Shoulder & Neck Tension Release Yoga Class - Five Parks Yoga

  • This 25+ minute yoga class begins with deep breathing before moving into neck side stretches and neck rolls. Downward Facing Dog strengthens the shoulders while lengthening the spine and neck. Enjoy rag doll pose to lengthen and relax your entire spine and neck. Low and high cobra stretch and strengthen the neck and chest. Childs pose and embryo pose not only stretch your neck and shoulders but also your hips and low back. Of course, enjoy a satisfying savasana at the end of this yoga class.     This is my favorite yoga video. I do it every 2 weeks or so (at least) to release tension from sitting all day. So so good. ❤️

    This was the first time I cried heavy tears during Savasana, but I feel a lot lighter because of it. This practice really brought my emotions to the surface and I feel like a lot of them were released. Thank you so much for this beautiful class! ❤

    Woke up with a terrible migraine yesterday. It's fairly easy to bounce back from the headache itself, but the lingering nausia and cramping in the neck is a whole other ballgame. Really needed this.

    Excellent neck strength and stretch video! I have 2 level cervical disc fusion and have been doing 5 parks yoga pre and post surgery. I showed my doctor some exercises and he agreed that it would be beneficial for healing. While I can’t do the full movements, I am gentle and stretch to the moment of tension....then ease up a little. Thanks again for bringing new videos Erin, I enjoy practicing with you.

    I'm sure your way to busy to even respond, but I had to try. I am a 43-year-old teacher, wife, and mother. I have been wanting to try Yoga for years but always felt I was not skinny enough. With this Corona thing, I was looking for a way to relax and relieve stress when I found your TH-cam channel.
    Being a beginner, I was wondering if you had any suggestions for me from your videos. I had gastric bypass 10 years ago, but still have pretty thick thighs and hips. A lot of loose skin. Thank you for taking the time to read this. How can I become a supporter?

      Everyone has different body types...length of arms, legs etc. You should simply allow your body to go as far as it can 'comfortably' for each pose and session . Over time, you will be quite surprised how much progress you will make. We all start at day ZERO....sometimes I go weeks without, then I get back into it and Yoga quickly allows your mind and body to reset. Best of luck in your Journey, take is slow and steady.
