i dont get why people are judging Laura on how much SALT she put in her food?!? REALLY PEOPLE!?! Its her recipe and she can do whatever she wants. If you don't like it, then change it, but don't comment on here talking hate about Laura because of the SALT.

Check the ingredients on the puff pastry. Make sure there's no lard.

It's plain and simple if you don't like the salt use then obviously cut back. She's not your doctor. She's showing you a recipe. How you interpret that is up to the person cooking.
The first pie I ever made, and it turned out beyond amazing! I added some cauliflower and french beans as well, was just perfect!

I'm a new subbie. I watched this today, bought the ingredients and made it today. It is DELICIOUS. I'm a vegetarian who has missed pot pie so much for the last 11 years. This is spot on. I could not stop licking the spoon as I was making the stew. I can't wait to try making one of your desserts.

I made this today with short crust pastry at the bottom and it was amazing! I also used chicken stock cubes that were vegetarian friendly instead of vegetable stock and it worked perfectly well. Thanks for the recipe Laura!

This recipe is absolutely delicious! I made it with Marie Callender pie crust instead of puff pastry. This dish would be a great add to any holiday table. I will try some more of her recipes... this lady can cook! The only problem is you will want to eat the whole dish but don't, share because it's wonderful.

I LOVE your pot pie recipes. They're soooo good. Lately, I've switched from using the puffy pastry/pie crusts to simply topping the filling with buttermilk biscuits. It is delicious. If you haven't ever tried it, do it! Best comfort food ever.

this is perfect to go along with holiday meals. why do you need more meat on top of the turkey, ham, etc that you're already going to have! i love making veg/vegan dishes for my fan in the holiday season and a pot pie is my go to!!

The spices you used were excellent. I liked the way that even though it was vegetables only, you created that savoury meat flavour profile. I went to the kitchen and did the same. I'm pleased with the results. Thanks
Thanks Laura you are the best . I tried the vegatable lasagna, whole wheat bread , cinnamon bread and even the pumpkin cake roll. They all tasted wonderful. Now I want to try the vegetable pot pie.
AMAZING!! Im vegan so for the egg wash I used vegan butter and olivd oil, and skipled the cream and use soy milk. I forgot the gold Potatoe and used broth with no base but still turned out as the best pot pie I've ever had. THANK YOUUUUU!

It may look like a lot of salt but this is a pretty big dish that could feed multiple people so shes putting in so much so the flavor goes around. If it were a meal for 1-2 that would be an insane amount but since it is a family style dish there needs to be a lot of every ingredient even the salt :)

everytime theres a laura vitale commercial i never skipt
@ Candace Y - If I know I'm going to be baking a pie or casserole I will start the day with a 2 or 3 egg omlette and I just omit one of the yolks and whip that with a little water or milk. This way I don't waste anything and if I have any left over it's usually just a tablespoon or less which I can wash down the drain when I wash the bowl.

Hi Laura..Tried this recipe but couldn't find Yams (in Malta Europe), so I put chopped pumpkin. I also put puff pastry on the sides and bottom of the pan as I prefer it that way. Mmmm. Everyone enjoyed it. Tried to upload pic ..will try again..:) Marika

I seriously had no idea rosemary went that well with poultry until one morning I was making fried chicken and was like hell with it last piece and put rosemary on it and damn near died at how good it tasted

im not a vegetarian, but my daughter is, and she used that same vegetable boullion that u r using in this recipe and there isn't much of a difference in the flavor of this boullion to chicken boullion. im so so surprised. so I know this pot pie u made was extra delicious. liked this video.

I have a question. I don't eat mushrooms, and I don't care much for squash. What can you recommend I do without those ingredients?
This recipe sounds yum. I live in Mississippi and I swear the most basic of ingredients do not exist so not sure we have puff pastry but I've really never looked. I'm also not very good at making stuff like that. I was wondering if you think if I bought croissants dough, i.e. Pillsbury and laid that out flat over the mixture whether that would work. Also, what if you added something like lentils or red beans, some kind of legume for added protein. Do you think that would work?
