Nice review. I have this car but in red with stock LED headlights. Amazing driving car and as evidenced by your video, pretty damn quick. I actually have an adrenaline rush from driving it from time to time, and if not careful can get me in major trouble with the cops. I would definitely recommend this Si to anyone at any age, no matter if they know how to drive MT or not. It’s relatively easy to learn, and the payoff is well worth it
i just got my si 2 weeks ago today, im coming from a V6 tacoma modded to make 300HP crank and about 287WHP ( i was rear ended and the frame was bent and totaled @167k miles) but ive also driven a 9th gen and i can say the 9th gen is fun cause vtec but i love the power the 10th gen makes, all it takes is 600$ ( ktuner, hondata or whatever your prefered tuner is ) to make almost 250WHP which is how much it should have had from factory, i love it tho and i glad i got it, my first choice was a focus ST but the only good thing it had was over 250HP, interior features were just taken from other ford models and slapped in
Awesome video Abdullah! I was curious to see your take on the super granular level Honda has gone to on the Civic now with offering the base, sport, Si, and Type R. It feels almost German in the way they’re offering all these steps to customers on the basis of how much performance they want, and indicates a real departure from their past simple and streamlined offerings. Being the performance enthusiast you are, do you welcome this new approach or do you have your own reservations regarding it?
Great review! I like how you give opinions about the driving experience from the top of your head and not from a script! Considering getting one of these for myself! Would you recommend this car for someone who has never driven stick? Lol
Congrats Julian! I was just going to comment for you to have no fear, learning manual is no big deal. And now here you are rowing your new SI :). Thanks Abdullah, I enjoyed this video. The SI seems to be an amazing value. It is growing on me more and more. Thanks
sport mode does nothing to how it revs, I'm confused out how you noticed a "difference" when sport mode was turned on...all it does is tighten the suspension and steering lol
Sports mode does three things if I recall correctly. 1. Stiffens dampers, 2. Firms up steering, 3. More aggressive throttle mapping. When I “felt the car rev faster” I was referring to the improved throttle response. Hope that clarifies my comment.
I have had a 13 and an 06 in the past and now have a 19. Many years inbetween, but from memory this 19 feels faster and is sportier than my 13 which I thought was a letdown by honda. The 06 was awesome, but I don't constantly drive at 7000 rpm or race, so the 19 works better in traffic and overall.
agreed, I have an '18 coupe and in no way would I call it quick in stock trim...I have done quite bit in upgrades and make close to 300 whp and still its not fast and barely would I even call it quick, now its "peppy" lol
Coming from a Honda Civic fan that has owned 2 civics..... this car is NOT fast and the shift throws are NOT short... you obviously have never driven an actual SPORT car... although for what you pay this is a QUICK but not fast fun to drive car
“This thing freaking flies!” is not a statement that I would attach to a car that takes more than 6 seconds to reach 60 mph, and almost 15 seconds to travel 1320 feet. That being said, this is a car that I am considering as a daily driver. I love the pep, and have always been a Honda/Toyota fan as far as value and reliability are concerned.
Great car. I have owned it for a year now and can say it very fun to drive. I love the look, the feel, and the gas mileage. Also, it loves the curves.
I love my 19 Coupe. Kind of reminds me of the late 90s early 2000s Prelude when it was still around.

Abdullah B I got my first speeding ticket in 18 years while driving this Si. And that was going up hill. No tune no nothing. Definitely not a slow car
Best color

I have this exact same car, even to color. I agree with all your observations. Good job!

Best first mods PRL race MAF intake + Phearable Tune on Ktuner + CM FX250 Clutch kit/Aluminium Flywheel + Remove Clutch delay valve.
It needs a “WITH THE BOYS” mode 😂😂
Loool
This car is amazing.
Agreed... Have had one for month and love it.

Hello Abdullah, I just got my 2019 SI Coupe! So far so good, I’m getting the hang of stick pretty quickly! Thanks for the info again,

and throttle response, so in turn, it increases RPM's.
if you're in 3rd gear in a '19 Si you're doing at least 60 MPH... that is to say if you're driving an Si the way it was designed to be driven.
I have the 17 and in no way is it quick it’s sad that Honda went with the 1.5 . I enjoyed my old 12 Si way more
Luckily your opinion doesnt matter and facts do. The 10th gen is faster.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, sounds like Shit! Get rid of the HDMI and put in a real exhaust. STOP praising the car. STOP!
