They’d really good for people with ADHD or people who just struggle to concentrate and sit still but before they became super popular it wasn’t easy to find them. I never saw them in any stores or ever heard anyone mention fidget toys. But then when the general public started using them, they became super easy to find. And it also made it seem less weird if you used one because everyone was using one, it was cool to use one. I only heard about fidget spinners because they became super popular and I bought one and I really liked it and it helped me concentrate. I will say though that after the trend died out I stopped using it in public because I didn’t want to be seen as weird for still using one when it was seen as an old trend. But at least I know they exist now I can use it at home. There’s also weighted blankets, a few years ago I had only rarely heard of them and they were hard to buy and very expensive. But nowadays everyone wants one and you can find them for pretty cheap at just your local store. My mum bought one a couple years ago and I think she had to buy it online from another country and it was expensive but now you can easily find them here. The easiest way to build abs is to get an ab wheel (or some flat piece of plastic you can slide on for carpet) and just do a few ab rollouts with proper form every day, gradually pushing your hands out more each time as you get stronger.
Pretty early on I called it's use being for disability and they were just selling it to a "normie" audience. I would love a whole episode about items actually used for disabled folks whose ADs are targeted to the abled. You could even get some Disabled youtubers to guest and give their opinion.
The whole video all I could think about was how I wanted to see someone use this and give an honest review. Scotty boy, I knew you’d never let us down 🙌🏻
I remember years ago when there was still “the TV guide channel” and their was an infomercial for “the magic bullet” and I used to love it for some strange reason lol
Another sneaky thing that I heard that people do for infomercials is have people take the after photo before where they dehydrate themselves to increase muscle definition and then the before photo after a big meal of bloating food like soda and chips or something like that. I think they might have done it here because you can still see abs in his before picture which is quite impressive.
If each muscle contraction with this was equivalent to the contraction you get with a crunch, it would be so uncomfortable or painful. Imagine your muscles contracting as if they are picking up half your weight in a sit up but you’re unwillingly contracting muscles in a position where you just end up fighting the pull of the muscles. Edit: okay, actually it doesn’t seem as far off as I was thinking with that demo at the end xD
It's just a TENS machine. They're great machines, but they're not meant for building muscle, or losing weight. Mostly pain management. I've used a product exactly like this called the Revitive on my legs for years. It's for circulation for diabetics, senior citizens, etc. I've spent years putting my calf muscles through major contractions, and there has been zero visual difference made. My circulation did improve, muscle cramps stopped, and restless leg stopped, but there was zero change in the appearance of my calves, and if I stop using the machine for a couple of days, the symptoms of restless leg come back.
That sponsor is such a great contrast to the video topic its literally comedy. For me its the fact that people don't actually care about the pain that working out causes, its the dedication and the time to see results.
The before and afters in the beginning are from a (probably 20 weeks) contest prep. Prep is incredibly hard on the body(high activity levels, low calories) and IS NOT SUSTAINABLE. Women have to go on hormones and lose their periods during/after a contest prep. I’m a pt, a dietician to be, and a body builder. this shit triggers me.
While I do have one of these get abs without trying maschines, I have to say that really helps with back pain when you're on your period. Sometimes I my stomach area is sore because I use it a bit too much. And before someone says it: Yes I know I won't get me abs of steel from it but it does help to tone your midsection.

Then in the after shot, the actors were squealing "Oh my gosh, my pants ARE looser, I can barely keep them up." And of course, the After shot everyone's pants were, unbuckled, unbuttoned, zippers halfway down. I'm sure some sucker bought their claim.
I feel like it would be potentially helpful for someone with mobility issues like myself so your muscles don’t atrophy. My physical therapist uses electrodes to relax painful knots in my back. So there is a grain of truth to this but their claims are ridiculous and irresponsible.
Yeah I've heard about it for muscle relaxation never heard of it to build muscle though
it's the classic infomercial thing where something is great for disabilities but they decide they need to market it to lazy people instead to make more money
Yeah there was a similar product to this a while ago and I think they *did* actually briefly mention that it's helpful for people who need physical therapy in the infomercial for that one.
@@barrothontherocks3325 i think it's less that they "decide" and more like....they wont sell enough if they Just market to people with disabilities, and it gets better visibility if marketed to people without disabilities. take, for example, the snuggie blanket thing, or the eight million kitchen gadgets that are designed for people who struggle to hold knives/crack eggs/whisk stuff.
