Making a tail tidy (Pt 1) - Suzuki Bandit Cafe Racer - ASBO Project

In this video I'm making the tail tidy for the bike. But something about best laid plans springs to mind and I have to have a bit of a re-think...
SOMEBODY IS GOING TO WIN ASBO - That's right, somebody who supports the QuickBikes channel and the bikes I'm building is going to be the proud owner of a completely custom built Suzuki Bandit Cafe Racer once it's finished. If the winner is not in the UK, I can crate it up etc, but the shipping will be their responsibility. If you're in the UK, we'll be able to arrange something.
Please, please, please like and share this video as it will be setting the budget to finish the bike and hopefully raise some additional funds so I can include some spanky bits in the build. The bigger the budget, the better the bike you might end up with.

you could let the number plate piece into the bar then weld the whole thing to the under side of the seat tray and rails.

I could do but then it's all welded together .. frame and numberplate mounting jobbie... I don't think I've ever seen a bike like that...

Would look like a towel rail with those tab fixings. I thought you would have mounted the plate and indicator bar from the rear with some sort of extended neck arrangement fastened to the bottom of the under panel. 😉 I'll get me coat 😮😮

That would look proper poo on this bike 🤣😂
I did mock it up with a stand off tube thingy and it just looked wrong... The tabs are only going to be tacked on initially until the I'm happy with it, but you won't have to wait long matey.
Personally I thought it looked like the handle on a shopping trolley with the big stand off jobbies which is why they're in the bin 🤣😅

Justa thought; u might need a support from the rail to the centroid of the number plate, you might get the plate vibrating causing a fatigue failure along ur weld btw old pro shaper makes it look so easy .. I wish I could post pictures of some of my failed attempts People could do with a laugh these days ! ps , how about moving the plate up towards the seat to hide the rail ?

There's going to be a support kinda thingy down the back of it as well matey which will be a cut down piece of tube. You'll see it when I get this thing finished over the next couple of days 😁👍
