No.
@@dazofthemoo1531 okay.
Yes, and maybe a Tonka Jeep conversion! Love the leaf springs.
Straight out of some african army or some meddle east terrorist group 😂😂
sucks that when these videos go up they crank up the price, its over 60 dollars now.
Considering the cost of some replacement bodies are up around $50 to get a nice looking hard body AND a whole rig underneath, you can't rage on the price at all.
Yeah, I mean.. it’s no crazy performer, but at the price, not much else to chose from
@@TomleyRC Unfortunately it's $83+ cdn which kind of spoils the deal. Our crappy gov't devaluing our dollar really hurts.
@@muskokamike127yeah I’m so angry with bs economy every time I watch some video of somebody and then I want buy something he showcased it’s always an insane price
@@muskokamike127 I bought 2 from AliE, shipped to Canada for $42usd each, so under 60 canadian pesos, took one week to arrived also, if you wanna get it hurry up before the CNY holiday!
Used to think the same of the WLP trucks but as noted above, our Canadian funny money isn’t worth a lot anymore. Won’t get into why cause I think we can all figure it out. 😂
For $50 it’s got nice detail. It drives it steers. I really can’t see how you could go wrong. Thanks as always.
Love how all these officially licensed products never have trademark or registration marks next to the brand logos.
I have bought this MN82. I was amazed by the quality of the plastic and the fine and amazing details. And their quality control is very good...
It's nice to see a positive review of something so cheap, too many people would have criticized it for not having all the bells and whistles completely forgetting the facr it's bargain basement and a great place to start in the hobby if you haven't a lot of spare cash or your unsure whether it's for you or not. I got two cheapies before the big spend (for me), have painted the first two and now making an aluminium custom body for the other one. Not sure about the black but understand it's a test for your later build, and it's only paint, plenty more colours out there, important thing is to enjoy what you do and have fun doing it, Greetings from sunny Scotland 😊.
The edit you did wit the radiochatter etc was great, car looks great too so the weathering worked out well.. But love the thematic part of the video for sure, keep the great job up mate!
Love these mini project videos, nice job Tom!
Lots of trucks including my full-size rock crawler ranger have leafs and adjustable coilovers or air shocks.
I run a 63” Chevy leaf spring with my aFe 18” nitrogen air shocks(which are also springs) to compensate for trail gear, cooler etc. lots of people do this. 4Runners will squeeze coils between the leaf and Frame using the bump stop to center it. It happens a lot in performance vehicles.
For faded paint effect, keep the sunburned spots on the surfaces facing up, such as the roof, hood, top of fenders and bed (where the sun has been beatin' on it). I like the M2 and gunner out back though.
You got to admit this is better than WPL Jimny and D62/64. A bit of modification, and it will outperform the other ones. They have to sacrifice something to keep the prices reasonable but they sacrificed the right stuff that is easy to remedy. I really love my MN78 with the mods i made on it and i think this will be a close second or even first. The bones are good, the proportions are right, the battery is at the right location, the suspension can be tuned/upgraded, electronics can be easily upgraded, tires can be upgraded. I think this is really good, even of you leave everything stock, it's a solid beginner's rc truck. WPL could learn a lesson or two from MN
True that, the MN looks better than the WPL, also better control now with the MN82, They sacrified on the through hole parts soldering, solder blobs and janky solder points, had to go over lots of them
MN is intended for a very good RTR, because small modifications are enough. Meanwhile, WPL needs a lot of upgrades to reach the word adequate, especially considering that the WPL C74, which is the opponent of the Mn82, has entered 1/10 scale.
Really nice paint Job ! Love it !
Thanks for the sharpies for taillight colors tip!
Sharpies fade with UV, I think proper clear acrylic paint is the way to go
Looks awesome. Love that your getting into 3d printing very exciting.
I love that you get unusual stuff in to review, top job!
Awesome finished product ❤ Sure you’ll do more with it.
pretty damn good for that price! Try hair spray or chipping fluid on your silver base coat before the black top coat to get the worn look
Have waited for this review for so long, finally it's here!
Love it ! Love your vids. I'm a first time watcher. Excellent !
love the look and yes it performs better than the low price suggests, nicely done
1:28 ...I like this new camera angle.