@@SkiddlyBink I remember when fidget spinners and other fidget toys exploded in popularity.
So they’re a lot easier to buy now which is good for the people who really benefit from having one.
When you pointed out how you hate when people combine experience time, I literally shouted "THANK YOU!" because I too, hate that and think it makes zero sense.
Omg this popped onto my recommended while I’m using my Total Abs(tm) belt!! Haha can’t wait to hear your thoughts on my favorite product!
Edit: I can’t believe this. my dreams have been crushed and God is dead.
But how hard are your sick rat abs? Rats are all nips you probably have a 30 rack lol
How much were you paid to says that?
Im sorry, Tiny Rat.
😂😂😂
Do you actually own one?
I'm sick in bed with a cough right now and my body is shaking with the effort of holding back my laughter I think my lungs are going to explode, thank you for this gem of a video Scott
Edit: Absolutely lost it at the picture switcheroo stuff at 15:00 how is your humour always so on point
Editx2: The offer to Martin to confess on your channel made me reach for my inhaler 😭
hope you feel better soon!! 💖 love the icon btw, one of my fave Pokémon!

the ab belt reveal was one of the greatest twists in youtube history
I love when they say it’s been “proven” nothing in science/psychology is ever proven in a real study
I HAVE SEEN THIS GUY BEFORE. He was on an episode of that fit to fat to fit show! I wish you would do a video about that show- it's entirely deranged. (great vid, Scott!)
Maybe you can make a game show where the belt will be included. Like answering questions or doing basics tasks with it at full blast
Your in great shape Scott but you've got some work to do so DONT GIVE UP.
THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN
@@ScottCramer I'm feeling so many feelings in my ab area you replied to me out of all the people out there you chose me.
You’re* 💪🏻

Been a fan for a long time. This feels like a top 5 video of yours. The belt reveal made me HA out loud.
I always love your swivel transitions, I don’t know why but they always make me smile
Same!! Even more so when he starts a sentence during the ad roll and finishes it in the regular video (or vice versa).
People don't realize that "up to 4 inches" is the same as "up to 100 inches." It means anything between near ZERO to that number. Thats why stores get away with saying "up to 70% off!" and then you walk in and everything is only 10% off. Well, 10% is in the range "up to" 70%.
Yess! Dude I miss these infomercials, was a guilty pleasure to stay up at like 2am and watch them as a kid! Might I suggest the vacuum or nutribullet ones? Classics, ya know. Keep up the great work!
I used to love vacuum infomercials. I also watched way too many cooking ones with that old redhead lady.
Same! I miss watching the vacuum ones at 3 am!
Or perhaps a new Sham-WOW!? 🤣💐
I thought I was alone in this!! I would watch *hoursss* of infomercials when I was little
What about the Air-fryer infomercials? I've seen a lot of those.
OMG. That ab belt reveal really got me, the music cue really makes it. 10/10
Y’know I have a sneaking suspicion that Scott has a degree in advertising but I don’t know why
iirc he does
You should honestly have way more subscribers! You put soo much effort into your videos and it makes my day when I watch them, good job! Keep it up! 🙏🏽😍
I got an electrotherapy machine from Walgreens for, like, 25 bucks. If you really want to electrocute your stomach, go wild for way cheaper, I guess? (for real, that machine super helps with PT and muscle pain, but a stomach is not somewhere you would want to apply it???) Great vid!
I could watch you talk about literally anything with your voice, expressions, your humor and introspections…. but most importantly your mid section.
Just found ur channel and have been binge watching all week. The fact that I made it to a new video within 22 min of the upload time makes me feel better about my day for some reason lol
really enjoying these videos focusing on ads. and definitely not because you have a degree that allows you to give unique insight in this field.
I just started following you not too long ago and you’ve become one of my favorite TH-camrs. I love your videos, the way you edit, your humor, and the topics you choose to talk about. 😎
6:50 I love the way Scott said it poor Scott
At 8:30 I heard the line "and now" before it cut to a TH-cam ad of a guy hucking a snowball at a solar panel and it really threw me off because it seemed like part of the infomercial
I always love the bits on this channel. Scott puts the most into his videos, and I love it!
