Making a seat hump buck - Suzuki Bandit Cafe Racer - ASBO Project

- I'm still suffering with COVID, so picked an easy job to get done. I need to make a buck for the seat hump to be shaped to fit around as its quite a complicated shape to do on the English Wheel. This is gonna help me get it right.
SOMEBODY IS GOING TO WIN ASBO - That's right, somebody who supports the QuickBikes channel and the bikes I'm building is going to be the proud owner of a completely custom built Suzuki Bandit Cafe Racer once it's finished. If the winner is not in the UK, I can crate it up etc, but the shipping will be their responsibility. If you're in the UK, we'll be able to arrange something.
Please, please, please like and share this video as it will be setting the budget to finish the bike and hopefully raise some additional funds so I can include some spanky bits in the build. The bigger the budget, the better the bike you might end up with.

I'd just been thinking that the seat hump was gonna be bloody high even allowing for seat padding when you spoke my thoughts mate. A bit like an S Rad hump only bigger. Though from another angle it doesn't look so high. I love a good S Rad. I think I'd be tempted to make a buck n' do the whole thing in carbon or glass fibre. I reckon your plan to put in for test first n' see what they come up with is the way to go. It'll save a lot of arsing about.
It'll give me a definite work to list to tick off knowing that's what they're looking for hey. I think the seat is.going to match up with the tank quite nicely as well, but not have the seat pad in place really does make it look quite high doesn't it 😂🤣

I used to run to the toilet when the foreman had a sheet metal work job. I hated it because I was crap at it lol Nothing ever fitted properly when I had a go at it!

Just a question.. could you have gotten the bend started, tack that part to your table then work your way around tacking and heating and bending. Bike looks good!

Not so sure that MOT & MSVA are the same thing. MOT will tell you if it's roadworthy, where MSVA is type approval. I have tested bikes that are roadworthy & given them a cert, & then tested the same bike for type approval where it failed miserably 😂 but I like your logic ❤
It's gonna get both as I don't believe the MSVA counts as an MOT. The MSVA is to see what registration I end up with and it's built properly 😁👍

Why didn't you just transfer you template onto some decent thickness steal plate then you could of cut out the middle later on then it it was no longer needed giving you a lip..... if you get what im saying

@@QuickBikes totally stalled matey cos we've been waiting for some nicer weather so the father in-law can go out to the garage and turn some parts up on the laithe. Done some old school cad and mocked up the rear shock mount. Just been focusing on the K1 while ive had some time poweder coated wheels yellow, rebuilt the calibers with sintered pabs and braided hoses and about to rebuild the forks with k-tech springs for my weight oh and a new carbon end can cos my blueflame one vibrated its self apart
