This NEW WPL was not announced, it comes in white only, and is a very good RTR Cheap Trail truck. WPL continue to up their game and improve each new release. The only disappointment was that it didn't come with soft tyres.

The wpl b36 that's a good one it's my first 6x6 and had metal gears in the axles in the ready to tun kit
I have a little theory about why WPL held off on giving us soft tyres on this model. They´ve already given us a bigger motor, a decently low final drive ratio, tougher driveshafts and proportional electronics, so my theory is that they reckon that if they were to equip the RTR with soft tyres, we´d actually have no reason to buy the kit!
I mentioned that to someone earlier.... they can't make it too good lol
I just bought 2 of these the other day, one for my son which is almost 3 and one for myself. He is doing really well with one of those coke can cars so hopefully he will do even better with this one. Thanks for the review I think you might be the first person to review this new model, that I have found.

That looks a lot better Phil and considering the terrain that your driving it over,very capable too.. I noticed that this one has 'shocks',as opposed to leaf springs,make them easier to tune too.
yup, C-framed isn't straight rail B-framed with leaf springs.

$40 into it including the cost of the truck. For the $, you can’t get mor scale than this. I’d also like to add that they hold up incredibly and if you need spare parts or want to upgrade, the support is fabulous! Great vid!

I just bought one for my 10yo nephew and he loves it. It's a good entry level RC. Slow and it doesn't break easily.

I just ordered this thing. First rc vehicle since I was a kid. I don’t know why I put it off for so long. Those were some of my fondest memories and are directly responsible for my infatuation with anything with a motor.
i already had the previous version as a kit and as an rtr these were of poor quality.
But they have revised this model well and the quality is now appropriate for the price, it doesn't fall apart after 5 minutes of driving like the previous models.
I can really recommend this white C24-1, it's great👍👍
That's fantastic for the price I'm currently looking for parts to upgrade my c14 (going to use your banggood link for the esc) but this thing is pretty capable out of the box I'd definitely buy one of these
Nice Unboxing, well detailed and all points of intrest covered. Mine is unterway hopefully end of next week it will arive looks promising. i always laughing when i read posts like that i put exactl 25 bucks in my first WPL C-14 kit and it has down almost 100miles (160km) without any significant error or damage. i will also get myself a Kit too. Keep it up.

Super impressed, I had mine for 3 weeks now but the driveshafts are yet to break on me, even changed the gearing to make it faster, it still runs epic! Though the only problem I had is one of the front wheels sometimes doesn't turn like the others when I turn and the wheel run off the fender :/
I've had it in the past where the plastic hub slips on the metal axle. Remove the axle, keep the wheels on and you should be able to pull the plastic hub off. Then put a drop of super glue on it and re fit
this is a really good truck for anyone who is interested in small scale rc trucks i got one a couple weeks ago and i already took mine apart because i have some metal parts coming

These things are great. I managed to get a kit for £27. I needed my own esc, battery and receiver but managed to get standard stuff to fit. I drilled holes in the wheels to sort the tyres. (battery was from a different bangood special) seriously, £27, I've spent more on a servo. (servo and motor included in kit BTW)
I have a MN c-45 and I grabbed wpl upgrades with a couple MN upgrades. I'll tell you this it is a beast and it keeps up with my friends gen 7 Redcat, The Barrage Horizon Hobby and extreme Red Cat danchee. The whole build was under $100, to be exact $97.48. That's including the car for $38 you can't beat that. But I'm really excited and cannot wait to get one of these trucks. If it wasn't for MN and wpl I wouldn't be able to afford a rock climber so I'm happy. But anyways I am trying to make my own parts with resin. I think I can make some pretty cool looking stuff hood scoops that actually work with a fan sucking in air. So it's hood scoop 28000 RPM fan a hole in the hood then a little bit of ductwork to direct air where I need it. Okay bud you have a great day

@@TomleyRC yeah if it wasn't for you I wouldn't even know about these MN and wpl models. Once I watch your videos on them I seen the potential right away. But just got my transmission with reduction and 370 motor for $10.59 LOL. Yeah they messed up after my order they upped it to $30 LOL. I'm changing the 370 motor and it will be a 280 brushless Dynamite 2 in 1 ESC like 20 amps Max output 160 amp should do nicely. Oh yeah 6000kv that's the one I was telling you about. Okay man can't wait till next video you got some really great RC's. Have a great day

Thyc is a friend of mine on a couple of the wpl crawler groups and scale model groups I've got pics and videos of my team associated cr12 with his sticker on my roof....and I would like to have a D12 so I can see if I can put the c44 bed on the cab....love the honest reviews on so many wpl rcs keep it up 👍
stock rims (the older ones) there's just enough room to wrap 2 mm solder 3 rows wide between the tire beads, and 3 layers thick for 9 wraps total. slit electric tape slightly wider then two wraps stretched tight ending with a smear of CA. do that to the front pair, and just 3 turns to the rear rims gives a LOT more ability and stability. know this video is just "as gotten" test running it, and it needs a set of the softer kit tires for 5-6 bucks... for the price its good.
now you can have a red white and blue fleet? don't tell the CCP!
Yes...some cheap and easy mods there. Which are always the best ones... the free ones ;)

I don't know if you've heard about furiTec. They have these really cool upgrades. For example they have an Array of esc mods that will quiet down all or most of the noise coming from the motors. Very interesting indeed. I like WPL very much as they offer great platforms for upgrades.

