@Cade Arturo i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I leased this sedan a week ago in South Jersey. Couple pros/cons for those of you considering one that I haven't found throughout the many online reviews/vids: Pros: 1. This car has I believe the highest residual out of any sedan in America (62% throughout at least the Northeast), therefore lease rates are extremely good. I got a 36k/36mo lease for $277 a month w/ only my first payment due at signing. The coupe has even higher residual (64%) and in theory should be about $10-$12 less per month. Getting this price did require me pitting 9 dealers within 75 miles against each other, and I would advise doing the same. 2. Between the trunk and passenger area, this car has 109.7 cubic feet of storage. If it had .3 more, it would technically be classified as a mid-size sedan. (It's big for a compact & has lots of rear head/legroom & good trunk). 3. The handling of this car is impeccable. Sport Mode isn't even needed. Wide tires + 2900lb curb weight + sport tuned suspension + front/rear sway bars = incredible cornering with non-existent body lean. Words don't do it any justice, this car is a magnet. 4. The stereo is LOUD. My previous cars had 9 + 10 speaker BOSE systems and this is a touch better. 5. The transmission is a peach. IMO Honda has the best front wheel drive stick in the business. 6. Power figures are definitely underrated from the factory. I know what 205hp/192lb 'should' feel like, and this is definitely a hair more. I dont have a dyno, but I'd prob rank it around 210/210 on 91 octane. 7. Center console is gigantic and can swallow a lot of items. 8. Ride is smooth on the highway considering sport tuned suspension & wide tires. 9. I averaged 33.5 mpg out of my first tank. (Honda recommends conservative driving for first 600 miles). 10. Highway acceleration in 6th gear at 70 mph & 2,500RPM is a breeze. Just roll on the throttle and you're up to 80 mph and passing effortlessly. 11. Currently, there are used 2015 Civic Si's on Cars/Autotrader for $19k-$21k depending on mileage. There's a chance I'll be able to buy this for $15,500 + tax near the end of my lease, and sell it immediately for at minimum $17,500+ (Net $1,000+ & avoid $350 dispo fee). Cons: (Most of these are nit-picky & just seem like general oversights from Honda) 1. The car is a hair too quiet. I'm 33 years old and past the coffee can exhaust stage, but I'd like a touch more exhaust note/turbo noise. I test drove a 19 Elantra Sport and that sounds like the Tasmanian Devil. 2. There's a lot of different fits/finishes on the exterior. Between the paint, gloss black grille, 2 tone black/silver wheels, chrome window strip, flat black honeycomb bumper inserts, red Si badges, plus I want to add tint. It's got a lot going on and would benefit from more uniformity. 3. Side mirror lane watch is only on passenger side & not as good as Blind spot monitor sensors in competitors. 4. The armrests are cloth, and are going to require a lot of cleaning. The day after I got the car I took it to the beach, and there's already white sunscreen residue on them that needs to get scrubbed out which I'm not happy about. I understand leather isn't a theme in this car, but the armrests should be red stitched and an easy clean soft touch material. 5. Halogen headlights look terrible with LED trim lights. I wish they had an option from the factory to upgrade them to HID or LED for a few hundred bucks. 6. The shift knob is aluminum and is too hot to the touch when sitting in the direct sun. I bought a Deadpool knob cover on Amazon. 7. Infotainment is slow & pairing my android has been cumbersome so far. 8. I wish the steering wheel had a flat bottom & controls that didn't have a cheap feel. 9. The car has no power before 2,000 RPM and it quickly tapers off around 5,500, which is very unlike a Honda. Between those #'s is very healthy and torque-rich, however. 10. With such short throws, I would prefer Reverse be in a different position. If the backup camera didn't come on indicating I was in Reverse, I would think I was in 6th. I would prefer either Down and low-right or Up and high left. Thanks for reading!
I eventually got used to the reverse position but lol the camera thing is still true for me (Guess I'm in reverse). I absolutely hated the reverse position on a Jetta TDI so I'll just keep using the camera to know I'm in reverse :) (Everything else is spot on but the Canadian interior IMO looks better than the US - less flashy)
If you a big rear spoiler, you'll get 12 more hp, 3 hp on tinted windows, 10 more hp with carbon fiber hood, and 5 hp if switch out standard headlights to LED.
I think the most controversial side of the Civic is the REAR end. Some models have the HUGE fake black vents and a lot of people don't like them including me, I'm glad my SI Coupe has much smaller ones.
