Interesting fact: Brianna's mother Robyn has never been a submissive wife from Day 1 in the Brown family. Also Robyn's first marriage was destroyed by her excessive spending habits. Guess who's the submissive wife? Christine, the most ignored, humiliated and mistreated wife in the family. Robyn is such a hypocrite: she teaches others to be submissive but herself is way too transactional in everything she does!

My thoughts were then and remain so to this day is that she put publicly within the extended family members remembering that at the time those children of Robyn were new virtually unknown people to the family that in fact her oldest son Dayton was by her own public admissions conceived against her will meaning that even though they eventually married that as she was an unwilling participant in the sexual activity between them meaning in fact Dayton is the product of R**e before and after the marriage.
Couldn't she read the room. Didn't she see the faces of not only her own two eldest children but also those of the other wives,older children of the Brown family.
My heart sank then and I thought then that she had no compassion or realisation of how badly her ** teaching** was going to impact on those gathered. Her kids embarrassed by her comment of her being forced and his children expressions of discomfort and disbelief.

I’ll never forget watching the, “purity episode.” It is STILL the cringiest, most embarrassing thing that I’ve ever seen !! She is literally sitting there telling her children that they were basically a mistake that ruined her life!! I’ve always thought that the honest reason that Robyn ruined the family, was because of how different she parented her children compared to the other women. In the first episode all 3 of the wives make comments about how much they appreciate the other women for helping raise theirs kids, and how they all trust the other women to raise their kids if they weren’t able to. None of them have EVER said that about Robyn. Also, Meri, Christine & Janelle have always said that they don’t care if their kids were gay or straight, who they marry and what religion, if any, they follow. Robyn is the total opposite. Remember when she basically yelled at Maddie saying, “You can switch churches when you turn 18,” & Maddie looks at the other 3 adults & says, “ YOU guys have always told us we could choose whatever religion we want,” and Robyn says again, “When you turn 18.”… mind you, she had JUST came into the family !!!!

It falls under religious freedom. Brianna can make her own decisions about how she wants her life to go. However, if she does go down this fundamentalist polygamist path, I think she'll find herself regretting it at some point, because it's highly unlikely she's going to find a man that fulfills her idealistic "what I want in a man" list... it's more likely she'll wind up with someone worse than Kody.

Going back through the early episodes, Robyn seemed appalled that the other kids were raised to find their own beliefs. That told me so much about her and her girls future that early on. I think Kody already has Aurora in his fold and I think Breanna will be traded like horse flesh. Its disgusting.

The way Robin freaked out when the girls talked about not wanting to be plural wives, and that they got to make their own choices! I think that was a turning point for her kids being around the others. I feel like they were shown less after that. They never followed her kids story lines. I remember feeling unsettled from the beginning when Robyn's kids were introduced to the show. Breanna appeared to be very co-dependent to her mother. She went all in, wanting to be in Kody's presence, and called him "dad" so much quicker and less hesitant than the older ones. She needed her mother's approval and acknowledgment immensely, and I remember sensing that she almost courted Cody to make her mother happy.
Initially, she loved getting new siblings, and that's when her mother said on camera, "She can be a drama queen sometimes." I only saw an emotional kid wanting to be with other kids and getting sad when her parents wouldn't let her.
However, a few weeks later (TV show weeks, that is), when Robyn began creating and developing her narrative about her kids not being accepted by the other kids, Breanna's behavior changed radically. From love to be around them, she now glanced at them terrified, as if the siblings bullied her. It's plausible that her siblings sent comments her way - being around a nagging and übereager puppy IS annoying... However,
I remember the confused look in the other kids' eyes when she once sat on the floor, crying her heart out. They didn't understand what they had done to make her so overwhelmed.
That was the turning point, as I see it. That's when K + R started talking about how the other kids bullied her and didn't like the other two, and that's when we suddenly were shown scenes over some weeks where the boys "misbehaved." Furthermore, that's the time when Mykelti and the parents had arguments about her clothes and other choices she made - further on her "troubles with adjusting towards adulthood." (And Robyn manipulating her to believe that she was the only one who got her and wanted to help her out with the relationship to her father.
I've been worried for Breanna throughout all the episodes I've seen. She for sure has followed her mother's "advice" to "save it for the camera." Where the two others stayed more in the background and were more subtle and silent, Breanna went all in when the limelight was there, and it was a high-pitched energy around her that reminded me of a puppy that wanted to please its abusive owner.
Later in the show, Breanna became more of an introvert. Her smile disappeared, and when we saw it, it seemed stiff and fake. And she also became somewhat condescending with the others, always looking at Robyn and Kody for approval.
I thought I made too much of it, but these pins are DISTURBING! Maybe I saw and sensed something that really was there without really understanding it.
When did you ever get the sense Breanna was ever going to court Kody??????

The episode that Robyn went through that incredibly weird and awkward speech still haunts me to this day. The fact that she said all of that IN FRONT OF HER CHILDREN...is ridiculous. She was talking about THEIR DAD. How should those kids feel? Why wouldn't they think that they were also a mistake, just like it was for Robyn sleeping with him? I can't stand Kody or Robyn. They're perfect for each other.

You should understand that this has been going on since the creator of Mormonism, Joseph Smith, received his "revelation" from God that he must take plural wives. Ironically, his Book of Mormon says it is disgusting to God.
You should also know that Mormonism is NOT a Christian church, and it not recognized by either the Catholic Church nor any Protestant denominations as such because it rejects the tenets of Christianity.
Just because they added Jesus Christ's name into their church's name does not mean they believe in Christianity.

I said, 2 seasons ago, Crazy Kody was grooming both the oldest girls to become his concubines/spiritual wives, with their mother approving the actions and behaviors. You just explained all the wives are expected to serve their husband and create the children and then go out there and make the money but the guy is the head of the household! WTF, no man would ever be the head of the household if he can't hold down a job and provide for his family. I don't remember specific episode, but I remember Robyn getting mad in early episode when one of the other wives said they wouldn't push any of their kids into the lifestyle, it would totally their personal choice to live polygamy or not to.

Polygamy isn’t hard on a man. Being an accountable, involved with your children, loving husband and father monogamous Dad is much harder. Those Dads that help their equal partner on a daily basis and have a consistent job are the ones that have it hard.

Saving her virginity for marriage is one thing, but dating with a purpose and letting God decide sounds too familiar because of TLC’s other overwhelming family. My fear was not as much him finding a wife else where. I understand your reasoning about Robyn's oldest daughter as payment. I think that is an absolute best case scenario. Kody is a 3x loser on a woman he is unable to control completely. My fear is that this puts he and Robyn in control. A young woman via a barter scenario is still a wild card and I don't see he and Robyn taking that chance. I hope I am wrong.
