I’ve learned from decluttering videos that the stuff we keep should make our lives easier, bring us joy etc. If the thing is not doing that anymore it’s ok to let it go. You get to decide if/when to let the nail tower go. I’m happy for you, that you’re happy!

My husband and I went full beast mode when we bought our house. In one week we moved everything, put everything away, painted the entire exterior of our house and 4-stall garage, did some interior painting and did our living room in pine car siding. I'm glad we were younger because typing that just made me tired 😂
I actually like the new acrylic tower more than the old one! I imagine getting rid of that big clunky tower must have felt so freeing. I'm happy for you!
I have two of those towers and love them. There are large clear rubber “bands” tho that come with it and are meant to wrap around each set of 4 pillars on each level, that holds the main row of polishes neatly in place! Hope you didn’t throw them away 😬 as they are very useful and make the towers much nicer to use. Also, a tip on curtains: hang them much higher than the window (nearer to ceiling) to elongate/enlarge the look of the room. Also, expand the rods well past the right and left sides of the windows so when you hang the curtains you are not blocking and narrowing the window openings. Together, these two style tips really enhance the overall space. I’ve seen many examples and it’s SO much nicer looking! 💕✌️
Those mats are awesome. We put them in our horse trailer so the horses had stable footing for the long hauls. They will most likely outlive your elliptical machine because they are so solid.
Good for you for being so careful with your location and privacy. I've seen bigger TH-camrs not be careful with that and I find myself being so worried for them. So glad you're being protective of your family.
Don't be worried about people being upset about the new nail polish tower. It's okay to grow up and get new things! Growing and changing is a part of life and your viewers don't get to dictate the way you decorate your new grownup home! Also I really like the new tower and I might get the same one now, haha. You should absolutely consider making your dining room a library if you're not going to eat in there often, we made our den into a library and put a day bed from ikea in there to read on. We even got shelf drawer things at ikea to put under the bed so there are books all around! It's so cozy and I love reading and napping in there. Also, as a fellow married person I am ALWAYS worried I'm going to ruin my ring somehow, I definitely take it off to paint my nails!

I do love how you do your makeup, especially when you have vibrant eye makeup on too. And the nail tower - we may be used to seeing it all the time, but it's your space and if you want change something in it then you should be able to do what you want without people judging or complaining. Make your space how you would like it. 🙂

I absolutely adored that nailpolish stand, so I made my own (with the help of my dad, which was super fun and a memory I will cherish). I laughed a bit because the one you got was the one my partner recommended to me when I said I wanted one like yours. It’s nice timing of new house, new nailpolish stand beginnings!
I have this same tower but mine came with clear bands to go around the “stems” to act as kind of a wall so that the nail polish doesn’t move backwards. I never thought of not using the bands to get more storage. Good idea
Heads up from a new house owner to another, drano is not good for your pipes and can cause longer term damage. You can get a manual drain snake from pretty much any hardware store. In my experience, the drain snake works much better. Enjoy your new home!

I noticed the tower was gone immediately, and feel like it had a lot more character, but at the end of the day, it's a functional object. If it's not functioning anymore, that's a good time to find a replacement. And you say that it's not sentimental, but the way you describe letting it go and feeling relief - that's sentimental. You can be sentimental about a thing in a negative way, and carrying that around with you costs energy. You aren't having to funnel that energy into it on a daily basis. You can reclaim it and put it to work somewhere else.

I broke off so many nails moving tractor supply mats! They’re freaking heavy and awkward! I was going to suggest that once sure this is your home gym room for sure, pull the carpet from this room and do a hard floor. As a long term plan. It will probably just never be super stable with the carpet underneath.

I just moved 12 of these stall mats around today!!! It was time to redo the base underneath my horses stalls (gets lumpy, mats shift, and hay works underneath the edges and needs scraped out), and holy crap I'm so sore. Stalls look fantastic though, as does your gym room!
I love the new nail polish tower! I can't wait to see what you do with the rest of the house, but especially with your filming set up. If you want the option to change your background wallpaper, there seem to be a ton of temporary wallpapers that would make it easy to change out if you ever wanted to.

As someone who also washes their hair not as often… I shed a lot in the shower when I finally do, of course I shed when I brush my hair but my husband is always like HOW do you shed so much and still have hair on your head 😂 I too have a similar drain cover to catch hair and let me say even though it’s my hair whenever I use some toilet paper after a shower to pick it up… I still have to kind of look away. I can clean my hair brush fine and everything… just something about a little pile of wet hair kind of makes me gag. I think because it’s wet and in the shower kind of gives me like horror movie vibes??? But I’d rather not have to use draino etc too if it does clog so I agree, worth it

Sounds like everything is coming together well! Moving is a huge chore and setting up a new home takes time. Long time for some of us! 😂🙋🏼♀️ I still have small sections in our home that need tending after 5 yrs! But we’ll get there! You will too and I bet much sooner! 😊 I love the Home Depot shades! ❤

Love watching your moving vlog. As far as the nail tower. I personally don't watch your videos to see your surroundings. Don't know why anyone would be upset about getting rid of it. It's your tower, your choice. I like your new tower just as well, and if you like it, that's all that matters. If there are nay sayers, just ignore them lol. if your not upset about about the old tower then none else should be. love that new tower maybe you could put annoying older shaped bottles in the middle or bad formula but you can't bear to part with polishes 😂 The house is coming on so nicely.

I just moved 12 of these stall mats around today!!! It was time to redo the base underneath my horses stalls (gets lumpy, mats shift, and hay works underneath the edges and needs scraped out), and holy crap I'm so sore. Stalls look fantastic though, as does your gym room!
I love the new nail polish tower! I can't wait to see what you do with the rest of the house, but especially with your filming set up. If you want the option to change your background wallpaper, there seem to be a ton of temporary wallpapers that would make it easy to change out if you ever wanted to.

As someone who also washes their hair not as often… I shed a lot in the shower when I finally do, of course I shed when I brush my hair but my husband is always like HOW do you shed so much and still have hair on your head 😂 I too have a similar drain cover to catch hair and let me say even though it’s my hair whenever I use some toilet paper after a shower to pick it up… I still have to kind of look away. I can clean my hair brush fine and everything… just something about a little pile of wet hair kind of makes me gag. I think because it’s wet and in the shower kind of gives me like horror movie vibes??? But I’d rather not have to use draino etc too if it does clog so I agree, worth it