I love this car and just want to point out the obvious selling point of this car which I feel makes it so marketable. It is a cheap car that makes you feel "sporty" without the need to worry about reliability. Even with modifications such as slightly bigger turbo, different clutch stages, and tuning kits, the reliability of Si's are crazy. It will definitely be a car I get once I finish school, but not a car I will strive to get once I start to gain wealth. Just a personaly preference, I would wnat a more luxurious car once I am in my late 30's to early 40's. However, I do plan to run this car down into the 200k mark. Currently have 100k on my 2012 civic, and I'm loving it.
I watched your video and went and test drove one myself. All I can say is wow. It's an amazing car! One thing I disagree with is the down shifting was super easy to do without having to add any gas. My mistake was that I took your evaluation into serious consideration and once I realized I knew how to drive the car I just did my thing. Everyone is different. Your video got me to go test drive and now I'm seriously looking into to buying one! Thank you!
Great review! Bought a 2019 black si sedan in December right when they were delivered and do not regret it. I wish it was a little bit louder, but you can really get a lot out of it when you get into boost (3k+). I think it was highly underrated upon release and I'm starting to just now see people catch onto it. In car and drivers lightning laps 2017, it beat a brz with the performance package and was only 3 seconds behind a wrx with the performance package. So it can keep a beat with the wrx and has more room and is faster than a brz for the same cost, worth a serious look.
Awesome! I've seen some nice looking SIs out there already. A lot of these manufacturers underrate their turbo engines now, wouldn't surprise me if this one had more than 205 HP.
Same color owner here. Three major win over last gen for me are the sharp steering, interior quality and the instant surge at low end torque. I agree that black fake vents on the rear bumper are dumb.. First time at this channel. Thanks for the content!
White with the black trim is a winner. Even though VTEC is gone, the low-end torque is definitely welcomed. Thanks for joining and make sure you subscribe!
I'm very seriously considering purchasing this car (coupe version only) at the end of the year, when they'll be on clearance. I've seen a few reviews on this car in years from '17-19, and I think this guy did the best one.
Major Advice: I've had my 19 Si for a year now. IF you plan on doing any power increase to the car , the factory clutch will start to slip sooner than later and can't even really handle a stage 1 tune. If you want to get more power out of the car it will make more power easily, but you will have to install a new clutch soon after.
I just bought a 2019 SI Coupe in that same pearl white color a few days ago. I'm very happy with it. The one thing I would have liked would have been embedded navigation, however I'm getting used to the Android auto Google Maps and it has a cool feature with satellite view for the maps which I think is pretty awesome and more than makes up for not having its own invented navigation. In the past I have had a 2006 SI Coupe and a 2013 SI Coupe. I was really not that impressed in the long term for the 2013. I did really like the 2006 when I had it. That being said I think the 2017 and up SI is the best yet. I think they look great in sedan and Coupe forms. I would have also liked to have seen the Honda Safety Systems available and the SI, but a great overall value and a good fun little car.
This is fun. I usually just watch you for crypto but here i am looking for a new car, and here you are! 😂 Thanks George! I think this Civic Si is the one for me. Great review 10/10. We are all George!
Good car evaluation. My take: 1. Phony intake grill is ugly. 2. If you have a 6-speed shifter, you should get an analog speedometer and matching analog tachometer. 3. Small trunk. Give me a 2 or 4-door SUV-like look. I can wait, and I will.
I have a '16 EX and I love it. I have been seriously thinking of upgrading to an Si. This video just convinced me. None of the cons presented here are even worth my consideration.
The front end is the best part of that car. The sedans rear is hideous. Almost bought one of these off the showroom floor but I just couldn’t get past the looks.
You put it so well man! The human element in driving is being pushed aside. People forget just how nice it actually is to shift yourself, to be in control of the car to a much higher degree. :)
I'm really thinking of purchasing a new Si coupe. Imo it's the most affordable, most well equipped brand new vehicle money can buy. A few things I don't like (for example cloth seats) but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives
I have the 2019 SI and the aggressive looking front end is my favorite aspect of the car. The back end not so much. I really get off on hearing the turbocharged motor wind out. Thanks for cool review.
Lol I was watching your crypto stream and I was shopping on my phone for a new car and then I look up a review and it's your car channel lmaooo ty George we are all george
My biggest gripe is that the regular civic and civic si are too close in numbers while the type R is way out in front. I was expecting the civic si to make about 230-250 out the factory. I understand the turbo, but you cant have trim levels too close together.