Very nice weathering, reminiscent of the Enduro Ecto.
Great job Phil, what an awesome build! Just goes to show how you can make a cheap RC vehicle really cool inexpensively!
Cool truck, nice job on the paint!🎉
Finally you review for MN82. Is been a while I waiting for it since on early January. Great custom paint and I like the 3D print Gun.. 😅
Great video Phil, between yours and Aaron's reviews, i had to get one. Just ordered it off of Aliexpress, and managed to snatch it up for $41.60 US with FREE shipping. Thats insane. They might as well be giving it away. I'm gonna mount an FPV camera, a bunch of scale accessories, and drive it around the house since theres so much snow outside. It's gnna be so much fun. Great video as always bud. Keep up the amazing work youre doing. 😊👊
Nice! I got one for only $39
Nice to see they mounted to servo low down on the front axel. I had to do this mod on my mn99s.👍
I just ordered the parts to do that to my MN99S then I ordered the tan MN82 from AliExpress because it was cheap with good reviews
I got my WPL c24-1 RTR ... it is amazing. Thank you. GI Joe Lost his legs an part his hips too. I amhaving so much fun with the RC's
Loved the themed part at 9:37
If you play it back in .75 speed looks even better, less like a model
Most awesome paint job keep doing what you do thank you
I'm not crying, but I really enjoyed that T-Shirt and it's contents. Great video, I really like the camera angle.
Great paint job looks awesome
I really really like the new camera angle!
MN128.......worth a look too....great scale train truck
Love the big, dramatic musical score to a toy truck with a plastic guy standing on the flat bed. 😆
Blimey!!! That's a turn up for the books!! 😎👍🏻
the new cam set up reminds me of when u used to film out ur old garage. The truck looks so cool for the money dont think u can go wrong for a model or something like what u have done to it
Yes, reminds me a bit of that as well
Nice to see the coil front (predominantly) leaf on the rear and 5 lug rims. Marks for attention to specification. And yeah, watching 70 series on the tracks, the suspension isn't great, they are very awkward.
I have a few mn and wpl models and I almost never use them, to me it's more like a motorized scale model and for that price it's really hard to beat. Maybe you could find a model kit for around the same price, die cast models don't even bother to look, and they're static, I'm sort of in love with them and even I find it silly but it doesn't matter because I'm a silly guy and I llike it 😄
Now you've got me brainstorming up ideas, like some kind of Mad Max-style rig for my Dreadnoks to use against G.I. Joe. 😁
It's a good truck, I put some wpl wheels with soft tyres on mine, but I'm waiting for my metal upgrade kit to arrive. 😊
Just ordered one for 32 bucks with free shipping, figured having a little trail truck for the summer instead of my smaller 24 and 18 rigs
Thought you were gonna spin the box a couple more times!!! lol! Great review. Love the honesty.
Nicely done Phil
Great video, love the black. Is the modulation identical to the mn78?
That really isn't bad for the price. Love what you did with it too buddy.
Nice look. After all said and done. Can't bear the price. Thx. for the review. ✌️👍
Very cool little rig.
Red oxide paint,,, put some drops of water here and there,, put some salt on the water,, paint,,, knock of the salt,,, gives a good rusty, crusty look
Love the COBRA emblem on the ammo can.
Fantastic!! Paint job worked out great! Makes it tough to spot any poop tho 🤔
haha... Poop Camo
@@TomleyRC 😅🤘
Nice Review !
Should i get the MN82 oder the WPL c24-1 as a first crawler ?
Looks even better in the black!
Your new look is great, the chrome needs some weathering though to match.
Great video Phil, I appreciate that you expose me to new segments. While it's not my cup of tea, I'm sure there are plenty of folks who do appreciate it. -- For me I tend to feel it fails as a model and as an RC ... but again I am trying to keep in mind that FMS "model RCs" start at more than twice this price. I guess I just feel the price jump is justified for a better product. -- I would love to better appreciate from those that are excited by this vehicle ... why they are.
You did a good job on the painting Phil. Looks good
Cheers dude
Loved the drivers and weathered look. The crooked license plate tied everything together 😆
This is a very good review. It looks good and I liked your apocalyptic version.
