I’ve “remained concerned” about Kody’s relationship with his step-daughters for a while. It absolutely blew my mind that he will pick her up and carry her upstairs and lay in bed and help her with a panic attack…. But when it comes to Ysabel’s surgery he’s like- okay see ya later. That’s bizarre and everyone knows it. For a man to show such little concern for his own children, but become hyper-focused on his step-children is utterly baffling. He’ll toss Janelle’s older boys out of the house no problem, but Dayton and Breanna and Aurora are encouraged to stay in the house at all times. Make it make sense. Robyn really creeps my out. I can’t put my finger on it exactly but she makes my skin crawl.
I absolutely agree and it's been awhile since I watched the episode but I feel like the comment was made about Kody being the only one that can calm her down when she gets like that. And I know people suffer from anxiety I have dealt with it myself, but it just goes to show exactly how sheltered these kids are at something so minor being able to throw her into a full-blown panic attack like that.
There's something so wrong about this. If you live in a sheltered lifestyle I haven't heard if these kids even have friends? You don't have Anxiety for Nothing something has had to happen to her. Maybe she didn't want to be adopted she had/has a father and for every little girl, Daddy is there Prince and S Robyn took that away from her and also not letting her be around the other Brown children. This whole thing stinks to high heaven! And for the Niece/Nanny get a life.
My panic attacks really started when I was working full time & in college. I didn’t have a support system & I was very isolated emotionally in an abusive relationship. I think Robyn’s kids are breaking under all of the nonsensical fears of the real world. Kody’s constant presence, instead of her biological father, could be the trigger for a lot of this anxiety. Bless her heart. I really hope Robyn’s girls can get out of that home.
Well Sobin is kind of like a call girl treating Kody as her best customer so she has be ready all the time, so Mindy/nanny has to be there to watch the kids. Just saying 🤔

