Th best thing I have found that helps my 56 year old skin is when I started drinking lots of water and incorporating fresh spinach and kale in my morning and evening smoothies along with morninga powder, sea kelp powder and turmeric. I had a complete hysterectomy in my late 40’s so I really had to up my skincare routine with good products and CONSISTENCY in cleaning my skin 2 times a day, especially at bedtime!
This is literally across-the-board. The best video I have ever seen on TH-cam! So full of information so clear so concise I can’t say enough good things about this video. Thank you so so so so so much.
I agree! I’m probably going to have my last cheek fillers and Botox done. I know the next steps are gonna have to be surgical. I really appreciate what Dr Karan is putting out there. No one is explaining the real situations for what comes next for women over 50.
You are very well placed. The truth is that i had some problems, but with your advice, since I have been treating my face properly, the problem has been significanty reduced. You save me. I am 54 and look 40.For now i dont need surgery. Thank you very much. 😊😊😊😊😊
I’m 59. What he says about menopause is spot on. I’ve always looked extremely young. As a teenager, people thought I was under 10! Painful as a child but FANTASTIC as an adult. YET…. Menopause has come..thankfully, I’m happy & mature enough to see the beauty in women who do a little but not too much, or none at all…. I look in the mirror or see pictures & don’t even recognize myself🤣 The vertical restore would be great but how long before you again look exactly your true age again??
Get on bioidentical hormones as soon as you go through menopause, I did and I noticed the difference right away. I hit menopause like I ran into a wall. Sudden hot flashes, memory fog, lack of energy, and I noticed my lips thinning out and a change to my skin. After 2 weeks of being on the hormones my lips plumped back up and my skin looked noticeably better. If menopause is the cause of a sagging face that should be the first place you start.
@@alejandragarza2670I was never asked about the cancer risks when I went on them. Personally, I don't care, the symptoms I had with menopause were so debilitating I'd rather take that risk.
Plant based ones work..I'm vegan so I have a phyto oestrogen rich diet and i supplemented with wild yam, red clover, black cohosh etc.. face yoga everyday twice a day for a minimum of 15mins each time and washing cleansing and moisturisation. Rehydrate and just relax intl being the beautiful you you're supposed to be. ❤
There is absolutely no reason why plant based identical cannot be taken even with a history of cancer.. the thing cancer loves most is processed Sugar and Dairy.. neither of which are found in plants..your Dr knows nothing about bioidentical options so steer you away from.them. my sister in law had uterine cancer and a Dr luckily that did know and put her on them and she thrived. Your Dr's don't always know what's right .. they're paid to push drugs for Big P.
❤ thank you so much. You have not sold out. I'm 57 and see the changes. Although I look a lot younger than my age I realize I may need surgery to look like my younger self.
Tape it - I use any 'male gay' technique I can find - just not as over-the-top as gay performers do! I think it's sort of fun to use little things like that - it seems to work and if I have fun with it, then I think it's ok! Judge not, lest you be judged. (Wow, I did learn something in that fundamentalist church I grew up in the South!
What I find shocking is that women in their 20s and 30s are having so much work done they look ridiculous with fillers. I was looking for a video and was hoping to find tips for skin treatments but I’m glad I found this. No I don’t want a list of procedures.
At 67 I am stil working and feeling healthy though sometime feel lousy because of age, human cannot escape these makes yourself busy and useful you will feel being rejuvenated.⚘😍