Yes, that was the idea
Fun build and cheap. I definitely like the Landcruiser over the Hylux pickup as well.
I ordered this red one. I found a alloy kit with wheels and axles. Alloy links and 2 shocks (front) for around $41. I will be ordering it.
You can get oil dampen shocks and also portal axles but more $$ haha
I like the new camera angle :)
Good job! The only problem I have found with plastic is the weight balance and the winding of hollow parts.
What is the range, direct and indirect?
For the price you really can’t complain. A WPL C24 is $54 on Banggood for US buyers anyway. I don’t know what upgrades this one has available but there are a few for the WPL. It kinda makes me want to get either one and go nuts on it just for kicks.
Love your channel man great content!
Cheap, nice Toyota bodyshell and drives well. That´s why I have bought one too. Arrived today and I´m happy with the stock model. I will buy the $50 all metal kit to make it perform even better.
You rat look paint scratching did not worked well. You get better results in weathering with an airbrush.
I'd love more on the mn82
Keep up the good videos you're doing great
Looks absolutely great 👍🏻
Cheers dude
And, as per usual, upon viewing this review .....I now want one of these !
Welcome to 3d printing ! Good you enjoy it
I've been 3D printing for a few years dude... just never really talk about it :)
@@TomleyRC ok nice
My RC trucks look weatherd just from me driving them all the time 😅 I saw that Fox sticker on your Toyota , looks good
That thing is great!
Great work, I like it man
It has the same gearbox as the MN78 which is a favorite of mine. The motor is weakish but still capable. You can find a motor adapter plate to install a 370 motor in it.
This one drives better than the MN78, new ESC/receiver combo with a more capable driver IC
Great work the the body Phil buddy . I love this weathered look .
Awesome work 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Cheers Chris...
...with a C :)
It looks awesome. 🔥🔥🔥
That is cool!! Love it‼️👍👍🦾🦾🤘🤘
Wow when is this due out? As it’s not on MN Models webpage? I’ve got 2 MN99s, ( Landrover Defender ) One hard top & another pickup style.
I’ve had to do a few simple mods to make it run / steer better, but for the prices they ain’t bad as a starter crawler. I do wanna get the MN86 ( G wagon ) Daniel.
Maybe the weathering would have been easier while the paint was a little damp still? Still looks pretty sweet. Would be more of a display model for me rather than an RC I would plan on actually using.
For some reason yours stock has the steering link mounted to the top screws of the servo, more torque but limited angles as others have noticed, mine came installed in the 2nd hole, unless it was the seller's doing
Pretty model
With some plate weight hidden around it, it would have some potential for sure. That's hard to beat for $50!
Cool little truck after you did your mods 👌. It almost looks like the WPL truck, and maybe WPL parts like metal axles fit🤔
Looks good and nice custom job.
Cheers dudes
I would love if they could release a dual cab model too
LOL... ❤ That driving "movie" style... wow.
Is the big new project the new Cross RC post apocalypse truck/ train/ missile launcher 8x8x8???? That thing looks awesome!!!
like the new angle!
Get the mn168 as you will love it
That price point is incredible. It leaves you room to spend on any upgrades you want.
look's awesome Phil! great video.
Nice color grading!
Looks great!!!
Nice work on that truck ❤👍👍✌️👊👊👊👊👍
Sweet Im getting one lol.
I like that the hood opens and that battery location.
This scale- It's just a tad longer than the WPL-C24 🤔 👍
Love that Bob Ross 😅
This is my Favorite TH-cam channel! I'm still catching up on your videos.
Gnarly work this truck looks great! 👌 cheers 🍻
Well.. it's much better than WPL D62/64.. There's also a MN128 that you haven't review.. I wish you can covert your MN86 G-wagon into a really good crawler.. Would love to learn how you upgrade it..😊
The WPL C54 is the one to get, then upgrade with a hobbywing esc, 2 speed gearbox and metal diffs etc and you have an epic crawler for not alot
Would you do a video of the 1/32 orlandoo hunter mini truck?
Remove upper steering arm, sand off about a half mm, screw arm back to servo but this time on the hole furthest, put it all back together, enjoy about a 50% steering increase
The truck gave me Halo reach vibes at the end
Thx
Ooh, I hope your major project is also Mad Max-related! 😁