But the Sport Hatchback with a 6 speed makes 180 hp. For the price, going right to the SI over the hatch (they should’ve made the SI a hatch) is a no brainer, but they really should’ve upped the power...
Drivers Only no doubt on the joy part. All the Si’s have their own strength. High revving, vtec, mods are endless. I just think they need to get past the 205 HP. We need more. 250 HP is a dream so I’ll expect 230HP
Rence Fabian The hatch stage is for every stage lol. They’re just so friggin practical, as long as they’re not a botched hatch that’s effectively useless.
Good Review! I'm more curious about your camera set up. Is your GoPro session turning automatically? or is the mounting screw just loose? What external microphone are you using on the windshield mounted GoPro? Thanks!
Not hating on the civic but why not get a wrx for just a bit more. Awd and 268hp. Thats a real question id like a real answer because I'm looking at both. Thanks.
just tested 2019 civic si, 2018 wrx and 2016 gti. civic si felt like you're a pilot in the cockpit when driving and had best shifter and clutch out of the three. wrx felt very planted with its low center of gravity and definitely packs more of a punch when you hit the gas. gti felt like a good balance between the 2 but just kind of felt numb driving. wrx clutch is HEAVY compared to the other two. drove the civic si like i had driven it my whole life and rev matches came effortlessly {never driven a honda manual before}. wrx on the other hand took some getting used to and i was just more hesitant in general driving it. that old saying "its more fun to drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slow" came to mind in the wrx. barely even gave it gas and i was already doing 70, couldn't really wring out all the gears without fear of getting a ticket haha. also if you drive a lot for work/school the civic will save you 500-1000 a year in gas alone so have to put that into total cost of ownership. overall thoughts are: Civic SI: sporty, practical, cheapest to own over course of ownership. WRX: fast, looks great, least dailyable out of all unless you dont mind a heavy clutch. gti: meh. maybe i should have tested a newer one but first thing that happened when i turned it on was a low oil pressure code and it only had 15000 miles haha. supposed to be cpo'd as well so just kinda left a bad taste in my mouth and will not be purchasing a vw even if they are decently reliable.
The Civic is a sports car on a budget now. I was looking into the WRX & the Si offers so much more. I felt like the WRX was the STI's left overs. It looks so plain, overpriced, & cheap.
I like the Si version better then the Type R. And i grew up with the ITR and CTR as my favorites. But this Si model to me is better. More subtle. Better price to quality and styling. Could have more HP but it is an Si so that comes with it.
Subbing. I know their whole family. Great people to work for. I worked for the Infiniti of Lyle store back in the day. Nice review however I’m not a big fan of the new design. Hate the fake vents!
When I start building up my credit I will get this civic si love the car the only thing I don’t like is the front fake vents but will get used to that and the thing I love about this civic is a Manual transmission and more fun to ride along and cruise
Fake engine noises are never welcome. It would be nice if it sounded better but I would rather them keep it quiet like it is Instead of adding speaker sounds.
I have the Civic Sport; not quite an SI but still fun and can get about 40mpg if I drive slow haha. With that said if you put it in sport mode and beat on the car it will get about 32mpg which is great when you are averaging 90mph.
Lol must be nice. My Si gets 27.1 mpg just normal driving in the city but once I floor it in Sport Mode... It quickly starts going down. I think I could get 40mpg but it's not made to save gas so 😅
I think Honda Engineers made a very big mistake with those boomerang tail-lights. On a side note: I hate my 19" Accord Sport tail lights too. The Civic Si has amazing lines, its those stupid vents front and back, and the tail lights. YUCK
naticedog oohh okay, I might coupe then I do have 1 kid too but Im gonna use the car myself both great Just want to be different from my previous cars, thank for response.
I have the 2019 SI, the Canadian model which has wireless charging deck for your phone and navigation and XM radio built in, as well as LED headlights which look much cooler in my opinion. Go Alliston ON!
@@Madworld001 well I was looking at my local honda dealership here in Ontario and it's around 31000 cad. So roughly around the same price as what the guy in the video said.
Boii 1 Better for what? An STi has over 100 more hp and AWD. It’s much faster. The Civic Type R is a better comparison to it. Not the Si. The Si will be more economical with cheaper maintenance and better gas mileage. I think Honda has a better reputation with reliability, but that’s my opinion.