That's not why she has a nanny. She has someone to watch her kids while she goes upstairs and takes care of her best customer. I'm not joking either. She has said herself many times that this is how she keeps Kody happy. She said she does things the other wives didn't want to do or like to do. By being at Kody's beckon call. She gets what she wants. She doesn't have to work. She has the big house, she has money to spend, or at least she did when the other three were contributing. It's a different story now. That land at coyote pass has a balloon payment due June 23rd. I'm really curious to see what he's going to do about that. If he can't pay it, it all goes back to the previous owner. I have a feeling he'll let it go.
Do you guys remember when mykelti got bucked off the horse and kody went to soothe the horse first and ignored mykelti crying in agony because she hurt her back? But aurora has a panick attack and kody rushes to the rescue🙄
Sorry, but Mykelti seems better off than Aurora. None of the OG 13 are having panic attacks or sucking on binkies. They’re out living life, and despite their very real challenges, I think the way they were raised is healthier than being pampered and isolated in their home.
This EXACTLY is what's been worrisome to me since I saw his lips on that little girl's mouth. He doesn't ever kiss his own girls, according to Gwen, who is his own college-age daughter. She said he "would NEVER." well, he did! There's a photo. What does he do when there's no camera? I understand no cameras are allowed in that house. Why? What's being 'done in the dark'? When he hadn't seen the one girl for 10 days (she had been in another room, for gosh sake!) they FELL INTO EACH OTHER'S ARMS, sobbing! That's flipping insane! He hadn't been deployed for a year to the desert. He was in another ROOM, in the same house. For 10 days.
It’s one thing to assume but when you don’t know for sure it’s quite inflamatory to go on and on about nasty stuff like this. It involves children, and the only thing for certain is that people are making discusting accusations about them on the internet!
Interesting to me that in every picture of Robyn’s kids with Kody, Dayton is always on the outside alone while Kody and the girls are circled up and embracing. It’s like Dayton isn’t even acknowledged while he’s right there in the photo!
Not to defend them and I have no knowledge of their specific situation. But physical contact can be extremely difficult and stressful for autistic people, I wonder if Dayton wanted to be hugged or if he preferred to have a little more space because that makes him more comfortable. You can’t always judge by where people stand in photos or how much they hug.
Just watching Gabriel in tears from the way Kody treats him says it all. It has been proven that woman are treated like property in the polygamist groups. So yes Kody has his little minions watching to see what is being said about his family. Far too long this family has tried to convince its audience that they were different, they are not. And you have every right to be concerned about the older adopted girls. They have an unstable mother and its been hard to watch these girls grow up listening to lies that have been told to them. And for any family member like Mindy who isnt even practicing polygamy to not notice these things is a very dense person. She should be protecting them.
I think Kody really don't want to pay attention to Gabe. One possible reason is: Gabe was the youngest from Janelle when she had her first separation from the Brown family (which lasted for 2-3 yrs). This means Gabe spent his early childhood in a single parent environment, much like Truely. We all know how Kody neglected Truely and really didn't care about her back then and probably now. Fathers establish connections with their children largely after the birth, and 0-3 years old period is crucial. Those who skip their sons' toddler period tend to have difficulties in later father-son relationship. Also Gabe was obviously very against the move to Flagstaff, which definitely made Kody unhappy.
@@nagatomutsu844 Kody does not have a relationship with any of his grown children, except 1 and she's married and also was the nanny for Robin when she was young. So I will have to say that IMO the way he has treated Gabe he has also treated the older children as well. All from Christine, Janell and Meri. The only children he has treated well is the 3 adopted children from Robyn's 1st marriage and the 2 he has with Robin.
@@cheryleaston6820 Kody's been irresponsible for years. But before Ronyn, and even in the early stage of Robyn dominance, Kody did have some feelings about Maddie, Logan and Leon. You may check the early seasons. But Gabe is really an exceptionally neglected child even by Kody standards. The one grown child you're talking about is Mykelti, who actually was clearly not a favourite child in the early dynamic. She's very jealous of Maddie and Leon. Because of this particular position, she was used by Robyn as a resource and insider to gain leverage when dealing with older children and Christine (Robyn is really a devil, she turns Mykelti against her own mum in some way). Mykelti wanted her father's attention desperately, whereas other grown children all cut ties, that indicates Mykelti's low self-esteem and her previous position of vulnerability in the family.

I don't think Kody would ever marry Robyn's daughters because he legally adopted them, but I would not be surprised if he trafficked them to friends, or someone else within the church

The nanny is performing all the "mom duties" that Sobyn can't cause she's stuck in the bedroom "treating The Kodster as her best customer." Sobyn is employed in the oldest profession." She performing as a sex worker to keep The Kodster happy.
There is something really wrong with this family.Normally I would say Kody's closeness with his adopted kids is wonderful. The crap thing about it is that he doesn't love his other kids nearly as much as these. It has to be so hurtful to his other chidren.
His other children's mother's taught their children right and wrong to think for themselves! Robyn has already gotten so much control over her children that they only know and believe what Kody and Robyn tell them. They are not taught to think for themselves. They have obviously taught to be totally dependent on Kody and Robyn.

I can totally see Kody and Robyn using their daughters as a commodity and bartering them down the road. Maybe some rich old dude paying off certain debts in exchange for a daughter 😱🤢. My thoughts exactly. I'm sure Robyn would trade happily for a shopping spree and a couple trips to Victoria's secret. I feel like if the right offer came along she would pack everyone up and her and both older girls would marry some guy.
Private people don't star in reality shows. Sounds to me like they lost control of the narrative they wanted to portray and have since distanced from social media. 😅 The dances are a huge problem. I went as young as 8 to them and danced with adults many times.

