    My new shoe for 2021, @61 and average 13-15K steps per day (Includes running) has given me a new lease of life!! With a worn knee (2 Arthroscopes) can run and walk with forward motion even faster on grassed surfaces. Great review 👍😎🇦🇺

    I love these. I experienced some pain after picking up running again using my old Nike shoes on asphalt, so I got them picked out in a dedicated runner's store. I am 8-10 kg (~20 lb) overweight and a tall man, so I need shoes to match. No pain what so ever. These are the perfect shoes for me at this moment.

    Totally agree. I love my Bondi 7s. I need cushioning because of issues with my back (permanent injuries in the Lumbar area), and Hoka continues to be the best shoe for me.

    • @tammyschilling5362
      @tammyschilling5362 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Anicento there seems to be some inconsistency with the 6s. My old pair went 500+ and were great. My current pair the side is coming apart, just like yours, on both shoes in the same spot at 300 miles. Kind of annoying. I have a 3rd pair that is only 100ish miles and so far, so good. I really hate uneven manufacturing.

    • @Anicento

      @@tammyschilling5362 yeah guess it's just the luck of the draw. They seem to have worked on the upper of the 7s so I might look into getting a pair of those other than the early tear I loved my Bondis.

    I have been through 2 of these shoes. Each one lasts about 4-5 months and 500 miles. I wear out the heels down to the plastic heel part. That's the only negative I would give it. My Brooks Ghost 13 with the same mileage never did it. That said, my Ghosts don't have near the cushion as my Bondi 7.

    • @MarkMarky666
      @MarkMarky666 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive noticed that also where the heel part wears down a hole in the material and exposes the plastic, it like they need to put a more durable material in the heel cup....other than that I love the Bondi 6 and 7.

    I had the Bondi 6 and found it quite roomy, I have a wide mid foot, so ordered the Bondi 7 online, it arrived and it was far too tight across the mid foot, had to send it back. @GiovanniClean 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Kofuzi when you say you noticed some midsole creases, do you mean you see some creases on the outside of the midsole or you can feel a crease across the midsole underfoot? Both my Clifton 1 rerelease and my Rincon 1s both developed a crease across the foot that I could feel under my foot as I ran. Like a spot where the midsole had basically failed and left a permanent fold or crease cutting across the midsole at mid foot. I’m nervous to buy another pair of road hokas after that, but these seem like what I need for long pavement miles in my upcoming training block.

    I've never noticed the heel "up turn" on hokas. I drag my left heel especially on any run over or around half marathon distance. I recently picked up the zoom fly flyknit and have been using it for long runs and faster longer attempts. I noticed some pretty decent foam wear on the left heel after about 30 miles. So much so, that I had to check some of my other pairs of shoes. But it makes sense that a company would shave that little bit off of the heel, even if only for weight reduction if nothing else.

      the bondi 6 IS considerably more cushioned and feels like squishy ,pillow soft under heel and midsole..I tried both the 6 and 7 ... the 7 did Not have that walking on clouds feel at all..only a slight bit of give but nowhere near as much as the 6..Having only tested the 7's in store, I actually own the 6's and am trying to get used to them... I wanted max cush and got it but these are strange feeing shoes that do not feel effortless to walk or jog in..they absorb Ur energy as well as impacts but do no offer any energy Return to give u a springy ,forward moving ride..they remind me of walking on the beach where it Takes energy to do so and also to keep balance... they are soft but i dont like them at all ..the bondi 7 may have been a better choice or perhaps maybe not even a hoka at all.

    I think you have to be foot dead if you can't feel the Bondi 6 is a lot softer than the 7 . The 7 is 2x harder and you should have been able to feel that right away . The 7 is not a upgrade in softness that's for sure . I'm really disappointed you didn't point the out . If you were to ask 100 people that wore the 6 and then got the 7 the first think they will tell you is the 7 is a lot harder foam .

      Same question. I have the Boston 8 and 9 (picked up a new v.8 on sale before they disappeared completely in my size). The Hyperion Tempos fall in this category for me. They have a good amount of cushion albeit a firmer, responsive type. Actually I’m using the Endorphin Speeds for days when I need more forgiving cushion (longer and both slower and faster days). I’m just too used to shoes (like the Bostons) that “disappear” on my feet, ie. that feel Iike an extension of my feet instead of reminding me that there’s something on my feet. That rules out heavier shoes, very “plush” shoes, all of which distract me and feel like too much shoe. I’m very petite and light (5’3” 1-2 lbs, for context). Like Mike, I also don’t think a shoe should need a break-in period when there are so many shoes that are incredible out of the box. Martha

      I cant say for the 7s, but I got the 6 in wide and it was too wide. Not cut like a Speedgoat 3 or 4. Even my 6' that were undersized felt good on my toes.

      @@manojthawani2797 Hi, I ended up buying both, & I'm keeping the Triumph 18 because its upper is more comfortable, the midsole is wonderfully cushioned, and, overall, the Triumph 18 is a smaller shoe which I like. The Bondi 7 is huge, and not so comfortable around my ankle.

    Honestly I want to get some because they look so comfortable but 150$ for a shoe that I'll only be doing easy miles in, clifton 6 caused issues too, kind of messed up my toes because the sidewalls in the forefoot cramped my toes (I don't have a wide foot or anything) and I ended up switching to altra escalantes which I love so far, a little sparse on the cushion but definitely manageable

      Hoka is every bit as good as Nike. I actually buy Hoka over Nike since I got into long distance running. In my Ultramarathons, people are wearing more Hoka than Nike. What matters is how they fit you and if you like the offset and rocker.

    I have the Bondi 6 but to be fair I find it too built up. Too much rubber for me also. Will probably not buy one again as the forefoot is slightly too narrow and is uncomfortable at over 6 miles which defeats the object for this shoe. I have done 280 miles in it and will use it in the winter to 450+ miles.
