Hi friends! I've got a little weekend vlog for ya with lots of activities! I went to the ILNP office for a visit (which unfortunately I didn't vlog lol), got a ton of new spring nail polishes, and went on a date night on the Las Vegas Strip :) I also gave a tiny bit of insight about what's been going on, but I'm not supposed to talk about it just yet haha

ILNP!!! ILNP earned my eternal loyalty for not only their amazing polishes but their mindblowingly good customer service. One of my polishes had a problem in transit and they not only replaced it, they gave me a discount on my next order. So so so wonderful and they were so nice during our interactions, too.

ILNP is probably my fave polish brand! They are easy to apply, last at least a week on my nails and are easy to remove. Plus the selection of colors and finishes means I can try lots of different things. Their return policy is so easy on the customer.
I accidentally bought a double of a color I already own and they let me keep it and then pick out the color I wanted.
Oh wow that was so sweet of them! I'm honestly not surprised, they have such a consumer focused brand and they really see to value feedback from their customers. One of my favorite things to see in a brand!

If you're ever looking for a genre change I feel like that's a brilliant and lucrative idea. Systematically go through the strip, do everything there is to do, and vlog it. I feel like that's a TV show idea actually lmao
I am obsessed with ILNP. I have been buying their collections a lot lately and they stay on my nails for a week. Their polishes are absolutely stunning!!!!!
Oh man, my heart sank when you said your "issue" was crazy neighbors. (I'd assumed you were still dealing with the movers, maybe suing). I hope you find some peace. 💕 And yes, I love hearing about Vegas stuff, even though I don't plan to visit. It's interesting!
I really enjoyed the part where you took us with you to dinner and dessert! Fun to get to experience Vegas vicariously. And neat to hear what you thought afterwards. If you want to keep showing that sort of thing, would happily watch!

I’m 5’9”, which is like 4 or 5 inches taller than both of my best friends and most of my coworkers. Generally I don’t mind being taller but maybe I’m just used to it lmao😂
Also, as a bookstore employee, yes I agree with you!! Buy books at local bookstores whenever you can!! Support your local bookstore!! Small/indie bookstores are truly wonderful oases in the horrible desert of massive corporations that is slowly taking over the world, and I bet Vegas has a lot of really cool ones!
(And for anyone with concerns, most local bookstores can order/mail something if a customer can’t pick it up in person or if they need something specific that isn’t currently in stock, so it’s not usually any more difficult than buying stuff on Amazon anyway. Although depending on the store it might take longer because we don’t have control over shipping the way Amazon does.)
I just have to say I love vlog Kelli so much. I feel like we are just friends chatting in your living room 😊 and your skin is absolutely gorgeous and if you don't feel like wearing face makeup we would all love to see your freckles!
Dont know if you will ever ready this, but i dont know what is but alwaya your vlogs put me in such a good mood, maybe its the songs you edit, or just your attitude, but love the good vibes!

I moved to Vegas last year, and yesterday I just started a spreadsheet of restaurants I’ve tried and want to try! The food variety is amazing here. There are some amazing places off strip as well, including places with Michelin stars! But the Strip is famous for a reason.
Oh my gosh you'll have to tell me if you try any must-have places too!! There's just so many amazing options haha. I really love all the off-strip places I've tried before and I've been keeping a list of those too, I don't think we will ever run out of restaurants 🤣🤣