If Kody has a brain, he will not take the oldest girl of Robyn as a new wife because he legally adopted Robyn’s children ( if this is not a lie from their tv show) as he could be accused of a crime. I remember sobbing telling Janelle she was supposed to not give her children a choice Abt school or church. Until a child is 25. Must demand the children follow their church rules. Of course she is grooming hers.
Eww. I just had a flashback of the conversation where Kody was explaining to Mykelti and her than boyfriend about the dangers of kissing before marriage. He told them when people kiss on the lips it releases "sex hormones" basically and can lead to other behaviors. Was he thinking of that when he held Brianna like a girlfriend while kissing her on the lips? Like yuk!! He shouldn't be kissing his daughters on the lips either way but especially his step daughters. How did Robyn allow that and because it seemed so natural for he and his step daughter to behave that way it makes me wonder ..is that a " normal" interaction for them? Does he plant those kisses on Aurora too? I can only imagine the tearful embrace he and Aurora had when they were brought to tears after the 10 days of missing each other . Tears? She was just downstairs for gods sake!! Not across the country!! It's all so gross to me .
Robyn doesn't care if she gets to rule & get all those shopping trips. She will toss her own daughters to the wolves as long as she gets what she wants. I don't think she cares about Kody being with other people, even her daughters, as long as she is the favorite & gets what she wants. Kody would be afraid to PO Robyn because she is legal. Kody's obsession with Robin's daughters has always given me the creeps...it doesn't seem like "fatherly" concern to me. And when people said there might be a mystery baby in the household...I, personally, didn't automatically think it was Robin's...I thought one of the daughters ...but no one ever proved there WAS a baby....but , the point is , there is always the "ick" factor where him and Robin's daughters are concerned ....just my opinion

I might be wrong, its been years since I watched earlier episodes, but im not sure its the wives saying kids have to leave at 18. I remember Kody saying early on when some of the older kids graduated that Kody's dad has the rule that when the boys hit 18 they were out of the house and that he had the same rule. I remember thinking then that it made sense that he would want the boys out when they got old enough to start to threaten his "Alfa" status.
Katie you are 100% spot on correct. It is common place that all the groups say they are different from the other groups When in fact they aren't. The abuse is inherent in polygamy. No matter how they try to smoke screen, it is polygamy its self which opens the doors to abuse.

If Kody ever pulled some creepy mess like this, they can kiss the show goodbye. No advertiser wants to be associated with a suspected groomer. This is a prime reason these fundy families should not be promoted on TV, there is too much sketchy business behind closed doors that will come out eventually. I doubt they'd lose the show. Look at what happened with the duggars. They knew Jim Bob wasn't paying the kids, they were raising their siblings, etc, not to mention Josh SA'd his sisters during the filming of the show. Even if TLC didn't know these things were happening at the time, they found out and still kept them on their channel. People want to see train wrecks.
TLC is about money, not scruples. This show is full of terrible things, and it's publically talked about by several TH-cam channels, so these findings aren't a secret. It's either a fake show or a very sick TV station with sick producers.
I’ve had so many people get pi$$ed when I mentioned that Kody might be grooming her, but there have been way too many signs that that might be what’s happening.

When Kody first brought Robyn into the family I was mildly interested but watching her I had a weird reaction where I felt panicked. I was abused by a narcissistic mother & watching Robyn I felt the same reaction to her as to my mother. I stopped watching but checked in occasionally to see if anything changed, nothing changed for me. Robyn creeps me out, Kody's reaction to his adopted children verus his biological children is night & day. No interest in his own biological children & massive interest in his adopted kids. I'm so sorry but his biological kids are doing great, raised by good mothers his biological children are proving how valuable, kind & just good adults that they are turning out to be. Going to college, paying their own ways, giving back & surrounding their moms with love. Kody ignores the accomplishment of his biological kids & tried to keep Truley solely to avoid child support. Ugh, he & Robyn deserve each other but her kids need to get away before they are forever handicapped emotionally.
I don’t know if you have heard of the show “Escaping Polygamy” but the very first episode in the series is about a girl who was about 18 years who was seeking help in escaping the AUB because she was being forced into marriage. There is an episode in a later season about a man and his family who are trying to leave the AUB and confirms that they have people stockpiling weapons. I have watched Sister Wives since day one and used to love the show. But in recent seasons it has become glaringly obvious just how dysfunctional this religion is. And it needs to be exposed.