I can't thank you enough for the in-depth details you always give. I wish I could afford to have you do a vertical restore on me but unfortunately I don't know if that would ever happen unless I hit the lottery, lol. I guess I am going to have to continue doing my skin care and hope for the best. Although, the minute I hit the lottery you will be one of the 1st 7 people I call. 🙏🏼💕
There is only one you dr Karam, I did not have to do any research and compare because I knew this from the very first time I listened to your explanations. This is so informative and validating.
I absolutely agree.. I was a medical aesthetician for 15 years and had my own clinic for 10. I recognised that once our patients were over 50 .. nothing really worked.. yes we could get great results on the surface with peels, laser and HydraFacial treatments. But I was never convinced with the injectables and heat devices.. and we moved more into skin health before I retired..To hear this is great because I was ridicules often by reps, and peers but I stuck to my gut!
Thank you for your honesty. The best information as I’ve just hit 50 and my neck is the first place that is showing aging, now I understand the overall picture ❤
This video was so informative I can totally relate to everything you have said. I am 60 years old and yes fillers and Botox do not work like they used to. My eyes are my problem with puffiness I think caused by filler. I now have facial treatments like HIFU, cold plasma but still doesn’t make me feel any better in fact I feel like I look worse 😢. I wished I could afford a face lift but also finding a surgeon is very difficult one you can trust. Thank you so much Dr Karam very informative .
@@chem3066 so you mean lasers can sort of thicken or strengthen the neck skin or what areas and in what sense is it able to help? I’m a complete novice. Thanks
Thank you for being so honest. I admire you for your courage and admitting your mistakes. Sounds that you genuinely care about your patients and want to give them the best service possible.
I disagree about caring:if he cares his prices will be much lower and available for more ppl.Just talking and then charging that much tells me No he does not care about ppl only about money.Otherwise would be much cheaper.
This actually makes alot of sense. And new info out on filler and cancer.. lymph nodes are affected and cant do their job is what ive read. Thats bad. I am done with filler. Going to age gracefully.
The Filler and cancer risk is a sensational tweak on the data. The most risky area to effect the lymph is probably under the eye. Swelling would be you biggest issue. This will not cause cancer. That is a ludicrous claim. I keep seeing it posted and hate that it may scare women who have filler already. Filler is a great tool to replace volume that we lose with age.
Filler doesnt give you cancer but having your lymph disrupted or blocked can lead to various troubles. Ive had filler in the past. It'll be Sculptra for me next time..
Thank you for being truthful. I just had my neck, jowls, and upper eyes done. Recovering nicely. My husband claims he doesn’t see any big improvement. I told him that he isn’t supposed to. I see it
Wow! Love this video!!! Dr.Karam addressed so many topics. Knowledge is power! He takes so much time and effort to make us aware of many pitfalls that come with cosmetic proedures. My dermatologist has definitely adjusted (lowered) my Botox over the years. Im almost 60. I was disappointed at first because it doesn’t seem to last as long or to provide as much softening.… now I realize more isn’t better. I had fillers placed over the years; but agin my derm was very very conservative (subtle) with filler placement and tiny amts over several treatments, over time. I feel fortunate to have found a provider with a good eye for aesthetics. Yep, threads were painful and not worth it (different provider) … my one big regret as well as filler in NLF (also not above provider) Bottom line find a provider you trust that understands faces over 50. 😊
I got PDO threads and they gave me puffy jowls that hang below my jawline lopsided! Didn't have that before! Made me look like a grandma! Aged me by 20 years, don't do it!!!!!