Steering wheel feels like "vinyl"?? Must be his first car with a leather steering wheel...LOL....I have a 18 SI and it feels very similar to my Challenger RT leather steering wheel.
You sure your RT doesn't have vinyl? I've reviewed over a dozen cars over the past few months and REAL leather feels different. Plus I've owned dozens of cars in my lifetime.
@@DriversOnly No.....no RT comes with a vinyl wheel..I used to work at a Dodge dealer. Theres different types of leather though.... Gotcha beat, I've owned over 75 cars my friend.😊
Ah no. The wheel is of very good leather in fact. Almost a year old and my Si still has that tinge of leather smell. But then mine is the more desirable Canadian Si. Could be we also get better leather. Your the only one to complain of the leather in this car...pretty strange
If you can't drift, just don't do (focus RS). If you can't do a burnout, just don't (Mustang)! Aaaaand, finally: if you can't heeltoe, just get a kia and be happy. All this automatic, modern crap...
Can someone explain why people praise 200 HP Civic but shit on 200HP Frs/BRZ/86 that claims it lacks power? I feel like it’s cool to love a civic but it’s also cool to hate on the cars mentioned before. I need a clear explanation, not just “oh the frs looks fast but it wasn’t” cause it really doesn’t. Is it cause it was RWD? Are RWD cars supposed to be more than 200HP?
Because the BRZ feels slow. It has a 50TQ deficit vs the 1.5 in the Civic, and the torque dip on the BRZ does it no favors. It really needed a factory turbo in 2013 when it released, and it absolutely needs a turbo now. That car is in dire need of a redesign. The BRZ is more fun in the corners due to it being RWD. The dynamics of RWD vs FWD on the Si are superior. In other words... RWD is simply more fun. But the Si just has what most people consider "usable" power. And I believe it is easier to achieve respectable gains with simply a $650 tuner device.
Numbers don’t tell the whole truth especially peak HP. However, Torque curve and peak are the better consideration for daily driving. Its better to test drive both and see what you can live with. For example, WRX has better HP and torque, 0-60, awd, but it also has the torque dip and the turbo pulls timing around 4500 rpm(same spot as torque dip). So daily driving and spirited driving were not going to be as fun when compared to the Si. But I only realized this after driving both cars and paying attention to what I was experiencing. But enmass90 covered most of this. Hope that helps!
Great car except for the rear. It just makes no sense that they took those huge plastic pieces from the hatches and tacked them onto the sedan. It just totally ruins the look. They should have given the Si sedan the same bumper treatment as the Si Coupe which is way better.
My only real issue with this car, and buying it here in the US is that the Canadian version is better. Halogen lights still without the option of the LED's??? Come on :(
i have the 8th gen civic with almost close to 200k miles on the clock and test drove the new 2019 Si last week for a whole hour and it was a mix bag its great power for the city street gets up and moves you pretty quick to 3omph but after that the engine just loves to rev hang the infotainment is crap and slow and clutery not as good as the accords new infotainment or the insight electronic parking brake actually failed on the car i tested in -20f weather i parked on a hill 3 times just to make sure it wasnt me and nope didnt hook from the cold and had to put it in 1st then leave it and i really dont like doing that and my final gripe is the tuning from the engine is pretty bad compared to a gti 2.0t the car loves to cut timing and looses power after 4.5k revs but a 2.0t accord sport and gti 2.0t both rev all the way to the redline smoothly i think i would rather wait for the next gen Si in a few years cause this Si is not cutting it at all

Actually it's 215 horsepower if you add a red Honda emblem to your steering wheel.
If you a big rear spoiler, you'll get 12 more hp, 3 hp on tinted windows, 10 more hp with carbon fiber hood, and 5 hp if switch out standard headlights to LED.
Don't forget the massive 20hp you get from the AutoZone cold air intake
lose 10 hp by adding a subwoofer and amp but adds15 more hp by adding your car club decal

Awesome to hear! This new SI is an outstanding car.
I just picked up a 2019 Si sedan and I love everything about it
Love the SI. I have. 13. Be getting a new one probably in a year.
They updated the plastic from the steering air bag cover.. finally.
On my 2017 hatchback the plastic is awful “glossy” cheap plastic. Anyone else?
Nice, simple and comprehensive review. I like it.
The front end is the best part of that car. The sedans rear is hideous. Almost bought one of these off the showroom floor but I just couldn’t get past the looks.