Breanna and Aurora look so much like their bio dad. It's heartbreaking that they don't know him. I know him well, and he misses his kids dearly. Dayton needs a dad like Preston.

My friend lives with n Flagstaff and her son went to the same high school as these kids the first year they moved there. Flagstaff is small, and there are only a handful of “new kids” in any given school year, so naturally everyone notices them. The first day of school her son had attempted to talk to/flirt with two of the girls (I think it was Gwen and Aurora) not having any idea that they were sisters. The next day he was called into the principal’s office and was questioned about what he thought he was doing. He was just like “um…. I was just talking to them. They’re pretty girls, new to town. I didn’t know they were sisters”… I guess one of the moms (Robyn) had called the freaking school over it. My friend was pissed, they were making her son out to be a creep, which he is not, he was just a normal teenage boy. A little more extroverted than some, having the confidence to talk to a new pretty girl, but thats it. He had never seen the show, had no idea who these girls were. But ya, thats how tight of a grip Robyn has on her daughters purity. He was told that he was not to talk to either of the girls again. I don’t see Christine pulling anything like that - it’s likely that Gwen was just roped in to make it seem less weird. But can you even imagine??? Calling the school because a boy was trying to talk to your daughter? Scary. They were Juniors I think, so at least 15 or 16. Those poor kids.
Now that I think about it.. it was probably Kody who called. That’s actually pretty disturbing. Calling the school to make sure boys don’t talk to your step daughter? Serious red flag.
Wow! So Robin must interagate the kids after school, or it could be that her daughter was flattered by the attention and told her mom. Either way that shows the iron grip that Cody and Robin have on those kids(girls) It could've been Cody that made the complaint!
Can I just say how awkward and uncomfortable the picture of Meri, Christine and Janelle smiling at Robyn’s preggo belly makes me? Obviously it’s totally normal in polygamy but it’s just so weird like “yay I’m so excited that you slept with my husband and are expecting his baby!!” Polygamy is so messed up. If others from this same cult are feeling concerned about these kids then there is reason to be cautious for sure. They have lived the life & know the fear more then us on the outside looking in on tv. When there is a gut instinct 99.9% of the time its right & I have felt from day one they where hiding the kids from the rest of the family/show for a reason. I watched the first few shows just out of curiosity when they were in Vegas when they first started and then the last few months. I guess I did miss the show when they were all together in that house when Christine was the basement wife. Glad I didn't waste my time on ten years of this.

She left him with a ton of debt and when she started up with Cody he had remarried with 2 kids to provide for as well. He was probably also paying child support to Robin, where do you think he'd have money for an attorney?

My guess is her daughters are the only other females Robyn could tolerate sharing with Kody. Look at the power that would give her as the 1st wife. Viewers have been saying this about Aurora and Breanna for several seasons. If this is the case you won't be seeing the girls in case they are his new wives and get pregnant !! What judge would let a man with 15 children adopt 3 more? And could he marry his adopted daughter (well, spiritually I guess). I have felt he was after those girls too. The whole thing is very sick.
Professionals need to get involved......if there are minors in danger and being groomed child protection should get involved to let the world know what is really happening right in front of us. It's in the public domain with the consent from Kody, so it needs to be clear to the public what he's doing. The producers need to be accountable for what they are producing!

I’ve “remained concerned” about Kody’s relationship with his step-daughters for a while. It absolutely blew my mind that he will pick her up and carry her upstairs and lay in bed and help her with a panic attack…. But when it comes to Ysabel’s surgery he’s like- okay see ya later. That’s bizarre and everyone knows it. For a man to show such little concern for his own children, but become hyper-focused on his step-children is utterly baffling. He’ll toss Janelle’s older boys out of the house no problem, but Dayton and Breanna and Aurora are encouraged to stay in the house at all times. Make it make sense. Robyn really creeps my out. I can’t put my finger on it exactly but she makes my skin crawl.

