    This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

    I think the thing I enjoy most about your videos, aside from the really clean and modern pieces you make, has got to be how deliberate everything is. There's a deliberate considered pace to your narrating the videos, there's a very methodical process for all of the shots of the various cuts you make. It's incredibly relaxing to watch.

    Quite possibly the best produced, smartest, funniest maker channel out there. And all this balancing a job and a family. Just flat out bad ass Chris.

    I'd love to see you involve your son in the videos or a project, a child is like a sponge, they hold so much and as a kid I loved helping my dad build, and with a son of my own I see the enjoyment my son gets out of helping me.

    • @Foureyes.Furniture
      @Foureyes.Furniture  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would like to do that at some point. He's pitched in a little in a few of them...but he is still a little young (4 1/2 years old).

      @BrodeySheppard 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      My son is nearly four, keep it safe and as long as they are helping you can see the joy in their eye of helping out and being included.

    Hey Chris! I have a tip for you that you might find helpful or useful. When using a router (handheld, trim, table) rotate counter clockwise when routing exterior edges (table and counter tops) and clockwise on inside or interior edges (sink cut-out). When using a table, same applies, just rotate the wood or work piece counter clockwise on exterior edges and rotate it clockwise for interior edges.
    There's a few reasons for doing this. Helps with blow out and tear out. Helps keep control of the router but most importantly it will keep your router bits sharp because of their design.
    I put the sink example above because that's how I was taught to remember it. Picture a rectangular counter top with a circle cut out in the middle for a sink. We go counter clockwise on outside or exterior edges and clockwise around the sink hole or interior edges. I learned to remember it as clockwise around the clock (circle sink cut out)
    Best of luck, keep up the great content. Love the podcast by the way and what You, Mike, and Ben have created!

    • @Foureyes.Furniture
      @Foureyes.Furniture  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Marc...good tips. It's funny, when I'm using the table router, I usually do rotate the piece counter clock-wise when I go around curves on the outside. I didn't know I should, but I think I do it b/c it just feels right ergonomically for some reason. Using a handheld router, I never even though about rotating. But I will keep it in mind.

    • @marcemarc6516
      @marcemarc6516 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a router destroy a piece on me one time and I ask someone how they have so much control and they explained it to me, especially with trim bits for coping templates or trimming laminate. Thanks for the reply!!

    The production level of your videos Chris are insanely good, the intelligence behind how you mix background music, perfectly filmed hd story telling video shots and your smart introspective narration dubbed over the top is extremely high... well done!! Love watching your vidoes. Thankyou.

      Thanks Patrick...I'm glad people think so. It would be way quicker to not do a lot of the stuff I do - but I figure since I'm only building the project once...might as well get as much from it as I can :)
