Whenever I see a new upload with sister Umm Talha I run because mashAllah she gives such great perspective. As someone who got married just about a year ago there are so many things you don't even think about. This is great advice jazakAllah khair to both of you for bringing this to us

Asalamu alaykum marriage is something which brings a couple more closer together when it's connected to the Deen and Allah SWTA. The finer points of reminding each other about Allah and to practice on the sunnah and normally communicating with each other despite your differences and trying to fix the broken pieces in the relationship and being there for each other during good and bad

46:53 very much agree with that point. I remember my wife argued with me about it even though I asked her politely and my concerns.
She literally said to me that she fought with her parents to get some freedom and to go outside, and she's having to now argue with me to just get some freedom without me knowing her exact location.
After that she began lying to me about it. I found out as it was causing me doubts of her where abouts, and I just knew we weren't meant to be. There were other issues too.
Frankly speaking with marriage, don't try and create doubt for your spouse. Doubts can lead to unhappy marriages, arguments, resentment and even divorce. Always be open and honest.

You sound controlling. Just because a woman decided to become your wife does not make her your child. She is an adult.

@@feather99999999 I thought of my wife as an amanah. Not a child.
If a wife was to ask her husband of his where abouts and he was shady about his location, the wife will have doubts. Probably thinking her husband is cheating on her.
Similarly my ex was meeting with non mahram men although I've advised her not to. Is that controlling?

At the end of the day, I am accountable of my actions and I know that I will have to answer to Allah if I oppress my wife.

Assalamu aleikom sister. I tried to express to my husband in every imaginable way that i would like to spend more time with him but he doesn’t care. He gets angry and work or whatever else is always more important than me. When i try to take the initiative, make home nice etc he doesn’t like it either. Idk what to do anymore. He doesn’t want to get counselling and tells me literally everything is my fault. I should not question or talk about anything