What a great idea to start checking out all the restaurants on the strip. I understand what you mean about "locals" not going to the strip but you and Ryan enjoying it. When I first moved to the Bay Area, I LOVED going into San Francisco and checking out all the touristy places. I wanted to knock them off my list and I truly enjoyed doing it. I too also got a lot of heat from the locals telling me that they don't visit the "touristy" areas. To me it's a great way to start learning about the place you live and appreciating it. I've been out here 14 years now, and I STILL love to walk around the touristy areas of San Francisco. I too feel like I learn about something new every time I visit the city! I do hope you take us along on your foodie adventures. I've written down so many Vegas ideas and places to see just from your Vlogs since you moved there. I can't wait to hit up Vegas again and now I have this awesome list of places to see thanks to you and Ryan!!! YAY!! Thanks for another soothing and relaxing vlog. **Also, I did start watching your epic nail video and I am loving it so far!!
Honestly I don't think I'll ever get tired of the touristy areas. I think a lot of locals shy away from the big crowds because it gets hectic but I feel like it's so worth it dealing with crowds to experience all that these fun cities have to offer! 😅
I lived in San Francisco and LA for a long time...I never stopped loving going to touristy stuff. It's touristy for a reason! It's so fun to people watch, do the things, enjoy the energy of people who are visiting and having a great vacation doing their own thing. (I mean, I might be biased since I'm THAT person...I had an Elvis wedding in Vegas, I always find the most touristy thing to do in any city, I used to live by and go to the Santa Monica pier and Venice beach just on an afternoon off. So you know, I get it. Heh.)
Speaking of the strip....If you like asian foods (from a variety of places and cooking styles), try the 'food court' at Resorts World!

Love the idea of the restaurants on the strip for the vlog. And also, I guess there are two of us that love Daiya cheese! It's my favorite.

Our daughter used to live in LV and we've also been to LV quite a few times over the years for convention and with friends although we're not gamblers. There is so much great food there! Fun cooking classes too. Eataly, for example, gives excellent pizza classes. We've been to Sushisamba with a big group of friends and ordered almost everything on that menu but those taquitos were the best thing we tried. I just wanted to tell you, I really think you have a great attitude and I encourage you to hold onto it! Your attitude will serve you well through adversities in life, we all face those unfortunately. Also, I hope y'all will visit Lotus of Siam, it's off the strip but it's absolutely incredible food! Read everything you can on the internet before you go so you're ready. And go more than once, you won't be sorry! I wish you could've visited them when they were in their old dumpy location, somehow I liked them better then even though the food is exactly the same then and now. Good luck on your food adventures!
I reallly like ILNP so I am sure you had a good time. I have never tried the I Scream brand but the colors you showed looked really pretty. Looking forward to the spring collection from ILNP, like I need more polish!!!! Have a nice dinner.

I was reminiscing…my husband and I stayed at the Venetian and the Vdara two years ago. We loved Sushi Samba❤️ We didn’t spend a penny on gambling! For us, the food was the highlight😉 I really enjoyed this Vlog, too bad we didn’t get to see much of ILNP. I would’ve loved that❤️Thanks for sharing your experiences!😊
This was so fun. I’d love to see vlogs where you and Ryan hit up Vegas strip restaurants. I’ve never been to Las Vegas so it’s always interesting, at least for me anyway! Also, hearing that your “situation” is neighbor related makes total sense why it’s impacting you so much. I also work from home, and live in a condo, so we have neighbors as well. If someone moves in that isn’t considerate of the close quarters, it can really be intrusive on your environment, and turn what was a relaxing, safe, comfy space into the opposite. I obviously don’t know details, but I know how one bad neighbor can really take a toll on your life. There really isn’t an escape when you also work from home. Anyway I’m hoping this situation is resolved soon! Hang in there, Kelli!

i also wonder what the crossover is between the nail polish community and slime. it sort of scratches the same itch for me with the types and colors and collecting.

your videos always make me so homesick in the best way haha. my mom actually worked as a dealer in the Venetian so she never wanted to go to the strip on the weekends when she was off work, so i'm always fascinated by more "tourist-y" videos of the strip since growing up i never saw most of it. PLEASE keep doing the food vlogs, i absolutely love the food in vegas and it's the thing i miss the most. also i'm 5'7" too and i'm also fat so i'm always self conscious about wearing tall shoes and towering over people, i only wear flats XD
Oh my gosh you need to come back to Vegas and give yourself the tourist experience haha!! And I wonder why we always want to not tower over people, I wonder if it's just ingrained into us to not take up too much space which is so hard to unlearn!

