I enjoy your channel! One question… eating protein throughout the day is going to spike insulin each time… especially if I am insulin resistant. I eat OMAD with good protein to avoid those spikes. Would you agree that eating protein throughout the day does spike insulin? Thank you!!😊
You are asking the wrong question. Any food you eat is going to cause a rise in insulin - protein can stimulate a greater insulin response. Similarly a large meal, ie. via OMAD will cause a greater spike than a smaller meal. Insulin isn't the problem though. Eating too many calories is the problem. If anything, OMAD will worsen insulin resistance - we have data showing that more muscle vs. fat is lost in those that follow OMAD vs. smaller more frequent protein meals through the day. Less muscle = greater insulin resistance. Your muscles need pulses of protein through the day to maintain muscle protein synthesis.
easy peasy: 3 egg omelet is 21 grams protein. can of tuna, salmon or sardines, about 25 to 29 grams, glass of milk, 8 grams (but 14 grams carbs..) lean meats, not processed. make hamburger patties, eat without bun, but with knife and fork, topped with fried onions and mushrooms. protein shakes, I dont like the powders, but enjoy the premade liquid ones from Costco.

I think when people wonder if the drug is no longer working is when they hit a stall for a few weeks even when following about the same diet plan that had working for them for months as they lost weight. Do you still think the stall is related to one of those four reasons you mentioned or are stalls eventually normal on these drugs?

You have to practice. Start with one small snack during the day and get really good at having that then add more in. Your body will get used to it and generally hunger etc comes back. Set a timer. When it goes off have the small snack. As it gets easier make the snack bigger or add another snack else where. It will take a few weeks but it will get easier.