Completely agree with you. I am a neurologist headache specialist and I have trouble injecting our protocol in older patients and I tell them to go higher ( in my case I want to get the nerve endings). Thank you for your video.
The correct diet, correct supplements, facial treatments early ideal to start in the 30s, Love M-8 and keeping up with daily facial exercises, makes a world of difference for aging. Face lifts are great but time consuming and MUST continue to be followed with facial treatments because after 50 the face will continue to age AFTER the wonderful face lift.

Thanks for sharing! I am an esthetician and agree with all of this! When I tell my collegues the truth about microneedling with RF, I get that look like I don't know what I'm talking about. I will never offer microneedling with RF, I get great results on the skin with traditional microneedling.
Even before he got to the vertical restore part i just knew he was going to say vertical restore is the only solution. lol i am sorry to say that these photos are not a good representation of before and after results. The after results are half achieved by someone fully awake, showered , hair done , make - up applied. apart from 2 ladies all the others just look like they had a good facial, had their hair and make up done and the photo turned out well. I am 54, i know what i am talking about. The only one thing i always agree with him is ,regular skin care routine plays a huge part in facial skin aging. I use Omilux Led Mask few times a week, vitamin C in the morning and or Niacinamide. I use very low strength Tretinoin 3 nights a week . I get amazing results, but you have to be consistent, i f i miss a week i feel like i have aged 8 years, so if you are time rich and money poor then do this, if you are time poor and money rich then go and see Dr, Karam .
@nabeilamehrban8412- Fully agree with your "before" "after" comment. NOT a huge difference except perhaps the last one. I am PETRIFIED about the PROCESS (never mind the cost which is another conversation on its own). I dont think I have the capacity to wake up & see my face disfigured. I am also afraid of not recognizing myself "after" all is settled. Doctors are also humans. What if (insert any possibility here) comes to my mind. I have done botox, stopped fillers (can't stand them now) and do my best with serums, etc. I dont think these pictures motivate me to do ANY Surgery.. they make me fee its not worth it !
I agree 1000% with everything you have said, and in fact do all of the things you mentioned. I would also add micro-needling every 3-4 weeks for face and neck using hyaluronic serum. Brilliant !!!
The truth is if youre 50, you will not look 20 ever again. And thats ok. If you choose to get cosmetic procedures manage your expectations. Less is better. Most importantly, nourish yout mind body and soul. Be happy.
Wow! Dr. karam … I am in awe of your incredible & knowledgeable information … you have an amazingly superb & easy to understand manner with your explanations & expertise… I would love to have my cosmetic work procedures carried out by you … 😊
This makes so much sense. By breaking down what happens to each section of the face, I have a clearer picture of what is happening to me. It is a mental process when aging and your explanation calms my focus on certain sections of my face. The big picture is what really matters.
I love this video!🥰 Dr Karam's honesty is honorable to say the least. He knows that the majority of people who follow him on this channel will probably never be able to afford a Vertical Restore procedure but he still gives his time for free to educate us on how to get the best look from our aging skin. I've benefitted so much from Dr Karam's advice and want to really thank him for his kindness and his wisdom!🙏🙏🙏
Real prices.. Vertical restore 85k Fat transfer 40k, very expensive.. hopefully other great Drs put some healthy competition in this market so in a few year's this will be in line with breast implant cost.✨️
Greed. Those prices are indefensible. But it appears there are people able and willing to pay those exorbitant fees, and surgeons can maintain their lifestyles while working on far fewer patients…
Doctors in NY & CA are twice if not more expensive than Chicago or your local surgeons Do your research on the Doctor and their reviews and see if they have any lawsuits against them too. Decide wisely. If you opt for out then f town surgeons know that they have accommodations for your recovery before they release you. Which is fantastic.