Ohhh my goodness, we're currently going through neighbour issues too, so I definitely feel some solidarity with you on this! We're both really non-confrontation people, which means our anxiety goes through the roof every time we have to deal with them and it's getting to the point that we're afraid to leave the house because we know it will inevitably mean interacting with them. Its such a bad time, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope you're able to get a satisfactory resolution soon!
It's such a stressful situation, I hope we both get our peace and comfort in our homes soon 💜
Loved your ILNP visit outfit. As a shortie, I encourage you to wear what you want, when you want (you did!) and enjoy being the tall, fabulous one in the room! The restaurant tour is fun, definitely looking forward to more. I'm sorry you're dealing with a crappy neighbor situation - I'm so glad you have sweet, friendly neighbors, too. I hope everything gets resolved, you shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable in your own space. So fun to see all your cool finds in shopping - somewhere I heard someone say to not smell the Dayia cheese shreds in the package because they taste very different. I'll be sure to follow that advice when I try it, haha!
I'm really hoping the neighbor situation gets resolved soon, it's been terrible! I would love to have friendly neighbors (or even just neighbors I don't see at all lol)

Oh I'm sorry about the neighbor issue, I dealt with that last year and it can really ruin your peace at home and stress you out a lot.

That sushi looked soooo good. Yellowtail is my favorite, and I'm seriously lusting for those taquitos.
I don't know what type of fish it was, but there was one nigiri they cut into a little grid and then (I think?) hit it with a torch and OMG, it tasted amazing! I need to find out what it was lol I loved it. But those yellowtail taquitos own my heart now 😂

Okay, you had a Portuguese song play while you made breakfast/unloaded the dishwasher, etc and that made my heart happy. I approve.
I love your restaurant idea. That's one of my favorite things about the strip. When I go for work, it's in August, so it's super hot (which I hate), and I hate the cigarette smoke everywhere, otherwise I think I would really enjoy the strip. If I ever go in the winter/late fall, I will report back. lol But I love trying new places to eat every time my sister and I go. I always want to go along with you to the restaurants. Always.
The bathrooms in that restaurant look awful. No thank you. But dessert looks amazing. 😍
I HATE cooking chicken. I don't mind doing beef, but chicken I hate. And hubby took care of all of that that. 😮💨 He did the guac too, but I've been pretty adept at doing that, because I've been spoiled and can't not have fresh guac. Your guacamole looks delicious. What we have always made is basically the same, minus the green bunching onions, plus lime juice, minus garlic salt (though I'm going to have to try that next time) and salt and pepper. Oh, and some cilantro, because we love cilantro and don't have the stupid soap gene.

Omg the stress of having a nightmare neighbor is just hard to comprehend unless you've dealt with it personally!! We moved to a more busy area, and my neighbor across the road was a horrible alcoholic and he'd get so drunk every night, cause so many problems.. it was hell. I felt sorry for him because that was his entire life was just alcohol.. he actually ended up passing away because of the alcohol problem. I wish you guys the best of luck with that! Also, I am impatiently waiting for your OPI spring review! 😆 I've been waiting to buy them bc I can't tell how they actually look with the pics
It's a struggle but I'm hoping that management can make some serious adjustments soon! And haha the OPIs will be coming very soon, probably Tuesday for the main collection!!

When my mom was a snowbird in Vegas, she had to go see the Bellagio conservatory display every time they changed it.

I know you can't talk about it, but I had a super mega crazy neighbor (like, police, court dates, off to the sanitarium kind of crazy) that stretched out for many years and it's SO stressful. My heart goes out to you. I hope you have some movement and resolution soon!