I absolutely agree and it's been awhile since I watched the episode but I feel like the comment was made about Kody being the only one that can calm her down when she gets like that. And I know people suffer from anxiety I have dealt with it myself, but it just goes to show exactly how sheltered these kids are at something so minor being able to throw her into a full-blown panic attack like that.
There's something so wrong about this. If you live in a sheltered lifestyle I haven't heard if these kids even have friends? You don't have Anxiety for Nothing something has had to happen to her. Maybe she didn't want to be adopted she had/has a father and for every little girl, Daddy is there Prince and S Robyn took that away from her and also not letting her be around the other Brown children. My panic attacks really started when I was working full time & in college. I didn’t have a support system & I was very isolated emotionally in an abusive relationship. I think Robyn’s kids are breaking under all of the nonsensical fears of the real world. Kody’s constant presence, instead of her biological father, could be the trigger for a lot of this anxiety. Bless her heart. I really hope Robyn’s girls can get out of that home.

Sorry, but Mykelti seems better off than Aurora. None of the OG 13 are having panic attacks or sucking on binkies. They’re out living life, and despite their very real challenges, I think the way they were raised is healthier than being pampered and isolated in their home.

This EXACTLY is what's been worrisome to me since I saw his lips on that little girl's mouth. He doesn't ever kiss his own girls, according to Gwen, who is his own college-age daughter. She said he "would NEVER." well, he did! There's a photo. What does he do when there's no camera? I understand no cameras are allowed in that house. Why? What's being 'done in the dark'? When he hadn't seen the one girl for 10 days (she had been in another room, for gosh sake!) they FELL INTO EACH OTHER'S ARMS, sobbing! That's flipping insane! He hadn't been deployed for a year to the desert. He was in another ROOM, in the same house. For 10 days.
That relationship is beyond creepy. Perhaps social services or the cops need to look into this.

But physical contact can be extremely difficult and stressful for autistic people, I wonder if Dayton wanted to be hugged or if he preferred to have a little more space because that makes him more comfortable. You can’t always judge by where people stand in photos or how much they hug.

I think Kody really don't want to pay attention to Gabe. One possible reason is: Gabe was the youngest from Janelle when she had her first separation from the Brown family (which lasted for 2-3 yrs). This means Gabe spent his early childhood in a single parent environment, much like Truely. We all know how Kody neglected Truely and really didn't care about her back then and probably now. Fathers establish connections with their children largely after the birth, and 0-3 years old period is crucial. Those who skip their sons' toddler period tend to have difficulties in later father-son relationship. Also Gabe was obviously very against the move to Flagstaff, which definitely made Kody unhappy.

So I will have to say that IMO the way he has treated Gabe he has also treated the older children as well. All from Christine, Janell and Meri. You may check the early seasons. But Gabe is really an exceptionally neglected child even by Kody standards. The one grown child you're talking about is Mykelti, who actually was clearly not a favourite child in the early dynamic. She's very jealous of Maddie and Leon. Because of this particular position, she was used by Robyn as a resource and insider to gain leverage when dealing with older children and Christine (Robyn is really a devil, she turns Mykelti against her own mum in some way). Mykelti wanted her father's attention desperately, whereas other grown children all cut ties, that indicates Mykelti's low self-esteem and her previous position of vulnerability in the family.

I might be wrong, its been years since I watched earlier episodes, but im not sure its the wives saying kids have to leave at 18. I remember Kody saying early on when some of the older kids graduated that Kody's dad has the rule that when the boys hit 18 they were out of the house and that he had the same rule. I remember thinking then that it made sense that he would want the boys out when they got old enough to start to threaten his "Alfa" status.

Robyn creeps me out, Kody's reaction to his adopted children verus his biological children is night & day. No interest in his own biological children & massive interest in his adopted kids. I'm so sorry but his biological kids are doing great, raised by good mothers his biological children are proving how valuable, kind & just good adults that they are turning out to be. Going to college, paying their own ways, giving back & surrounding their moms with love. Kody ignores the accomplishment of his biological kids & tried to keep Truley solely to avoid child support. Ugh, he & Robyn deserve each other but her kids need to get away before they are forever handicapped emotionally.