I don't think it's fair to assume the prices are indefensible or based in greed. When you consider the rents or mortgages/property taxes of these surgeon's offices in areas like NYC and CA, the salaries of their staff in those areas, the cost of purchasing and maintaining their equipment, cost of utilities, the cost of advertising in these markets, the cost of paying down med school, the cost of ongoing training to keep on top of the latest techniques and, for innovative surgeons, the cost of developing those techniques, the cost of malpractice insurance - even for surgeons who've never once been sued - is astronomical, the costs of the anesthesiologist, the anesthesia, and the OR, which are all beyond the surgeon's control, not to mention compensating for the incredibly restrictive impacts of the SALT cap on these areas, while these price tags are also insanely prohibitive to me, I'm surprised the cost isn't higher. I know how much the bill was for my breast reduction YEARS ago, and that was only the cost AFTER insurance, since that procedure was medically necessary, not cosmetic. My surgeon had offices and hospital privileges in both Manhattan and North Jersey. I had the procedure in NJ, but had I had exactly the same procedure with the same surgeon less than 10 miles away in NYC, I know for a fact that my out of pocket cost would have more than doubled. You simply can't compare surgery costs in CA or NYC to ANYWHERE else in the country and judge them as indefensible for being significantly higher. Their business' operating costs are insanely higher, so naturally, that's reflected in the price tags for these procedures.
It all makes total sense. Especially the piecemealing. I'm so grateful to know that my main problem area (1 deep long line between my brows) can continue to be treated. I'm 51 & have only treated that 1 line. I'm a frowner & the relief I get physically & emotionally is wonderful ✨
He is getting on my nerves ,,, literally nothing in this world works for him ,,, only his surgeries in his opinion ,,, he definitely is advertising his practice with every breath and word coming through his mouth , bashing someone else’s work . Let’s don’t forget , only his products work LOL … Really??????
I am almost 53 and NO WORK DONE. I work in skincare and cosmetics as well. I tell my Customers it's all about SUNSCREEN, RETINOL, (at night, just a few days a week) Vitamin C, Collegen in your coffee protein drink each morning and DRINK WATER ALL DAY! I have almost NO WRINKLES and people almost PASS OUT when I tell them my age, ( which doesn't bother me a BIT). Women need to STOP APOLOGIZING FOR NATURE. Men don't APOLOGIZE, WHY SHOULD WE???? 😉😁🙃🙂😉
I am 68. I accidentally used the retinol cream I bought at Costco. I have used it for nearly 20 years, and it stopped for about five years. Now, I was back on Retinol about six months ago. People thought I was in my 40s to 50s, and I am very proud because I know hard work did pay off
I’m 54. My beautician persuaded me to do thermal tightening, but my skin started drying out and looked worse after few treatments, and my face looked more gaunt. It took 6 months approx after stopping to recover my old skin look
So basically I should have been getting all these face treatments when my skin was already young, smooth and taut and now that I’m in my 50’s it’s surgery or nothing!? Guess I’m joining the GOG (grow old gracefully) Club 😄
Haha strange isn’t it? To each his ow, but I am amazed to see how many people get a facelift in their 40s, that seems too young. I’ve been enjoying these videos lately because they actually encourage me to age gracefully. It’s sad to see women willing to go broke just to look younger, and in Hollywood’s case, to look like the Joker.
I’m 54. Last fall, I had Botox for my 11’s and some in my forehead. What you described with the heavy feeling in my eyelids happened 100%! It was awful. I couldn’t wait for it to fade away. I am now hesitant to get botox again, but maybe I’ll just ask for nothing in my forehead (I only have mild lines…it’s my 11’a that are deep) Thanks for the info and the tip!
Thank you so much your wonderful information. I’m from Turkey. I will go to my dermatologist next Wednesday and tell her what I want. I’m 57 year old. Thank you again.
At 61 I only now believe I need a touchup, I used retinol for years and it did the work but no longer. But who can afford the surgery? It’s great to give all this info but the reality is there really is no help for most of us.
Born 1955, choose to look old, over looking Odd as some do with trying to stay young. Sagging is part of life. Unless I win 💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸 will age with Grace. 😊😊😊😊
I see the benefits of this approach. and would do it if I had the means and time. However, the little tweaks I've done over 50 look natural and have helped me feel better about my appearance Thank you for sharing your expertise and knowledge. The before and after photos are just remarkable.

