Mercy me, this is wayyyyy too much inspiration!! 😍 Your blankets are all so very beautiful; thanks for showing each one and explaining how each was made. I’d absolutely love a tutorial on your solid hexagon blanket, including joining and border. I’ve been wanting to make a blanket like that for ages. Can’t wait to see your video on it. Also: tutorials on your borders would be excellent! Each of them is so perfect for the blanket. I always struggle with finding the right borders. Anyway: Thanks for such an inspiring video! ❤
The title popped up in my feed and I was intrigued. Such talent you have been given! The next step on your journey could be to make and give your blankets to charity so others can feel the love. You’d be surprised at the stories that will come back to you about the blankets you’ve given out. I love the design of the Sampler Blanket and crochet a own blanket for me with also different squares and colors ❤ and wow, the disign of Sofies univers is also beautiful 😊

What an inspiration you are!! The hexagon blankets and starburst are my favourites, so they are now on my list of projects to ‘one day’ attempt! Thank you! 😊
I noticed that your giant granny square blanket doesn't have the crooked twist I see in so many granny blankets. Do you turn after every row? I loved all your blankets. I have so many wips......I hope this year to complete 2 or 3. 🤞
Yes I turn every round and I also only do chains in the corners and not between the 3dc groups along the side and that helps too. Don't stress too much about having lots of WIPs, I do the same, sometimes leaving them unfinished for years at a time. You'll get there eventually 🙂
Thank you so much for this video of all your blankets - so very inspiring!!! Thank you so much!!! Your blankets are so beautiful; I loved them. I'm 64 - but when I grow up I hope to have some crochet projects I can show off too. I loved all of them! Thank you!!!

All your blankets are beautiful. Thanks for the non curling tip. I’m making blankets ever so often but am thinking of doing more. I need to rotate my items as I want to crochet and knit everything I see. TFS
Oh wow! You’re so clever! I’m totally in love with your sampler blanket, the scalloped edge is stunning! Your Daisy blanket is my absolute favourite. I picked up the nickname Daisy while living in Australia. I’d love to make it v
Hi Meema, I just found your channel this morning. I'm thrilled!! Your blankets are just stunning. It's not possible to pick a favorite. They are all unique and beautiful. I'm now subscribed and looking forward to new videos!! Love from The Jersey Shore of New Jersey, USA ❤❤
New subscriber here! So inspired by this video, wow! Someone else who loves blanket making, hooray!❤ Really love your autumnal and soft colour palettes, so cosy and soothing to look at. I know what you mean about bright/busy designs. They're fun to make but subdued colours are much more comforting to have around.😊 Thanks for inspiring me! xxx
Oops. My first crochet blanket is going to be my interpretation of your hexadaisy blanket. I became medically boarded in 2016 and partial wheelchair user in 2019, so we have that in common. I knit blankets that i design the colourways for, and have a large plastic tub/tote of left overs I'm turning into daisy hexis. My "designing" is nothing special. I knit on the diagonal and print out an excel template with 20mm x 20mm squares and then go wild with a rular and coloured pencils to make diamonds and zigzag designs. I like to think maybe somewhat ndebele inspired growing up in the old transvaal of South Africa and seeing the beautifully decorated houses. I knit full single bed size blankets to donate to a charity dealing with all the gogos (grannies) that are left to care for grand and great grand kids for various reasons. I feel like there are loads of people knitting in the blankets for mandela day thing for kids, but no one makes good sized pretty blankets for adults and elderly. But if they lamd up in a child headed household, they can use it widthways for a few kids and its wide enough so hopefully taller kids will still keep warm.
I love the colors of your first project! It is beautiful. I am gifting my first giant granny square blanket to my son for Christmas this year. I love it. It alternates rows of deep amethyst with rows of Red Heart Parrot Stripe. I am now making a patchwork of solid shades of purple and blue grannies bordered with medium gray rows and edging which he will love. I am drawn to your large, drapey hex blanket. It is beautiful as are the rest. All of them folded together just look comforting to me. The very intricate one is so amazing and must have cost a fortune in yarn. Wow!! Very fun video. Thanks.