I don’t know if you have heard of the show “Escaping Polygamy” but the very first episode in the series is about a girl who was about 18 years who was seeking help in escaping the AUB because she was being forced into marriage. There is an episode in a later season about a man and his family who are trying to leave the AUB and confirms that they have people stockpiling weapons. I have watched Sister Wives since day one and used to love the show. But in recent seasons it has become glaringly obvious just how dysfunctional this religion is. And it needs to be exposed.

Breanna and Aurora look so much like their bio dad. It's heartbreaking that they don't know him. I know him well, and he misses his kids dearly. Dayton needs a dad like Preston.
It's strange. I've thought for a long time that Kody was grooming the girls to take them for "wives." I thought that was why Robyn keeps the kids so isolated. There’s nothing she can defend. It’s clear those kids are sheltered, groomed, and guided/taught in a way that causes them to have anxiety. It’s very easy to see. They’re gonna grow up to be weirdos if they don’t leave home soon. They need to break free from their immediate surroundings and parental influence.

Wow! You just really opened my eyes to what is going on in these groups. Why would Robyn want to be in this religion. I know she is probably a narcissist, but she would know her daughters are her competition..
My friend lives with n Flagstaff and her son went to the same high school as these kids the first year they moved there. Flagstaff is small, and there are only a handful of “new kids” in any given school year, so naturally everyone notices them. The first day of school her son had attempted to talk to/flirt with two of the girls (I think it was Gwen and Aurora) not having any idea that they were sisters. The next day he was called into the principal’s office and was questioned about what he thought he was doing. He was just like “um…. I was just talking to them. They’re pretty girls, new to town. I didn’t know they were sisters”… I guess one of the moms (Robyn) had called the freaking school over it. My friend was pissed, they were making her son out to be a creep, which he is not, he was just a normal teenage boy. A little more extroverted than some, having the confidence to talk to a new pretty girl, but thats it. He had never seen the show, had no idea who these girls were. But ya, thats how tight of a grip Robyn has on her daughters purity. He was told that he was not to talk to either of the girls again. I don’t see Christine pulling anything like that - it’s likely that Gwen was just roped in to make it seem less weird. But can you even imagine??? Calling the school because a boy was trying to talk to your daughter? Scary. They were Juniors I think, so at least 15 or 16. Those poor kids.
Now that I think about it.. it was probably Kody who called. That’s actually pretty disturbing. Calling the school to make sure boys don’t talk to your step daughter? Serious red flag.
Wow! So Robin must interagate the kids after school, or it could be that her daughter was flattered by the attention and told her mom. Either way that shows the iron grip that Cody and Robin have on those kids(girls) It could've been Cody that made the complaint!
Can I just say how awkward and uncomfortable the picture of Meri, Christine and Janelle smiling at Robyn’s preggo belly makes me? Obviously it’s totally normal in polygamy but it’s just so weird like “yay I’m so excited that you slept with my husband and are expecting his baby!!” Polygamy is so messed up. If others from this same cult are feeling concerned about these kids then there is reason to be cautious for sure. They have lived the life & know the fear more then us on the outside looking in on tv. When there is a gut instinct 99.9% of the time its right & I have felt from day one they where hiding the kids from the rest of the family/show for a reason. Then to learn more about grooming part it’s like a bulb went on. 🤮
I watched the first few shows just out of curiosity when they were in Vegas when they first started and then the last few months. I guess I did miss the show when they were all together in that house when Christine was the basement wife. Glad I didn't waste my time on ten years of this.

My guess is her daughters are the only other females Robyn could tolerate sharing with Kody. Look at the power that would give her as the 1st wife. Professionals need to get involved......if there are minors in danger and being groomed child protection should get involved to let the world know what is really happening right in front of us. It's in the public domain with the consent from Kody, so it needs to be clear to the public what he's doing. The producers need to be accountable for what they are producing!
