Assalaamwalaikium, 41 not married, living with parents and thank you for this beautiful reminder, Allhamdulilah so thankful I am present in this moment with my loving parents Allhamdulilah, I have such a loving support network of family and friends that I know I can always turn to, sometimes Allah swt gives us things that maybe say 1 single man cannot....To me its about someone enhancing my life, I feel some cultures teach that marriage = happiness, this is not the case, we must turn to our Rab for everything and not putting the pressure on one person when we should have expectations upon our Rab to help us by turning to him.....May Allah swt give ease to those in difficulties, those who are still not married, those who have lost loved ones, may all our duahs reach them like a warm hug 🥰❤🌌

Why you staying wit your parents, And why you not married
100% sister. You speak the truth. Here's a summary of what I picked up on. I've tried to word it in a way that it applies to both husband and wife.
1:10 - Point 1: show up! Don't sleep walk. Have intention in why you are marrying or why you have married.
3:50 - having the intent to do good for the pleasure of Allah swt. Every act you do for your spouse, you are investing in your akhirah.
5:30 - making a commitment to take care of this amanah that Allah has blessed. We owe it to Allah swt. We should do whatever we can for Allah swt as he has blessed the husband/wife to be together. Many cry as they continue to seek a spouse.
8:15 - love for the sake of Allah. Do it for Allah. Be intentional as a spouse.
10:45 - earn the reward through your spouse. Allah swt has put you together for a purpose, for a reason. It wasn't random by Allah swt. There is something to learn from one another and or build together.
11:30 - Point 2: be positive! (Both spouse!). Have a positive attitude towards the role of being a spouse. This impacts the way we feel, the way we act, the way we speak, and it shows we expect good from Allah swt.
13:10 - our future generation needs to see positive role models when it comes to marriage. They need to see spouses putting in the effort, forgiving, being patient, kind and generous. They need to see as well as hear positive stories about marriage. We owe to ourselves and our future generations.
14:20 - Point 3: Cultivate gratitude! The reason we are unhappy, disappointed and frustrated, this is because we focus on the wrong things. Step back and see what's going well. See what your spouse is bringing to the table. Focus on their positives. Be grateful with your spouse. Do not take your spouse for granted as it can damage your marriage which could lead to divorce.
19:25 - Love the one you are with. Cherish the one you are with. Cultivate gratitude every single day. Thank Allah. Make dua for your spouse.
20:50 - we can never be grateful enough. Gratitude is from Allah. Whatever rizq we get (wealth, children, love, care, protection) it is from Allah. Fundementally the gratitude is to Allah. And if Allah has chosen this spouse for you that brings you good in this life, Love them. Care for them. Appreciate them.
22:15 - Point 4: have courage! This is a long term commitment! It's a marathon and not a sprint. There will be trials. These trials can be problems within the marriage. Which could lead to a break up. But having courage to put things behind and try again to reconcile and strengthen the marriage. And if you do it for the sake of Allah, he would bless you and make it easy for you.
26:30 - Point 5: embracing flow! Understanding that relationships goes up and down, which is normal. The flow of life of each other will differ in time. Spouses may need to adapt to a different kind of flow. It's part of life. Embrace it.
31:00 - Point 6: Be you! Enjoy being a spouse the way that you are. Bring yourself to the table. Don't lose your personality. Don't pretend to be someone that you are not. Be clear to your spouse who you are so your spouse understands who you are. Have fun with it in your relationship.

Different stages in life test the best of us and being able to adapt to life changes as well as each other in those times is so important. May Allah put baraka im pur marriages ameen 🤲🏾

Jazaki Allahu khairan sister. At 25:25 you quote a statement in Arabic, we're human so we make mistakes so forgive me if I'm wrong but I think it was the Hadith "verily actions are by intentions." [Inna ma al amalu bi niyat] and not "Verily with hardship comes ease" [Inna ma al usri yusraa]