No joke
Don't you think of visiting UK for surgeries
Can woman just get te equivalent of trt but with female hormones
Thanks for sharing very valuable facts.
However as already been commented here by others, I'm in the same situation that there's no way I can ever afford to do a full face-lift. 😢
I would like to know, what's your opinion and experience about plasmapen?
What dermapen did you get?
Could you tell us which derma pen you used please ? and can you please explain how did it help and why? Thanks for the comment by the way!
THANK YOU! And the name of the pen?

At 54 yrs old I’ve taken a very holistic approach. After playing with the thought of fillers and deciding against it, I’ve been doing osteopathic massage with incredible results. Consistency is a MUST and you will see results. It won’t give you the look of a tight “facelift” but it will give you a natural, youthful look along with proper skincare and adequate hydration. The key is to age beautifully as well as gracefully. Who wants to look 20 with a 60 year old body anyway? Aging is inevitable ladies. Love yourself naturally❤
I like this! Thank you!❤
😘😘🤗🤗🇨🇦
Great, I agreed. I ll look for those massages. There is also a Face Yoga . I have heard great things about it.
And beauty is everywhere and every time. ❤
@jannethandrade71 which face yoga exactly please, thnx?
Any particular resource re the osteopathic facial massage please? TY
What exercise do you do for your jowls please?
Amen, I agree I'm over 60 and I do these things you mentioned. I look about 15 years younger.
Blessings my beautiful Sister in Chrust,
What area do u message to get rid of puffy eyes
I don’t need to depuff I need to puff 😂 I lost a little weight and my face says and hollows 😢
THIS!!!
The only place in the world where a facelift would cost $100,000 is the US.
Exactly I really lose faith in humanity with these prices. Only the elite can afford him. It’s a shame.
Go to Mexico! There is amazing drs out there.. you have to do your research like anywhere else, but facelifts are like 10,000
Not a whole lot can be done without surgery
I'm 57 and in my 2nd year of menopause and have noticed changes in my body even though I am in pretty good shape. I have noticed jowels and a heaviness on my eyes etc. As I see women my age getting these procedures done I have been tempted to get a little this or that. One thing that is very noticeable is that when I smile in pictures I look way younger and that is the the answer, for me anyways. I am getting older and will continue to try and stay positive and smile more. Putting stuff into my face makes me nervous , so for now I will just try and smile more 😊
Yes, when I smile my face looks its best. There’s a lot to smile about as we age…SMILE!😊
Did you receive a reply...?
Nothing more beautiful than a smile and a good personality with character and style
I had a face, neck & lip lift 2 yrs ago at 53. Depending on where you live, it's not as expensive as one thinks.
After menopause everything changes....and not for the better. From skin texture to hair. And everything in between..
Get on BHRT, eat clean, sleep well, exercise and love yourself no matter what and you will age gracefully
There's nothing graceful about aging.
How do you do on the BHRT? I need to get on that.
@@kiajulian4619 that is the most honest comment on this thread.
@@kiajulian4619 a face full of Botox and not accepting life certainly isn’t graceful

@@lolik73 what is BHRT?
This is 💯true. I'm 55, and I was not ready for what happened to my neck when I hit menopause! I wish women were more prepared for how it affects every system in the body!
Thank you so much for the advice, I will save a ton of money and protect my face from getting worse. Turning 54 and I think I will stick to eating right, exercise and a smart skin care routine plus never go a day without sunscreen.
Cheers to growing wiser beautifully ladies 😊
When I saw his prices, I knew I would never be able to afford to have a facelift 😢
Keep it up!
@@brandwithani that’s how I feel, I’ll be working for probably the rest of my life and definitely want to be able to keep a youthful appearance
@@brandwithani My plan: sleep, meticulous skincare, balanced diet, low impact exercise… and play the lottery so that maybe one day I can afford the vertical restore in 25 years 😂
It’s Dr. Karam’s or no face lift for me…
I fell into the trap of a couple injections of Botox and a little filler but my common sense told me that this wasn’t going to be the long term solution financially or esthetically. So I held out for a face/neck lift at 68. NO regrets!! Worth every cent for me.
@@loucollins6367 oh yes, by then go for it
I liked how I looked until I was about 47.
Price is the reason for piecemeal procedures.
EXACTLY!!!!
And downtime! What kind of painkillers would you want w all those procedures at once?
@@nothingworksworks3511 It's a tradeoff. More efficient to recover from multiple things at once but could be more painful. As long as they're willing to give you good pain control, it might be worth it to get it over with.
@@nothingworksworks3511you can get by with just Tylenol. It’s not fun but it’s possible. Norco or Percocet if you want something stronger
What do you use
Well thats your journey and good for you, but its not right for everyone. If you are so happy with your appearance, then why are you watching videos like this?
Very good keep up the good work 👍
Thanks ! the video came at exactly the right time for me. I'm 60 and have been thinking about non-surgical treatments for a while. everything you say makes sense. Since I consider a full face lift to be too much trauma for my body, I will now get used to my natural aging process 😉
We can still do Botox tx for glabellar, outer brow etc - just need a good practitioner and the patient needs to have realistic expectations.
I just hit 55 and I'm not even considering any alterations to my face. ❤I live a predominately natural lifestyle with organic food and skincare. 😊
Awesome good for you!!
Not only is Dr. Karam a very talented and skilled surgeon, but a fantastic teacher as well!!!
Bravo Dr. Karam 👏👏👏- FANTASTIC VIDEO!!! THANKS!!!
Thank you so much!!
Agree. Thank you Dr. Karam.
Where's the doctor located?
👍👍