Have just discovered your channel and I’m tickled at how much our taste in colors, patterns, and techniques overlap. ❤ Looking forward to exploring your other videos. 😊
Hello Em🤗💕!! Within 2 minutes of watching you for the 1st time, I instantly felt so thankful to have had your channel show up in my TH-cam feed!! **It’s like winning a lottery for crafters/artisans!! Ultimately with the desire to pick the simplest pattern for a beginner - you have inspired me to make a blanket for each of my young grandkids!! Thank you for creating your channel with such beautiful crocheted blankets - and most of all - for being a kind & brave young woman by taking on the challenges of being on TH-cam!! Thankyou so so so much for your beautiful comment - it’s made me cry happy tears ❤️ I’m so happy you’re excited about my content, I just love sharing it with like minded people. Your grandchildren are very lucky and I’m sure each blanket will be like a cuddle from their grandma. I’d recommend a giant granny square blanket as it’s beginner friendly and I have tutorials for it on my channel. Thankyou again for taking the time to leave this comment ❤️
Do you have instructions or tutorial on how you joined the corner of the chunky starburst blanket. I love the whole blanket and intrigued by the corner join. Love your videos.
I explain the yarn in the video as well as in the description. Most of the blankets are acrylic, one is a merino/acrylic/cashmere blend and one is 100% merino.
Muy lindas tus colchas , lindo trabajo, y mucho talento. Gracias por compartir tus videos. Trataré de hacer algo de crochet. Dios te bendiga, desde USA 🇺🇸
Hey!, Just found your channel and LOVE the blankets! I need a tutorial on the Honeysweet Hexagons - It was definitely my favourite one! Well done! Subscribed for more now :)
I've been taking some heavy inspiration from your granny sampler blanket to make my own! On your ravelry page, you linked the Blue Jeanne pattern twice and there's one I can't find - the pink square next to the mint Victorian Lattice square. It's a flower and then 4 leaves made out of what looks like some front post stitches. Do you happen to remember the name for this square? I love your work so much! I appreciate any help you can give me. I can't wait for the scalloped edging tutorial. It's gorgeous.
I don’t remember the name but I do remember I just used the flower from a pattern and then I made up the leaves. I’ll go through my ravelry favourites and see if I can find it
❤ Very lovely all of them! I'm just doing a multicolor one and enjoy so much to do crochet! I think U R a nice Lady and I follow U from Lima Perú, S.A.
All your blankets are very pretty. I love the colors and the patterns. I have a question please... how can I find out if a yarn is enough when the rows get bigger in the one piece granny square blanket to crochet all around ? I would like to use up some scraps. Is there a way I could find out ? Like 4times the row for example ? How much is needed for a row ? Thank you very much in advance. Heidi from Germany 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I find the best way is to weigh it. So you could weigh your blanket, do a round and then weigh again and work out the difference. I am almost finished a scrappy giant granny and I weighed all my scraps and then started with the smaller scraps at the centre and getting bigger and bigger as it gets bigger. I also just added in new yarn in the middle of rounds and I think it looks great. I’m almost done so will be posting that once it’s finished.
Oh , SOPHIE'S UNIVERSE is my dream, it' s just like a wonderful paint ❤❤❤❤ but all Your creations are so perfect , with perfect colur and technic👌👏👏👏👏😘
I love all your blankets and your color choices. I have made three Sophies Universes and three Mandala Madness. I enjoy making them out of cotton DK, it really gives you good stitch definition. I made a couple out of Scheepjes but now I use Paintbox cotton dk which is a reasonable price and comes in a lot of colors. I like to not plan out my colors before I start and just choose them for each part as I go along. My friend made a Sophie out of all cream colored yarn and it was gorgeous.
