My Mom has been making sausage balls for years. Family gets upset if she doesn't. I've taken on the tradition and this inspires me to add some heat this year. Great videos!

In place of jalapenos, we use Tennessee pride hot sausage, even tho i'm from rural Ky. We had them last week at deer camp, delicious, & can't beat Wisconsin butter & cheese. My family have been in Oregon since at least 1867 ! I saw letters from r relatives from them .but I have seen old books saying the cheese makers came from Wisconsin .

My mother's Family is from Redbird and Muskogee. Irish and Native American . My great grandmothers sister married a 'Rollins' in Oklahoma. My grandma passed in 2009' she moved to Colorado when she was a kid. Most of the family from Denver has passed. God bless you and your family Mr. Rollins!

Holy Cow Chips Kids! Made 'em this morning and been beagle dancing around the kitchen ever since. This recipe actually turned out 48 ping pong ball sized. Perfect for the one bite heavenly taste test. Thanks Kent and Shannon!
I learned to make these 42 years ago when as a kid I went to work for a company that sold them. I sometimes flatten the balls to like a palm sized biscuit, so people can slice them open and eats them with homemade apple butter or milk gravy. During Christmas, I keep a large batch of these in the freezer, (they freeze great), and that way no one is ever more than a half hour away from having one if they want it.
I just wanted to thank you for the brine recipe for the turkey I did it for Thanksgiving on a 22 pound bird and it turned out fantastic well worth the time and effort

i started making them a couple of months ago without the heat my 5 year old grandson loves them. i love them also. One of these times i am going to try adding syrup to a few of the to see how the turn out. That would be great if a i can get away without having to sever syrup with them. I use an old ice cream scoop to keep the portions even. The scoop with the wiper works great.

Kent said you can substitute Italian sausage or chorizo on the sausage ball recipe, Now I can say he is right on the money with Italian sausage. They are Samfantastic!

I had a recipe for sausage balls....ditched it after seeing Kent's. Much better this year!
I think the way everything is cooked is so amazing. I bet it tastes better cooked out there , than in a oven