Yea the rear bumper needs work.
The Coupe rear looks so much better on the si
Ya, rear bumper is retarded
I don’t like the fake vents on the front and rear bumpers or the hdmi style exhaust tip.
I didn't like the look of it either to be honest, but the look of the coupe really grew on me
I bought this car yesterday in blue! I love it !
Great review. Thanks! I'm picking my '19 SI sedan (Aegean blue!) up on Friday!!
Nice, congrats!
Did you made a down payment? And how much do you pay monthly? I want one.
@@paguetty around $2300-$2800 down with Around $400 a month at the lowest for 60 months.
George! I enjoy your crypto videos and just got a civic si coupe also. Thanks for keeping us informed in many ways!
You put it so well man! The human element in driving is being pushed aside. People forget just how nice it actually is to shift yourself, to be in control of the car to a much higher degree. :)
Thanks! Yes banging the gears is just nice :).
I'm really thinking of purchasing a new Si coupe. Imo it's the most affordable, most well equipped brand new vehicle money can buy. A few things I don't like (for example cloth seats) but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives
Yup positives do outweigh the negatives for sure. SI is a fun car.
Love my SI coupe. Great drive.
Nice video. Loved driving these when I worked at the Honda dealer.
That mobile cupholder is so I can put my 40oz in the cupholder. Haha jk. Don't drink and drive kids.
Nice review, man. Appreciate it!
Just ordered mine today.. Can't wait. 😉
You're going to love the Si.
I wish they use the same rear bumper design like the coup. That chunk of plastic on the sedan is an eye sore...
Manual vehicles are a pretty decent anti-theft vehicles, especially if you swap the shifter knob with a dildo, best anti-theft add on.
Stick is always more fun.
Except in traffic.
Fuckin traffic.
Haha
My biggest gripe is that the regular civic and civic si are too close in numbers while the type R is way out in front. I was expecting the civic si to make about 230-250 out the factory. I understand the turbo, but you cant have trim levels too close together.
True but I wouldn't be surprised if the engine was underrated on purpose. Plus the 6 speed makes it a real joy to drive.
D. Utley I was thinking the same. Sedan Si, Coupe Si, why not the Hatch Si? Personally it’s the best look. Or maybe I’m in the hatch stage in my life.
Rence Fabian The hatch stage is for every stage lol. They’re just so friggin practical, as long as they’re not a botched hatch that’s effectively useless.
If the exhaust stuck out too much, it could get damaged or hit. At least it is protected under the bumper.
Not if it's out an inch or two more. It's really tucked in.
Good Review! I'm more curious about your camera set up. Is your GoPro session turning automatically? or is the mounting screw just loose?
What external microphone are you using on the windshield mounted GoPro?
Thanks!
Ha it was just loose on the mount.
They need to upgrade the infotainmen system . It's my only gripe about the civic for that price point.
Is that you george? “I am george, we’re all george”. Dang i didnt know you had a car channel!!
Thank you, getting this within 2 weeks.
Nice congrats!
Not hating on the civic but why not get a wrx for just a bit more. Awd and 268hp. Thats a real question id like a real answer because I'm looking at both. Thanks.
FYMFLBISS1 me too. The interior in civic is what is kinda making me go for it.
just tested 2019 civic si, 2018 wrx and 2016 gti. civic si felt like you're a pilot in the cockpit when driving and had best shifter and clutch out of the three. wrx felt very planted with its low center of gravity and definitely packs more of a punch when you hit the gas. gti felt like a good balance between the 2 but just kind of felt numb driving. wrx clutch is HEAVY compared to the other two. drove the civic si like i had driven it my whole life and rev matches came effortlessly {never driven a honda manual before}. wrx on the other hand took some getting used to and i was just more hesitant in general driving it. that old saying "its more fun to drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slow" came to mind in the wrx. barely even gave it gas and i was already doing 70, couldn't really wring out all the gears without fear of getting a ticket haha. also if you drive a lot for work/school the civic will save you 500-1000 a year in gas alone so have to put that into total cost of ownership. overall thoughts are: Civic SI: sporty, practical, cheapest to own over course of ownership.
@@stratussx i wish they had a hand brake.... absolutely no playing in the snow and that saddens me.
Honda of Lisle! Is that the Morton Arboretum parking lot? Close to home! Great review man
Thanks!