I’m currently making a granny square blanket traditional using black for the borders I remember one like this that my great grandma made however unfortunately don’t know what happened to it nevertheless I’m creating one just like hers it’ll still be wonderful because of the memories associated with it ❤️
These are so beautiful!! Been wanting to do blanket for a while. Does anyone know what kind of yarn is better for blankets? Most of the yarns in my local markets are either milk cotton or acrylic. I wonder, do a specific type of blanket need a very specific yarn as well? This is actually what made me hesitant to do blanket. I'm afraid the yarn would have either make or destroy my final product
If you want to make a summer throw that won’t be very warm then cotton is the way to go. If you want a warm and snuggly blanket then acrylic or wool. If you’re going to be washing a lot or gifting then go for acrylic as it’s easy to care for. Hope this helps!
wow you so talented. I've made some baby blankets for charity .I made in 1 pattern throughout the blankets. I really like your ideas.lots of love from South Africa.
What is the best yarn to use so that blankets don’t pill? Especially not pure wools because of allergies. I’ve crocheted one afghan and have had many given to me over the years. But they always look like heck after a few months of use.
I find my stylecraft special DK blankets don't pill but they definitely end up worn after several washes. Cotton is your best bet for no pilling but its not a particularly warm fibre unfortunately.
I didn't keep track unfortunately and I no longer have the blanket to weigh it. I can't remember buying extra yarn so I have a feeling it was one ball of each but I can't be 100% sure. Did you manage to find my list of colours?
Hi, I’ve just come across your video. I love all your blankets they are beautiful. If I had to choose it would be the sample squares. I love it. I’ve just started croqueting and so far have made 2 blankets. I really love it. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Have a blessed Christmas 🎅
I am passionate about handmade items. There is an incredible amount of beauty and peace that flows through s l o w l y made art. Handmade blankets are the ultimate labour of L❤VE. Thanks for sharing your journey and tutorials. It’s inspiring to see how you have grown artistically 🥰 I have been going to a reuse centre and thrift shops collecting pre-made granny squares supplied by people who have moved into aged care and have had to clean out items they no longer need or use. There is so much beauty and skill in those squares that I feel like I have to honour their work by piecing them together. They aren’t “beautiful” in the traditional sense but pieced together they still tell a story. Hand made Blankets are a great way to wrap yourself in love 😍
Ve our gold sweater…do you have a pattern for it? If it’s someone else’s pattern, please point in that direction. I’m so impressed in all your blankets.
New sub to your channel and all your projects are gorgeous ❤🎉 but I have to say that sweater looks lovely 🌹 and I love the color ❤ thank you for sharing ✨
Do you start many blankets at once or til you finish a blanket you work on the next? They are all amazing I don’t think I could wait so long finish one although I would like to make a bed size blanket 😅
Depends. Previously I start crocheting a blanket and keep going until I get reallyyyyy bored, then I put it into “hibernation”, this can sometimes be months or years. Then when I fancy working on it I get it out and focus on finishing it. Now this is becoming my job (designing/TH-cam) I try to push through the boredom as best as I can and if I really can’t continue I only take a short break (couple of weeks) before continuing. I will admit I have probably started and then given up on more blankets than I’ve finished!!! I’ve even got a blanket under my bed that’s pushing 9 or 10 years unfinished that I will get to eventually 🤣🤣🤣
I watched this video at least three time to try to figure out which blanket was my favorite. I have it narrowed down to the Hexagon daisy and the Honeysweet hexagon. I loved the borders on all of them. Can’t wait to see the tutorial on the Honey Sweet blanket. Awesome video. Subscribed!

I have a hexagon blanket that my grandmother crocheted for me in wool 💖 my grandmother died 60 years ago, I treasure it
That sounds like a wonderful treasured heirloom. I hope one day my family will treasure mine too ❤️
How special x
I was doing a big declutter finally decided to donate two crochet blankets I made in the seventies as the colours were so dated. Months later I found them behind the seat of the truck. You just don’t know which handmade items are going to become sentimental favourites.