I 100% agree with what you are saying -
I’m a 55 year old female - I’m completely sold and contacted your practice very excited thinking I can look 10 years younger however 100k is way over my budget.

But now, if all these people are close of their retirement they have to think wisely of their finances. At more then sixty years old, you should propose something for this specific clients. It can be interesting.
💯
Oh I do agree payment plans tailored to the clients would be an amazing option I’m saving and saving but as time goes by ?
Yes!!
What did you do?
Exactly what he says. How should we apply the creams. I am not referring to companies but to ingredients. So that there is no misunderstanding
I look in the mirror or see pictures & don’t even recognize myself🤣
The vertical restore would be great but how long before you again look exactly your true age again??
You may need 👓 glasses
Get on bioidentical hormones as soon as you go through menopause, I did and I noticed the difference right away. I hit menopause like I ran into a wall. Sudden hot flashes, memory fog, lack of energy, and I noticed my lips thinning out and a change to my skin. After 2 weeks of being on the hormones my lips plumped back up and my skin looked noticeably better. If menopause is the cause of a sagging face that should be the first place you start.
This hormones can not be used if you have a history of cancer in your family. Unfortunately
My doctor refused to let me go on those. She said they caused heart attacks and strokes. 😢
Really happy I had a 1/2 (top of ears down) face lift at 56. It saved me from all the filler problems and heating on face, etc. Thank you
Please, please, please do a video on BEST txs for over 50. Lasers, peels etc etc…😊😊😊
I’ve learnt the hard way - Aging is a blessing 🙏

I hope this video goes viral. Women need to know this!!!
Men too.
Please doctor tell us what to do with the aging neck. We would like to watch a video advice from you about this. ❤

