    I know a lot of people just say "use the traxxas replacement program because it's cheaper".... Yes it's cheaper to get you back up and running immediately, but I like using my choice of bearings and the peace of mind knowing that it was properly assembled by me. Great vid as always man. I'm always looking forward to more vids from you man, keep up the good work.

    I’m in the process of taking apart and cleaning 5 3.3’s and. 2.5 for all my rustlers and Jato’s. I wish there was a simple back plate and a shaft like the existing easy start shaft with 1/4” tip on it. Then you could start it with a drill easily . I would like to make my own simple back plate with a bushing and weld a 1/4” hex tip to that ez start shaft that slips on the crank. It would be exposed and spinning but I wonder if that work. Hate all the crap one way bearing backplates for roto start. They are garbage. If this is a moronic idea let me have it.

    Will an os 11k carburetor work on a trx 3.3 engine? As I cannot find a losi/lossy 3.4 carb atm and to make matters worse almost all ths exhaust systems are not in stock (unless you wanna use a tmaxx exhaust or if possible get creative)... love your videos, the humor and your relationship with traxxas a hahahaha! I agree traxxas is going south on important things as I may be giving up on their engines (2.5 and 3.3) for good for something else (dynamite mach 2 .19 looks amazing you run) or if somehow traxxas really steps it up

Also with your easy start check the yellow ground wire that is connected to the bottom of your engine. If that is broken or lose it won't light the plug either. Just something to check 🍻😎

    • @thebug4046

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@xllsd4553 that's a really bad idea. WD40 is not oil it is a kerosene based solvent Designed for displacement of water it has no Film strength and will allow full metal to metal contact and damage parts. If the engine is new from factory it will already have oil on the parts just start it and do the brake in process. If you did a rebuild then oil the moving parts just like my video. Then do your brake in process. Also the WD40 will not ignit and will not blend with the fuel. Take that stuff and keep it for something else. When you are done running for the day let it run out of fuel till no start and it's fine to let it sit like that for a month or so if you run frequently don't bother. If you are putting it in storage then use it. Remember RC fuel is likely 2 stroke fuel it has oil mixed in it already at 10% or more witch is 12.8oz oil per gallon plenty of oil in their. It just takes time for the fuel to hit all the moving parts in the engine that's why you oil moving parts or if it's new they should have been oiled at the factory