I like the Si version better then the Type R. And i grew up with the ITR and CTR as my favorites. But this Si model to me is better. More subtle. Better price to quality and styling. Could have more HP but it is an Si so that comes with it.
Bro keep up the good work!!
Will do! Thanks for the support.
Almost bought one exactly the same but I couldn’t get passed the rear end. Ended up buying a 2015 si sedan
The new civics drive a lot better. I might get one!
Same! Rear end is probably the worst looking of all the past Si s
Need to give the rear a redesign, especially lose the ugly fake vents! 6 speed manual is good, we all need to boycott CVTs.
The front of the New Civic SI looks very similar to the Civic Type R, but without the Red colors and accents.
Yup a bit toned down but still looks very edgy and aggressive.
No shit Sherlock.
Subbing. I know their whole family. Great people to work for. I worked for the Infiniti of Lyle store back in the day. Nice review however I’m not a big fan of the new design. Hate the fake vents!
Thanks and welcome DJ! 2020s also have the fake vents but with a painted crossbar which I think hides it a bit.
When I start building up my credit I will get this civic si love the car the only thing I don’t like is the front fake vents but will get used to that and the thing I love about this civic is a Manual transmission and more fun to ride along and cruise
Its a blast for sure. Manual shifting is very enjoyable.
Coupe is best SI
A M why is it better
Gotta add decals for more horsepower
that is such a nice car. thanks, mate!
Wish Honda would make a V6 Accord turbo coupe with a six speed manual. That thing would sell like crazy!
I agree! I think Honda would be afraid that it cuts into Type R sales. But man it would be good...
@@DriversOnly For sure!!
There is the 2.0 turbo Accord w/ a 6 speed. 252 HP and 273 TQ seems like it would be pretty great to me.
@@wampler11 it is😁
no one bought the accord coupe so keep wishing Honda wont ever make high powered economic coupes like that again
Great review!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks!
Great video, keep it coming.
Thanks David!
Fake engine noises are never welcome. It would be nice if it sounded better but I would rather them keep it quiet like it is Instead of adding speaker sounds.
Natural is always better :)
This has fake sounds???why!
@@westwood3286 no it doesnt have fake sounds, that's a good thing.
I think I could get 40mpg but it's not made to save gas so 😅
Thanks for sharing the content!
Thanks for the support!
I hate push button e-brakes. Grew up with a good ol hand brake. Miss my Integra big time
Nothing comes close to an integra these days
@@DriversOnly if they only gave the Fit the SI treatment... 🤔🤔🤔
Bought one a blue so and I loved it
Nice!
About to buy a silver one
Honda ruined the Civic’s look with 2022 refresh-now it’s boring which is comparable to the Corolla. Boring.
Will a normal Civic EX rear bumper fit this SI?
How good is this car in the winter???
FWD, it'll be fine.
I think Honda Engineers made a very big mistake with those boomerang tail-lights. On a side note: I hate my 19" Accord Sport tail lights too. The Civic Si has amazing lines, its those stupid vents front and back, and the tail lights. YUCK
Thomas Armour why did u buy yours?
@@brianbuchert6382 because when I bought the new LED smoked tail lights. It became a new look altogether. And the rest of the Accord is beautiful.
FFS - it's a 4 door. You can't gauge the looks of a 2 door while reviewing a 4 door because the 2 door has a different body.
Imma bout to buy In two
months which is better coupe or sedan?
saintballadeer milkovich, i bought the sedan, but I have kids and it’s super convenient.
Comes down to preference and needs
naticedog oohh okay, I might coupe then I do have 1 kid too but Im gonna use the car myself both great Just want to be different from my previous cars, thank for response.
I like the sedan better but its really up to your taste.
Drivers Only question sir, If I get the coupe is it more insurance than sedan?
When did $25k become cheap & affordable for everyone?
The time when most cars cost $20k for the base model.
That's beautiful
2015 Civic Si coupe is hands down best looking Si
I have a 2017 Ridgeline and want to give it a 2;inch lift in front a 1 inch in rear and upgrade tires what are your suggestions?
Aaron Repper trade it in for a tundra
Yup, your right one bad truck
I have the 2019 SI, the Canadian model which has wireless charging deck for your phone and navigation and XM radio built in, as well as LED headlights which look much cooler in my opinion. Go Alliston ON!
Wow! Wonder why so many extra features for Canadian models?
Is the price the same? As US model?
@@Madworld001 well I was looking at my local honda dealership here in Ontario and it's around 31000 cad. So roughly around the same price as what the guy in the video said.