@julsa... Absolutely

Good for you 👍
Spf and retinol are your friends, remember that and your youthful skin will last longer.
At 67 I am stil working and feeling healthy though sometime feel lousy because of age, human cannot escape these makes yourself busy and useful you will feel being rejuvenated.⚘😍
@@paulinedavis772 agree I use both and a healthy active life style ❤
And when you’re 30 and already unhappy about your looks, you still have a lot of concerns to go
I can't thank you enough for the in-depth details you always give.
This makes so much sense. I’m 60, never had Botox or lasers. If I get anything done ever, it’ll be surgery.
Lasers can help skin quality but a facelift cannot
@@chem3066 so you mean lasers can sort of thicken or strengthen the neck skin or what areas and in what sense is it able to help? I’m a complete novice. Thanks
Thank you for being so honest. I admire you for your courage and admitting your mistakes. Sounds that you genuinely care about your patients and want to give them the best service possible.
Right on
I disagree about caring:if he cares his prices will be much lower and available for more ppl.Just talking and then charging that much tells me No he does not care about ppl only about money.Otherwise would be much cheaper.
Do PRP completely natural!
I honestly love listening to him because I learn so much. I definitely think he has to be an all around incredible caring person and surgeon. I can hear his love of asthetics and appreciate the time and effort he puts into his TH-cam channel to educate us. ❤ Thank you Dr. Karam.
Thank you so much :)
This is why I’m saving for a facelift in my mid 50s
DO NOT do a thread lift. Mine left two small bulges of scar tissue on my cheeks. Plus it doesnt work.
Mine did too. I had it done back in August and there is still the buldging in my face I can feel.
Thank you! I was thinking about doing it but was afraid of that! I hope yours can be corrected ❤
Depends who does the threading...
😮...I just scheduled my thread lift in 1 week. Now I am scared...
I got PDO threads and they gave me puffy jowls that hang below my jawline lopsided! Didn't have that before! Made me look like a grandma! Aged me by 20 years, don't do it!!!!!
Just turned 50 and diagnosed with estrogen positive breast cancer last year... Unfortunately needed chemotherapy and taxol. I now feel like my face is aging so fast from being forced into menopause 5 yrs earlier than I would have otherwise. My mom had her last cycle at 56.

I'm just starting to research my options at the age of almost 59. I've had nothing done up until now, so I really had no idea what was best for me. This video had amazing information!
Microneedling is great for keeping the skin from thinning and sagging. I started doing it at the age of 40, I'm 54 this year and I don't think I look that bad for my age. I also do tca chemical peels. I do all of this during the Autumn and winter months.
I’m told that micro needling is not safe because it can affect your nerves.
@@TheBohemianStyle The needles don't reach the depth of your nerves. Infection is the main risk, everything has to be sterilised.
What tools for micro needling do you use? N the serums too? I’ve wanted to try this, but really didn’t know what technic works best, I’ve seen so many n just didn’t know 🤷🏻♀️ thank you so much for info n GOD Bless My Friend!!!
@@missyvinson9469 I use Dr pen ULTIMA-A6. I use 100% hyaluronic gel for glide. Wash and dry your face then use 75% isopropyl alcohol wipes to sterilize your skin, apply gel to your face and start microneedling. You will need to numb if your going to go deep. I sterilize my tools with 99.9 isopropyl alcohol.

Be careful, facelifts only last about 20 years and then you'll have to get another one.

Have you looked up Dr. Kassier in NY?
Can I ask how much the “package” will cost?

I also got amazing results from PDO threads. I want to try them in my forehead to see what results it brings and then maybe I can reduce the amount of botox. But I live in NZ and I cant find any clinic that thinks it can be done in the forehead.
Threads do not work. Stop lying 🤥
@mihaelamargarit6891 I'm very glad to hear that. I just turned 60 and it's been tough emotionally. I've been planning on going to get fillers by an expert nurse out in California. Could you tell us more about your experience with fillers? Thanks!

Even before he got to the vertical restore part i just knew he was going to say vertical restore is the only solution. lol
i am sorry to say that these photos are not a good representation of before and after results.
Be happy.
Love your explanations because they are clear, logical, and, make sense to me!

Real prices.. Vertical restore 85k
Fat transfer 40k, very expensive.. hopefully other great Drs put some healthy competition in this market so in a few year's this will be in line with breast implant cost.✨️
Greed. Those prices are indefensible. But it appears there are people able and willing to pay those exorbitant fees, and surgeons can maintain their lifestyles while working on far fewer patients…
You nailed it!@@sbmart5929
Same. I have never done anything. I am 54 in April and when I tell people my age they are blown away.
I am 68. I accidentally used the retinol cream I bought at Costco. I have used it for nearly 20 years, and it stopped for about five years. Now, I was back on Retinol about six months ago. People thought I was in my 40s to 50s, and I am very proud because I know hard work did pay off
That continued retinol use thins the skin & where the fun if you can't enjoy even the minimal of sun?
