I started looking at this, and noticed that my App usage on my MacBook is including the usage from my iPhone. Does that mean my iPhone is draining my MacBook battery?
I don't think it would be using the battery but somehow Apple has tied your usage so it shows up on the MacBook. I would not really count that toward the battery usage though.
I bought m2 and battery giving 30 minites by cunsuming 10% of battery what should I do i bought 5 days ago .and battery draining 5 to 6 percentage in 12 hours how ever i close all the apps
Give it a few more days and make sure you don't have an app draining the power. The macs should lose some battery while sleeping and that is normal. It's hard for me to say but usually the devices use more battery during the first week doing updates behind the scenes.
This is awesome! Definitely going to start tracking. What’s interesting is we always hear that using Chrome as a browser isn’t good because it’s an energy drain. But what I have feeling is, Safari probably isn’t any worse/better, but it’s more the WEBSITE that dictates the energy drain. And why I say this is because I often don’t use Chrome (because I think it’s less efficient), but sometimes I absolutely have to because a website just doesn’t work with Safari. I do like Safari because of the password aspect, but other than that, I feel like it always is a pain trying to load things…. Will be interesting to test..or maybe you already can confirm if they are similar from a battery perspective…
Yes, this would be a good way to test that out for sure and they determine what browser is really using the most power. The websites make a huge difference for sure.
I regret so hard buying Apple again. LIKE WOW... 2k USD for a computer this bad?! Would've gone with a Lenovo for way less than half price, close specs. SO BAD. Draining during sleep. WTF?!
Noodle is in for a visit. Especially a Ravinia show this summer. And a coffee w Billy Corgan!
Ok just let me know in spring and we can plan
Thanks man 🙌💙
Welcome
Craig, I have the M1 Air and 14” M1 Pro. Both drain battery when turned off. Any ideas there what causes that?
It does updates while sleeping. You can turn it off.
Thank you. this helped me so much. found out my notes app was draining my battery so I did a force quit on that app.
Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks Much ! HAPPY NEW YEAR
Have a great 2023.

You just don't tell us how to reduce Safari battery drainage.
I may make a video on more detailed topics in the future but this was an overview.

SO BAD.
Draining during sleep.
WTF?!
Yeah, I only use my Apple and I have a bunch of Windows PCs. Use what is best for you and that is what matters.
@@craigneidel Yeah, I'm coming to terms with it.
I use both platforms.
Thanks!
Thanks.
