  • The Honda Civic Si has a new eye catching color for 2019 called Tonic Yellow. Under the hood is the 1.5L turbocharged inline-4 producing 205 HP & mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. What is nice about the Honda Civic Si is that it comes already optioned out, so color is really the only choice you have to make. Is the 2019 Honda Civic Si's performance the best for a sports car under $25,000? Watch to find out all the details!

Nate Wood Ventilated seats would be so nice. South Florida sun is a killer. Thankfully my car is garaged most of the time. The clutch is the lightest I’ve driven, even considering my Miata. Traded in my 16 LX for a 17 Si Coupe and it’s the most fun i’ve had driving. It’s not the fastest or the loudest, but I like that. It’s got enough character and it’s rare enough that it gets attention (haters included). Exclusively 6 speed manual seals the deal. If you want that Si badge, you better know how to drive.
The power is enough to have fun and you don’t have to string it out to red line to get it. The exhaust is quiet so you can sneak out of the neighborhood/apartment complex without being obnoxious in the morning. It’s got a nice lower throaty note than the other civics and you can hear the feedback from the engine in the drivers seat well enough (as long as A/C isnt full blast and music isnt loud).
Ive been seeing 42-44mpg pure highway in that flatter states too.

They are really good cars. They are quicker, or atleast feel quicker than the numbers would have you think. They tune very well. The handling is very precise and great. I found the seats more comfortable than my CTR seats. The cars aren't really known for issues, other than maybe the oil dilution stuff. I think the transmissions might even be better than the CTR transmission because I don't think it suffers from the possible 2nd gear crunch and 4th gear lockout.
The are a great price and can be bought a few grand under msrp. Honda also leases them at good rates and offers special interest financing. They also get like 40 mpg and they hold value very very well.

Hi Joe. I have a month remaining on this lease of a 2019 10th Gen Civic Si Coupe and I am really glad that you were able to review this in time. When you did the review of the 2019 Tonic Yellow (coupe) you mentioned it was a great value under 25K. Crazy that the 11th Gen is 5K more with less options: no LSD, heated seats, 5 less horsepower for starters
The only thing I've done is change the oil, fill up the washer fluid reservoir and put gas in the tank.
Considering you have a 2023 CTR (congratulations btw!) Do you believe this new Si (or the CTR) is worth stepping up to or hang onto the 10th Gen and buy it out?
    Thank you!

My younger friend just recently bought a white Si sedan, but I don't think he is anywhere close to realizing what it can do, or have the driver training or know how, not being quite a car enthusiast. Hi Honda. Please bring this fabulous colour to the UK asap please & put it on the Type R. This coupe shape & style to me is a beautifully looking car as well & that colour. Wow! Bring th the coupe to the UK shores. I'm looking at upgrading my civic to a type R & this Tonic Yellow Pearl would look absolutely fantastic in it. Can't get enough of this colour & look of this civic. I had a 7th gen civic in corona gold pearl it was a (limited colour at that time when l bought it) & that colour sold it for me, l had to have it & purchased it from new straight away. Great Honda car & fab colour, had it for some years & it never let me like all my Honda's l've had. But that 7th gen l had in that gold colour was gold in day time light then if under false light such as fuel stations at night turned to this Tonic Yellow colour it fascinated me when seeing it change to this colour. That is why I'm very surprised & excited to see it & especially on this particular & great styling of Honda. Ps. Get that colour onto a type R GT & I'll buy it without hesitation.