I don’t see much of an issue with the front but the back is a horror show with the tacked on plastic “style pieces”.
I agree. The back bumper doesn't look quite right.
So what’s the difference between the Civic SI and the Civic sports
LSD, more powerful mother and exterior looks.
It looks to have the same issue that I have with my current vehicle. Lots of blinding Chrome or silver interior
Whats faster or better 2018 Subaru wrx sti or this car 2019 civics si can some1 lmk and help
@@DriversOnly
No.....no RT comes with a vinyl wheel..I used to work at a Dodge dealer.
What does the horn sound like? I hate the tinny beep sound!
It's a deep beep but I think Honda has the best horns. My 06 Civic was stupid loud which I loved.
If you can't drift, just don't do (focus RS).
If you can't do a burnout, just don't (Mustang)!
Aaaaand, finally: if you can't heeltoe, just get a kia and be happy.
All this automatic, modern crap...
haha...nice
Can someone explain why people praise 200 HP Civic but shit on 200HP Frs/BRZ/86 that claims it lacks power? I feel like it’s cool to love a civic but it’s also cool to hate on the cars mentioned before. I need a clear explanation, not just “oh the frs looks fast but it wasn’t” cause it really doesn’t. Is it cause it was RWD? Are RWD cars supposed to be more than 200HP?
More torque from the turbo?
Because I have 17 sport and have beat every brz that has raced me. They have very little torque, which makes them slow off the line.
naticedog helps a lot thanks man! Better than most people just saying. I’m new to the whole car enthusiast thing so I’m barely learning the ropes
New to cars but can a civic be an automatic to?
Not the SI. the lower models yes.
Hell no. The si and type r are meant for car enthusiast and tuners. They're never gonna put a shit autobox in their track cars.
No one gonna mention the huge micro usb port on the back?
You mean HDMI?
@@maxyu5662 Lol, it's kinda similar in shape 😆
Great car except for the rear. It just makes no sense that they took those huge plastic pieces from the hatches and tacked them onto the sedan. It just totally ruins the look. They should have given the Si sedan the same bumper treatment as the Si Coupe which is way better.
The 8th gen was the last true Si
Why not the 9th gen? I own a 2014 model.
@@Tjtjboy the 8th gen still has a high revving motor.
7000 rpms is not high enough to be considered an si?
Doesnt matter when you build a k24 bottom end and k20 top fanboi
new si same price as 1998 integra type r, but get alot more.
Bro! I bought my first 10th gen from there lol.....want to review my 09 civic si?
Debating on the civic si sedan or coupe
Should I get this or the 9th gen
Take this one out for a test drive and see. I really didn't miss VTEC, I like this new turbo engine.
My only real issue with this car, and buying it here in the US is that the Canadian version is better. Halogen lights still without the option of the LED's??? Come on :(
True however I replaced the bulbs to HIDs for like $40 bucks, works like a charm.
Turn the traction control off and the car feels even better.
Brace yourselves for the "but it doesn't have VTEC" comments
Not one so far lol
People who whine about VTEC havent driven the new SI.......it feels FASTER than a VTEC because the power is way down low, where u use it most!!
i have the 8th gen civic with almost close to 200k miles on the clock and test drove the new 2019 Si last week for a whole hour and it was a mix bag its great power for the city street gets up and moves you pretty quick to 3omph but after that the engine just loves to rev hang the infotainment is crap and slow and clutery not as good as the accords new infotainment or the insight electronic parking brake actually failed on the car i tested in -20f weather i parked on a hill 3 times just to make sure it wasnt me and nope didnt hook from the cold and had to put it in 1st then leave it and i really dont like doing that and my final gripe is the tuning from the engine is pretty bad compared to a gti 2.0t the car loves to cut timing and looses power after 4.5k revs but a 2.0t accord sport and gti 2.0t both rev all the way to the redline smoothly i think i would rather wait for the next gen Si in a few years cause this Si is not cutting it at all
SavagexRaccoon I also heard there are problem with these new manuals. And Honda threw out its reliability with these small turbo engine.
TimeVampire its all new tech and electronics and less mechanical parts which will make it last less and cost more to replace
450$ k tuner will make the new civic si an unbelievable perfection in every way
Whoa when did Sofyan gain so much weight
wutdafeezi 😝
does it come with automatic?
I'll stick to my 2015 si sedan👍
Same
nice review