Just ordered one after only a day of use the transfer case axel gear keeps spinning when going over obstacles I super glued the gear back and it worked for a day😂 imma upgrade to a new metal gear box
Why have I only just heard about your fb group will definitely be checking that out and the other TH-cam channel I got the wpl c24 kit I love mine I used the esc and servo out of my wltoys 124019 from when I converted it to brushless, the esc is a bit big for it but its wedged in-between the bed and the back of the cab and I usually use the 2s pack that came with the wltoys and strap it to the pick up bed not ideal but it works well 👍

I got myself a wpl c24 some time back.. got all the upgrades and spend about +/- 125 euro in total..
I was very surprised to do so much work to make it all fit, and the result is, it looks like i did this for the first time(as it was the first time)
No regrets but i think its good to know befor someone wants to buy it..
Then i got a 6x6 version without body, some engines and other parts and another c24.. and there are some more parts i want to order.. You see where im going haha
Once you get one...you just can't stop lol
I bought the kit version and let me say I'm not disappointed. I got the 2 speed transmission and a roof rack just for shots and giggles and I didn't even spend $100. I might get the RTR version for my 2 year old.

Yes, improving every time
While I did not like the hgp 407 I had i got my first rtr b16 the other day. With a few cheap mods I'll be more than content with it. My son wants a b14 and both my daughters want a c24. Great starter rcs for very little money and with a little work they get way better. Biggest thing is you can get replacement parts. Can't do that with box store rcs.

hello Tomley RC ! first off I have to say I am really happy to stumble upon your channel here on the tube. You make some good informative and entertaining videos. I did order a wpl c24-1 rtr after seeing this video, and some fancy shocks in metal but they didn't come with the ball joints and screws. neither did i get the brackets. I ordered too quick in my excitement. so to my question. do you know where you can get a good set of ball joints to mount my shocks? also looking for the soft tires. as I understood it the kit tires are softer than rtr. I am looking at the tires called b1 atm.

I'm more of a basher, but i got one of these on your recommendation and it's fantastic for the money. All I've done to mine is add a bit of weight to the wheels, to lower the CG and shims on the links and some foam to the battery tray to reduce rattle.

@Johnny Moto compared to? If you compare it to a mn86, yes it's not good. If you compare to most of the wpl trucks it's much better.

I am looking at getting this little guy. I do like to build this stuff and thinking of going for the kit version, which the ESC is not included. Is the ESC and receiver on all the same board? You do say its fully proportional so I am guessing it is.
I see there is a couple of different gear box upgrades that come with a 370 motor, is there a brushless upgrade option?

So I know the video is 2 years old but I’m planning on buying two of these but was wondering if it’s possible to upgrade to a different motor ? Or are these designed in such a way that they only fit these motors? And I was wondering the same about the esc can that be upgraded aswell? I like the wpl c24-1 it looks like it runs pretty good out of the box but was just mainly curious if I can make some upgrades to it
I like that tyre / wheel combo. Will do that to my C24 which currently wears MN99 tyres/wheels. I actually like the harder tyres. What glue do you advise using with the softer tyres on hubs though?
I just use a normal super glue

The one I ordered a while ago just showed up so I unboxed it, put the accessories and stickers on, charged it up and then was going to take it out for a spin, but it won’t move forward or backwards but it turns fine, the driveshaft seems fine too, so what do you think😭

This WPL C-24 is cool but you have to change it completely if you want to use it outdoors and cross with it. I bought a blue one for my son and that’s what I did. Cool the video 👍👍👍👍👍
You used to have to change a lot... but as this videos shows, they are much better now ;)

Just ordered one for my boy. Some upgrade questions pls:
1. 2-speed 370 or single speed 370?
2. Can the stock esc handle the 370 motor?
3. Can you run the 2-speed without new radio/receiver? I.e. manual shifting by hand? (temporary)
2 speed is the best option for crawling and trailing. Stock ESC will run a 370 yes. Manual shifting not an option

The wpl Crawlers I will say they're not very good when they're stock but if you put some metal drive shafts and tires and like a 370 motor in it then they're actually fairly capable

are the WPL V2 electronics esc/receiver/transmitter reliable in your experience ? any failures on your end ?
V3 is the better one. V2 has a few signal issues

I ordered a set of softer, smaller tires for mine already. The tires came in before the truck did :-/
What tyres did you order?
@@deanseedle2215 a set of RC4WD 1.0 scrambles that I stretched over the stock C24-1 rims. They were great! Really helped the overall performance of the truck.
That C24-1 performs so much better than the old C24 RTR. I know since it was my first ever WPL and it kept popping off driveshafts even with the wimpy little 130 motor.... I´ll tell you what else you can spend your 30$ on mate: A WPL D12! :D

No, you'll need a 2 speed gearbox or single speed 370

In the previous version I had, the drivetrain was destroyed after driving for 5 minutes with rtr and kit version. this dont happend with that white one.

Yes, WPL parts can be taken apart to service, and plenty of upgrades