Hey!, Just found your channel and LOVE the blankets! I need a tutorial on the Honeysweet Hexagons - It was definitely my favourite one! Well done! Subscribed for more now :)
Thankyou for the sun and so happpy you liked my blanket
OK I subscribed. We will see what happens.
These are so beautiful! You are very talented! I hope that you will continue to offer more patterns in the future.
Thankyou so much! And I definitely will be, got a few in the works 😊
So glad you liked them! Hi from England to Peru 👋
All of these blankets are really really beautiful 😍. Thank you for sharing ❤
Glad you like them!
Beautiful work very talented. Thank you for sharing your videos, God bless you and good luck .From USA 😊
Oh wow, a one colour Sophie. I bet that really highlighted the gorgeous texture! Maybe I should have done that 🤔
I’m currently making a granny square blanket traditional using black for the borders I remember one like this that my great grandma made however unfortunately don’t know what happened to it nevertheless I’m creating one just like hers it’ll still be wonderful because of the memories associated with it ❤️
I love these sorts of granny blankets. The black makes the squares just pop. I’m sure yours will be beautiful ❤️
Love the hexagon blanket! How many skeins total were used? Trying to gauge how much I will spend on the yarn before I start it :)
I used 24 x 50g/125m balls of sport weight yarn plus extra for the border. If you’re using DK yarn instead ~3500m will make a lap sized throw
De verdad q bonitas mantas!!!😊😊😊
Juste MAGNIFIQUE ❤❤❤❤, bravo, surtout MERCI pour les tutos !!!
Boa tarde amiga
Amo ver seus trabalhos
Um mais lindo do que outro
Todos lindos ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thankyou ❤️
wow you so talented.
Hi, my daughter and I absolutely ❤love your videos.
You are an amazing and inspiring artist!
We are in California. 😃
Sampler and Sophie's Universe ❤❤❤ omg 😲 new sub 😂❤
Thankyou for the sub ❤️
Hi, I love your colours for the Sophie's universe. Do you have a list of how many balls of yarn you used for each colour please? Thank you
I didn't keep track unfortunately and I no longer have the blanket to weigh it.
So love your blankets. Very beautiful!
Thankyou 🥰
I am passionate about handmade items. There is an incredible amount of beauty and peace that flows through s l o w l y made art. Handmade blankets are the ultimate labour of L❤VE. Thanks for sharing your journey and tutorials. It’s inspiring to see how you have grown artistically 🥰
I have been going to a reuse centre and thrift shops collecting pre-made granny squares supplied by people who have moved into aged care and have had to clean out items they no longer need or use.
It’s from a tutorial I made on tiktok, I uploaded a compilation here: th-cam.com/video/Ao0Hl7PcGEg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QsUuJDNxwtrHt4vM
Lovely! Beautiful edges! Thank you for sharing!💐
What a great roundup!. I also have cupboards full of stylecraft in a million colours. I think the hexi daisy is my favourite but it’s a hard choice!
New sub to your channel and all your projects are gorgeous ❤🎉 but I have to say that sweater looks lovely 🌹 and I love the color ❤ thank you for sharing ✨
Thanks so much! 😊 I have a tutorial for it and I love this colour too! It’s called antique gold in James Brett chunky with merino
I've never seen such a beautiful mandala-blanket
She is such a talented designer for sure!
I like your crohcheted sweater
Too much beautiful. 😊
PLEASE do a tutorial for your hexagon blanket!
It’s coming, don’t worry! Potentially going to be a CAL as well
I watched this video at least three time to try to figure out which blanket was my favorite. I have it narrowed down to the Hexagon daisy and the Honeysweet hexagon. I loved the borders on all of them. Can’t wait to see the tutorial on the Honey Sweet blanket. Awesome video. Subscribed!
Your work is beautiful. I'm making my first blanket. 😊
Oooo how exciting. What sort of blanket are you making?
Which type of yarn you used for making blanket?
Which one? Most are acrylic DK but I’ve also made using merino 4ply and cashmere/merino sport.

How can I help?