Granted I am on a 17' laptop in theater view but the quality from your phone was great. I think the restaurant hopping is an awesome idea, even if you don't take us along maybe tell us about it after like the wrap up you did on this one? I don't mind cooking chicken but I ask my husband to clean it as he is better at that.
"Spicy toothpaste". NAILED it! A thing I've always wondered: why are appetizers and such served in odd numbers?
The cynic in me says it's probably to convince people to order two 😂😂
I visited Vegas very briefly at the beginning of the year for a small chapel wedding, and we went to Rivea at the top of Mandalay Bay. The Skyfall Lounge also has a killer view of the strip. I don't drink alcohol, so the bartender made me a really lovely lavender lime mocktail. It was pretty pricey (although there were options that we more reasonable than others), but the whole experience is wonderful.
I can understand disliking the strip because it's quite overwhelming, but I agree that there is so much worth doing, seeing, and eating there.
I was so disappointed that the Jabbawockeez weren't performing while we were there, and we were also offered free tickets to see Steve Aoki (which we had to pass up 😭).
OOOOOOO new polish review coming, woohoo! I'm game to go on any food journey and would love to see what you guys are exploring in Las Vegas. Great outfit for ILNP! Don't worry about the height (loved the shoes), so long as you're not trying to "loom" over anyone no one will care. Curious, why do you like slime?
Haha! Thankfully I didn't hover near anyone so I wasn't looming LOL 😂 honestly, I never thought I'd be a slime person but something about the combination of it having a relaxing sound plus something to keep my hands occupied is so satisfying!

to apply a face oil so its not greasy do it with a wet face and wet hands and put a couple drops on your hand and rub your hands together then rub on your face...this will apply the oil much more evenly so u dont get all oily. and i usually only need 1-2 drops for my whole face and neck, at least for the oil i use.

Oooh it's super easy! I don't actually measure anything - I just take however many avocados I have and mash them up with green onion, garlic salt, and lemon juice! I love a bit of freshness in there too so if I have it, I'll add tomato or red bell pepper (or in this case both!)

I love trying different restaurants for date night! We’ve been trying to check out new restaurants as well and moved around the same time y’all did. Going by area is smart! I may steal that idea from you.
I also hate cooking animal protein, so my partner is in charge of that as well. 🤣 I’m glad it’s not just me! I’m in my early thirties and would strictly eat vegetarian at home if not for my partner.
You've always worried about your vlogs being boring... I have never found them so. I have your giant polish swatch up on one tab to have going on repeat while I work (remotely on my pc)... I can glance over at all the pretty colors and it's a nice change. Usually, I have instrumental pop or music in a foreign language.. I can't have music in English because I am ridiculously bad at staying focused. I absolutely love the rotating through the restaurants on the strip. I've tried to do that in my little corner of the world but my group is uninterested! lol :( Instead, I go through the menu's of the places we do frequent and try every single item at least once.

I'm dreading Summer and Kelli's excited for Vegas' spring to feel like Summer. I just want comfortable weather. I want to turn the heat off open the windows and be comfortable. I don't want to have to turn the AC on. And I'm a New Englander..so my summers aren't even that bad.

I'm one of the people who don't like daiya when I tried it I thought all vegan cheese was disgusting but then I tired Violife and it was a game changer.
Haha I'm looking forward to three digit temperatures tbh! And honestly, we never used to go out to eat but the cost of living in Vegas is a lot lower so we have some extra spending money and we decided to allocate a portion of it for a weekly or twice monthly date night 😅 I figure it's an investment into enjoying our relationship haha
Hank Green is an author who has addressed the question of where should you buy a book to support authors and his answer was it doesn't matter. Authors make the same amount whether you buy the book from Amazon or an independent bookstore. So buy where you need to buy from, it's more so the distributor that sees the difference. So if you have a local bookstore you want to support it matters to that bookstore, but to the author it doesn't matter, at least according to Hank.
Spring is awful for me! The weather is unpredictable, the allergies are awful, and there is nothing going on really. It is nice to transition out of winter though! I'm curious if your allergies will be triggered by anything in Vegas. I just had a minor grass allergy when I lived in AZ but I moved to Washington State 10 years ago and my allergies are so much worse! I was not used to all the pollen and trees and now I have to take allergy meds daily, even in the winter! I hope you're get better in the desert 🙂