Scott pulled off the plot twist of the century
8:08 Shadows are completely different. Before and after could have been taken minutes apart, but in the "after" photo they emphasized the muscles with clever lighting and possibly makeup.
6:40 LMAO!! My brother got hussled buying one these back in the day ...I put it on and that was my reaction as well...it was ridiculous
14:53 "Well, what if I told you I lied again?!"
Top 10 greatest anime betrayals
Thanks Scott, definitely needed a silly goofy video to take my mind off things rn /gen
Scott you have no idea how much I agree with your stance on "combined years of experience"
when the world needed him most... he returned
nobody cares
"We've been fitness competitors for over 20 years" I thought they meant with each other, like Mr and Mrs Smith vibes, and I loved that for them
It’s so funny how a 19 minute video can make my day
I look forward to your videos so much!! you're one of the few youtubers that still manage to make me laugh out loud. thank u scott !! :D
i also didnt skip any ads so i hope u make up for that belt soon!!
13:30 this is an M-Night Shyamalan level plot twist
Like really though 🤣
I was way too invested xD
youre one fo the few youtubers who still gets me to audibly laugh and gasp thanks for all the content scott
The sheer amount of plot twists in this video is overwhelming
dude... that reveal was EPIC!!!!!!
Can’t wait for Martin to collab with Scott and spit some straight facts about how to be a Walmart floaty pool dad 😤🔥
_I’m ready_
5:47 i feel like that was him just feeling like he needed to play along and pretend he wasn't in excruciating pain the whole time rather than faking anything
Idk how you did it, but it most definitely seems like you’ve generated a good amount of engagement in the comments
I was not expecting the HuHot grill joke😂 I love that place 😂
planet fitness and billy mays, a truly legendary video combination
Omg thank you so much for actually wearing the belt - best surprise ever. And your photo mind f* afterwards was freakin hilarious.
The easiest way to build abs is to get an ab wheel (or some flat piece of plastic you can slide on for carpet) and just do a few ab rollouts with proper form every day, gradually pushing your hands out more each time as you get stronger.
Yeah, ab wheels work pretty well. I've started up doing planks again as well.
i actually first got introduced to ab wheels via informercials 😂
scott's energy this video is just impeccable i am living for his advertising expertise
Scott Cramer video starts: “I’m hooked.”
The ab machine bit was absolutely hilarious 😂10,000 crunches and I’m over here eating cookies on break at work
When the world needed him most, HE RETURNED
I love how all the "progress" pics just have them pushing out their gut in the before and flexing in the after.
6:15 had me laughing out loud…bravo sir! You’re the best infomercial actor by far #hireScottinfomercials
0:48 puts a smile on my face knowing that they found each other.
Pretty early on I called it's use being for disability and they were just selling it to a "normie" audience. I would love a whole episode about items actually used for disabled folks whose ADs are targeted to the abled. You could even get some Disabled youtubers to guest and give their opinion.
I love this vid concept
The whole video all I could think about was how I wanted to see someone use this and give an honest review. Scotty boy, I knew you’d never let us down 🙌🏻
Start to finish, this video was fire. You had me laughing out loud. 😂
I remember years ago when there was still “the TV guide channel” and their was an infomercial for “the magic bullet” and I used to love it for some strange reason lol
Crazy how the freckles on the woman's shoulder at 10:20 just disappear and move around like that.
I find it funny that they said they had over 20 years of fitness experience, so they know the “challenge” of getting in shape
11:52 "while I'm going flabby to fabulous.." 😂😂😂
Not the random German in the infomercial just chilling like it’s supposed to be there
CLEANEST ad transition of all time...
at 16:11 i felt like i was at the dentist. great video dr. scott.
Here's scientific proof that Scott is the best online personality....
Doctor: His name is definitely Scott.
Us: proof.
Absolutely flabulous.
Loving your videos scott , keep them coming. ☺️
9:55 HAAAAIIIIIIRRRR. Why was that the first thing I saw after looking at the video after listening for a bit
scott is the kind of person to have an advertising degree
While I do have one of these get abs without trying maschines, I have to say that really helps with back pain when you're on your period. Sometimes I my stomach area is sore because I use it a bit too much.
And before someone says it: Yes I know I won't get me abs of steel from it but it does help to tone your midsection.
13:22 lol, never change!
